“Located just a 15-minute walk from the Ahmanson Theatre, Maccheroni Republic is a wonderful find. The outdoor seating area is inviting, and the service is top-notch. We enjoyed the Burrata appetizer and indulged in two pasta dishes: Bianchi Neri and Pom'Amore, both of which were absolutely delicious. A perfect pre-show dining spot with great ambiance and even better food.“
“We always love visiting Propaganda and this time was no different. The 4 Formaggi & Funghi is my new favorite pizza. This time we tried the boozy pandoro dessert and even 5 days later I'm still thinking of it. Can't wait to go back!“
“My fiancé and I have put Mazal in our rotation of FAVORITE places. It's not just the food, but since it's yelp..... THE FOOD: I'm new to the vegetarian lifestyle, and started reluctantly under doctor's orders. Mazal has been a revelation! Tal and his staff prepare vegetarian dishes that taste amazing because they were always intended to be vegetarian! Fresh fennel salad, hearty beats with cumin, silky humus and baba ganoush. And mushrooms so perfectly grilled that they taste - dare I say - MEATY, like a mushroom should! So yes, the food is supurb. But that's not the reason we come back. Nor is it the reason we decided to celebrate our recent engagement with them. Mazal feels like a home. The decor is warm, the patio is beautiful and spacious, and Hanni, Tal, and the rest of the staff are kind and welcoming. So, I suggest you come for the food, stay for the people, and come back for both.“
“Such a cute little wine bar in the heart of DTLA! My friend and I decided to catch up over early dinner here. We ordered the coldbrew martini and the non-alcoholic prosecco. We also shared the caesar salad, meatballs, piquillo peppers, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious and tasty. We were pleased with everything we ordered. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Our service was efficient. There is no free parking available, but we paid to park in a lot nearby.“
“Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). Will definitely visit again on a Sunday ??Parking: Easy to access garage and the elevator close by. Very nice :)“
“Very cozy diner with great atmosphere. Love the food with seasonal ingredients and creative flair, all very delicious. Great for friends gathering and a big menu for a lot of choices with different price point. Will love to come back if i was in town again!“
“An outstanding evening - great food, excellent, informative & fun Server (Thanks, Maria!). Nice vibe. Cozy space. Counter is fun. AND - who would have ever imagined we'd try “Orange Wine” (don't be a chicken like me - it's actually a whole new experience) ?. Really nice.“
“Such a great spot. Cozy and fun with tons of interesting fish, meat & cheeses to try. But what stood out above everything else was how helpful and nice the staff was. Tin Tin picked some great dishes for us and was super friendly. We can't wait to come back!“
“As a Filipino, I love the different concepts they have with different Filipino dishes. We started off with the beef tartar and pork belly sisig. All I could say was w o w. Beef tartar was amazing and I've never had a garlic sky flake before. The flavors complimented perfectly. I'm not usually a pork person, but their sisig was cooked to perfection! So much flavor and had the perfect crisp. For our main dish we had the chicken inasal. The chicken was sooo tender and fell right off the bone! We also ordered each one of their sauces and I can't even pick out my favorite. They all had their own unique flavor. I'm already thinking about my next visit at this restaurant. The ambience, the service, and the food are all 10/10. Highly recommend!!“
“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“
“I made a Resy reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Street parking was accessible and convenient a few steps away from the location. Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. As I mentioned last night, the dinner was great but the service was even better! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner memorable :)“
“Great restaurant but couple things:1) the food, pastas in particular, are very heavy flavored, we went in large group and all of us had digestive upset that night.2) the server pushed us to order way too much. She had us order 12 dishes (not including bread) for our party of 6 adults and asserted it would be a light meal. We ordered at least three dishes too many. And we are not light eaters. We were not happy with her guidance.“
“Oriel is a modern wine bar/bistry that serves french food. The food is simple but tasty and the service is great. They have a pretty good sized wine list and a lot of food options as well. The atmosphere is great, with a cozy patio and interior. This is a lovely gem tucked in the quieter part of Chinatown and is a great spot to catch up with friends or for a date night. Tons of easy parking right in front of the restaurant and it’s located under the train line by the Chinatown metro station.“
“Our first time to this beautiful restaurant . We tried the tasting menu! WOW was it amazing. Loved learning about the wines. Had the featured drink of the week by Finn. loved it. It was garnished with a petite flower. My only regret is I got full and couldn't eat it all. Thank you to Matt our server for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. The lobster pie was so creamy and delicious. The steak was so flavorful and tender.“
