“I've been eyeing Lemon Pepper for some time, and recently, my partner mentioned cravings for noodle soup. Perfect opportunity to try LPVC!We arrived, and took about 5 minutes to look for street parking. We entered the store around 11:30 or so, and it was cuter than I was expecting. There were some nice decor and I liked the interior paint colors. We were quickly served and the food came out within 8-10 minutes. We ordered #9 & #10 and both hit the spot. I ate #9 and everything was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and every component was 10/10. Delicious. I tried the broth from #10 and it was so delicious. My partner really enjoyed it. We left satisfied and look forward to returning! They had a sign that they will be temporarily closed part of august 2023 through November 2023. We look forward to visiting when they return!“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“I noticed this place was near a school I was working at for the day and decided to check it out. I placed my order and wanted to change the pick up to an earlier time so I called. The man on the phone said he could have it in 10 minutes. I was amazed by the great customer service. I arrived in 5 minutes and my order was ready by then. I ordered the Phad Pad Pak, steamed vegetables, and Thai iced tea. I messed up when I ordered it EXTRA Spicy. I love spicy food and thought to myself how spicy could it be. Boy was I wrong. My throat and mouth was on fire! I wanted to cry. The Phad Pad was delicious but I definitely should not have ordered it EXTRA spicy. I could not finish eating it because of how spicy it was lol I had to keep taking breaks from it and it felt like torture. The steamed veggies and Thai tea were also very good. Definitely recommend this place but don't ever order EXTRA Spicy !!!“
“Truly excellent option to go queue up, make an efficient order from a broad set of selections, and enjoy the tastiest banh mi sandwich at the best price I've seem anywhere in the Bay Area. Sometimes the line is long and sometimes it isn't, but the staff work quickly and the sandwiches are really great. Pick some up for a picnic or just grab some to take home and you won't regret it. I like that there's good parking out back too so I can just get in and get out without extra hassles.“
“The vegetarian bahn mi sandwiches were quite good and very affordable — $8.95 as of writing this. We also got some smoothies were good. The curry tofu sandwich was our favorite of the vegetarian ones. The bbq pork was also goodOverall a very solid place to go and would go again if in the area“
“Did't realize that this place was pretty much only takeout. There was one table inside, but it seemed that an employee was sitting there, althought unclear why when we would have welcomed the seat. Also, it was a bit odd that for spicy noodles (pho), it was $2 extra. Seems a bit steep. Prices are okay, but a bit on the higher side for amount of food you'll get. I do think it is good to support small businesses in Oakland and for that, I would come again. No photos yet, since it was takout and those don't look as nice to do photos of.“
“I was getting over a cold and needed some chicken soup. This hit the spot 10000%. Their ginger scallion sauce is amazing. I prefer to get the boneless chicken and the regular size is plenty for a typical appetite. Cash only! Street parking can be a little tricky at times, but I've always found a spot within 5-10 min.“
“For the regular person, any pho might but do, but for the connoisseur this place is for you. What you will find here:Bone broth made from scratch, meticulous attention to detail and high quality ingredients. What you find at other people's spot: too much MSG which let you know that they rushed on their broth and did not take time to do it right.“
“This spot was a place I went to every morning with my dad when I was in elementary school and it was so nostalgic stepping back in here still seeing OG's hanging out there drinking Vietnamese coffee. Simon took this place and leveled up the food, which I had high expectations for. He is so hospitable and made great conversation with me. I'm inspired by his motivation and drive to constantly better himself and his business.I was finally in town and had time to stop by for the first time to buy banh mi for my mom. I got her the banh mi xiu mai and when she ate it, she told me it was good. MY MOM ALMOST NEVER LIKES ANYTHING!! I tried some and y'all!!! She was right! If you're reading this, TRY THE BANH MI XIU MAI TODAY! I can't wait to come back again soon! Good job Simon, I'm so proud of you!“
“Low-key spot that seems to be a locals favorite. The pho wasn't overpriced like San Francisco. Ordered the basic pho dac biet (large). The broth was good, the meat was kinda dried, and the portion size was good. Wanted to order the iced coffee, but we saw they were premade in the fridge. Well it isn't the end of the world.. just something we would've wanted fresh.Think there's an extra fee for using a credit card. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere so hoping I didn't miss it.“
“There's only a few vegan options, but they're really good! We've been here several times for the tofu banh mi and the vegetarian noodle soup (which is vegan). Seemed like they perfected them on our most recent visit. Lots of veggies, mushrooms, and tofu in the soup. Order at the counter and they'll bring food to the table.Vegetarian options: There's only a few vegan options, but they're delicious.“
