“Great chili cheese fries and banana shakeParking: It's a small place but alot of parking then there is a big parking lot in same location so yes plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Yes plenty of room inside or there's a eating place right out the door.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes you can wheel right up to the register or table plenty of room.“
“Food was okay. I've eaten here a few times and the prices have gone up a lot! Our bill was $50 (with tip) for two meals and two soda drinks. We ordered a stack of pancakes and a French dip! Will not be eating here again just because of the steep prices for what we ordered.“
“Only giving one star on atmosphere because it was the most ridiculously hot, uncomfortable, miserable dining experience we have ever had. Not sure if no AC is their thing or what, but they clearly had power when we dined there. We couldn’t enjoy our meal due to how suffocatingly hot the dining room was. That aside, the food was absolutely wonderful. But we are hesitant to return since our dining experience was truly the most uncomfortable one either of us has ever experienced. We just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible. But maybe that’s the point?Parking: You may have to walk a bit. Parking lot is plentiful, but close-up parking isn’t typical.“
“Love this place! Always a warm welcome busy place. The staff is always super nice & attentive. This is my #1 place in Roseville for breakfast & lunch. Spice your day up omelette is great! 9/10 California Benedict 10/10 I recommend getting extra hollandaise sauce. LOVE the veggie sandwich, packed with so many veggies & delicious flavors! 10/10 Fries 10/10 The loosen your belt turkey melt is awesome too! 9/10, just add avocado & it makes it a 10! They're always busy but worth the wait! Indoor & outdoor seating, always feels very clean. I've even had catering done here & the whole process is a breeze! Great food, great hospitality!“
“My third or fourth visit to Hawks. I've never been disappointed, and tonight was a memorable experience. Party of four for early dinner. The mushroom soup amuse bouche was wonderful. White Fog Farm lettuce salad was (reportedly) excellent. The Caesar salad was tasty but the creamy dressing revealed it as an imitation Caesar (in my opinion); the saving grace was the white anchovy on top. (I am a Caesar salad purist and I am frequently unimpressed; woe is me.). Entrées: Duck--excellent! Short ribs--excellent! Steelhead--excellent! Lamb loin--excellent and more! Wine: Fair--a Tuscan red, good but overpriced for the quality. Dessert: We have had the "beignets" before--these are tasty enough but they are NOT in any sense beignets--just sugary doughnut holes with caramel sauce on the side. What they called an entremet might, in a pinch, be considered a "deconstructed" entremet--but an entremet it was not. The parts were, however, very good, if little more than a small mound of fond chocolate with cocoa nibs and a bit of white filling. We were very pleased with the unexpected serving of two extra dessert items, quartets of little chocolate dollops on shortbread and Sangria-infused gel cubes--very playful and delightful. Decent late-bottled vintage port and good tea and coffee. The service was spot on--absolutely top-notch. We were VERY pleased with service and atmosphere. Despite the scattered culinary contradictions, I say : Go to Hawks--time well spent.“
“Stopped at AA for the first time on a Sunday after bowling. We ate in the large back room. I thought the prices were a bit high, but I admit that I don't eat out much and realize costs have come up. It is a huge menu, so something for everyone but may be overwhelming. Our server Wyatt was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I sampled the reuben, salmon benedict, and bread pudding, all delicious. The portion size is generous and the food came out hot. AA gets my nod over Sweetpea's (across the freeway).“
“Be prepared to wait! Even coming for early dinner it is PACKED. But worth it every time. A staple dish is the Mary's fried chicken. Not pictured are the pesto fries and they're bomb. All their cocktails are delicious, lots of beer on tap, and seasonal dessert options. All the same people always working and so kind. Never disappointed when I leave here.“
“This is a terrific family owned business! The food and service is always top notch and the vibes are amazing, and they have an ALLSTAR MVP behind the counter, she’s the best!!! Even hours later the food is delicious (my sandwich) highly recommend“
“My first visit left me impressed. A wide selection of beer and the food was very good. Overall the atmosphere was good and given the number of people the restaurant was surprisingly quiet which suggests they put in some sort of sound deadening material in the ceiling.“
“This place was pretty amazing. Oddly enough, I used to live right down the street from here for a year, used to go to the shopping center at least once a week and the Starbucks couple doors down a few times a week, for a few years... So, you can imagine how surprised I was to find out this place was there and this was my first time visiting it.... The service was great. They were on top of it, fast, attentive, helpful and very efficient. The restaurant is an old diner and definitely represents that old school style, layout and vibe. The food was great! Just what I needed and what I was looking for. I didn't even think that you could get as good of a breakfast from a diner, but, this was pretty great. All was fresh, made to order, great combination and flavors. I will definitely be frequenting this place now that I know what they have to offer and a few other items I'd like to try on their menu.“
