“I was very excited to find Gherkins Sandwich shop while on a week long trip to HMB. As a vegetarian we usually get stuck with the same repetitive sandwich options when going to delis, but I was ecstatic to see that most of their sandwich options could be made vegetarian by substituting the default protein with tofu.I got a number 19 - Cal Fire with tofu which had honey mustard sauce, avocado and cheese (I switched the pepper jack for swiss). My husband got a #20 - The Sheriff with tofu, which had a Frank's Red Hot sauce. I loved the whole gherkins on the sandwiches! The biggest drawback for us is that the sandwiches were very messy to eat. The tofu ended up being cubed, so the sandwiches started falling apart instantly. I think it would probably be better if the tofu was cut into slabs if possible. I also think some extra seasoning on the tofu would be great. The sauces on our sandwiches were also a little runny, which kind of added to the messy-ness.We had gotten chips but didn't end up eating them because we were so full after the sandwiches. Overall a good option for lunch, but I would have preferred if the sandwiches were a little easier to eat.“

“We recently visted Half Moon Bay and were drawn to the delicious baklava in the window. Little did we know, this gem of a restaurant not only has fabulous food (definitely try their falafel and lentil soup and baklava) but incredibly gracious and welcoming service. They made us feel like we were entering their home. What a special place! The next time we visit HMB, we will be sure to have ay least one meal here and say hello to our new friends.“

“Pasta Moon continues to deliver exceptional menu items utilizing local produce and proteins and creating seasonal specialties. We enjoyed local asparagus and spring onion fritti, beef bone marrow angliotti and pear and prosciutto pizza and they all were on point. We shared their massive lasagna(still to date the best lasagna I've ever had) and the papperdelle pasta with mascarpone, pine nut and pancetta in a tomato sauce. Incredible. When it comes to serving pasta, making it fresh as they do creates a perfect dish.“

“This place is FANTASTIC. I went here for the first time tonight, and was just blown away. I had high expectations because the reviews were already so good, and they met them and were even exceeded.First off, the inside of the restaurant is surprisingly spacious, as well as clean and orderly. They have different seating options depending on if it is shared or individual hot pots, but all of them are fine. The menu is extensive and straight forward. You select your options using a dry erase menu, and then they bring it out. In addition to the usual hot pot staples, they also have tasty appetizers and desserts like crab rangoons, beef short ribs, freshly fried Chinese donuts, ice cream, and fried dough with evaporated milk. And yes, as many other reviews mention, the biang biang noodles are EXCELLENT!The final thing I have to really sing the praise of is the service. The staff member we had waiting on us was SO kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Near the end of the meal, my mom wanted to sample things so she was requesting single items. Like just one single fish ball, and just two pieces of Chinese donut. The waitress did not even bat an eye at these requests, and she did indeed come back with a single fish ball, and sample size portions of the Chinese donut. It was going above and beyond! She also made sure to ask if we wanted ice cream since it isn’t on the menu and she wanted to be sure we knew they had it! I gave her a generous tip because she honestly made our night better with her cheery and helpful presence, and she even came back over and thanked us. No thanks was needed, we just wanted to thank her!All in all, Top Pot was a wonderful experience and I definitely plan to be back!“

“Found this little jewel by accident after seeing a Mexican restaurant and pulling into the parking lot.Cutest little place, playing 50s music. The name was confusing, but after seeing the menu, we took a chance. So glad we did!I had the Pad Kee Mao and my husband, the panang beef. Both were delicious! The owner, I believe, was a delight. Love positive attitudes. We'll certainly be back next time we visit Half Moon Bay!“

“Great little hole in the wall for Indian food in the south side of San Francisco.Pros: Great parking space, very favorable, lots of different options, able to walk after lunch in the outlet area, clean place and restaurant, rice was included was entrees, and chai tea was great.Con: only con was that both chicken entrees seemed small as we only eat out once per week for our "cheat meal" I was hoping for more chicken to hit my protein intake. However the taste was amazing.Parking: Huge parking space in the outlet which includes other businesses.“

“Great place to watch a game and grab a cheesesteak. Food is made to order and is delicious. I had a South Philly with sweet and spicy peppers. It was fire! I wasn't even that hungry and I was going to split half with my gf, but somehow ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely recommend going to this place if you want to get full at a great price. Plus the owners are dope! Tell them Jason sent you!“

