“This restaurant is super fun. The decor is wild and crazy and the food is so good. Don't let the long wait fool you, it's totally worth it! Just put your name on the waitlist and go across the street to the pub for a couple of drinks. When you get inside, make sure to check out the eyeball above the coffee bar and the awesomly cool bathrooms! For food, you have to have the pancakes. They were so delicious and not something you can find at many other restaurants.“
“Best breakfast of 2024. The duck and truffle omelette is definitely catapulted my cholesterol levels to the moon but it was worth it. It was greasy due to the truffle oil and eggs but absolutely delicious. The restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating. Music was on point and staff was energetic. A great spot for Sunday brunch“
“I love Lucky’s ~ he’s a one man band and is such a great man to talk to. I can’t wait to go again.Parking: We parked on the street with no issue at all.Kid-friendliness: My sons love coming here. They are welcomed and Lucky talks to them like they are his own children. He even told my son he couldn’t have soda and brought him milk instead ? I love him!“
“Nice to little cafe inside the TD America building. I got the French toast special with both sausage and bacon. And then my friend got the waffle special. Everything was excellent. Eggs were scrambled perfect, sausage was flavorful, bacon was meaty and flavorful, and the French toast and waffles were both very good. We will definitely be back.“
“Visiting Del Mar for a family event, we happened on the Broken Yolk cafe. It was Sunday at 11 am, seeing a small crowd waiting for a table boded well for a local favorite breakfast spot. The menu was extensive. We ordered eggs, Machaca and Heuvos Rancheros, both delish! My favorite part of the meal was the excellent service given by Geraldo. He was so welcoming and attentive, a giant thank you to him.“
“I loved the decor. No wait for a Saturday morning at 9 am, which was nice. The Bacon But Different was the shining star. Highly recommend it. The French toast was just average. My husband liked his eggs benedict. Our server was awesome. I kind of want to come back to try the short rib loco moco (spring special). I will be dreaming of their bacon. Spicy and sweet, perfectly cooked, tender with a touch of crisp.“
“We come here for breakfast whenever we are in PB visiting family. My husband loves it because It never disappoints. Friendly and fast service. Terrific burrito breakfasts and egg sandwich with large portions. Great coffee. You can sit inside or outside. Prices are reasonable.“
“My family and I had the best time here. The decor was very nice. Upstairs, they played funny video clips for the kids. The servers were great. Helped in every way, checked on us to see how we were doing, and one young lady even took our picture for us. One of the servers carried a full glass of water on top of 3-4 other full glasses. The food was the very best part. There was more than enough to eat if you could stop eating. The price was very good too. I would have paid more.“
“Easily one the best joints I have found in the past few years. The quality of their steak as part of a breakfast meal was way better than I am used to outside of a dinner at a high end steak place. One of us has a gluten allergy and they had plenty of great gluten free options. I have been twice in two days now and all of the food has been excellent. Their staff are also super welcoming and courteous.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“I love this restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.“
“We don’t usually go out for breakfast (the easiest meal to make at home for 1/8th the cost & healthier, tastier dishes) but…we tried the Chiliquilles and memosa sampler and had a very tasty and filling meal (feeds two), wonderful service by Rocael at The Mira Mesa restaurant and a waitress even stopped by briefly for a human conversation. Walked away with full belly’s, a great experience and a nice little buzz. Will return if we can get Rocael and the nice waitress who was closer to our age (think post Logans Run). Sorry, love…didn’t catch your name. Would be GREAT if we could get the same choices as The PB restaurant!!“
“I got the chicken Chipotle sandwich and my friend got the tuna salad sandwich. She got the chicken noodle soup on the side while I got the house made kettle chips. Everything was so so delicious. It all tasted so fresh. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is so friendly and there was not a single thing that missed. Very well done and hats off to the owner.“
“If this review shows as edited, that's because I accidentally clicked the post button before getting to writing down the ACTUAL review I had intended to do, a mistake on my part.We sat down for breakfast at about 10:00 AM today, and we were seated promptly, our waiter was a really friendly bald man whose name I forgot to ask. He was really attentive and came to check on us regularly, I also saw him checking up on other patrons. We ordered two cups of coffee and an order of the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, one over medium, one over easy. The coffee was some of the best we've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken fried steak and home fried potatoes were nice and crispy the sausage gravy was delicious, and the potatoes came fried with red and green bell pepper and onion. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, incredibly flavorful. The eggs were cooked exactly as we wanted it.The staff was wonderful, everyone we interacted with was friendly, and they really paid attention to the customers. This place is pretty high up on my list of favorite places to eat in San Diego. We are DEFINITELY coming back to eat here again! It's nice to have a restaurant of this quality in my neighborhood and that is easy to walk to as there isn't many sit down restaurants in the area. I regret not coming to eat here sooner!“
