“A MUST TRY! Make sure to grab reservations! This restaurant makes it into my top 10, if not top 5 list of best restaurants I've visited. It wasn't any one thing, it was that EVERYTHING was fantastic. The service: the team at Fable & Spirit take the time to give their guests the best experience possible. The cocktails, and the food were all perfectly balanced in their flavors and excellently prepared-- what I loved most was that there were blends of flavors I hadn't experienced together before and they were delightful. I sat at the bar and Blake and his team took the best care of me.- Wood Fired Pizetta: delicious, I'd order again.- Short Ribs: delicious, but likely would not order again- Himachi (seasonal) Sashimi Plate: so fresh and amazing flavors, I'd always order their seasonal Sashimi.- Chasing Perfection Cocktail: Unique and delicious cocktail, would absolutely order again!!!- Callebraut Chocolate Budino: Shockingly delicious. This dessert was a show stopper and unlike any other dessert I've experienced. Would order again.I would love it if this team created a tasting menu experience!!!Fable & Spirit is perfect for date night ❤️.“
“its been a year and a half since I have been here yet their food still tastes excellent! The calamari is the best appetizer you can get in my opinion. I loved the marinara sauce that came with it. I ordered some type of truffle pasta and they did not skip out on the truffle!! Biggest amount of truffle I have seen a restaurant give. My dad ordered a shrimp type of pasta and that was also delectable. For a dessert, we ordered the chocolate tart and it was so good!! This restaurant is on the pricer side yet still amazing!!“
“A hidden gem in NB. Great vibe, excellent food and friendly staff. My fra diavolo was piping hot and really good portion, really wonderful! Mahi sandwich w/ scalloped potatoes was so good too, could be shared. Kinda like Brophy Bro's from Santa Barbara, only no need to drive to SB!! ;)“
“I'm absolutely in love with this place! The layout is so unique - when you walk through the "front door," you're still outside; stairs take you down to an outdoor patio with a beautiful large tree in the center. There is a bar out there, though it's been closed whenever I've been, probably because I've never gone during the summer. Once you've reached the patio, to the right is the real front door Lol. Step inside & you'll see a casual typical pub to the right, down a couple more stairs, windows will be open to the patio with favorable weather. To the left of the main entrance is a cozy, mahogany, more formal dining area complete with a fireplace. This layout alone is enough to enjoy a drink or dessert, but the food I've had was delicious, too. I love the "Black Bush Stew," which is a delicious beef stew (generous chuncks) with a dollop of mashed potatoes, 2 lamb chops & a shot of Black Bush whiskey! It's no longer on the menu, but I last went in February & our server was amazing - friendly, funny, & accommodating - & had it made for me anyway! I haven't been on a night with live music, but that would be icing on the cake. Love this place!“
“Every trip to Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach is a win. They've got this chill vibe that makes you feel welcome right away. What really got me last time was when I was feeling off, ordered soup, and they tossed in some bread and a note that hit the spot. It’s those small things that show they’re actually paying attention. The food's always good, straightforward without trying too hard. But it’s the little extras and the vibe that keep me coming back. If you're in Newport Beach, it's worth stopping by. They manage to make each visit feel like they're glad to see you, which is pretty rare.“
“Every time I search rooftop bars in OC topside is the first to come up so I was excited when my girlfriends mentioned she got reservations here. We stopped by on a Saturday around 7pm and I was expecting it to be more crowded but there was a good amount of people there. We were initially sat in a little spot away from the fire but we wanted to sit near the fire pit and they made it happen!! Such a cute vibe and the servers were really nice. We all got espresso martinis and they were amazinggggg. We didn't order any food but there is a short list of tapas. Overall great experience and a fun place to go for a drink or two! Most of the drinks are around $20 which is to be expected for the vibe.“
“Our new favorite restaurant! Two trusted foodie friends recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Drinks were incredible, too. Our server was so helpful, charming, and made the evening a lot of fun. Will absolutely go back. Highly recommend!“
