“This place is the best for Indian food. We recently moved to Paso Robles where there is no Indian food and I was so happy to stop by here on this trip up to the Bay Area. Food is delicious and there are items on the menu you don’t see on every Indian menu, so we tried some new dishes (paneer pasanda) and our tried and true favorites (aloo gobi) delivered as expected. I am surprised this place has only 4 stars, food is amazing every time.Vegetarian options: Great variety for vegetarians“
“An absolute favorite that I am sure to visit on every trip to the Bay. Very unique fusions of Indian and Californian flavors with something for every palate. My favorites are the sesame leaf, burrata kulcha, house salad and dry boat scallops. Also don’t sleep on the cocktails. Very nicely crafted.“
“Indulge in an exquisite journey of Indian Speciality cuisine at this remarkable restaurant, where seafood takes center stage unlike anywhere else in the Bay Area. Each dish is meticulously crafted with a symphony of aromatic spices, delivering unparalleled flavors that tantalize the senses. What truly sets this establishment apart is the genuine care and attention from the owners, who personally engage with every patron, eagerly gathering feedback and ensuring each diner's needs are met with utmost satisfaction. The selection of fish here is nothing short of exceptional, bursting with distinct flavors that redefine seafood dining experiences. If only I could award six stars, I would without hesitation. Here's to hoping this gem expands its footprint across the country, sharing its unparalleled cuisine with countless more food enthusiasts.“
“Great great great food!! Specially the Parathas, we tried vegetable and paneer paratha and it was delicious. Even kadhi kachori was super good. Dahi kabab was something different, never had so good in bay area before. The lady in the food truck is really sweet, she gave us complimentary cookies with chai. Good spot to have indian food and its not even costly.“
“Staffs are just lovely and the ambience is pleasant with light sounds of Nepali music in the background. The food hits all the right spots and often comes with complimentary sides! + ? for having outdoor sitting as I can’t travel without my pet. Can’t recommend enough to family, friends and colleagues!Vegetarian options: 90% of the menu is Veg!Dietary restrictions: There is vegan and halal options available!Parking: Parking is always availableKid-friendliness: So many happy kids!“
“Truly amazing food ! I tried their chicken fried rice, chicken 65 and rose lassi. It serves atleast 2 people. The quantity is huge. Food is super fresh. Flavors are bang on.I’m not spice tolerant so I’d asked for the medium , I will definitely go for the mild next time.Love the food !“
“The food is consistent and incredible. The staff is all friendly and helpful. You can almost always be seated immediately. Very delicious lunch specials. I love meat usually but the vegetarian options are fantastic. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in RWC.“
“I came here last summer and it was quite an interesting experience. We ordered and then sat outside. The paratha roll was great all around -- tender and flavorful spicy chicken in a buttery roll. I'd definitely get this again. The sizzling chicken dish had good flavor but the chicken was not as tender as I would've liked. The palak paneer was pretty meh. Not creamy and just spinachy. The garlic naan and mango lassi were good. Overall I had a good time here and would definitely get the paratha roll again.“
“Food was great!! My daughter loves the butter chicken as she says it melts in your mouth with the amazing flavor. The oyster mushroom was delicious with the great texture!! And my son enjoyed the butter naan. Service was wonderful as always and the atmosphere was welcoming and aesthetically pleasing.“
“I have been to this place only a handful of times. Each time the food quality and service never ceases to amaze me. The food is spectacularly delicious. The service is quick. Don' t let that deter you in thinking the food quality must lack. On the contrary, they use fresh ingredients and the fact that they are so busy they food turn over is great. you know you are getting fresh cooked food. Hands down the best pakistani/indian restaurant in the bay area. I recommend the halwa puri thali on the weekends and the spinach gosht on the weekdays with garlic naan.“
“Second time eating here. Always a delicious meal. The garlic naan is so flavorful! Our server recommended the goat curry (I’m usually a lamb curry fan) and it was one of the best. Definitely come back. No pictures as we devoured the meal! Next time!!“
“Amazing food! Ordered pani puri and Afghani soya chaap. The pani puri has three waters and the spicy water was the best. Careful, if your spice tolerance is low, coz this was Indian spicy. The Afghani chaap was yummy and exactly how we get in India. Super yummy food, keep it up!Vegetarian options: Soya chaap is really yummy and a great vegetarian option!“
