“The food here is great. You're always greeted with a smile. It can get a little pricey quickly but it's just so hard to stick to a few items. My only complaint which it's not bad it's just personal taste is some of the veggies are so fresh and juicy if your not going to eat within minutes of ordering your bread will for sure be soggy. I get pickles and it always makes my bread soggy. They have great lasagna and different selections of drinks, chips, and subs. They are one of my top places for a great sandwich. “I had the San Carlo special. It was pretty good. I've had better subs at places like Jersey Mike's. However, San Carlo is very good at its slightly lower price point. I will go back to try some of their more expensive options to see how those compare. I also had some of their pizza bread. “Yes please! I've loved this place since my parents moved to Tarzana in 1985. For some reason I'm stuck on the salami wrap. I rarely waver. Always get that, some stuffed grape leaves (which are to die for), a bag of chips and a drink and that's my idea of a perfect lunch. They have three or four tables if you just can't wait to get it home. Lots of fun, interesting Armenian groceries as well. “Ike's has the best vegetarian subs around! Well, from what I've tried anyway. Few months back I tried their Freddy Krueger sandwich (not vegetarian) on their dutch crunch and it was great. The dutch crunch is delicious. I also tried their James and the giant peach recently and it'll be my go-to anytime I visit for sure! All the ingredients come together perfectly and the vegan fried chicken is good too! Their sandwiches come with a candy (caramel apple lollipops) and as someone with a sweet tooth, I love it. Service was good and my sandwich came out in a timely manner. It's a great place to grab a bite after running errands in the plaza.“

“This review of country deli comes from a longtime customer, myself! I've been eating at this restaurant for almost 30 years! I Can honestly say that they make the best pastrami sandwich in the area. The service at the restaurant is excellent. The staff are so kind and friendly and you're always able to get a table fairly quickly. in closing, I highly recommend eating a big fat pastrami sandwich at Country deli so that you can feel guilty and go to the gym and work it off.“

“My family and I went to Uncle Bernie's Deli for an early dinner the other night. We all loved the big spacious dining room with high ceilings and a skylight. It made the room light and bright and airy which is always enjoyable. I had the half sandwich and soup combination. I chose matzo ball soup (there's a small up charge for matzo ball soup) and a 1/2 pastrami sandwich. It was served with my choice of side. I chose the French fries. The matzo ball soup was delicious and was so filling that I could only take a few bites of my pastrami sandwich (which was also delicious) before I asked for a to go container. My daughter ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich which, unfortunately, she didn't know came with mushrooms. The menu doesn't describe anything, it just lists everything, and my daughter is used places where you have to request mushrooms so it didn't occur to her that they would come on the sandwich. Unfortunately she doesn't like mushrooms, so we got the waitresses attention and told her that we didn't know it came with mushrooms and that my daughter doesn't eat mushrooms. The waitress very quickly offered to have the sandwich remade. It was so nice that she didn't have an attitude about it at all. Also ordered by members of my family were the fish plate (enough for my mom and stepdad to share) and a cheeseburger with a fried egg on top. Everyone said their food was delicious. The service was great throughout our meal. As we were finishing our meals the restaurant suddenly became busy with other patrons so it took a little while to get the check, but we were happy to sit and chat. We will definitely go back to this establishment.“

“The biggest and best chicken tostada you will find anywhere! Baja salad is great with all the colored tortilla chips. Tuna roll, French toast, beef dip, Rueben, Pastrami, Denver omelette, All delicious meals I have had here that were great. Oh yeah, Hamburger with mushrooms, swiss cheese, bacon and tomato with crispy fries! I love this place! Carlos has worked hard to keep this place going with great tasting food. I have been coming here for 20 years and have never had a bad meal. Places like this that have fresh cooked food are hard to come by. I hope God blesses this restaurant with more business. Between a truck smashing into his building causing him to close for almost a year, then the pandemic, then a lot of local businesses closing he has kept working hard with his employees to keep the doors open. The pastrami is lean, and they let us know that ahead of time. To me, maybe a bit lean. It lost a bit of the flavor she loves so much. But I can't knock them because they definitely told us. I Stuffer from an autoimmune disease that has messed up my mobility with being said. I got out of my car to t that long line with my walker and started Up the incline towards the end of the line when one of the honey baked employees came running after me me. He kindly tapped me on the shoulder and said ma'am please come with me we want you to come inside to purchase your ham, they s as me struggling up the incline. I did not expect that I just wanted to get in line and eventually purchase my ham. They acted with compassion and kindness they helped me down the incline they walked with me until they saw I was safely inside.
