“This is a very nice place to sit down and have a meal and/or a drink. I am 24 years old, but I went to the 2nd biggest party college in Ohio (LOL), and I am here on a 10 day business trip in the Bay Area, and I have to say Mr. Chad N. at the bar here at Grill & Vine, is by miles and miles the best bartender or server I have ever had the pleasure of having. A very kind and considerate individual, and all staff really, especially for such a busy environment. I was very pleased with my experience here.“

I had the souvlaki which came with soft pita and lots of tzatziki which I loved. The salad and fries were also a great side. “This was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was stylish: marble topped tables and gold chairs, with subdued lighting. The food was exquisite. I started with the roasted cauliflower, made with dates, mint, and harissa tahini sauce. I ordered it because it sounded exotic, and. . . I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! I will order this again! And I followed that with the Caprese pizza (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil). It was, in a word, delicious! The crust was marvelous: soft and slightly chewy. I shouldn’t be surprised. The Turks have the best bread. I will definitely be back, but also want to try the sister restaurant, Mykonos.“

The the creamy soup was quite nice, the perfectly fried oyster was great, and the star of the show - the Uni crème brûlée. It was both very tasty and well plated. While the steak and fish entrees were decent, they weren't quite as impressive as the earlier courses. Thankfully, the desserts brought the meal to a satisfying close. Overall, 3rd Cousin is a great choice for a nice dinner out, would recommend.“

“Please try this restaurant. I was visiting SF with my husband while he took the State BAR, and after a long, taxing day of testing, we found Gentilly and it breathed life back into him. We ordered the Cajun pasta and the dish with the pulled pork, ribs, and mac. Outstanding food. Ribs slipped off the bone. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic craft sodas, plus lots of awesome cocktails...which I ordered the second night because we HAD to go back! The first night we ate in the back room and another table was doing a murder mystery which was really cool. We ate in the lounge on the second night and chatted with our server, Jessica - - super cool human being, so kind and engaging! Someone came in and the bartender new him by name, asked if he wanted his favorite thing, and put his program on the TV. It was so wholesome and made it feel homey. I genuinely want to visit this area of SF just to go back to Gentilly! This restaurant is obviously a passion project and I'm so happy places like this exist. My only complaint is that it's so far away from where I live! Then again if I lived close to Gentilly I'd probably gain a lot of weight, especially since they serve a brownie with ice cream and salted caramel. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn't try it!“

Roadtrip Bowls Made by Lazy Dog American •
2208 Bridgepointe Pkwy Building C6, San Mateo - 6.28 miles

“Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.“

We made sure the chicken sandwich we did not order was taken off the bill. Our appetizer never came. We made sure it was not in the bill. Ambiance was good. We like the HMB Brewery, have been there many times over the years and plan to be back. Food is fresh, well prepared, and well presented. We hope the server at our table gets better over the weeks to come. The four stars given for the server missing his mark over the appetizer and the sandwich we did not order. Staff and the owner are very kind and get your order out quick. They make one of the best London Fogs in the city (called Pacifica Fog on their menu). Most baristas will go the easy route of brewing the tea in half a cup of hot water and pour milk for the remainder; not Cafe Pacifica! They make it the correct way by steaming your choice of milk and allowing the tea to brew in it. Not to mention, their bagels are amazing and made how you would at home - fully indulgent with lots of cream cheese.“

But, I am glad that it all worked out.Visiting Belmont, we decided to choose this restaurant. I loved that they had hot dogs, sausages, and hamburgers. I am not vegetarian, but there were quite a few options for those who are not meat eaters. As we entered, I heard talking, laughter and the football game. The person who took our order shared with me his suggestions and I went for them. I had the chili cheese tots and the Holy Aoli burger. Didn't realize that all burgers are sliders. My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

“Would have never guessed this place was here and I’m glad I know now. Doesn’t give your typical vibe of a pizza spot either, but they live up to the mystery. Service is quick, pizza is good, cocktail selection has good options and don’t skip out on dessert.Carne Pizza: topped with all the meats and very good. Added a side of ranch dressing but wasn’t necessary. Very good ranch thoughBanana Cream Pie: one of the best I’ve ever had.Parking: Parking lot on the side with plenty of spacesWheelchair accessibility: Accessible and Welcomed“

“We went to Saltyard for birthday celebrations. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were happy with our appetizer selections of Brussels sprouts, kale and quinoa salad, fried calamari and truffle fries. Since there were 9 of us, we ordered two of each to share. Most of our entrees were delicious: seafood risotto, whole branzino, and ribeye steak. Disappointed in the chicken: wasn't to our expectations because looks like recipe changed and it didn't look like a half chicken as it was cut up and looked more like chicken tenders. Enjoyed blood orange drop Cocktails and they have an impressive wine selection.“