“Visited this place recently when I was on a trip to California. They have a decent ambience but their restrooms were not good. We went there as a family for an evening tiffin and ordered standard south Indian tiffins. Loved their poori and aloo sabzi. All their chutneys were great. The vada was not up to the standard. But in general, it was good food. The service was quick and the staffs were helpful.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gf options availableParking: Outside the restaurant“
“Nestled in the bustling streets of Sunnyvale, California, This Biryani place offers a culinary journey that tantalizes the taste buds with the rich flavors of authentic Indian biryani. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that every diner feels welcomed. Service is prompt, and the waiters are knowledgeable about the menu, ready to offer recommendations tailored to your palate. The star of the show is, undoubtedly, the biryani. Each grain of rice is perfectly cooked, infused with exotic spices, and layered with tender, marinated meat. The Chicken Dum Biryani is a must-try, with its succulent pieces of chicken hidden beneath a fragrant mound of saffron-tinted rice. Vegetarians aren’t left behind, with options like the Vegetable Biryani that’s brimming with fresh veggies and paneer.“
“I have been going to this restaurant every week for almost 6 months now and it has always been a delightful experience.Their staff is really nice and polite and the atmosphere is very cozy. While their menu is very diverse, the dish that I have liked the most here is their thali. It is simple, home cooked, soulful food served in brass plates and it brings so much joy every time I eat it ! I highly recommend it !“
“Hey SF Bay Area folks. This is a great find through serendipity. Diagonally from the Falafel Stop in Sunnyvale, we came across a very good permanent food truck. We were leaving our uncles place and at 9pm were hungry. While getting gas we saw Maya Kitchen with authentic Bombay / Mumbai street (chaat) food. My wife being the Pakka (true blood) Mumbaikar / Bombayite challenged the vendors. Well the food was spot on 100% excellent. The two founders started this two months ago, Harsh and Paul. Their day jobs are an executive chef at Google and regional GM at Hilton and are from Mumbai. They studied at the University of Bombay (KC). The bhel was amazingly spot on and right amount of peanuts, ragas patties was amazing. Lastly the pav Bhaji is straight from fresh tomatoes - no cans. We met a couple there and they were from Mumbai and they've have been here twice. Also if you are truly from there you can ask about some local favorites - not on menu. The food truck has permanent tables and seats as well. Mention we sent you there! If we are in the neighborhood we'll go there again. Move over Falafel stop. All others if you want to know what Bombay chaat food is just go here. And the Indian tea is spot on with zero sugar. Good Indian chai never needs sugar.....“
“Friendly staff and good selection of food items. Bottles of water were ready on each table. Server was helpful with menu questions and gave recommendations. Food was good and tasty (aside from the one that was way too spicy)Cons: space looked somewhat unorganized. It took a long time and two reminders for an additional item.Even though it was noted for our food to be “very very mild” it was very spicy that I took it home, soaked it in water and washed the sauce totally off but it was still spicy!Kid-friendliness: Not at all, even mild spicy is way too spicy for kids“
“I went to Asian Momo House while I was insanely hungry, and it did not disappoint. I got the chicken jhol momos, and man it was good it was really fresh. The chicken was tender and seasoned and hot. I also got the chicken sausage which was also good. However it was just a Hot Dog and I expected something more. I also got a mint lemonade as a drink. While there was barely any min in the lemonade they made up with this seasoning called Chaat masala which is really refreshing and tasty. Overall would not come again, but I do recommend to others.“
“We went here on Easter Sunday for dinner. The place was clean and they have so many pizza options! We tried the Achari chicken pizza and it was absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary Easter special chocolate chip cookie-pie which was so delicious. Really good service and we’ll definitely be going again.“
“Very good taste. Tried Malai Kofta, Saag, Chana masala with Onion Kulcha, Rice and Garlic naan. Too good. Chana masala was less salty which you can pour on the top but wonderfully cooked. How can I forget complementary Bhajis. Thanks a lot.Yummy!“
“My partner and I stopped by for lunch and were impressed! The restaurant's prices are worth the quality of food and service. The appetizers were fresh and served with flavorful chutneys. The curries were generously sized and tasted rich and delicious. The garlic naan was tasty if a bit fried. And the entire lunch special is only $20 on weekdays!Vegetarian options: The weekday lunch special has a few vegetarian curries“