“Tried this place for breakfast on a rainy Sunday. The food was very enjoyable with reasonable portion sizes (more than you should probably eat in one sitting but not a crazy amount of food). Their staff was definitely busy as well. They were still kind and attentive enough. Late Sunday morning breakfast/brunch in Rocklin is quite busy (generally speaking) and this place is no exception. We arrived at what felt like, right before the rush. Because of the rain, their patio seating was not open and so this probably helps explain why they were packed already. My one complaint is that the hosting area and getting your name on a list for a table was a bit confusing. This wasn't just me and I observed several customer who had the same confusion. Since there is not really a waiting area for seats, people were standing in and around the door (because they didn't want to stand outside, understandbly). I don't know how they could solve this problem since it just seems like they are already doing everything they can with the space.Food was well seasoned and the breakfast potatoes are really yummy. I always have a tendency to order things that are on the menu but then customize them pretty wildly. Our server didn't even bat an eye and was able to handle my request with ease. Omlettes are excellent choices here and while my wife and I tend to enjoy savory breakfasts more than sweet, we did observe other patrons who were enjoying sweet dishes as well. For our respective breakfasts, the food here tastes less greasy (generally speaking) than a lot of other 'hearty breakfast diner style restaurants. For us, that is definitely appreciated because you feel like you can eat a properly seasoned meal and still have energy to do things for the rest of the day.Overall, we enjoyed our meal and experience and I think Hot Off the Griddle will make it into our rotation of breakfast haunts in Rocklin. Just beat the Sunday morning rush.“
“It's always worth the one hour drive from our home to enjoy lunch or brunch at the High Hand Cafe where you can enjoy your meal while you feel you're eating in a beautiful "greenhouse" we've consistently enjoyed delicious breakfasts and sandwiches. They are adjacent to a nursery and a pretty incredible koi pond. So, if you do not have a reservation and there is a wait...it goes by pretty quickly as you meander through the grounds. And even after, there are shops and a wine tasting option on the premises! THE STAFF... each and every time we've visited, we have come away thinking and feeling how nice it is to enjoy a meal served by an entire staff that truly enjoy serving, Always pleasant and with a smile. Give High Hand Cafe a try...you'll enjoy the entire experience!!Kid-friendliness: We have visited High Hand Cafe with the kids, the staff is attentive and quick to take our order and deliver the meal! There is even an outdoor pizza oven so the kids enjoyed seeing their pizza being made!“
“The food here is absolutely delicious! It is a must try! The menu is great and the food is even better! The owner is super kind and extremely informative if it's your 1st time here! Definitely in my top three restaurants in citrus heights!Vegetarian options: Everything that I have tried is delicious!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and my son loves it here!Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible..“
“Since none of my daughters like corned beef, this is my best option to get the food I enjoy on St. Patty's Day. It is that time of year again, where Nabih Haddad, the owner and chef extraordinaire, prepares corned beef and cabbage. It is the most delicious dish I have ever had. The meat is always so tender. I am taking an order to a friend who cannot drive. She loves his cooking!“
“I used to live in the area and the food, service and atmosphere was great then as it is today. This restaurant smelled delicious walking in, had no wait to be seated, food came up quick and there was no rush to leave I'm glad I stopped in, I was on a road trip and saw that it was open running.“
“We had a reservation and seated promptly. Both had burgers prepared correctly and the duck fat fries were crispy, very good. Our waitress was very tentative and had everything we asked for brought right away. It was a little noisy pretty crowded but it was a Saturday night. Will go back want to try the schnitzel sandwich.“
“Such a wonderful experience every time we come here! Everything - I mean everything - is fantastic: service, food, drinks, atmosphere. Even when they are busy, it's not too loud and the attention from the servers is just right. Highly recommended!“
“My friend recommended trying this place out because he knows how much I enjoy a good breakfast place. My go-to places are Fox and Goose and Tower Cafe. Both are perennial best in the city breakfast places.Granite Rock has much more variety for different diets with a vegetarian and protein section of the menu. They have more options for omelets and a fabulous burger. Their biscuits have a great wow factor, and the front of house staff can match many top Sacramento options.I was not disappointed, and that is saying a lot, considering I drove 30 miles to get here.Next, I will try their sister restaurant in Folsom (the name is different, but they mention it on the menu I posted here).“
