“Loved the resturant and the employees were amazing, helpful and kind. While I know this is fine dining the portions are very small. My scallops tasted tinny. They are supposed to have a sweetness to them. In my opinion the method of cooking and seasoning was off. The appetizers were just ok. We ordered two veggie sides and they were just ok. If your using local veggies sauces are not needed to make them delicious. I realize I'm picky. The menu just may not be for me. Nothing sparked I have to come back. I wish it did. The staff was amazing. I feel like the restaurant needs a menu restart. Maybe something the chef and the cooks are passionate about serving.”

“This is our favorite Italian restaurant in this area. They are vegan friendly, and the food is delicious.They have a small selection of vegan pizzas and have vegan cheese.My husband is from Chicago, so picky about his pizza. So far, their flatbread, is the only pizza he's found that is likes.We've ordered to-go for two large events over the past three years and everyone loved the food.”

“As a local in & out loyalist, I regret to announce that my head has officially been turned with our new neighbors north, Crispy Burger. I say “new” because it’s new to me, as I was reluctant to try this truckstop-esq spot. But boy, do I tell you, if you’re a fan of smashburgers, look no further. The burgers, fries and milkshakes are divine. Combine this with great prices, exceptipnal service, and the delight of great ranch (this truly matters), it's a sure recipe for weekly cravings. Im so happy I live a stones throw away. Overlook the highway pit stop and do yourself a favor trying crispy burger ASAP.”

“I have had many great experiences here. I usually sit up at the bar and the staff are all super knowledgeable and friendly. One thing to note is that it can get really crowded on days that are sunny/summer days when the beach is crowded. This goes for all of downtown Encinitas. Lots of people bring their dogs as well so that is a huge plus”

“This is definitely one of the best Korean fried chicken places I’ve been to since I actually lived in Korea! Everything is cooked to perfection, the portions are generous, and the pickled radishes are on par with any banchan in Korea. I liked the serving option for kids since they don’t eat much sometimes I don’t like to be wasteful.Parking: Really tight spaces and small amount of parking spaces too.Kid-friendliness: They have kids size servings and cups perfect because sometimes they don’t eat much.”

“Wow! This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is the perfect combination of beach casual, family friendly and still conveys that you are in for a treat. Fast and very friendly service made us feel right at home. Great drink selection both nonalcoholic and alcoholic. Now onto the tacos, I can't wait to go back! The grass-fed beef taco is heavenly perfection. Tender beef and so flavorful with the caramelized onions and cream making a magical sauce. The Cousteau fish taco was so fresh with the mango and cilantro adding to the simple and yet delicious taco. We saw a couple other menu items come out of the kitchen when we were there and I can't wait to try them all! Allergy and dietary concerns friendly for all. Parking lot in the back. Enjoy!”

“On Sunday morning my wife and I left Tempe, AZ at 4:00am and headed to San Diego for the weekend. Did we go to our hotel first? No! We drove straight to the Moonlight Beach Concession Stand for their chicken tacos. They're that good. The very first time we had them was at the Switchfoot BRO-AM event and we both said they were the best tacos we have ever had. We had them for lunch and went back and got them again for dinner. My wife said her coffee was also the best she has ever had. No exaggeration.”

“Great local spot and my go to dive bar to watch sports and enjoy bar food. They have wing wednesday and my top picks are there philly cheesesteak with fried green beans, lemon pepper dry rub wings, and the bratwurst. Service is unique and puts a fun twist on letting you know your order is ready with funny names. Cant go wrong with any if their beers on the wall, i typically go with the #15 or #22 hazy beer”

I had a daily special, a clams and mussels risotto.Lots of choices for wine, both foreign and domestic.We sat inside due to the weather, although a covered heated patio was available. We ordered the XO shrimp, spicy kumin lamb stir fry, and pork belly bao. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food comes out quick. Recommend, not many Asian fusion restaurants in the area.”

“This is pretty standard with other Philz Coffee. A slightly smaller space with less seating. Google maps also takes you a couple blocks away and you don't even know exactly where it is! I circled around and found it. Parking lot is teeny tiny and the area is a busy area in Encinitas. Not the most accessible place. I would rather try coming here than another round of corporate coffee. I usually get the mint mojito coffee, it's unique and tasty. There are a lot of other innovative drinks so it's a nice departure from the norm. Staff was nice, definitely check it out.”

Usually, a large is a place's highest option but Poki Poki had a larger option.Everything can be added without a fee except for the avocado.The place is nice too, it's clean and if you go at the right time, quiet. On this day, they had a movie playing to which I enjoyed half my plate. There was so much food that I'd have to finish it later in the day-yet it still felt like a full sized meal each time.The flavors are not the boldest when compared to other places but having almost every side gave it a good variety in taste. Regardless of the flavor, the fish and sides, salads and rice were all very fresh and delicious.”

“We were shopping in Encinitas on a Friday night when I spotted the front signage for Forchettaboutit Pizza. We decided to stop in for a couple slices. The joint was jumping on this Friday night and we had to wait a few minutes for an inside table. They do have outdoor patio heaters but it was still too windy to dine outside.We chose the white pizza with chicken and caramelized onions and their meat lovers pizza, and the Caesar salad with chicken. Everything was delicious.The salad was one of the best I've had. The meat was warm, so it was cooked to order and not refrigerated. It was juicy and had great flavor. The chef knows his chicken.The pizza was great if you don't mind a softer crust. It had a wonderful bite and really good char on the underside. Seasoning was great and the toppings looked fresh and really generous.Our waitress gave us a small ramekin of their marinara and it was sooo good. I will definitely try their pasta next time I'm in Encinitas.Service was excellent. All the waitresses had high energy, were fun, and very attentive.The only draw back was soda was from a can so no free refills.”

Had a southwest salad that was just chips busted up over romaine with shredded cheese, some chicken enchiladas where the meat was kinda dry and funky, and a veggie burger that was also just kinda so so. Didn't care to hold a conversation with our party even though we tried twice. Pros: Our server, thank god was very nice and always attentive. Food was very tasty and fresh. I didn't care much about the Chorizo burrito but we loved their yellow tail ceviche, guacamole was delicious, and my Ahi Tina was great! Besides the bartender, this was a great place.”

“Service was great!! The parking lot does get busy during the day when the rush hits. They do have alternate parking, which is nice. Came in on a busy day, high schoolers from the local area were in to have a delicious lunch. I don't blame them. Tried the San Diegan toasted for the first time and it was so good! Price for the full combo is decent. Really good. Dining in seemed nice as well. They had TVs, and a front patio to sit at. I would definitely recommend. The staff was friendly and professional to keep the rush steady. I'll be back for sure!”

“We had dinner at Cocina De Barrio. The ambience is very lively and loud but one would expect that from most restaurants. What was not expected was the cuisine. I use the word cuisine because the food is amazing. The presentation and preparation remind me of some Michelin star restaurants I've been to in San Diego. The staff is very knowledgeable regarding all the menu items and the many bar offerings. The staff was also very attentive without being overbearing. I'm still thinking about the guacamole dip made at our table. I highly recommend eating here. I know we will be back soon.”