“My best friend and I had an amazing experience here! We were on a mini vaca and came across this amazing little gem. There was little to no wait and the server was amazing even though they were a bit busy! My bestie had Papas Loco which had: Rosemary potatoes, grilled jalapenos, black beans, cheese, avocado slice, sour cream, tomatoes, scallions and tortillas. We added on scrambled eggs and soy chorizo for an additional fee which was well worth it. The total for her dish came out to about $18.50. I had the Steak and Eggs which had: Grilled CAB Steak, horseradish cream, tomatoes, scallions, rosemary potatoes, grilled rosemary bread and scrambled eggs. My total came out to about $19 even. With drinks and everything our total came out to about $41. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing and the vibes are on another level! Not pricey at all for the amount of food you get. The food is so flavor and the Rosemary potatoes are to die for! I'm not a big breakfast eater or fan of breakfast but this is one of the best breakfast I've had in my whole life and I'm not joking! I would highly recommend this place to anyone heading down to San Diego! I can't rave enough about this amazing little place that we found!“
“This place is delicious! There was no wait time, which was surprising because it was Sunday noon. The place was very nice, the atmosphere and the vibes were great! The plates are individually designed, but you can definitely share them with your +1. I ordered the short ribs omelet, turkey Benedict, and Dutch pancake. And to drink a pitcher of Sandia Margarita. Everything was exquisite! 10 out of 10!!Oh! And the waiters... LOVED them!!!“
“Nice place in downtown-ish San Diego we stopped before heading to the airport.Sunday morning around 11, Service was super friendly, a little slow sometimes but Sundays are crazy. Skipped over us a few times. The food was good, the coffee was very good. Nice cappuccino. We had chilaquiles, tamales and pancakes. All were pretty good, certainly not the best we’ve had of any of the three but all high level and done well.Parking is pretty tough had to find a spot 2-3 blocks away. Which is fine.Overall we would definitely come back.“
“The food is amazing I recommend the Good Morning America breakfast bun. It's so amazing. The service was excellent as well Aleah was very helpful and made my coffee very tasty. The ambiance is very chill, free water is available and there is an outdoor patio to hang out. Definitely recommend going 5/5 for sure!“
“Hannah's Gourmet in San Diego, California, deserves a solid 5 stars! Their vanilla lattes are superb, striking a perfect balance of coffee and vanilla. The green chilaquiles are an absolute delight—crispy tortilla chips, vibrant green sauce, and fresh ingredients create an unforgettable Mexican-inspired experience. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff complete the fantastic dining experience. Don't miss it for an authentic culinary journey!“
“Amazing take on breakfast, located in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego. I had a a traditional breakfast, with eggs, house potatoes, and bacon. Husband had the fried rice benedict and it was amazing, too! Great service, festive decor, awesome brunch drinks. Can't say enough great things. Highly recommend.“
“This place was so great!! Huge menu w so many choices. The eggs Benedict all looked good but I went w a lemon pancake. The smell was so good everyone commented. The portions are almost double what you can eat. The French toast bread was so big I had not seen bread that big. The atmosphere was brought and clean. The service was quick and patient and friendly. We were sat very quickly for a Sunday at 10a. The drinks were served in cool tall glasses. The fresh fruit was real unfrozen fruit. The syrup was clean! The tables were well made and not wobbly. This is a definite repeat location.“
“One of the best experiences we have ever had. From the moment we walked in we had a wonderful lady named Julie greet us and she was our waitress. She made the BEST coffee and was so kind. She made today even more special than it already was. This location is where my soon to be husband and I had our first date 3 years ago. Today we were celebrating our last Valentine’s Day before we get married! This is our tradition every year but this year Julie really made it so special! She was amazing and we would go back just to see her! Thank you so much Julie for being an amazing addition to our memories! She even got us the salt and pepper shakers! Love love love!!“
“I was pleasantly surprised to find good homemade food at a very reasonable price. I had the steak and shrimp and my husband had a burger. I’m on a weird diet and they were very accommodating. I asked for extra butter and got a ramekin of soft butter instead of those little individually wrapped cubes. We can’t wait to go back for breakfast. We ate at the Serra Mesa location.“
“The short line outside gave it already away. This place is popular for a reason. Friendly staff and atmosphere. 1 point of because I had the yoghurt and the portion was a bit small (yes I can't believe I'm posting this for a US place ;-p)“
