The portion of ham was very good. Love the honey mustard (which they sell bottled).I can't speak to how crowded it gets as I was there in the afternoon, but I suspect they get busy at lunch.At 630am on my way to work, I've seen the very long lines down the sidewalk at the Holidays, so you definitely need to plan ahead if you're ordering a ham at that time.The staff was very friendly and helpful. “Easily one of my favorite chicken pesto sandwich shops to come and indulge at. Everything here is beyond fresh and tasty. I always order their chicken sandwich and substitute their shredded cheese with imported mozzarella, and I also substitute the mayonnaise with fresh pesto that they make in house. The sandwich literally melts in your mouth when accompanied with some amazing organic truffle or smoked paprika chips. Portions are pretty generous--not the biggest, not the smallest--right in the middle. The workers are extremely friendly and polite to their patrons. The best part is that it does not take too long to receive your food, usually within 10 to 12 minutes. It will be ready. I promise you that you will not regret visiting this finest establishment located in the heart of Glendale at the Americana at Brand.“
“I've been coming to Mario's years! Great sandwiches hot and cold, Pizzas are outstanding, fresh made lasagna is to die for. I get my fresh made mozzarella & cannoli shells here and the market is outstanding for Italian food, pasta and all the Italian supplies and spices you'll need. Always get my olive oil from Mario's & if you're lucky, Mario will be out stocking the shelves where you could talk to him. He's retired but still works while his kids run it.“