“The Indian flavor Pizzas are really good. We have ordered a bunch of variety over time and all the pizzas have been super tasty. My favorite is Achari Gobi and panner/chicken Tikka. really like their spicy curry pizza too. We have also ordered a bunch of Pizzas both Indian flavors and regular ones like Chicken and bacon on white sauce, Meat lovers for my office team lunches. Everyone liked it a lot(Mix of all nationals), and it has become our go-to place for ordering lunch for team events. It is good that they have Vegan and Gluten-free options too to accommodate people with different dietary requirements.“
“Came at lunchtime with my mom and had a wonderful time. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the lunch buffet is a really good deal with all you can eat, fresh naan, and hot chai.My mom loved the goat curry and i liked the butter chicken. Will definitely come again!!“
“I usually order spicy pav bhaji here. Its tastes really good and the chai here is a must try. There’s a transaction fee (1$ i think?) added if you swipe the card for <10$. Better to carry cash if you’re going just for the chai, which i usually do :)“
“Food - Good north Indian cuisine to satisfy those cravings. Paneer tikka masala & makhani dal, both tasted good. Not any floating oil in either of them. I am sure it had some cream for creamyness. Bread basket had pesto naan, garlic & plain naan. They don't offer substitutions for basket. All were crispy, soft. Curry also accompanied with white rice. Cauliflower manchurian was too saucy and nothing great about it. Service- Service was good. Ambiance- its a big space restaurant in saratoga DT. Ambiance was decent. I would not recommend for a date. + Points 1.Good space. Not too cramped 2. Good food“
“TLDR Butter Chicken Pizza! I have a confession to make... I LOVE Indian Pizza. I love Indian food (improbably, since I don't like spicy!) and I love Pizza! So to me, it's a match made in heaven! First time, I had this perfect mashup was about 15 years ago in Los Gatos, near my old workplace. Since that place closed, I haven't had a decent one since, and I've looked! I found this place on Yelp, and thought it would be the perfect place to meet my old co-workers for lunch. I was a bit wrong. The first sign of trouble is, you don't actually see the sign for this place. It's called Fast Pizza, instead. Second problem is the word... Fast. As in, this place seems to be primarily meant for take-out (like Pizza Hut is nowadays). There were only 2 small tables in the place, with chairs that were a size too high. This is not a good first impression. We managed to take the high table, that only had 2 high chairs for the 3 of us. Awkward! But the pizza was worth it! I'm super glad the guy taking the order asked us if we like Cilantro on it. NO! I hate that herb, and I'm super glad the guy asked us about it. The butter chicken wasn't that spicy, which was right up my alley. The chicken itself was baked very well... juicy and not dry at all. And the sauce was simply delicious. Much better than any marinara sauce. I think if I lived close by, I would gladly come to this place. I really like the pizza, it was flavorful, chicken was juicy and the dough was fluffy. Unfortunately it's a bit too far for take-out. I guess my search for the perfect Indian Pizza place continues!“
“Went on Monday evening, it was full packed. We had to wait for 15-20 mins. Worth of wait time. Food quality and taste is good. Even its Nepali restaurant I felt Indian taste. We ate kothey momos, veg chowmen and. Panner chilly. All were delicious, especially kothey momos. You must also try masala tea, it was fantastic. Service was okay as it was busy. They charge 3% for credit card payments.“
“Love the idlis and dosas here. The chutneys and sambhar are very good too. They do get a bit stingy with their sambhar-like even if you order 4 items, they give you same amount. They even told us once that dosa does not come with sambhar:). Allsaid and done,a solid pickup joint.“
“While restaurants are really cutting down on service, this quiet little sit down place served us good food with real plates and utensils. We went on a Friday night and were the only dine in customers. We ordered a starter, a curry, some rice and naan. Food was tasty and reasonable priced, and service was good.“
“We ordered vegan pizzas with dietary restrictions a few months back and they were awesome . Asked the chef to customize on phone for deliveryVegetarian options: We ordered vegan ( no onion garlic ) pizza and it was awesomeDietary restrictions: We ordered vegan ( no onion garlic mushroom ) pizza and it was awesome“
“Stopped by for quick bite and this place turned out to be amazing. I tried dabeli which was as authentic as you can get outside India and anjeer milkshake tasted amazing with right amount of sweetness.Owner is super friendly and he shared that they customize their bread and it has no preservatives added to it.Place is well maintained and very clean. I will be going back to try out vada pav and panini sandwiches“
“Food here was excellent. The only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that there is no indoor space or seating. But still worth it. I believe the other locations might have indoor seating, but I've never been and don't know.“
