I found Bacari GDL and was very pleased. The food was excellent. My Bacarita was spicy but refreshing with watermelon to counter the bite. My ceviche was the best I have had. My pork chop with caramelized onions was perfect after a long day. Hannah was a delight in her care of my dining experience. I hope to return to Glendale again to enjoy this gem.“

Oak & Vine has 2 Private Selections. Both are very good, but personally, the second one they made was the better of the two. If you like bourbon give them a try.“

We ended up with the seafood pasta and Branzino with a shared amici salad starter and a crème brûlée dessert. My personal highlight was a Purple Haze cocktail. I felt the need to comment because though the service was earnest and they did make things right by comping one entree, so many mix-ups occurred. My first enter came out wrong and then I was told It was not detailed correctly on the menu. I finally got a second - albeit free- dinner after my dinner partner had finished their's. Our coffee order was also wrong and came way before our dessert despite being offered simultaneous service by your server. Like I said, I walked away happy. I just believe it could have gone another way...“

We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere.However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“

Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. I do not recommend this hotel for you to stay, even if it is renewed and renowned, the staff at the terrace restaurant is slow and not really willing to help you, the only one really nice is BRYAN if you go ask for him.The room quality is ok the drapes do not close so you'll sleep with a ray of light, the pillows are awful and they can't do anything to solve the problem. At the valet only if you ask twice they will assist you. They have a lot of things to work on in order to be truly five stars.