“Totally the coolest breakfast place!! Decor is so creative and fun with various seating options. Staff friendly and helpful. Food awesome. I feel I am hooked up on their special cinnamon coffee just after one cup. What a fabulous way to start a day! MUST come back!“
“Great and fast service. You can park here as well but just need to park underneath the building and they validate you for 2 hours. the portions are huge as well. I had the country fried steak with rosemary potatoes and a coffee all for under $20 ??. kept me full all day and tasted great. will return“
“The bacon and eggs were great! I also had the apple fritter pancakes which were average. Coffee was good and strong, though. Overall it was a very good atmosphere but the pancakes could have had a little more flavor ( kind of dry on one hand but moist where the apples were located on the pancakes). Worth a return visit to sample more foods.“
“the food is absolutely divine!!! i would go here everyday if i could. i had the sweet potato pancakes they were nothing like anything i've ever had. so so good. if you're in the area i recommend trying. the service was good our waiter was decent. the inside was pretty loud which can make it a little hard to hear the person in front of you but overall it was amazing!!“
“Great food, superb service and a nice café ambiance. You cannot go wrong here. The skillet was excellent and for anyone with a sweet tooth you will not be let down with the dishes offered on the menu. The coffee mugs were topped off by the attentive server who was most cordial. Well worth the visit!“
“Looking for the friendly restaurants that are dog friendly? Patio space is open and inviting. Food is good and service was timely! The Vanilla Matcha Tea Latte was delicious, not sweet. Breakfast Snooze classic and Sam I am are our go to favorites!“
“First time here. I always ask myself after eating at someplace new … ‘would I come back again?’ The answer for this place is …. Yes I would!!! And will!! Linguisa sausage and rosemary potatoes complimented eggs perfectly! GF also happy with vegan/gluten free offerings. If you’ve not been here I do highly recommend.“
“The food is outstanding and there is a varied menu. I have never been made to feel so welcome in any establishment I have visited in my life. Beyond the food your visit will be enriched by engaging with Judy 'the beauty on duty' who lavishes love on her customers and the food they eat. Oh, and it is perfectly OK to stop eating and have an impromptu dance.“
“The staff make the Mission Valley location sing as well as the food. I cannot say enough about the manager April and bartender Tania. The coffee is excellent too. A great place for solo diners to enjoy breakfast at the bar. You feel like you are walking into “Cheers” If you are crabby in the morning go there to get your day started with a smile. They spread kindnesses. I will be a customer at that location as long as I am in San Diego“
“Visiting my cousin and she took me to Breakfast Republic. My San Diego Eggs Benedict were perfect and delicious. The right texture, temperature and flavors. I paired it with the bottomless Cafe de Olla (which was flavorful with spices, but well balanced).“
“If you're looking for a hole in the wall this place is for you! This is the perfect breakfast experience. The waitress was funny and amazing and it feels like the dive bar you want for a great breakfast. The flood was awesome. Had the point break which is like the traditional breakfast. Hubs had corned beef hash and added jalapenos which was the perfect spice.10/10 recommend“
“7 Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown San Diego. Their sandwiches have the best bread, and the pesto pasta side is incredible. My favorite sandwich is the Dank, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.Parking: Since the restaurant is Downtown, the parking is either paid parking meter or a paid lot.“
“We had a GREAT brunch here last Saturday! First thing to know is when you drive here be aware that the sign for Lazy Hippo is very difficult to see. Look for the Whiskey House - it is right next door and actually Lazy Hippo isn't even open - everything is served at the Whiskey House. Food was delicious - they have a few vegan options that were good - my vegan breakfast burrito was a little bland but nothing some salt and pepper coudln't fix. The breakfast potatoes were excellent. My husband ordered the (Not Vegan) Enfrijoladas Loaded and said it was excellent. The server was VERY nice and said they make a lot of their own sausage, etc and all their burgers are hand crafted. Will definitely be coming back! They have Happy Hour every night. We ate outside on the patio but the ambience inside the Whiskey House is kind of fun - we will definitely be back!“
“When I first walked in, and had to check in, I thought, uh oh... snobby wine bar. Well, it is kinda a hipster wine bar, but still pretty cool! It's like walking down into a wine cellar at a Napa winery with it's concrete floors and sparce interior decorations. There are bars set up all around, and little couches for people in the middle of the room.“
“I've had Emilio's Paella several times at the Rancho Santa Fe farmers market and I have to say, it's one of my favorite vendors there. The paella is so good that it rivals the ones that I've had in Madrid and Barcelona! Emilio makes the paella in a giant pan right in front of you, and you can tell that he puts a lot of care into making it. The flavors are incredible and the rice is always cooked perfectly.Recently, I decided to try the procuitto bocadillo for the first time and I don't know why I waited so long to try it! The combination of prosciutto, tomatoes, and roasted red pepper is absolutely delicious. I will definitely be getting one of these sandwiches the next time I visit Emilio's Paella. If you're at the farmers market and you're looking for something delicious to eat, definitely stop by Emilio's Paella. You won't regret it!“