“Serving some of the best seafood in Pasadena! Situated at the heart of beautiful Old Town Pasadena, Fishwives is a solid spot if you're looking for variety and a bit of a change from your usual American greasy food.Their ceviche is outstanding and so fresh; the fried oysters on devilled eggs were incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection - with the right amount of crunch; the lobster roll was scrumptious with chunks of lobster meat in every bite; and their fish and chips were outstanding - featured a great crispy batter paired with their excellent fries. Everything that we ordered was great plus service was spot-on!Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood in the Pasadena area.“
“Amazing food, ambiance, wine, and staff! Tucked away on Holly St., a few blocks over from Colorado. Old town local vibe. Super chill. I've been trying new restaurants in the area and decided to pop in early on a Fri nite. Got a seat at the counter overlooking the chef preparing all the meals. Ordered a rose, very tasty. Short ribs with mash potatoes. Amazing! I will definitely be back to try more things. Highly recommend. We really don't have anything like this in Pasadena.“
“First time visiting here. My family and I loved the atmosphere, the food, wine, and drinks. I definitely recommend this place. It transport you to a different environment. The area seems sketchy, but once you're inside, you forget about where this place is located. Exceptional customer service. Bernardo, my waiter was excellent.“
“I’m sure the food is great. Chef Antonia is five stars. Didn’t know any better ther way to tell her. She was robbed on TOC. You are an inspiration to everyone you come in contact with. Keep doing what you do and F the negativity. Stay safe and thank you. ❤️❤️❤️“
“Best and most authentic (I believe) Italian food I’ve had in a while! We followed all of the owner’s, Fabrizio’s (from Napoli), recommendations.Appetizer: started with the focaccia board, which included honey, caramelized pears, prosciutto, some other meat, and of course focaccia. It was the most unique appetizer I’ve had and so delicious!Main dish: we had salmone al limone, which had vegetables and mashed potatoes on the side. With the salmon cooked medium and the white wine sauce with lemon juice, it was all so delightful and quite possibly the best tasting salmon I have ever had.Pasta: we had genovese sauce (beef shoulder stewed with minced onions, basil, etc. stewed for 48 hours) with fresh pappardelle pasta. Very rich and delicious!Dessert: we finished with an affogato and was offered to try some dessert wine, Italian moscato with mint leaves on top. The espresso was so flavorful. On top of the food, service was great with Fabrizio, Claude the waiter, and a third waiter. All staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We chose sit outside because it was actually quieter and we wanted the fresh air. They were nice enough to ask if we wanted the heater turned on. Everything was perfect - food, staff, and ambience. We have found our new favorite local Italian restaurant!“
“How could I forget about this beautiful restaurant for months since my first visit with girl friends last September? I am so glad I suddenly remember this restaurant last Saturday, the first day of the Chinese new year! The interior decoration is perfect for Chinese new year! This is My family's first time visit! They all love it! Perfect for pictures! It is a shame for not many people knowing this place, because they are only two tables occupied during our 1.5 hour visit. The only waitress is Miss Iris from Taipei. She is super nice and friendly! Fortunately, when we left, there were two parties coming in! We love the food maybe because the owner and the chef are from my hometown Taiwan, according to the waitress! The presentation is so beautiful! Perfect for my Facebook postings! I already told my college girlfriends about our next reunion location! Here! Perfect for our group pictures!“
“Flavorful food and great cocktails in an Orleans-vibe atmosphere. I had the braised chicken with peanut sauce. It was super tender. Why can't I carmelize sweet potatoes that good? Husband had jalapeño flank steak. The angel biscuit was straight out of the oven. OMG.“
“French wine bar in DTLA - definitely a hidden gem tucked away in a mall (?) entrance but absolutely worth the visit. Well-curated wine list, almost exclusively French staff who will charm you away with their wittiness and hospitality. We specifically enjoyed the scallops with black truffle and the garlic bread (sorry but it’s too die for). Can also recommend the escargot if you enjoy the texture - the taste was on point. Would definitely recommend for a laid back dinner vibe with friends“
“The welcoming was excellent by the manager and the flexibility to change from outdoor to indoor seating. The food was great. The steak was perfectly cooked and the octopus was tender and savory. The green beans were the exception to the excellence. They were too spicy and it tasted oddly. Manager made it right for us. Thank you!“
“We've been wanting to try this new restaurant and finally came by. I will say you will not regret it. The food is fresh and delicious. Flavors are on point and service is great. Plenty of parking. Ambiance is great. We'll definitely be back to try new plates. Michelada was yummy.“
“Jose brings the vibe to the vine!!! Been a member here for 4+ years and can attest that the vibe is immaculate. Great music, great food, great energy. Always the highlight of my week. The service is spectacular. A must visit + great place for regulars.“