“Great!Fresh food, well prepared with nice classy touches. Don't have a favorite meal but eat there weekly and have tried many selections ...all stellar.Staff and owner are so welcoming! Great servers who are friendly, upbeat and efficient.Haven't had a favorite go-to restaurant in Lincoln after Beerman. We do now and for the past 3 years!Eat local and support this great spot!“
“We love this place a lot but the last time we went we had a party of 6 and had to squeeze into a booth (mind you it was St.Pattys day, so super busy!). Our waitress was super sweet and brought us a chair so we could fit better. Overall we would come back even if they sat us outside on the sidewalk lol“
“Really good grilled cheese and tomato bisque. They can make everything vegan but we did real cheese on their fresh sourdough bread from a local bakery. Organic green salad comes with. Matcha latte unsweetened was hearty with real milk but alternative mills available Seating inside for 20 inside and outside more seating Nice staff and simple space“
“We were in a hungry, on our way to a memorial service. We stopped in let the ladies know our time constraints. Ordered eggs, bacon;&toast. They rushed our order. My over medium eggs were perfect. We really appreciate all the staff who were a part of getting us on our way! We'll have to plan to stop in again & take our time to enjoy other menue choices.“
“My favorite family owned breakfast and burger place in the Sacramento Valley! The staff is always very welcoming and have lots of great recommendations ready for you. The food is top notch and outdoors patio is a perfect place on a sunny day. Love coming here!“
“Moksa Barrel House is a collaborative mash of serving local Rocklin Moksa beers and food created by the chef/owner of Hawks restaurants.Right when I walked in, the size of the dining room threw me off. From the outside, it didn’t seem that big. But, it’s a pretty big with its high ceilings and significant square footage. Plenty of seating choices of communal long tables, high pub tables, and smaller tables made it a great option for any group size.Towards the back wall, to the far left is where beer and alcohol can be bought. To the far right is for ordering food and non alcoholic drinks. The wall menu board is hard to see while standing in line. At least for my aging eyes. But don’t fret, the QR menu codes are plastered all over the place. For the food, they give you a buzzer and will buzz ya for pickup. The lunch and dinner menu are the same, it includes fries $5-13 (a bunch of different kinds), burgers $8-13, chicken sandwiches $10-15, salads $6-12, hot dog $9, and soft serve. They even serve breakfast, starting at 7 am. Coffee & espresso drinks are served all day while the hot breakfast items stop at 11 am.I bought a hot dog. They serve Snake Rive Farm Wagyu dog on a potato bun. The dog was split grilled but was served lukewarm. I suppose the dog was hot off the grill but when they added the cold relish, chopped tomatoes, and other condiments, it must have decreased its temp. But despite that, I’m game to drop by again.“
“Cute one story red building...inside was clean..employees very friendly...when you walk in, you order at register and then go find a booth or table...they bring you your food and then come pick up your dishes when done eating. I enjoyed my omelette and potatoes...I was very pleased with my meal, especially the potatoes were cooked as I requested. The prices are reasonable and portions were plenty...I do recommend going and I will be returning.“
“Came here Monday with my son and parents and enjoyed this cute little restaurant. It was a bit slow in the service area but the longer we were there, the more people came in. It was very busy and they seemed to not have much staff. I definitely don't miss working in the restaurant industry. Huge apologies to the employees working for having to deal with my father being mad at every little thing and him complaining. He refused to leave a tip so I left one instead without him knowing lol. There's no reason to take it out on our servers when the delay is the kitchen and the restaurant is busy. I would love to come again to try the French Toast.“
“We visited on Saturday, myself and 3 children. Loved our experience here! Food was cooked well and delicious. Our server Mack went above and beyond and made sure we had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Overall a wonderful experience.Dietary restrictions: I’m on Keto and there were many options, including a lettuce wrapped burger that was amazing, veggies were cooked perfectly, and server was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu.“
“Happy we stopped here!We did two wine tastings and a wine slush. Per the server recommendation, we did half rose half Zinfandel and it did not disappoint! We mostly loved that it was not overly sweet, a perfect balance. To top it off their fall decor was a nice touch! Also, they have different events going on such as live music, we’ll definitely be back to check them out!“
“First- our server was OFF THE CHARTS amazing. He was truly a professional who was wine educated and knew the menu intimately. Each of our entrees were delightful (halibut, salmon, coconut shrimp). In a nutshell: delicious food, quality, gorgeous presentation and a reasonable price.“
“A truly authentic cheesesteak. They use Amoroso’s bread and import their meats. This is a family run shop and they’ve survived through the pandemic. That should say it all. An east coast steak on the west coast. Get a traditional with whiz.“
