“Quaint looking from the outside, welcoming on the inside. Large dining area, big enough for a reasonably sized party. Quite a few people seated (last I went), but the staff were tentative and prompt. Very courteous and helpful, they made us feel welcomed and at home. The all you can eat is reasonably priced per person, and the rules are simple: 3 rounds (couldn't do more than one) and up to 2 hours, you order it / you eat it. The rest of the menu is reasonably priced as well, with a good selection. Will be coming back here when I'm in the area!Vegetarian options: More vegetarian options than expected. Usually I expect two or three vegetarian sushi options available, but there were more, and not plain Jane options either!Parking: As this establishment is in, amongst other businesses, there is usually plenty of parking, handicapped or otherwise.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant, ease of access, large accessible restrooms, and tabletops for those who bring their own chairs!“
“This Ramen place offers excellent food quality and service. It is surprising to find such a delicious Ramen place in a mall food court. The employees are always courteous and cheerful. The place is busy at times, which indicates the popularity of their dishes. However, finding a seat can be difficult at times, especially on the weekends. My wife and I are regular customers, as she enjoys their ramen. We have tried their Spicy Sesame Ramen and their Creamy Chicken Ramen, and both were very satisfying.“
“Found this gem from instagram & decided to visit after a cold day at the beach. We tried the kitakata ramen & tan tan ramen - they both have a unique broth. I usually prefer creamy ones like the tan tan, but the broth for kitakata was also good. Got seated right away even though it was during dinner and food was served right away. Will definitely come back & try their karaage.“
“Had an amazing experience perfect ending to an amazing date. Atmosphere was nice listening to usher while eating tonkotsu and sipping plumb wine. This evening was made even more enjoyable thanks to excellent customer service of Johnny who answered all my 1 million questions with a smile.“
“I returned to this place after it changed the name and I love the food even moreIt’s good quality and fair pricing is why I come here more oftenThe chefs are great ! The service is ok once given the bill not a thank you or take your time ?Most of all the food is fresh that’s what matters and it was clean“
“Price to quality ratio is very much on point. Ramen was quite delicious and everything you would expect (plus a little more) from a working man's lunch; it was $12.95 for a large shio. The thing that delivered most for this bowl of goodness was the broth. The salt content was well balanced and provided just enough depth of flavor to satisfy all of your umami cravings. The noodles were delightfully springy, and the bamboo + mushrooms were well incorporated, even if they added more texture than taste. The roasted pork had good flavor, but was a bit too tough. The lowest point was the egg I added, which was hard boiled (blasphemy), and definitely made the dish worse…I left it unfinished.I cannot speak for the non-soup offerings, but in all it was worth my time. Any ramen lover would be satisfied.“
“Hidden jems are often found in unlikely places. The food is always very good. No complaints. As a semi regular patron, a request would be to expand the specialty rolls a bit. I want to try new flavor combinations. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit.“
“I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It’s the best ramen on the planet. Hands down. Delicious. The crispy chicken knocks your socks off as well as the pork buns. So. Damn. Delicious. Place is really small and seems like it’s always on a wait. Trendy little neighborhood in San Diego. It’s clean and service is good. Food comes promptly and HOT. They add the tip on the check automatically.Parking: Parking can be tricky. There is a paid parking lot across the street that’s pretty busy.Wheelchair accessibility: All on street level and a small place.“
“This was probably the best ramen I’ve had. 5 stars easily for the food. Atmosphere only gets 4 stars because I feel like there could be more comfortable chairs. Or even cushions on the wood benches. Overall great experience.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegan optionsDietary restrictions: GREAT vegan options“
“Really good ramen! I got the Shio and loved how simple but delicious the ingredients and flavors were. The noodles had a nice bite, definitely one of the best ramen noodles I have had. I do wish there were more toppings or meat in the ramen given its price though. The enoki mushrooms and hot tofu appetizer were also very delicious (also pricey). My friend got the dipping noodles which she says was great! The wait on a Wednesday night at 6:30 pm was long (30-40 minutes) but the service made it worth it, the waitress was so informative and helpful. I highly recommend this place! To note, the restaurant doesn't have a clear sign as far as I could see so it took awhile to find.“
“We're from out of town, and this is probably some of the best sushi I have ever had. We came back the next day. The atmosphere was pretty chill and has a Pokémon theme. My son and I about craped our pants when we walked into the bathroom, they have fake spiders and bugs coming out of the vent, down the wall. It was funny afterwards lol. The staff is great, friendly and the place it clean.“
“Chris provided an exceptional customer service experience. From the moment of interaction, it was evident that Chris prioritized understanding and meeting customer needs with a level of dedication and attentiveness that truly stood out. His approach was not just professional, but also genuinely caring, making the entire service experience feel personalized and highly valued. Chris's ability to efficiently resolve issues while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude sets a high standard for customer service.“