“One of my go to restaurants in Pasadena, highly recommended! Excellent service with incredible favors! Outstanding french dishes like Escargo, Confit de Canard, and Carré d'Agneau à la Fleur de Lavande. This is the restaurants I take people to when they visit me.“
“We've come here a few times and the food and drinks are generally pretty good. Decent ambiance and looks like it was originally a house that was converted into a restaurant. Making reservations can be a bit of a process. Rarely will someone pick up the phone, but there is a way to make reservations online through their website which does require a credit card deposit and for you to sign up with this reservations app. Some items on the menu are a bit overpriced as some other reviewers mentions, but we would definitely come back.“
“This has been always been one of my favorite bars in LA, but has gotten even better over the last few years with the new patio area. Great selection of beer, wine, kombucha, etc., solid bar food, and the staff is always helpful and willing to let you do a taste of something before ordering. Wanted to also chime in regarding H.R.'s one star review of the bar. We were outside that night as well, and her telling of events is hilariously untrue. She assaulted a patron, threatened a second patron, poured a beer on a third patron, and was finally asked to leave by staff. Her husband also threatened our table despite us not being a part of the kerfuffle she started with the people at the table next to us. It was definitely an eventful night, but the staff handled the situation well given how unruly she and her party were.“
“This is a small place, but a small place with so much heart. One of the highlights of my annual business trip to Pasadena. Great coffee, breakfast food, deli sandwiches, beer, wine, etc. I once got a Cordova breakfast burrito every day three days in a row and love every second of eating it. (This was last month) anyway, can’t go wrong!“
“I've been really into wine bars lately and decided to check out Mignon. The bar is so dark that I had to whip out my phone and used the flashlight to read the menu lol. Staff is super friendly and provided great recs! +Mixed and match of cheese and charcuterie 5/5: Our server recommended some soft cheeses and less salty meats, and everything tasted delicious! + NY steak 5/5: Wow, I didn't have much expectations of an $18 steak but it's one of the most well-seasoned steak I've ever had. It's so soft and juicy as well. I was so impressed. Apparently there's only a limited amount of steak! + Uni spaghetti 3/5: Unfortunately, the uni was kinda fishy otherwise it would've been tasty. Overall, I had a great time at Mignon and would come back again for HH!“
“I always wanted to try Omakase and was in LA for the day. I had the lunch special and it was unbelievable. I have been eating sushi since the early 90s and this was by far, the best I have ever had. I would highly recommend trying this place.“
“I love this place. I’m so happy it’s nearby. The wine selection is great and the service is excellent. You can taste a few options, there’s no judgement from the staff if you don’t like something, the food is always decent and sometimes delicious, it’s kind of dark, you can go and get a seat easily, and it’s comfortable. I really really recommend it.“
“Carousel Restaurant truly stands out as an exceptional dining spot in our city. Every visit here is like a celebration, filled with a sense of warmth and meticulous care woven into each dish. The menu is extraordinarily flavorful, offering a vast selection that invites you to explore new plates daily. The commitment to culinary excellence is evident, with each bite reflecting the love and effort put into the food. The desserts at Carousel are nothing short of miraculous. Each one is a slice of paradise, crafted to perfection, making it a must-try for anyone who dines here. The service is equally impressive, with staff members who are not only skilled but also incredibly passionate about their work. A special mention must go to Amen, whose bright personality and attentive service significantly enhance the dining experience. The chefs and service team at Carousel deserve immense praise for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s a place where every meal feels like a special occasion, thanks to the high quality of both the food and the people who serve it.Additionally, Carousel offers catering and organizes parties, handling each event with the same level of excellence and attention to detail found in their restaurant service. I highly recommend them for any occasion, confident that they will bring the same standard of perfection.Thank you to everyone at Carousel Restaurant for consistently making our dining experiences memorable. Your dedication to excellence makes this restaurant a cherished gem in our community.“
“So, I was not expecting to have a beer while perusing a nee bookstore this weekend, but lo and behold! I desperately needed to charge my dying phone, and couldn’t find an outlet anywhere in the book aisles. So I stumbled across The 1894, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Their happy hour is awesome- a french pilsner for only $6! And the staff went out of their way to accommodate me near an outlet where i can drink and charge my phone. Again, was not expecting this pleasant bar, but will def be back!“