“My kids actually chose this place for my birthday dinner! I was a little skeptical because of the name of the restaurant and the fact that we were bringing our young grandkids. All I could envision was a crowded bar/pub type place that catered to the college crowd. Was I ever wrong! It wasn't too crowded, and we were able to get right in, no wait. Our large party was seated at a table plenty big enough to accommodate us comfortably. The menu was diverse enough so that it had something for everyone, including a kids menu. Our drinks were delivered promptly, and our food order followed shortly afterward. We ordered burgers, the Ribeye French Dip, Cali Chicken Sandwich, and other things, along with several appetizers. I highly recommend the Ribeye French Dip. Super flavorful and tender (even when I had to reheat the last half the next day). Service was over the top good, with friendly staff who made great suggestions. There was even live music that was actually entertaining. We've added University of Beer to our list of fun places to go. Don't be afraid of taking the kids!“
“A California classic! You haven't really had the NorCal experience until you add a cheese skirt to an epic burger. Add to that the friendliest staff in town and you would be remiss to skip this place on the way to Tahoe.Parking: Shared lot with 80+ spotsWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible“
“Prices are up everywhere so cost is comparable. Always treated well when I go there. The best part is out of the hundreds of times I've been their only had a problem twice because of a drunk person running his mouth when he should have minded his own. For the most part it's a great place.“
“My favorite Denny's at Sunrise Blvd and Douglas Ave. in Roseville. I visited after I landed at Sacramento Metro airport at 11pm. Still open 24 hours, it was packed! There were only two waitresses and one cook. That made service very slow. The double cheese burger with fries was $15, the single cheese burger about $14 (Seemed a bit pricey). My wife and son split the double cheese burger and fries. On the positive side:1. I really enjoyed the chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy with sweet corn for $10.992. You get a 15% discount with an AARP card.3. Grand Slam is still $7.99 or Super Slam $9.99 all day.*Open 24 hrs. and kid friendly (Check my photo, there are kids in there under the age of 10yrs and it is 11pm), with a discount, how can you beat that!“
“This is the best breakfast i’ve had in a while! The chipotle omelet was super good, the creamcheese is something i havent had before in an omelet but it tasted great. The biscuits and gravy were really good too. They werent the most savory, slightly sweet, but that way they didnt seem too heavy. We also got a burger which was also on point.Last i got some marmalade and raspberry jam for my toast. I was expecting smuckers packages but instead they brought out jam in glass jars which im suspecting is made from scratch. They were both delciious. The staff is also super friendly, they were really busy but there was more room than i thought inside and out. Def plan to go back some day!“
“They have always had good donuts, that's not debatable. This past weekend was my daughter's 4th birthday party. She asked for a donut themed birthday. I called the day before and asked for 2 dozen donuts. The woman I talked to was amazing. She was so excited for us, and she said she'd make sure we had lots of sprinkles, because the kids love sprinkles! When we went to pick them up on Saturday we had just driven to Cavitt Jr High to discover the annual egg hunt was cancelled. My daughter was so upset, she was completely inconsolable while we tried to explain we'd still get the donuts and her party wasn't cancelled. We went inside and the woman working the register was so kind to her that she completely forgot about the egg hunt. She showed her all the donuts she packed for us, and even gave her a special heart shaped donut. She couldn't stop smiling the whole time we were there. Anyone with a toddler or small child knows how game changing this was, and it helped set the mood for the rest of the day. TLDR. Donuts are awesome. Service is awesome. 100/10“
“My friend said the gluten-free pizza was the best she has ever had. This may be hard to believe, but I am the only one in our group that likes anchovies :) The cook gave me some on a separate plate to add to my slices . We all thought the pizza was the best we have had in a long time .“
“Had the beet salad, delicious and presentation amazing. Friend dining with had shrimp added, huge and she said delicious. Enjoyed the brussel sprout appetizer, also very good and generous portion. Had the bacon on side since vegetarian.Vegetarian options: Anything can be altered to vegetarian. We had the brussel sprouts altered, they were amazing.Pizza and other options.Parking: Parking available within the plaza.“
“Had the best night tonight with my girlfriends! The best part was our bartender Gina! She makes a mean dirty martini and if hilarious!!! By far the best and my new fav bartender! I will frequent this speakeasy just to hangout with Gina! Thank you!!!“
“Best place to go with your homies, your family, or on a date. The food never misses and the atmosphere is always chill. The owner is great guy who cares a lot about his restaurant. The staff and servers are always top notch. The prices are actually really decent and the serving portions are ON POINT. Don’t sleep on this place.“