“Food was fast, ambience was comfortable and had variety for solo diners, private dates, and groups of friends, and the service was fantastic.I had a tab under Edris's name but I didn't catch the name of the woman who was actually helping me out. She was incredible. I wanted to stay longer just so she'd bother me a little more. Alas, you can’t leave your number on digital receipts. The woman that helped me to my table, too, was friendly and quick. Even one of the kitchen staff gave me a smile.I got the chicken ramen with some spinach noodles and it was perfect. A treat. Just what I needed.Thank you.“
“The empty bowl says it all. We loved this ramen restaurant because the flavors were rich and delicious. The wait was short if you come early and the service was great and attentive. We got the signature ramen and miso tonkatsu ramen. I love how you can choose your size at different price points. I also liked how they had chicken broth for ramen. The place itself was decorated like we were in Japan eating ramen.“
“It had been a while since I’d been cuz it was always too busy and we didn’t want to wait in line the night we wanted ramen. So, we were happy when we decided to try again on a weeknight and we got a table. The only bummer is the ramen was not nearly as good as it used to be. The shishito peppers were fantastic.“
“Super good ramen but be aware it's superrr busy during dinner time! They have a sign out saying there is a time limit when eating to ensure they are able to get people in and out.I got the nishiki ramen with egg which is just the classic tonkotsu ramen which is a more simple ramen but so delicious! The egg was cooked well and the pork was delicious - I wish it had a bit more flavoring. We also ordered some potstickers and they were tasty but the sauce was not what I was expecting. It was a thick bbq almost sauce. I'm use to the soy sauce kind of dipping sauce they give you so this was a surprise but it was yummy. We ordered it to go pick up on the website and it was ready on the dot of what the estimated time was.Was still hot after almost an hour from getting it but man it's always a fight to open those containers. Be careful when opening themVegetarian options: handful of vegan/vegetarian optionsParking: small lot that fills up quickly“
“Average ok. food.,plus expensive for a little Sushi place. Not planning to go there often., also has menu options incase don't care for Sushi ? etc., the chef at the bar conter is great helping you w/menu. I wish they a had combo specials at reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: not sure“
“We got the vegetable ramen. The star of the show is undoubtedly the broth. Unlike some vegetarian broths that can be thin and watery, this one boasts a depth of flavor that comes from hours of simmering vegetables, mushrooms, and perhaps even a hint of seaweed. The first sip is a warm hug, rich and savory with an underlying sweetness. It's a testament to the chef's skill in coaxing out the full potential of the vegetables. The only negatives were the overly loud rock music and the extremely wasteful gas flames outside, purportedly for warning guests, even though it was a nice warm afternoon.“
“Only thing, when you walk in it seems like a sewer pipe is burst so not a fun time breathing it in.Food was good though. Hopefully that smell issue is fixed soon. Don't worry, you'll start to not notice it after a few minutes but you'll know it's there “
“Enjoyed my meal. Salmon Miso was tasty, but the portion was small. I would skip the house salad in this restaurant. If you want a nice salad, I recommend the salad at the Greek restaurant. 1 minute walk by foot. This restaurants name is Harbor Greek Cafe.“
“Literally everything I have eaten is 10/10, the attention, the image of the place you literally feel like you are eating in Korea, I haven't eaten a taste of that style of authentic Korean food in years, and the beer uff very good the kass and a very good price ?? and the snow macaroni is another level, and I recommend that you order galbi de rib“
“I am in awe of the spicy ramen. Can’t eat it enough. I’ve never really enjoyed ramen but this place has made me a believer.Service has always been friendly and atmosphere is great for a quick dining experience.Parking can be tricky during peak dining times, lunch and dinner.“
“This place was such a surprise, I was afraid it was going to be one of those overhyped trendy spots. But it was delicious, the service was friendly and the food came out really fast! We had ordered a sake that they must have forgotten to bring out right away so they gave us an extra order of sake on the house which was way beyond what was needed. You order as you enter so don’t let the line scare you. The atmosphere inside is also a nice open space.“
“We enjoyed a delightful journey through two contrasting but equally delicious buns. First up was the chocolate-filled bun. This fluffy masterpiece was a cloud-like dream, its pillowy dough yielding to reveal a warm, rich center of melty chocolate. The sweetness wasn't overwhelming, striking a perfect balance that had me savoring every bite. The chicken-filled bun offered a delightful counterpoint. Unlike some overly greasy renditions, this one boasted a light and flaky dough that gave way to a savory, well-seasoned chicken filling. The flavors were complex and balanced, with hints of ginger and scallion dancing on the tongue. The contrasting flavors and textures made them a perfect duo, ideal for sharing or indulging in both! The staff was awesome and kind.“

The cozy yet bustling atmosphere and friendly service create the perfect setting for a satisfying meal with friends or family. Whether you're craving traditional ramen or adventurous appetizers, Tajima Ramen East Village promises a dining experience that's both comforting and memorable, transporting you to the bustling streets of Japan with every slurp.“
