“When Pho Benny took over a typical burger joint in town, we were ecstatic. We didn't have a Vietnamese spot in this stuffy town and boy was it needed. An example of how customer service brings you back to a place to feel the good vibes. I really do treasure my time eating here. I always get a pho bowl and a bahn mi (sandwich on a baguette) because they both are so good I can't leave one out. I'm a sandwich guy and the bread they use is the closest I taste to France. Meat is always tender and the vegetables always fresh. You feel like family when you eat at Pho Benny. Gold standard of dining in Lafayette.“

“Did't realize that this place was pretty much only takeout. There was one table inside, but it seemed that an employee was sitting there, althought unclear why when we would have welcomed the seat. Also, it was a bit odd that for spicy noodles (pho), it was $2 extra. Seems a bit steep. Prices are okay, but a bit on the higher side for amount of food you'll get. I do think it is good to support small businesses in Oakland and for that, I would come again. No photos yet, since it was takout and those don't look as nice to do photos of.“

“I've been hearing about how great the bánh mì's are here and this past weekend, I finally made time to try. We went on Sunday morning around 10am, and there was a short line. After ordering, it took maybe 10 minutes - not bad, since there were quite a few people waiting for their food. My partner and I ordered a beef bánh mì, and bánh mì xá xíu, both with a fried egg. Also got nước rau má and bánh giầy. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We got to the car, and devoured the sandwiches in 5 minutes. Every thing was fantastic. Felt like I was reliving my childhood snacks. Will definitely be back!“

“I’ve only tried the chicken bahn mi and their Thai iced tea. Both very yummy and I recommend the bahn mi.. but I have an issue with how much ice they give you in the Thai iced tea. You basically only get a half cup of the tea. I will show a picture of what the cup looks like with ice taken out. And this is after I asked for less ice.“

“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“

“I've been eyeing Lemon Pepper for some time, and recently, my partner mentioned cravings for noodle soup. Perfect opportunity to try LPVC!We arrived, and took about 5 minutes to look for street parking. We entered the store around 11:30 or so, and it was cuter than I was expecting. There were some nice decor and I liked the interior paint colors. We were quickly served and the food came out within 8-10 minutes. We ordered #9 & #10 and both hit the spot. I ate #9 and everything was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and every component was 10/10. Delicious. I tried the broth from #10 and it was so delicious. My partner really enjoyed it. We left satisfied and look forward to returning! They had a sign that they will be temporarily closed part of august 2023 through November 2023. We look forward to visiting when they return!“

“I randomly stopped by this place on the way to the post office for a snack. I didn’t have any expectations but I am blown away by the food. Best Banh Mi I have ever had! The bread was baked to perfection, the ingredients were generous and delicious. I will definitely come back for more!“

“Hands down the BEST of all Oakland Vietnamese has to offer! The fried chicken rolls are addictive, the veggies and chicken spring rolls fresh and flavorful. My favorites are their grilled pork Bahn Mi and grilled chicken Pho. Consistently delicious take out EVERYtime.“

We arrived around 6ish and there was not too many people but by the time we left, it was 3/4 full.A very modern ambiance for a Vietnamese restaurant. Nicely decorated and plenty of tables even for a big group. It's located in the old Blanding shopping area now where Nob Hills Market is where they modernized the place from my childhood days in Alameda. Alameda has been changing a lot over the decade and for the better with more places to eat.We ordered their sangria and it was pretty good. We also ordered their Beef Luc Lac. Very good portions of beef. The marinated beef was very good and we finished all of that. We also ordered their Lau Pork Bone Marrow soup, and added Wagyu beef and some enoki mushrooms! Not a disappoint. I actually thought the pot was small and that it was not enough for my husband and I to share but I was so wrong!! Very rich broth but once you add the veggies it makes the broth so much better. The broth was so good and creamy.Since it was only two of us, we couldn't order more or add a dessert to try because we were just too full from two things. Service was great! We will definitely be back to try other things. If you like hot pot style, come try this place.“

“This is our go to sit in or delivery order! The prices are good the food is fresh and they provide a whole vegetarian menu. We love this spot any time we want some a home made meal. “What an amazing addition to Pleasant Hill! First off, the service is wonderful. The man (whom I am assuming is the owner) is so nice/sweet. Second, there is actually parking in front for take out orders! Third, the food is amazing and portions are a good size! We ordered: 1. Shrimp rolls #1 -- fresh and yummy! 2. Bun Bo Hue #14 -- SO SO good!!! 3. Grilled Beef with Garlic noodles #33 -- SO good! My girls loved the garlic noodles 4. Grilled Chicken with Garlic Noodle #32 -- SO good! 5. Grilled Chicken Salad #23 -- my dad loved this salad so much, he finished the entire entree in one sitting. He Initially said he'd only finish half. “Best authentic broth in Concord.. hands down. The prices reflects that. A lot of Pho restaurants in general is just fast canned beef bullion broth as a base. No authentic spices, love, and time spent on the broth. However, Hello Pho is consistent and the broth hits all the necessary notes. They deserve a better location in Concord as they're the real deal for real on the real cause you know the deal it's not a steal because it's a real feel good tasting Pho... if you don't know now you know..“

“V&J Fusion is where it's at! This Oakland homey local eatery has friendly service and is dishing out some classic authentic Vietnamese dishes. I don't know anywhere else that makes Bum Mam and let me tell you this places makes it right! The broth is light, sweet, and savory topped with assorted proteins such as their homemade crispy pork belly. To compliment the noodles we got banh mi as an appetizer and yes we asked them cut it 3 ways because the whole fam wanted to try it. The bread was crisp yet soft and loaded with meat. To tie the whole meal together we got some crispy chicken wings with the perfect sauce: fish sauce. This hole in the wall restaurant is a gem. Glad I found this place!“

“Third time eating here so thought I dropped a review. Banh mi sandwich es we're flavorful with the right balance of sauce and veggies. My son and I really enjoyed the chicken and grilled pork. We've ordered one of each per visit. I like how simple it is to place the order via the kiosk, especially to go. Last night we decided to dine in. I had the grilled pork with egg roll vermicelli dish and I appreciated the fresh veggies. The fat was nicely charred. My son had the grilled pork rice dish and a grilled pork banh mi (he was famished from band rehearsal:-)). The ambiance is nothing spectecular; just another standard Vietnamese restaurant.