“I Loved this place when it was TuTai3 and it took me really long to finally try something from this new place. I was really hoping that it'd be another Vietnamese restaurant. I was driving by and decided to try the grilled chicken Banh mi as requested by my 7 year old. We Love vietnamese food and I usually judge a good noodle place by looking at their menu and seeing if they have all the meats, but this place is clearly a quick eats, to-go spot so a sandwich it was. I appreciated that the guy that took my order asked if I had any questions and then when I ordered he asked if I wanted everything on there including the Pate. I know some people might want to skip that. The bread was nice and soft and the chicken was hot off the grill! Only took about 5 minutes. Very healthy portion of chicken and they didn't skimp on the veggies either. It bugs me when they don't put enough veggies in there. Like what am I supposed to do with 3 shreds of carrots and a half sprig of cilantro!? My son said it was the best Bank Mi he's ever had so we're definitely going back!“
“Vien Huong is a well-known restaurant that I've been going to since I was a little kid. They're most known for their noodle soups, particularly the Chow Jew Noodle Soups which have a combo of chicken, pork, and shrimp products. Some people like to order with soup on the side and eat their noodles dry with their sauces.I also really like their Beef Stew Noodle Soup which is very flavorful and their beef and beef tendon is very tender.Last but not least are their fried fish cakes. This place is family-owned and cash only.“
“What a nice surprise to find a great pho spot. Don't be deterred by the surroundings as the food here is not to miss. The portions are very generous and the flavors are spot on. If you are a fan of lemon grass, get the #12. The "Standard Pho" #10 is your typical pho. What's makes it unique is you get to pick your style of noodles. I definitely will be back to try more of the menu. Service is prompt and there are plenty of seating. The place is also very clean.“
“Been coming here with my parents and now sharing it with my daughters. Food never disappoints and the service is always great. Can’t just recommend one dish cuz they have something for everyone dietary needs vegetarian seafood and all the other meats.“
“Finally I found a good authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Northern Bay area ( except San Jose). The food is so authentic and is not influenced by Chinese-Vietnamese style like other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The restaurant was nice and clean. The only thing needs to be improved is the service. It was not busy on Wednesday night, but the server stayed at the counter most of the time and didn’t fill up our water unless we asked or tried to get his attention.“
“This restaurant is incredible. Everyone walks in like it's just a normal Thai restaurant... The food is superb and out of this world. The flavors in each of the dishes we tried were unique, layered and sophisticated.A true delight just like the staff and servers.Delicious cocktails and good wine as well.“
“Long overdue review - so happy I got catering here for a party at home during the summer. Really delicious options that I haven't seen on other Vietnamese catering/party tray menus, like bahn khot (savory pancakes topped with shrimp) and bahn goi (fried meat-filled hand pies). Also got some classics like egg rolls and skewers, but the savory pancakes and fried pies were the big hit of the party. Tofu skewers were great but chicken skewers were dry. The customer service was amazing. I got a text within an hour of submitting my catering request, and they really worked with me to pick options that worked well for my budget and number of guests. Everyone LOVED the food. Can't say enough good things!“
“The bun rieu and pho are really good. This is the OG pho king compared to the one by lucky supermarket, and the broth here and ingredients here have a lot more flavor and better ingredients (eg spare ribs in the bun rieu). Super friendly owners too. Support them!“
“Broth was great. Noodles great and generous portions. But the add on ingredients where sad :( no mint- no cilantro, smelly sprouts.BUT free tea. They take Apple Pay.Parking: It’s Oakland, be careful and park close by.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: A lot of ample seating and easy entrance“
“Definitely worth visiting. The food is not "exceptionally great" but it is cheap and such a classic and special Vietnamese "to go" spot that you'll be happy you went and glad to support such a local establishment.I ordered the fried rice (perfectly executed, clean, and delicious)The chicken leg (good but far from great in its lack of lemongrass flavor which would have been amazing)Chow fun (hard pass... Greasy and far inferior to the fluffy fried rice unless you really have a hankering for some noodles to go with your main)“
“All time favorite pho place I come here so often whenever I get out of work or whenever I crave a nice bowl of pho. They have great customer service they are always super welcoming and nice each time I come here. I love their chicken wings !! 10/10 fav spot ever !! (Pho Tai is my fav) :)“
“Using the TooGoodToGo app i decided to give Bamboo Asia a try sometime late last year. Using this app is a cool way to try different restaurants in your area, but the catch is that the food is a surprise so what I got was unbeknownst to me until I arrived. The first time I came I got a curry of some sort. The second time I got a beef kind of dish. It was good and there was a large portion given both times. Anyway, there is a lot to choose from had I gone here any other time just to order. The interior is cute with plenty of seating. I imagine this being a popular spot amongst those working in the area.“
“The food is good, the service is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is cozy. With advance notice, they seated a group of eleven in the back and we had a wonderful time.Parking: Go right at the next block for more street parking. Circle back 2 blocks for parking structures if you can't find an on street spot.“
“I have several favorites here but you have to do the mushu wraps as an app! The food is always great! The only downside is that the timing for food to be ready can vary wildly (10-20 mins from the expected time) each time I go to pick up. But the food is always fresh and warm.“