“Went for the very first time with my friend to try out their famous character buns. They tasted amazing. I forgot what each flavor of bun is consisted of but the menu is very quick and straight to the point on the detailed description on what you are ordering. What I do remember js the Unicorn ube. It tasted like a cinnamon churro! I have never had ube before so having that as my first experience of tasting ube was fantastic. I am craving more and will be heading back soon again.“
“Nice sushi place that I've never noticed before! This place is close to my house and my roommate said she really enjoyed it so we decided to stop here quick before Christmas shopping. The service was pretty quick and it wasn't too crowded on a Wednesday night. We put in our order quick of the gyoza and Katsu bowl and they were out to us in less than 5 minutes. Both were Very tasty and hot!Gyoza were nice and savory with the sauce being just salty enough but not too much. The chicken katsu was very good, well breaded, moist, and the sauce was very, very delicious. She asked for extra to pour over her bowl to get down to the rice too.I've gotten the smokey tonkotsu ramen bowl and it's alright. The soup base of it seems a little off from typical tonkotsu ramens I have had. The chanshu seems to be cooked on a grill but I didn't really enjoy it. The texture wasn't the greatest. I'll probably stick to the katsu next time!Parking: big parking lot“
“The restaurant is clean and not loud at all. I can't be in loud crowded spaces and this place is so welcoming. The food was fresh and our orders came out quickly. The best roll was the salmon lover roll and the smoked salmon nigiri sushi. Definitely a must try“
“We were seated almost immediately (party of 3). Our server was very friendly and informative, offering to put the spice on the side for my friends who couldn’t handle it. We got the vegetarian ramens (normal and spicy) as well as the spicy chicken and everyone liked it. The soy-based vegetarian broths were surprisingly creamy! Service was quick, with dishes served within 10 minutes of ordering.“
“Forget everything you thought you knew about vegan sushi! Gone are the days of limp lettuce and sad cucumber rolls. This new wave vegan Japanese restaurant is a revolution, offering flavor explosions and textures that rival their traditional counterparts. The main attraction: the sushi. Forget boring brown rice! Here, sushi rice is a vibrant canvas, colored with beetroot, turmeric, or avocado. Rainbow maki rolls boast an explosion of textures and colors, with ingredients like sweet potato tempura, crunchy cucumber, and creamy avocado playing a beautiful textural tango. Every bite is a testament to the chef's creativity and skill. Best food I had all year. I asked the staff to expand to New York and San Francisco, which would go wild for the quality of food they served us. Amazing!“
“Overall pretty solid, the pork chashu is one of the better ones I have had in the US, tender, good balance of fat and lean, the rice in the bowl was a bit dry, good sauce. The sushi rolls were big, perfect sushi rice, fresh ingredients but the sauce on the G Spot Roll was way too strong. Finally the Ramen, the noodles are perfect, right level of chew and the thickness that I like, but the soup base is very strange. My miso broth didn't taste like miso, but just a thick pork bone soup, I tried the spicy version, basically taste the same with some spices. I was also disappointed with the egg, yellow yolk? Using the US Ramen standard, this is not bad. It just reminded us that this is not LA.The service was super fast, 2 waitresses, 2 floors and bar counter, everything came up in 10 mins. There is a good alcohol selection as well.“
“Just coming from Japan and out of all the places I have been to here in San Diego, this place has the closest to real flavor in their ramen as you can get. The atmosphere is soft and quiet. The staff is very polite and helpful. I love it here. I wasn't able to taste the sushi but i will be coming back guaranteed. Thank you Izikaya Naruto.“
“Last Wednesday I went there with colleagues. It looks small from outside but it was roomy and nice wall art.Due to the food allergies unfortunately I can't eat seafood but I did enjoy some appetizers as well as kalbi. Agedashi tofu was diced cut easy to eat for everyone. Just wished if there is more soup with it. Kalbi was tender and perfectly cook I enjoyed it. My colleagues enjoyed their hand rolls, sushi and others. I'd like to revisit there.“
“I am proud that this restaurant is authentic and does not coddle to the Mexican or California fusion fad! I have been to Japan before and they do small plates. Respect their cuisine and style, don't force them to change. I don't understand why only the Mexicans complain about other people's cultures in cuisine. I am Mexican and there, I said it. This place is the best authentic Japanese in Chula Vista! Truly a gem especially since all this area has to offer is horrible cheap taco shops.“
“Not quite like they make it in Japan, but not bad! It’s definitely over priced, but most things are these days. The noodles were a good size & texture and the right portion for me, but some ramen lovers might be left wanting more noods. The spicy miso broth was good and not too greasy and the meat had a delicious charred taste. The soft boiled marinated eggs were also surprisingly good. We also got the garlic edamame and some sushi.“
“I was hungry and driving around looking for food. I was open to trying out a new place. This place exceeded my expectations, great servings, great price, and great flavorful food.Husband had the Ramen which he loved.I had the Teriyaki Chicken & Cali Roll plate. Started with the Miso, which was as good as it gets. Then came the Cali roll, it’s a simple roll and was executed correctly. Then came a generous portion of Chicken, Rice, and Potato Salad. Loved the chicken and rice. Salad was good. Potato doesn’t make sense for me but it was good. Lastly, I appreciated the small details they added to enhance their plate presentation like adding a pineapple & leaf. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.“