“Exactly the kind of quirky, hip, establishment in the middle of an industrial area that could easily go viral. The wine is great, cheese pairings are awesome, and the atmosphere is casual. It is the opposite of Napa/Sonoma wine venues in a fun way. Service is very friendly and the location is perfect for small family or business get-togethers (there are even private party rooms). Not crowded and parking is free in private lot. Go before it is discovered by the media.“
“This is the bougie choice for Grand Central Market. It’s still very reasonably priced, but the best part is they have reserved seating, which in the weekends is a real plus. You can sit at their attractive round island and each pair of seats has privacy from their neighbors. You can people watch without being in the scrum itself. And who doesn’t love indulgent oysters or a poke bowl for the weekend?Hands down my favorite place.“
“Hip and modern cafeCome and check out their menuThey have both indoor and outdoor.Got Costa Rica pour over, purple Carmel latte (with Ube?), sea latte Carmel cappuccinoGreat drinksThe pour over is fragrant and delicious.Purple Carmel was delicious definitely recommend. They had live dj playing while we were here.Parking: Street parking recommended or neighborhood parking“
“Service was quick and helpful The bar was chill, full but easily got a table there was 6 of us so we had to yell over music a bit to communicate which isn't always funWe were mostly there for food which was great Def a saving grace when everything around there closes at 1030ish The birria quesadilla, chefs kissThe torta was a amazing as wellWould come back again after a night in the strip“
“A great spot for a good drink and some good company. They play a variety of music from hip-hop to rap, and cumbias. The crowd was so lively and fun but also casual and friendly. Impromptu dances with strangers were unexpected but so much fun. I can't speak on the drinks because this was my last stop for the night and I was sobering up with water. The bartenders were really sweet despite being busy and everyone being pretty drunk. There were people dancing on the bar, at the tables and on a small makeshift dance floor. All in all a really fun atmosphere in the heart of Boyle Heights just a few minutes from DTLA.“
“This is such a cute and quaint wine bar. It has a nice selection of various imported wines and food pairings.I really enjoy the orange Gewürztraminer each time I come here, I highly recommend if you like something refreshing and chilled. The inside is nice but I really love their patio in the back. The staff are also quite professional and friendly. We got the artisan bread with their homemade olive oil, and it was absolutely delicious and a great pairing with our wine. I will come again !“
“Only went for drinks the few times I've been there, so I can't rate the food. The drinks I've had have been very good. The bartenders have been very personable. I was talking with one (his name was Angel) about how I dislike Manhattan's. He made me one and I really liked it. I was very impressed.I was also there for a Makers Mark tasting. Oak & Vine has 2 Private Selections. Both are very good, but personally, the second one they made was the better of the two. If you like bourbon give them a try.“
“I haven’t been to their dinner/wine bar hours yet, but they have been my consistent “Friday Treat” spot for a couple of years. The lox on toast is my favorite but I also love their baguette sandwiches. The staff have always been friendly. Also, there’s always at least one good dog in the patio. It’s a little pricey- but that’s why it’s more of a treat spot for me.I DO wish they’d put prices on their wine bottles, I wanted to get one but I didn’t want to embarrass myself by walking it back if was out of my range.“
“Rykn Cafe in Los Angeles is an oasis of minimalist elegance that provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an ambiance that's both calming and inspiring, making it a perfect spot for both relaxation and productivity. The interior of Rykn Cafe is a masterpiece of minimalistic design. The stone tables exude a sense of earthy sophistication, while the botanical details add a touch of nature's beauty to the space. It's an environment that fosters a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal place to settle in for work or simply unwind with a cup of something delightful.Speaking of work, Rykn Cafe is a haven for those seeking a quiet space to be productive. The reliable wifi ensures that you can stay connected, and the serene surroundings create an environment conducive to focus and creativity. But let's talk about the culinary offerings that make Rykn Cafe truly shine. The curry meat pie is a delicious treat that tickles the taste buds with a perfect blend of savory and spices. The sunny hojicha, undoubtedly a must-try, is a testament to the café's commitment to quality and flavor. The combination of the café's elegant ambiance, tranquil setting, and delectable menu makes it a place that's not just about dining but about creating an experience. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the decor to the culinary creations, speaks volumes about the café's dedication to excellence.Whether you're seeking a quiet corner for productivity or simply looking to indulge in a flavorful escape, I can't recommend Rykn Cafe enough. It's a space where elegance and taste converge, creating a memorable experience that you'll want to return to time and time again.“