“Delicious American fare at SFO. The burger was good, it had a real nice flavor to it and was cooked very well. The fries were tasty nothing fancy. The wings had a nice dry rub on them. They were crispy and pretty big in size. It’s definitely overpriced for what it is but it’s an airport ?♂️ The service was friendly but it wasn’t fast. At the end your woofing down your meal and chugging your beer. ?“

“When you arrive before opening and see a line that's usually a good sign, and it was no exception here. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We mainly got the hamburgers / special burgers and the herb salad. However, we'd love to try the other items on the menu as everything else had was tasty.“

“Was in Daly City for the day, stumbled upon this place and were glad we did. I ordered the Beef Shish Kebab with an order of garlic fries. The beef was outstanding, big chunks of meat cooked to perfection. Outside nice char with a perfect medium center. The garlic fries were the best I've had anywhere, and I love me some garlic fries. The service was exceptional, nice little spot with beautiful artwork on the walls. They even threw in some Turkish tea for us. 10/10 I will be back.“

“This was a great meal to start the day. With lots of options from breakfast to dinner this is a perfect place for any time of the day. I had the souvlaki which came with soft pita and lots of tzatziki which I loved. The salad and fries were also a great side. My boyfriend had the home run and he said the sandwich was good and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was great as well! We chose a table outside and it was a little dirty but they quickly noticed and wiped it down for us. Parking can be found on the street.“

“I've had carryout from Hangetsu before but have never eaten in before. That was a mistake. Eating in, especially in the VIP room, is to be experienced. The room aside, I really enjoyed my meal. I had the miso black cod, which is a favorite and was as good as the best I have had (at Morimoto Philadelphia). The nigiri sushi were all fresh and delicious. I had the mackerel and salmon belly, and my son shared his o toro with me. Finished off with some mochi ice cream. And a Sapporo. What's not to love. See you again next visit!“

“This review is for take out, but either way this place is GOOD! I want to actually eat here sometime but I had to write this because I enjoyed it so much. My friend and I got take out and placing the order online was super easy, but you do pay at the restaurant and there was no option for Apple Pay or to enter your CC number. I got a dinner bento box with gyoza and tonkatsu. The gyoza was good, fairly standard but good! I really enjoyed the Tonkatsu, it was breaded lightly to perfection and cooked really well. The prices seem fair and comparable to other spots in the area. The restaurant itself is small and they only have a few tables but that's okay! Everyone I interacted with was super sweet, I can't wait to go back!“

“Our new go-to for spring rolls and papaya salad!!! **Our favorites: Shrimp papaya salad Shrimp spring roll I appreciate how their shrimp spring rolls have slices of pork and crunchy thick cucumbers. The peanut sauce is also perfectly thick and not runny. I dislike when the peanut sauce is too runny or too thick. The papaya salad is SO refreshing and the shrimp was C L E A N and sliced perfectly. Such a cute store name and the staff are very friendly and sweet. Parking is very very limited as there are stores next door within the tiny plaza.“

“I am from SoCal, so I tend to compare it to my local restaurants. With that said, it is definitely good but definitely not 45 mins to 1 hr wait for the food. I can get the same @ Pepe in SoCal in 10 mins or less. That would be my only complaint. The food is definitely delicious. If you are in a hurry, you will be disappointed with the long wait. Their asada was really good.Basically no parking except street parking and that was limited.“

“Excellent place to go for a beer and eat something light. In addition to the view that the atmosphere has is relaxed. The only thing to prepare for the order takes a little time to leave because the place is a bit crowded but the food is the same as in any other Taco bell. They have a variety of drinks.“

“We ordered Panuchos, Pork Adobo. This spot is one of two Mayan/Yucatan restaurants run by Merida immigrants in Bay area as far as i know. Panuchos is incredibly delicious. You can see very thin layer of black beans between two deep-fried tortillas. And deep fried, the shell is so crispy, and then you’ve got that thin layer of salty, nutty black beans on the inside. Pickled onion, house made habanero salsa complement the flavors. The main ingredients used in Pork Adobo, Cochinita pibil must be Achiote. It has a slight peppery and lemony taste to it. It was a truly incredible experience to learn, eat traditional Mayan food!“