“Enjoyed our breakfast!! Veggie omelet with lots of veggies. I added Ortega chilies. Omelet was moist and served hot. Coffee good for restaurant coffee. My husband enjoyed his cheese and ham omelet.Very nice staff. Owner super friendly. Prices fair.Looks like a fair number of regulars coming in.“
“One of the best places to get a classic American breakfast. The staff are attentive and accommodating, the food looks like advertised, and I left satisfied! I hope you fine folks at Black Bear Diner are blushing!Kid-friendliness: Kids love it here! They got big portions and a family friendly environment!“
“We found this restaurant while on a long trip. The weather was very rainy, but the restaurant and staff were warm and friendly. The food was tasty and had good portions. We left very full, and would definitely return if we pass through again.“
“Went to dinner here around Christmas time and had a great experience. The staff start off the night introducing and telling a fun fact about themselves. Definitely different than any dining experience I've had before, but unique. They also go over the four courses, in detail, which is nice.First course was a spinach and cranberry salad. Really good dressing and lots of bacon. I'm not a big salad fan, but this was good. My wife, who is a salad fan, loved it.Second course was Lobster Bisque. Honestly, this was probably the favorite part of the meal for myself and my two daughters. It will really, really good, tons of taste/flavor.The main course was deconstructed Beef Wellington, which I think basically means the steak is outside of the pastry. It sat on top of I guess what you would call pated (not even sure that's a thing) mushrooms. This was all really good. Maybe not the best steak I have ever eaten, but very good.Dessert was a Peppermint Brule Cheesecake. This was good, but I'm not a huge peppermint fan, so that didn't do it for me. The carmelized brule on the top of it was a nice touch, though. The one inconsistency I saw was in the wine prices. The two cabs they had on the menu were $20 and $28 per glass. I only tried the $20 cab, Crown Point Relevant, which was fantastic. The $28 cab was for a wine I wouldn't consider near that price range and ratings on it aren't great. There was also a red blend that was $12 per glass for a bottle you can get for $14. And I know you're always paying a premium for wine (or liquor in general) at a restaurant, but I look for pricing that is commensurate with quality/value.The servers here were great, very attentive, very friendly. They do add a 20% Service Charge/Tip, but that is clearly stated. Overall, was a great, unique experience.“
“Auburns HIDDEN EMERALD GEM!!!The girls are always INCREDIBLY NICE, friendly and FAST! I TELL EVERYONE about this place and most have never heard of it and love it when they try it out. The only downside to this is it's location... it couldn't be in a more awkward and difficult to access in the middle of a weekday location! It's worth taking your life in your hands trying to navigate that section of hwy 49 for THE AMAZING FOOD AND PRICES. the fries don't get any fresher and the dogs don't get any tastier than they make!“
“On my first night in Roseville, I found myself craving a quick bite. The hotel was surrounded by several restaurants, and my preference for local. But I also wanted to catch March Madness games. So I went over to, Eureka. As I knew I could a nice juicy burger and crispy fries. The burger arrived—a masterpiece of perfectly seasoned beef, melty cheese, and fresh toppings. The fries, golden and addictive, disappeared faster than I could keep track. As I savored my meal, an enjoyed the games played on the screens.“
“My kiddos wanted to get out of town so we headed up the hill. Burgers were on their radar so we searched what was available and we randomly stopped here. There was a light show parade going on which the kids thought was cool.I really didn’t have high hopes as too many highly rated burger joints in Sacramento can’t get it right (when did people forget to season meat?!?). But we were all blown away. Perfectly seasoned (FINALLY) and cooked burgers. Burger was very tasty, and melted in your mouth. Veg was fresh and crisp. Incredible fries and shakes that tasted home made. The 1/3 burger with medium fries was spot on for serving size.Sure the place could use a coat of paint and some upkeep. But the burgers are bargain priced the staff super friendly. This is now my fave burger joint outside NYC.“
“Atmosphere is excellent on any day when you are given the option of both indoor, semi- outdoor enclosed tent with heat lamps, and outdoor seating. Food menu is designed with something for everyone; however I slightly wished it was less of a bar food-type, but the quality is there when compared to lesser bar food. It's a walk-up counter to order and dogs are welcome here.“
“The food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. We went out with some friends and 3 children and I loved that they were able to put us in a backroom so that we didn't feel like the kids were disturbing others. The food was delicious, and although it did not seem like a massive portion compared the Black Bear Diner, it was very filling and the Santa Fe Scramble left me wanting a nap afterwards. Although I do wish they included a little more salsa with it.“
“Great place to kick back and watch a live band on a Sunday. We saw the Sunset River band and had a blast. The drinks are reasonably priced and the place is alway fun. The bartenders are great and heard the food is not bad. Fun place to hang with friends.“