“It's a non-casual dining in terms of very well-thought food menu. They have a plenty of (unique in the South Bay) eggs specialities along with some tasty vegetarian options. The Owner/Chef and staff members are friendly and welcoming. Service is good and turnaround time is less. I would highly recommend this place!“
“Delicious food , good ambience and great service! We really enjoyed everything that we tried so far ! Masala dosa , benne dosa, Medhu vada, coffee , sambar vada etc. Their sambar and variety of chutneys are pretty good too. Overall Great experience !Vegetarian options: It's a vegetarian place.“
“Came here with a large group of friends on a weekday night. We were able to be seated right away. The parking is ample, but most of the stores next door were closed by the time we arrived (around 7:30/8). We noticed there were other large parties in the restaurant, even one celebrating a birthday with their own cake! The service was quick. There's water already set out on the table for you, although it tasted a bit off. We got mango lassis and our own dishes. I got the spicy dosa. It's huge! I'm a fan of crepes, and eating this was so fun. The spice built up; I could still taste the flavors on my tongue and smell it on my fingers for a while after the meal. The mango lassi was sour, slightly sweet, creamy and mellowed the spice out. My friends got the chicken and lamb on sizzling plates and they smelled heavenly. They had great flavor as well, and came with onions and tomatoes. One of my friends got the chicken biryani and the portion felt like it could be 3 meals, or 2 at least. It was served TOWERING in a bowl so he wasn't sure how to approach it. I'd ask for a separate bowl on the side. The menu is extensive and has great prices. I'd definitely come back!“
“Great location, lots of space and outdoor seating. Fulfilling food - we had aloo paratha and chole bhature. The bhaturas were not oily. They were fluffy with spices and paneer.. nicely done! The paratha came with a blob of butter - and we couldn't have eaten all of it. Gurpal was a great, cordial host, prompt service!“
“Eaten at "Hidden Tap & Barrel" in Redwood City. To eat, I had the mango habanero wings and they were spicy and flavor was tasty, but the wings themselves were soggy and I don't like soggy wings (I like them fully cooked and crispy, especially with a wet sauce). So the way the wings were cooked made it hard to enjoy them, they were small too. I got the 10 piece and it definitely came with more than 10 pieces so I liked that. My partner got the meat lover's pizza and that was delicious. Overall solid spot. Dim lighting, music is loud, but it's a fun spot with great drinks. Next time I'll get the pizza.“
“Our go to spot every weekend from the time the place opened up! It's almost become a tradition. It is also toddler friendly, they have high chairs, and they always accommodate little requests we have for updating spice levels and other small things. The service is super friendly and so is the overall vibe! Our fav food items to order: ghee kara onion masala dosa, poori, parotta, idly-vada combo!“
“1st time being here, we really enjoyed the service and good atmosphere, coming to food buffet on weekend we have 16 main course dishes + fruits + drinks( lemonade + mango lassi), +$1 extra for panipuri. Chicken entrees are not at all good, enjoyed the mutton curry and mutton biryani. Paneer appetizer is nothing but deep fried, gobi Manchuria, methi paneer are good. They have option of garlic naan served to the table, which is very tasty and fluffy.Overall for food I would rate 3.5/5 and ambience and service 4.5/5“
“We tried varieties of dosa here, and rava dosa is really good. Podi dosas are not great, and could get better ones. Best part you ask ? Chaats. Masala Puri, Punugulu, Pani puri and irani chai are the best. Tip: ask to make masala puri spicy!“
“My Indian Pizza offers a unique twist on traditional pizza with its fusion of Indian flavors, cozy ambiance, and friendly service. The restaurant's ambiance is casual and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The staff at My Indian Pizza is welcoming and attentive, always ready to accommodate special requests and ensure a pleasant dining experience. One of the highlights of dining at My Indian Pizza is the pizza itself, which is a delicious blend of traditional pizza ingredients and Indian spices. The menu features a variety of creative pizzas, each topped with a unique combination of flavors. Standout pizzas include all veg pizzas In addition to pizza, My Indian Pizza also offers a selection of other Indian-inspired dishes, such as samosas and tandoori chicken, as well as a variety of drinks to complement your meal. Overall, my experience at My Indian Pizza was excellent. Whether you're a fan of pizza or Indian cuisine, My Indian Pizza is a must-visit destination that promises a flavorful and memorable dining experience.“
“Great little Indian restaurant on El camino real road. It is run by a family and you can see the warmth in the food they meticulously prepare. The taste is on point to what you'd expect from a North Indian restaurant even back in India, we had chole baturas & aloo tikki chat. You know the food is good when you eat it so fast and forget to take pictures :DThe seating is limited and not fancy at all but I grew up appreciating the small restaurants that give you great food and don't charge you fancy money for interior and decor.“