“Amazing take on breakfast, located in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego. I had a a traditional breakfast, with eggs, house potatoes, and bacon. Husband had the fried rice benedict and it was amazing, too! Great service, festive decor, awesome brunch drinks. Can't say enough great things. Highly recommend.“
“Food was ok .. small we were told 20 min for table but took around 45 min .. it was a Sunday too .so ok no problem.. food was ok .. the waiter was nice but everyone in the front was super busy and they needed someone to bus tables ... Had to ask for utensils twice .. close to Little Italy ..“
“Food was amazing, my boyfriend got the sope Benedict and it was very flavorful, I got the breakfast burger and it was huge, couldn't even finish it. Our server Rodrigo was very attentive since the start. Looking forward to coming back!“
“Found this little place on Mission Beach through Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. My son and I had the Mirning Woody burger and it was delicious. Served with fried potatoes which were also good. Only downside was that my wife’s order of Avocado toast was missed. The staff offered to make her one fast but the moment had passed. ?“
“The food is just spectacular. Not to mention their service. We were celebrating my nieces 6th birthday and she enjoyed every moment of it. This place is kid and pet friendly just like most restaurants in San Diego. Definitely coming back here when I visit.“
“The time has come to make an honest review- I've ordered for the past 6+?months ordering only the Firebird burrito for breakfast here or there when craving it, maybe 6-7 times total. I like to see if it was just a hit or miss on perfection with multiple orders, multiple locations of delivery. IMO- honestly, this is the best damn breakfast burrito by a mile I've had for years and years (for sure). I ordered many times using Doordash (which can be inconsistent due to the travel/lag time/maybe the egg got too hard) but these Firebirds have been POINT ON. The runny egg is totally key- it's pure perfection in a tortilla with that chicken, the sauce, those green onions and the coue de resistance runny yolks. Highly recommend!!!!“
“Easily the BEST BREAKFAST in San Diego! The waitress Ana is so friendly and handles the whole restaurant with ease. The food!! The food is amazing they have hash browns with peppers and onions... so good! And the BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY ever!! A real gem and they open at 7 for you early birds. Came here once last week and now I go everyday. Seriously so good!“
“My favorite breakfast place in San Diego! Not overpriced like many of the other places here. The ambiance is so nice (cute restaurant in one of Point Loma's oldest houses). The food is amazing and always SO hot so you know it's fresh. The coffee is absolutely amazing. I never buy coffee out, but I'll treat myself to a coffee here since it's something I know I'll never be able to make as good at home. Service is awesome - everyone is so kind and helpful. I always bring people that visit to breakfast here and everyone has loved it. They have tons of different options for people (basic breakfasts and cool new things to try). Bakery items are always so yummy too! It's also dog friendly on the patio which is always a plus for me! Highly recommend you try this place out!“
“My wife and i went here on the recommendation of some friends. We met some other friends there. The food was really good. We all loved our breakfasts. It was quiet enough to have a conversation without feeling like you were yelling. The staff was very friendly. The food came out a bit slow, but we didn't care because we were catching up. I would definitely recommend this place if you aren't in a big hurry. We will definitely be back with others in tow.Dietary restrictions: They seemed to be very flexible on menu changes, there was also food to order.Parking: There is a nice big free parking structure just next door. We were there on a Sunday morning so this could be different on a Friday afternoon.“
“Good variety at the brunch buffet, good service. It was my wife's bday and a festive platter of macarons, cheesecake and dipped strawberries awaite our arrival! That was a beautiful surprise! Right out the door is Seaport Village which is nice for a post-buffet stroll and shopping.“
“IHOP is one of my all-time favorites when you're hungry for breakfast anytime of the day. What I love the best is definitely the strawberry crepes although just happened to taste the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich. I am impressed!! The chicken was crispy, the sauce was a complex smoky, peppery taste rich in texture and deeply satisfying. I will be back for more.Parking: There is lots and lots of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible.“
“We didn't have to wait for a table on a Sunday afternoon, which was surprising.I visited the restaurant twice in a week. The food was good. I tried the Chilaquiles, the breakfast toastadas, SD Benedict and the protein scramble. Loved the crispy potatoes! It's a cute little spot for breakfast with a great variety of vegetarian options too.Parking can be tricky.“
