There was so much, it was shared among the three of us, one of which does not like eggplant… yet she loved this dish! The food was a nice fusion of Balinese and Western. They managed it perfectly! We can’t wait to try a few more of their dishes! Oh, and the dessert was heavenly! And to top it off, awesome 80s music in the background.🎶”

“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.”

We had the 8 course tasting menu and honestly, I couldn’t find a single dish to say anything but amazing things about. After dinner we got a brief tour of the private dining area and back of house, shook hands with the executive chef and got to thank him for helping curate such a special birthday dinner for my partner and myself. It truly was a journey through coastal Mexico with every bite and the staff was incredibly kind. If you have an opportunity to experience this place, you should absolutely book the reservation! The chef’s and staff here earned their star for great reason!”

Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.”

“A few months ago our nonprofit organization was looking for a place where our families could meet up to enjoy some amazing coffee and socialize a bit. Our Angels at Right Hand Angels are disabled and many times they are not accepted in the community. That is not the case here. Each time we have walked in our families have been greeted with kindness, dignity and respect. The staff and owner is always quick to make a smile or chat for a few and even have made some great selections on foods and the game chess. One of our athletes in particular is very quick to claim his favorite chair where he can visually see everything and everyone around him in hopes to make small talk with families. Socialization is so very important to them. We think nothing but the world of this facility and highly recommend the dirty spiced chai and avocado toast. Join them. Atmosphere is very pleasant and wheelchair accessible.”

“Ate here for the first time last evening after driving past it many times up and down Oceanside Blvd. All I can say is "Incredible!!" We parked our car, walked into the grass carpeted area and felt like we were no longer on Oceanside Blvd. The area they have set up with tables, fame heaters and a large screen TV is great. It is immaculate, and actually cleaner than a lot of local restaurants I've been in. The young lady who helped us since it was our first time, was excellent. She was making sure the condiment area was supper clean, I could have eaten off of it, lol. She had a great smile and was very welcoming as she helped us with answering our questions about the menu. The food was excellent, and the portions were great. Pricing was excellent and we will definitely be back. Again, both the area and truck are immaculate and the cleanest I've ever seen. Exactly spot on!! Fluffy rustic mashed potatoes that tasted like soft yummy clouds! And the steamed veggies fork tender but not too soft! I mean one generously portioned and utterly delicious plate!! Everyone is super cool, from the staff right down to the patrons. My last birthday was celebrated at Artifex and they were super accommodating. There are three eateries within walking distance. One is a pizza place literally next door. The pizza is great, and they will deliver while you chat it up and enjoy a pint. I really can't say enough good things about this brewery - but I'll try if anyone asks. Artifex Oceanside is great!!”

“I purchased three cardamom buns from Anna’s stall at the Sunset Market in Oceanside. First of all, I was delighted to find them because you can’t find them anywhere in my state. Second, Anna was so lovely to chat to; so friendly and third, the buns were absolutely delicious. So light and sweet and the flavor of the cardamom subtle but fragrant - I’ve never had anything like them before but now I’m a big fan!”

Excellent coffee, in-house pressed juice, fun snacks and sundries, and friendly, informative staff and owner. Could be a fun meeting spot as they have a counter to sit and sip.”
