“A place on 24th St., the salvation to have a coffee, eat a good sandwich, have a beer and if you like everything Italian you will find it here! The guys are very friendly and the owner can't even speak of, I really liked it, I recommend it!“
“The first time we came here it was a rainy night and packed. The music was going and it seemed like a local crowd. Tonight it was a little less crowded but just as lovely. The food, drinks are great. The Sunday music transports you to another place across the Atlantic. So sweet and highly recommend this place. The pork chop is a fave, as is the cottage pie and roasted chicken. You will have leftovers.“
“Got a great parking spot across the street in front of Now Valley Bakery, which is not always the case on 24th Street. We were meeting friends there in the back outdoor area. TVs at every booth and you just ask the server to change the channel - we wanted to see the Giants. Midday beers on St Patrick’s Day weekend and it was lovely out. Lots of locals go there, so we saw a few friends. Service was great and I was introduced to the Black Velvet: Prosecco and Guinness! Sounds kind of awful but it was great. Our server was Shanna and she’s so much fun and works hard. Took great care of us!“
“We ate wings here last year- best we've ever had. Crunchy, hot, amazing sauces, fast service. Went back thinking no way they are that good. We had to have been tired or really hungry or something. We knew, we were cashing the dragon. But we went again on Easter...and HOT DAMN!! BETTER than we remembered!! So rarely does food measure up across time and memory! They did not disappoint! The fry on these wings is special and spectacular!! NOT TO BE MISSED! The MVP and Lemon Honey wings- I miss them already. Great onion rings too! Plus a great jukebox.“
“I returned back to SF after 8 years. I wandered in one night and met Justin. Hell of a guy and a place to match. It doesn't matter what you're wearing, who you're with or if you're alone, they will make you feel welcome. Even if the day went wrong, the personnel will help make it better. The drinks for an inside SF bar are reasonably priced. The gents are as honest as the day is long. Refreshing place to find and so close to where I moved. It's my new go to place for watching the game or whatever is on and having instant camaraderie with the patrons.“
“Great pit stop when you flight is delayed from SF to LA. The staff is really friendly and the food is delicious. The manager Michael is an Angel. Very customer centric and takes care of his patrons. It you're flight is delayed at SFO airport you cheouls visit This place.“
“this is definitely the neighborhood bar, it's small and intimate and feels very locals only. no tourists or even people from too far having a drink here. there's a pool table and a jukebox. the prices are fair and service is pretty quick. clientele is pretty varied which keeps things interesting.“
“Excellent food and very authentic. I lived in Ireland for a number of years and thoroughly enjoyed the full Irish fry for brunch. They even had Barry’s tea (I used to be more of a Lyon’s Gold Blend but Barry’s is my close second). Lovely.I went another evening and had the lamb riblets. GORGEOUS! I watched the barman pour a few Guinness. I normally don’t order Guinness in America but the barman poured a proper pint and there was plenty of Guinness flowing. Best pint of Guinness I’ve had in ages. I’ll be back!“
“Can't beat Kendo's karaoke list here on Wednesdays and when I say list well pretty much any song you can think of just put it in and mark my words he's got it. The crowd is great too. They had free popcorn last time I was there . The crowd again super great. They have an indoors and then an indoors that looks like your outdoor too. It's like this big patio area but you're kinda still inside. They have great parking too. I choose to park down the street but just saying they have a parking lot .“
“Great spot with surprisingly delicious food. The pretzel is excellent, and I love that they serve it with a nice spicy house made mustard. I've been twice and gotten the slushy both times, which have been delish. My girlfriend likes the corn dog, although it could use a thicker batter. Recently I tried the Bacon Beef burger (aioli, onion jam, wild arugula, gruyere) which was scrumptious. Cooked to perfection with the right amount of sauce and toppings (two nice slices of bacon that were perfectly cooked). Pretty decent prices for the serving sizes (burger comes with fries and a pickle). The staff are friendly and there's lots of seating both inside and outside.“
“Good for happy hour, cozy and not crowded on a weekday for co-worker meetup. Menu isn't huge though, and salad wasn't very exciting, small, but my friends who got burgers and other less health-conscious items were happy. I appreciate the ease of parking, small shopping area right across from Safeway, and easy access off of the 92/280 junction. Good adult hangout, not for kids, dark inside.“
“I've lived in the area for three decades, (South Bay, East Bay & the Peninsula) but only recently discovered the historic 7 Mile House and can't wait to return. In fact, I'm headed there right after I post this ;.) I walked in on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch / early dinner to-go and sat at the bar with affable locals who all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was warmly welcomed by the bartender; cocktail service was swift and with a friendly smile. Their mouth-watering menu offers much to choose from. After some deliberation, I selected their pulled pork adobo sandwich with a "side" salad which was an enormous serving of fresh field greens (entree size) along with the gigantic, succulent sandwich which DID NOT disappoint. The meat was tender and smokey, and their adobo is what I'm going back for today ! There was plenty to feed at least two people or one hungry woman with a half sandwich left over for lunch the following day. See you at the Seven ! I've gotta go ~ photos next time . . .“
“My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night to watch football. We heard great things about this place so decided to check it out for ourselves. We walked in and the place very spacious. Not too busy, so we were able to grab a table and they had all the big games playing. The guys behind the bar - Glen and Jay - were awesome!! Very attentive and friendly. While we were there we ordered food from "The Hidden Spot", which is located all the way in the back of the bar. The two spots are not connected so you'll need to pay separately. We heard so many good things about their wings and they were delicious. $10 for 5 wings or $18 for 10. We wanted to try a couple different flavors and they were both really good. The place has a chill vibe, no frills, just a fun neighborhood bar. We had a great time and will definitely be back again.“