“EXCELLENT SERVICE ! My wife and I were doing some shopping at Fashion Island late on Friday afternoon. After finishing up our shopping at around 4.30pm we were thinking of heading outside the mall to grab some dinner. BUT THEN ! We really don't know the eateries here at all but we have had good dining experiences at Bazille ( inside Nordstrom ). My wife liked my suggestion...why leave the mall for dinner and hit bumper to bumper traffic on a Friday afternoon. FOND MEMORIES ! In fact a few years back we enjoyed a sensational dinner at Bazille in La Jolla. My wife still remembers her Lobster Mac & Cheese and I totally loved my Seared Scallops. And dessert was sensational....hard to beat Chocolate Paradise Cake and Maple Apple Cobbler. FIRST TIME HERE ! So we arrived here around 4.45pm and Alexander the host gave us a warm welcome. First up we asked him to point us to the restrooms ? After that we settled at a comfy table away from the open entrance. Soon after a friendly server named Jeff stopped by to help us. We had been checking out the menus incl the dessert menu. THINGS CHANGE ! The menu was vastly different from our last visit to a Bazille location 2 years ago. I ordered a Clown Shoes "Galactica Socal Citra" West Coast Style IPA....something new and a Crisp Calamari Starter. Meanwhile my wife decided on a Roasted Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich and I went with the Nordstrom Burger with Fries option instead of Salad. My ice cold can of beer and a chilled glass arrived courtesy of Jeff. The IPA tasted surprisingly good and was very refreshing ! Soon after my huge Crisp Calamari Starter hit the table...it looked pretty good and tasted alright. Before we knew it my wife's Roasted Turkey & Avocado Club Sandwich arrived followed quickly by my big fat Nordstrom Burger with seasoned French Fries. Around this time Giselle the manager dropped by to say hello. We mentioned some of the delicious items we had tried that were no longer featured on the menu...Giselle remembered the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Seared Scallops, Chocolate Paradise Cake and Maple Apple Cobbler....all gone ! My wife thought her club sandwich tasted pretty good and I didn't mind my burger with its huge beef patty ( I thought ). After reading the ingredients in more detail I saw that it was a Beyond Beef Patty....fake beef is not my thing. DESSERT ! Nothing really exciting or tempting on the dessert menu so we gave it a big miss. Being big Nordstrom fans it's such a shame the menu has been dumbed down in here !“
“We like staying at Newport Dunes because there is lots to do, and we can easily watch the kids play on the sand or ride their scooters behind the cottage. We bring our own fire pit. Flip side, it is expensive even off season, and the beach front cottages are cute, but small and vintage. Sofa sleeper not comfortable and very little in the kitchenette to cook with. I asked for a can opener and they brought me a wine cork screw. No oven cookware or sharp knives, or cooking utensils so byo. The kids love the 4' high loft, but you have to bring your own mattresses and bedding. The pool is nice and love the 2 jacuzzies. However, we only booked for one cottage night instead of two next fall because price seemed higher this year. I love the pizza and hamburgers sold by the beach and price isn't bad. Also I took kids 5, 6, 7 & 8 on the water park last year, and wouldn't do it again until they are much older. I had a hard time watching them all, and I couldn't even pull myself up on the platform. Great for older kids and young adults.“
“I've frequented Classic Q numerous times, and it never fails to impress as a premier spot to catch the big games. However, what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Our server, Bailey, embodies everything you'd want in a server: friendly, kind, and incredibly attentive. If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend requesting to be seated in her section for a flawless experience.“
“Not sure if it's because it's newer or it was St.Pats day but they seemed understaffed. The food was good but came out lukewarm. Done sent back to reheat. Service took forever to get drinks... we would have ordered more drinks if service was quicker. Most everyone got only 1 drink and we cancelled the 2nd drink order because we had already finished food. We were a party of 10 and it was not busy at all so not sure what was going on. Overall I would try it again but not rushing back anytime soon.“
“All across the board - five stars! I chose the "Louie's Land and Sea Dueto" at MP - a six ounce "Revier Farm Petit Filet, with Australian Lobster Tail ". The Australian lobster had the deepest flavor; and with a quick dip in melted butter just could not be surpassed. Oh, yes - I will be returning to Louie's.“
“Sweet spot to grab a drink if your bike riding up the coast. Cool people strong drinks and great views. They have plenty of TVs for Sunday football and even Nascar. Plenty of places near by to order some food and sometimes they have a Taco truck . Best to ride a bike there because parking does get tight. Our goto when we are in the area, near the ferry also. They have 2 pool tables and a jukebox.“
“The food is amazing. Very authentic pizza and the homemade pastas are unique and flavorful. The only downside on the menu is dessert. There is a hazelnut chocolate torte that tastes waxy, the panna cotta is good but not great and they add a lot of unnecessary toppings like black sesame seeds, and finally the gelato was icy, not creamy. I won't stop coming here because of the dessert but just be forewarned. If it's your birthday just hope they have tiramisu which is often the dessert of the day and quite good. Also, I don't understand the need for club music. It takes away from the ambiance. We always opt to sit outside where we can hear one another and they are more than accommodating.“