“A very happy discovery. After being a bit surprised at the minimum cost at another nearby restaurant, I kept walking. I was drawn to the gas flames of outdoor dining. I found Bacari GDL and was very pleased. The food was excellent. My Bacarita was spicy but refreshing with watermelon to counter the bite. My ceviche was the best I have had. My pork chop with caramelized onions was perfect after a long day. Hannah was a delight in her care of my dining experience. I hope to return to Glendale again to enjoy this gem.“
“One of our favorite steak restaurants to celebrate special occasions. Must go on Tuesdays for their tomahawk Tuesday meal deal. Service is always on point and great atmosphere at this location. Lobster Mac and cheese is highly recommended. Porterhouse and tomahawk steaks are amazing and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant to celebrate that special occasion.“
“I know this place is in a super sketch area & the place is definitely not impressive but hear me out... the beers are super cheap $5, people here are super friendly, and the music is so lively! It's definitely not a first date kinda place. It's more suitable for super relaxed people who are trying to avoid the crowds while still being able to have a good time. My fiancé and I randomly passed by and happened to hear music. Today, we had nothing to do so we decided to stop by. The Dj played a mix of cumbias, merengue, bachata, reggaetón & corridos he even allowed customers to karaoke. We had such a good time laughing and dancing the night away. +Brownie points for the clean restrooms! Cash only Closing time depends on the clientele“
“A small family owned Italian restaurant that serves great food. Our waitress was also great, very attentive and friendly. If your in Whittier, this should be one of your go to restaurants. If your in the area, stop on by, you wont be disappointed.“
“Visited Homage Brewing on a Thursday night.Ambience:I decided to head down over in order to get a feel for the type of environment Homage brewery presents and to try out the smashed burger. Since I’m seeking out different places to invite friends for nights out. As mentioned by other reviewers, yes this brewery is directed towards a hipster crowd. Homage Brewings interior is minimalistic and upon entering, the interior was lit with red lights complimented with a DJ bumping music. The employees were friendly and attentive, furthermore, food service was excellent. The cool thing about this place is that the exterior seating area serves as a place where one can hang out and relax, while downing a couple drinks. The interior (for weekends) serves as a platform to vibe with the music provided by the DJ.Food & Beverages:I was honestly surprised when I glanced over the beer menu, no flight option present. As a brewery, a flight option should be available, since it helps customers explore different products. I opted out, as I was driving ( and saving my appetite for when I return) but my partner had some wines which she enjoyed.I decided to order their smashed burger, which came with two Pattie’s, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, everything sauce, and potato buns. The burger was good, as it was fresh, a good sized portion, and flavorful. There’s a review out there complaining about the Crispy farm potatoes fish scent, let me explain that the fish scent comes from the Mullet borttaga, a type of roe. Therefore, that review is not credible. The crispy potatoes were crunchy, well seasoned, and soft in the interior. A small dip of the horseradish sauce will be suffice. The food was good and hoping to try out other menu items in the future, in addition to their beers.“
“My recent visit to The Cellar was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly bouncer who directed us to an elevator down the hall. Descending down felt like stepping into another world, and as the barrel-like door opened, we were warmly welcomed by the host. The atmosphere at The Cellar is simply enchanting. With the soft melodies of a piano in the background and the ambiance reminiscent of a cozy library, it's a place where time seems to stand still. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The wide selection of wines offered something for every palate, and we were delighted to find that we could choose from a variety of small plates and desserts to accompany our drinks. For those looking for a more intimate setting, the option to sit on the couches is available with the purchase of a bottle of wine or champagne, while tables offer the flexibility to enjoy wine by the glass.Overall, our experience at The Cellar was lovely. From the welcoming atmosphere to the excellent selection of wines and delectable small plates, it's a place I can't wait to return to. If you're looking for a memorable evening out, look no further than The Cellar.“
“P&J deli market has some of the best food in Montebello, you have to try!Just destroyed a breakfast burrito, the owner made the eggs "Mexicana style" with onions, tomatoes and jalapenos and it was amazing. He grated the hash browns as well, and this burrito was amazing. It was not greasy or salty, but full of fresh flavor!I've had a lot of breakfast burritos in my life, and this has to be one of the best I've ever had. The owner put a lot of hard work and attention to make such a masterpiece, you have to get one yourself!Check them out, you won't be disappointed!Dietary restrictions: Owner will customize your orders, they aim to pleaseWheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in from the parking lot“
