“Masa Ramen BistroStopped off at Masa Ramen Bistro for an early Saturday dinner. Street parking, but it wasn't an issue. Only a handful of people in the restaurant.These are the dishes we ordered in descending order of my preference.Diamond Head - this ramen bowl is legit. Soup is rich and creamy. Noodles have a good chew to them. The flavor is great and you get a nice whole soft boiled egg.Broke the Mouth - we ordered a 3 out of 5 which was spicy but not knock me over spicy. It was kind of interesting with a mountain of shredded parmesan in there. Despite it being tasty, I think my preference would be a straight black garlic version (Kuni).POG - pretty sweet and tropicalDa Kine Chicken - the chicken was well fried and marinated. I don't think there was much seasoning on the breading though. Also thought the pairing with the ponzu sauce was a bit odd.Bruddah Brussels - these were brussel sprout halves, coated with panko and parmesan and fried. Hot and tender in the middle. Just wasn't working for our family and it largely went uneaten. Normally when we're getting fried brussel sprouts, they're crispy, greasy, well-seasoned, and gone faster than the Flash.All in all, I'm always ecstatic when I find a good bowl of ramen in the East Bay. They are just so few and far between. Definitely will come back for that and maybe try out some of the other appetizers.“
“It's been years since I've had Mensho in SF, and claim it as my favorite in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, location and finding parking discouraged from me going back. I've gotten their a5 wagyu and it was absolutely divine, and I miss it. Sooo I finally got to try the Oakland location, and much to my surprise I was there at 6:30 pm and was able to get a table. Lots of tables were available on this particular Thursday night. Street parking wasn't that bad either. I got the a5 wagyu shoyu and the wagyu melted in my mouth like I remembered. The blend of flavors just harmonized, not taking over the other. We also got the signature ramen which was really meaty. It was really good too and had a hint of smokiness. The meat just wasnt as melt in your mouth as the other. Enoki mushroom chips is a must as well. Service was really fast. We were out within 35 min. They're really friendly too. We were also greeted with salutations by all staff. I can't wait to go back, and more often.“
“The veggie ramen was delicious! Friendly staff and fast service. I came for lunch during the week and was able to find street parking nearby. Lots of seating inside and a couple tables outside. I would come again if I'm ever in the area.“
“I always come here since they've opened!! The food is always super fresh and tasty!! Lots of flavor made with lots of love!!:) Today I ordered from doordash & we all know doordash can be a bit goofy when it comes to modifying orders... Not an issue when you have awesome people working at this restaurant:) I called to tell them the issue I was having on the app.. I wanted to add-extra macaroni to my order (who doesn't love the macaroni!! I mean come-on it's the best!) the nice lady who I was speaking on the phone with told me not to worry about it; fixed my order and gave me extra macaroni - no extra charge! It's the little things that make me happy and us customers happy! Now I'm happy and full :D“
“Atmosphere was awesome, such great vibes. Food was delicious, high quality and very very well made. Obviously the sushi rolls were good, but the appetizers were awesome too!We came as a part of four, were seated immediately at the bar and had an awesome time enjoying wonderful food!“
“Excellent selections and tastes. Not too expensive and high quality dishes. We tried a number of dishes and surprisingly everything was wonderful. Really! Atmosphere is jovial and a bit noisy, but in a good way. Definitely worth a visit, even if you are not a Japanese food fan.“
“The chashu pork and braised thick pork belly in the Hakata Tonkotsu DX were both melt in your mouth tender and so flavorful. The noodles looked so plain, thin, and straight, but they had soaked up tons of flavor and were exceptionally chewy from start to finish. Now, I just need to bring friends along next time so I can try more of the menu!“
“Totally empty on a Tuesday afternoon at lunch time, but that is not a bad thing. The food is pretty average fare, again not a bad thing. The curry with chicken and rice is pretty good. If you stop by, be sure to also stop on at the cable car museum a block over.“

“My friend and I wanted ramen and this place has excellent vegetarian ramen. It's as good as Marufuku, without the lines and the noise. One portion is big enough to share, but since a serving has one egg, it's easier to get two portions and take home what you can't eat.“

The restaurant offers the option to order food by scanning a QR code located on each table. Service throughout our visit was minimal but efficient, with our meals arriving promptly. Additionally, I appreciated the inclusion of two gender-neutral restrooms, which I found to be exceptionally clean—a detail I consider important when dining out.“
“This is a place of culture.. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was playing as we walked in. Everything was good from noodle texture to individual ingredients. Also dig the layout and interior design of the restaurant. Their exterior design is pretty unassuming, which makes the interior design that much better.Side note: The website hasn't been updated so the prices were a bit higher than expected. Still reasonable considering how bad prices are in Bay Area.“
“Our go-to place for sushi! A cozy, romantic spot. They make pictures with the sauces - fun for kids! Update: eating out less, kid grown, but still really love this place for a cozy self-date. Great service and the food is always exceptional. On street parking, which isn't too bad.“

“Excited to check off this ramen spot! We saw they do this duck truffle ramen on a 2022 menu posted in Google map. That seems to be gone now (we saw truffle ramen with no mention of duck). Anyway, we went for their tori paitan and chuuka men ramen. The broth was flavourful and the ramen texture was good. Can't really complain here.“

“God bless em! We were looking for a special meal at 9pm on Christmas Eve and Ippudo was OPEN and serving up the best ramen we could ever ask for. They were friendly and attentive- the server suggested her favorite- the spicy pork ramen, and it was INCREDIBLE. I would absolutely go back there, and thank you for being open on Christmas Eve. “Ramen restaurants are popping up everywhere nowadays! Yummy house is good and the prices are competitive with other ramen restaurants. I had the vegetable ramen and it appears to be the only ramen dish that don't use pork broth. For $12.99 it was a tasty bowl of portions. I also had the salmon tuna poke and that was a very tasty treat that I took to go and ate it at home while watching Fubar on Netflix, lol. Sorry, i forgot to take a picture of the ramen bowl. ?“
“Came here for a catch up session with a friend who moved to Mexico that was craving sushi. It was empty on a Weds (which we preferred), the selection, deals and quality were AMAZING and fresh! Our server was extremely attentive and the portions were PERFECT!“
“Sobo Ramen has a 2 for 1 Happy Hour from 5pm-7pm Mon-Fri. Everybody wins!I just got the email announcing the offer and ate their again last night. I've eaten and ordered take out from Sobo at least 20 times. Since I like it spicy, I get the Black Garlic Tonkatsu which has this little pool of delicious black garlic oil floating on top. Its all so rich and satisfying. This is definitely my favorite Ramen place in the entire bay area.“
“Food is competitive to other spots in the area, but what I do like about katana-ya is that it has wonderful variety of Japanese food. It may not have superior sushi or ramen but i go here for dishes that I can’t get anywhere else in this area.“

I'm not too satisfied with the atmosphere though, it was very bright but the food totally made up for it. Highly recommend for a casual dinner out. “Your quest for ramen is over. Itani is the best ramen spot hands down. I have tried countless other places across the bay and everytime I find myself saying it's not as good as Itani. I have yet to be disappointed with any item on there menu. Slurp up my friends, it doesn't get better than this.“
“The food is amazing! My go to order is Shrimp Fried Rice with an order of Egg rolls and a mango tea! The service is great, everyone is kind and greets you when you come in! It's usually not packed when i go, but it definitely should be because it's great here! The only issue is the parking spaces, it's limited but if you're lucky you'll find some, close by!“