“Super nice staff. The food wasn’t particularly outstanding (the pasta was pretty bland and a bit overcooked), though it did come out quickly. The atmosphere is very red sauce Italian—if you’re into that, you’ll like this place. I personally found the atmosphere a bit much, but I can see what they were going for and how others might like that.“

“Glad we walked all the way to the end of the terminal to try Mama Go's Filipino Cuisine because it was delicious. They had a line but it moved relatively quick and we weren't in a rush. Service is so kind and generous. It gave off a homey vibe and they had some authentic class Filipino dishes which is a plus. Price was on the higher side but it is the airport. The garlic rice was fantastic and went well with the chicken adobo. The entree also came with a side dish, which is a great selection.“

“Very unassuming spot in Daly City. Service was a pleasure and felt very nice to stop by. We ordered the tea leaf salad and pumpkin curry with coconut rice all which were very tasty! It may not pack a punch with flavors but still enjoyed the subtlety of the dishes.“

“A solid four. The only minus star is something with which others might disagree -- the piano. It encourages narcissistic displays of very loud playing, which drown out people trying to talk or write or read or whatever. Truly annoying. But that said, the service is great and the iced latte yummy. And what's nice is that they have for-here straws. Good touch.“

“This was a cozy spot to have lunch outside with my family. We ordered a few lunch items and snacks to bring home. I ordered the lunch special of the day, which was a beef stew. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it out, but they gladly replaced it with the steak grilled with onions, which was delicious! The service was great and the lady at the cashier was very happy and patient with us! I would definitely come here again to buy more pao de queijo and try something new.“

“Food was excellent. Service was good but not great. Our server was not totally with it. He kept calling for a chicken sandwich when I clearly ordered a chicken salad. The salad was great. We made sure the chicken sandwich we did not order was taken off the bill. Our appetizer never came. We made sure it was not in the bill. Ambiance was good. We like the HMB Brewery, have been there many times over the years and plan to be back. Food is fresh, well prepared, and well presented. We hope the server at our table gets better over the weeks to come. The four stars given for the server missing his mark over the appetizer and the sandwich we did not order. Otherwise it would have been five stars.“

“I stop here whenever I drive down the 1, and sometimes we go to Pacifica just to go here and to walk on the beach next door. “Love the ocean views!! The best part of the restaurant is the booths that face the ocean :) Drinks were also really good - the fruity sunset drink was great and the lavender lemonade drink was also. The crab legs in the crab leg entree were AMAZING tasting! The veggie sides were only okay... The calamari app I would skip... wasnt too great. crab cakes were good but pricey .. but they had good flavor and good amounts of crab meat. “I had 15 min to spare before heading to my daughters school and drove by this place like I have hundreds of times over the years. After scoring parking out front and looking through the pictures of their foods I felt the urge of having some chicken chow mein. There was only one person, waiting for his to-go order, but I wasn't fazed because it's already way past lunchtime. The staff looked surprised but quickly welcomed me in. At this point I was ready to eat so when my plate a few min later I started grubbing, totally fotgetting to take some pics . I will say, this restaurant is called "Tasty Place" for a BIG reason. I've ordered from dozens of places in the area that were good, some even great, but the chow mein dish here stood out as to me was very delicious. Then I added some of their chili sauce (looks like they make it in-house which I believe I saw some bottled up for sale behind the desk), which elevated the flavors to a different level. The noodles were fresh and the chicken was cooked just right. Def going to add this place to our restaurant rotation!“

“The best sandwiches in South San Francisco: Little Lucca! This place is usually packed with a line out the door, but we decided to shoot our shot since it was raining and hoped there wouldn't be a line and luckily it wasn't that long! Everything is made to order in front of you and you can add what you'd like. They have a garlic and hot pepper sauce which are sooo good and a must get. They definitely don't skimp on the add ins and both our sandwiches came out packed and HUGE! We were able to save and eat the other half for dinner haha It's a really nice place to grab a sandwich and maybe head over to the beach or somewhere nice to enjoy. We ended up taking it home and decided to toast it a bit and it was perfection. Next time you're in South San Francisco and looking for a sandwich, come check out Little Lucca!
