“My friends and I loved our experience at Baar Baar. Unfortunately it was raining like crazy on the day we had reservations for but that didn't stop us. We arrived to a rather empty restaurant (probably due to the rain). Staff took care of us right away seating us and explaining the menu. We had heard that they're known for their cocktails so we each ordered a different one. All of them were really good and I can see why people say their cocktails are good. The bar is also really impressive if you just wanted to come for a drink. All the cocktails are named after famous Indian movies which was really cute. For the food, we opted into the prix fixe menu (all parties at your table must participate) but it was perfect because the menu had a lot of their most popular items that we would've wanted to order and try anyways. We did end up ordering 2 extra items - the lamp chops as well as the jalapeno cheese naan. It ended up being more than enough food but everything was so good and we were so happy to try it all. The puri puri amuse bouche was SO GOOD! The avocado bhel appetizer dish was also surprisingly good. The traditional butter chicken with the saffron rice was classic but delicious and I loved the seabass fish as well as the jalapeno cheese stuffed naan. I normally don't care for beans but I can see why the Black Dairy Dal is $15!! It was so flavorful and a must get. Both the dessert options (Gulab jamun cheesecake and Strawberry Cassata) were yummy too. Not too sweet for both.“

“This is real authentic food from India Delhi. The food is so delicious! This is the most delicious Indian food I've had in LA. The people who are running the place are real Indian people from Delhi. The amount is very generous and the price is very affordable. It's my new favorite spot. I highly recommend!!!“

“Was looking for a good Indian place in Los Angeles and came across Flavor of India. It had great reviews so we gave it a try. It is located in Hollywood right off of Sunset and Hayworth. Plenty of inside parking available with 2hour validation. We tried the lunch all you can eat for 24$ a person and were not disappointed. It was like a flavor sampler of many curries with rice, garlic naan and even a dosa. The flavors were great, amazing value, and we were more than satisfied. Highly recommend!“

“Wow! This is such an amazing and unique concept! I love the frankies selection from the menu. I tried Chicken Tikka Masala Frankie and Crispy Frisch Frankie and I’m satisfied! The frankies are made from naan which was freshly baked and the fish and chicken were nicely cooked and overall it was amazing! Reasonable pricing for the size of the food. Amazing service from the business and highly recommended to try if your looking for something new!“

“I love Indian and have had tons in my life. This is hands down the best place. Their flavor profile is sophisticated and layered, the food here is top quality and it's my favorite Indian restaurant ever. After having their tikka masala I can't be satisfied with any other. Their saag and curries are also excellent. The chicken they use is whatever so I always go for fish. The flavor here is truly magnificent, I come here whenever I'm in the area. Definitely a must go for everyone.“

You won't find another place in Los Angeles that serves biryani with such an authentic and flavorful taste. My suggestion would be to make the biryani spicier and add a bit more sauce for an even richer flavor.“

The food is well prepared and tastes like home cooked. The quantity they serve is a lot. It’s a small cozy eatery with a grocery store that carries most bengali food items. The variety of fish is amazing. A must visit for folks looking for authentic Bengali cuisine.“

When the food wasn’t picked up the restaurant went out of the way to track me down and reimburse the charge. This is a restaurant worth your businesses. When I typed the name in, Google maps took me to the one on Westwood, so make sure you’re putting in the right address if you’re intending to go here. Very limited street parking. Credit cards accepted. They do take reservations but when we went on a Thursday evening at 8pm, it wasn’t necessary. Masks required and they do check proof of vaccination, although they wanted a picture of the card and didn’t accept my digital CA QR code. Food is family style; the tandoori mix grill was a good way to get a variety of meats/seafood. The butter chicken was tasty. The peas pulao was a good complement to that sauce, though I preferred the garlic naan. They do serve alcohol. It’s good for big groups and they had a TV playing music videos inside. They were open fairly late on a weeknight, so it’s a good spot to get some food if you’re in the Brentwood area and get hungry, but don’t have a reservation anywhere.“

“Authentic Indian flavours we tried lunch plate and 4 dishes between the 2 of us, all tasted good: saag paneer, chicken and lamb curry and dhal. All extra green and red chili sauces were tangy and fresh. The only minor point was rice was not basmati but it’s nice they offered a brown rice option. Highly recommend for a quick tasty lunch

“Yellow Dal, Chana, aloo saag, tikka masala, veg jalfrezzi, veg korma, eggplant curry, vindaloo, naan, roti — have ordered all these and more many times in last few years and it’s always good. Great Indian food, vegan and in general.

Anything over mild spice is too spicy and we like spicy, so I wouldn’t recommend going over medium at most.“

“Owner was courteous and helpful. Order to go lunch before opening but he took and prepared all fresh and food was tasty and great quality. I order dal fry, rice and potato sabji with green onion. It was mouth watering and in sufficient qty and price is too reasonable in LA city. Just that ambience and seating facility is not that great and to go or delivery is recommended as it's small restaurant.“

“Great Restaurant! I tried the Green Coconut Vegetable Curry and the Onion Bhanu and they were amazing. I would taste the coconut flavor in the curry and the bhaji was very fresh which made it a great appetizer. To add on, they serve Vegan Mango Lassi which was amazing and fresh! Everything is 100% Vegan, no problem! The business is week maintained and cares about the customers! The menu is very unique and look forward to trying something new! Definitely recommended!“
