“Friendly, affordable and great ambiance. Easily the liveliest place around on a weekend night, and the pizza we had was tasty and well above our expectations as travelers. Nicely sprawling outdoor scene with live music (when we were there) behind the little building where they take your orders. Shout out to the hard working staff who got us our pies- with smiles - in next to no time despite beginning to run out of pizza!“

Fresh and quality ingredient and unconventional plating more than made up for the initial expectation of the usual pub grub found elsewhere. The steak burger was enormous. “Enjoyed a late lunch here on our drive back from Lake Tahoe to the Bay Area. Didn't get to try their Lobster Bisque since they were out (Friday ~2pm), but our daughter loved their clam chowder. The Baked Brie was so delicious - served with warm bread, dried fruit, grilled onions and truffles. It was gone within a few minutes! For our mains, the crab cake sliders were fine, nothing spectacular. But their Salmon Salad was a hit! The salmon was cooked just right, not too dry, with a lightly sweet, refreshing dressing. I wish I could bottle up the dressing and take it home! We'll definitely be coming back when we're in town again.“

My friend ordered a couple orders of nigiri and the slices of fish were the thickest cuts I've experienced throughout the tri-county area. Only my regular go-to sushi spot can compete with this little hidden treasure sushi restaurant. I'll definitely be back in the future, each time I come back to Cameron Park. Food was truly exceptional, perfectly executed dishes, cooked and seasoned perfectly, not trying too hard, rather was high quality food served simply and it was clear the chef knows what they are doing. Service was equally excellent, and the ambience was great - nice outdoor seating and indoor ambience very pleasant as well. Highly recommend, and don't skip dessert. We got 4 different desserts, and each one was was stunningly good. My favorite was the chocolate cake with orange blossom whipped cream - cake was so light and fluffy, and the orange whipped cream set it off so nicely and delicately. “My wife and I tried this spot for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. They do a brisk take-out business; we ate in, in a quiet, comfortable booth. The service was quick and the server pleasant. Everything, chips, salsa, tortillas, sides and entres, was very freshly made and delicious. I had a chile verde plate and my wife had a 'Drew's Salad' topped with a nice blend of chorizo and asada. Prices were reasonable. The eggs are poached to treat you to a show of egg ooziness when pierced.On days they are short staffed, they tape a sign on the front door indicating that and apologizing for the possible longer service times. In any given day, you’ll probably see Claudia, the owner, working. She has a great friendly demeanor.Another thing to note is the bathroom situation. It’s located around the corner of the cafe. To access it, you’ll need to ask for the key. It’s kept clean.“

I was not in the mood to cook dinner and remembered this restaurant was nearby. The food was pretty good, Americanized Chinese style. They cook without MSG which I appreciate. I ordered the chicken fried rice and tangerine chicken. The fried rice was fantastic. The rice was light and fluffy with absolutely no oiliness. Very clean tasting. The pieces of chicken were cleanly cut pieces of light meat. The tangerine chicken was good. It was not overly sweet since they do not use HFCS sauces or MSG. The coating was not over floured and the chicken was moist. The menu has a hot chili pepper next to the tangerine chicken but you can ask for it to be cooked mild. Still yummy either way. The interior is a bit outdated but clean. The folks that work here are so darn kind. Another great thing about this place is the lunch ~$10.50 and dinner specials ~$13 are offered every day, not just on the weekdays.“