“Finally a place with tandoor. The chef is super welcoming. We had kebab wrap, paneer tikka, Chicken achari tikka. The paneer melted in the mouth. The food was 9/10, the -1 is because my pallet is as Delhi as it gets, +1 back is because comparing this to Delhi is unfair and am just so happy to have a place where i can smell of tandoor. Finally a north indian food place that has tikkas ?“
“Interesting paki/Indian food. I think they added a twist to some things with the burgers and the wraps. The kebab burger patty had some interesting spices. The dahi puri was good but I wish I didn't take it to go as it gets soggy quickly.Really cool concept tho and the good was tasty so I def recommend“
“We tried out this place for the first time because we heard the Apna Bazaar pani poori place was no longer available! It’s 5 pieces for 3.99 which is very fair and the paani flavours are all good with Pudina being my favourite. The filling is chole instead of aloo which is nice in the sense that it is slightly healthier :D. Chai was also really nice. On the sweeter side so might not be everyones cup of tea though. The food truck atmosphere is nice but the parking it is in gets very crowded and chaotic by the afternoon atleast on Saturdays.“
“This place is amazing. If at all found out during my pregnancy days, I would have been there daily to satisfy my dosa cravings. The consistency of all the sides is worth and for the first time in Bay Area restaurants I tasted the sambar and completed it fully. The size of the dosa is exactly like how you get in restaurants in South India. To be precise, people of coimbatore (Tamilnadu), the dosa and sides tastes exactly like “Shree Annaporana”Of all the restaurants I tried, this is my first review [too lazy to write reviews ;)] because I am obliged to do this review for those amazing and perfect dosas.“
“Ordered paneer grill sandwich with peri peri fries ?, kofta curry (was good but koftas are only veggies so could have been better with cheese and paneer filling), sarso saag makkee ki roti ?, chinese bhel ??(big no it felt very dry especially for take home), vadapav (okay not that great), ragda patice (it was good), papdi chaat??(worst chaat ever.Pros-good ambience-reasonably priced- feel fresh and good quality-monthly specials.- good timing as it stays open until 10pm- passport discountCons- menu options could get better.- dishes could be more flavorful. Overall Currently it’s average nothing I would repeatedly come back for.“
“Authentic taste with great experience. We ordered Mysore masala dosa , podi idli and Madras dosa. Crispy tasty and real podi chutney.Although sambhar is not spicy at all and it has more sweet taste. Sambhar didn't had drumsticks and masala as it is supposed to be authentically.Chutneys are definitely tasty. Also like their buttermilk specially the fresh fragrance and taste of curry leaves. We had take out yesterday and uttapam is great too.Even samosa were crunchy and imli chutney is damn tasty.“
“Good food. Chaotic environment.. folks standing in line at entrance, employees constantly callings names on speaker (reminds of railway station announcements- not in a good way), little conjusted place in weekends. Bhature was not good.. pure mehda based.. order Puri instead. All chaats are good. Wish they can improve there ordering and table service.“
“A simple ambience welcomes you to the place with good indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is facilitated with lots of heaters and the vibe of the cute little downtown in Los Altos just adds up to the experience. The skeptical me opened ti menu to be surprised to see an actual fusion Indian menu with lots of favorite ingredients. Gobi - we started with cauliflower in rice flour( it's gluten free) and it was sooo crispy. Reminded me of the gobi my mom does. The spicy mayo( eggless) was the perfect combination. Paneer pesto- I was curious. The taste was similar to any Indian green chutney. But the panneer was perfectly cooked and the sauces that came along are just amazing as they look. My partner had a nice wine and he really liked it. We ordered biryani which came in an open bowl, a little oily to my taste. It was flavourful and tasty though. Would've been a 4/5 if not for the full presentation and the oil. So, I would give it a 3.5/5 Apricot kofta - this was a miss for me. The gravy is rich and the kofta is well fried. But, the apricots and the taste from them was no where to be found. The butter naan that came as a side(you pay separately) had very little butter. Though it was cooked to perfection, a small spoon of butter would've made wonders. The staff is super helpful and the service was quick. Presentation is curated and appetising. Chocolate rasamalai - it was a familiar taste. But the chop ate balanced the overtly sweet rasmalai and I liked the combination. Tiramisu - this was a miss for us. Both of us did not like the tiramisu and the gulabjamun that came along. Overall, a good experience and perfect place for date nights!“