“Bucky''s is a great bar that serves reasonably priced drinks. I usually go a couple Tuesday nights a month and enjoy the service there from Meagen. Bucky's also has an back patio that's great if you want to enjoy your drink with some fresh air. If you are looking for a low key atmosphere and a good time, Bucky's could be the right spot for you.“
“I don't want this turning into some crazy hot spot, but you should go there! Amazing sandwiches and other bites, a pool table in better shape than at least the nearest 5, AND just a good low key vibe that's makes for an awesome brunch!Vegetarian options: Enough choices and options you'll find food there I'm sureDietary restrictions: Enough choices and options you'll find food there I'm sureWheelchair accessibility: Typical front door access and ada bathroom“
“Very chill spot for some really good wings. The wings melt right off the bone and there's lots of great sauces to choose from. My favorite is the buffalo sauce, it has a good tang and spice to it. Second favorite is also the mango habanero which I've noticed has a varied spice level from the 2 times I've tried it. Lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan were okay flavors. The beers/ciders/sours are from local places around the bay which is cool too and they taste great. 5 wings I think is the right amount to fill you up.“
“My favorite bar from comedy night , dj's , to hanging out with my neighbors this dive bar exceeds expectations . The staff always remembers my name and is welcoming / engaging in conversation .... a true gem in regards to service. The Ave is and will always be the best bar around and a place that I call home.“
“My husband and I met at Blackthorn at Blackthorn 8 years ago. I've had many happy memories including new years, world cups, and other great moments in my life. It would be detrimental to the SF community if this bar closed, and I WILL NOT come back if a new bar opens. McGrath, do the right thing and let Blackthorn have that space!!!!“
“Great place. Very low key which is what I like as opposed to loud with obnoxious drunks. He keeps those guys (and occasional girls) out. Bartender/owner Justin is a great guy. I see other reviews saying he only pays attention to friends. Simply not true. There's a saying, close mouths don't get fed and this is no exception. If you ask or wave him down, you will get served. He's not just gonna stare at you till you finish your drink like people want. He will walk up and down the bar to make sure you're good or if you need anything then go and resume conversation with customers whether it be friends, regulars or newbies like I was. Has been my go to place for a month and a half now and am saddened that I was in the area temporarily and won't be in as often. Do yourself a favor and hit this bar up. Quieter than most bars but great selection and plenty of food in the area!! Some of the regulars are great too. Not territorial like other regulars in other bars. Made me feel welcome as hell there. Go play pool with those guys. Lots of fun. Thanks a lot Justin. You are the man!“
“Place totally exceeded expectations. Peruvian classics with killer sazon, standout dishes were the Vaca Frita and Lomo Mar y Tierra. The ceviches and wings were also both very nicely executed. Pretty good portions at overall reasonable price point. The place is set up with a DJ/live band for dancing on weekends, is a good option for salsa/bachata but the ambience can vary depending on the night. Definitely recommend this gem hidden in plain sight!“
“My new favorite dive bar in the city. A great blues band was playing the night we went and the atmosphere was fun and full of happiness. Excellent and creative cocktails (the Bee's Knees and the ginger cocktail are very much recommended). Service was exceptional, we'll be definitely coming back! Love this place, A+++Parking: best to get here via ride share because parking is extremely difficult to find.“
“Great sports bar with the best buffalo wings in SF! Only removing one star because the prices have increased a lot. The main issue is there's been multiple times only one dude is there to serve a full bar -during a game- which can mean up to a 30min wait for a drink (even if it's your first and just a beer). He's great, but the risk of that definitely keeps me from going pretty often. It's always a good time after you get a drink though :)“
“I decided to stop by this local sports bar. Fairly empty when I came in. Packed by the time I left. Good menu selections. Weekend breakfast options. They even offer mystery shots. I had the steak and eggs. The bartender/server Freddie was super nice and attentive. Prices are on point. Especially for the location. Food was ok. Nothing extremely special but the customer service was superb!“
“I forgot to get the name of the woman who was working tonight (2/3/24) but she was amazing!!! She was not only attentive but she was kind and we had great conversations… moving out of the area and wish I had come here sooner but hope to come back here someday because of this bartender!“
“The dubliner is a very nice neighborhood bar. The bartenders are very friendly and nice. The crowd are mostly just locals. Friendly vibes. I've had nice chats with some of them. I've been to a couple trivia nights and was lucky to win one. I try to stop by if I'm in the neighborhood. You should too.“
“Awesome service, neighborhood friendly place to watch the game. Really nice bartender, Betty there made my NY Eve super lovely as well. I went in the first time, forgot my phone, came back and immediately greeted by Betty. She made an awesome cosmo drink perfect for pictures. Pink is my favorite color as I am aka babysoftpink for my online broadcast. Clean no stickiness on table. Easygoing , nice crowd there. I sat on the side to post for my pictures and felt totally comfortable, everyone was having lots of fun to prep for the new year so if you need some family vibe of happiness, this is the spot. I saw the pool table and there were pathway to the backyard for smokes, dog runaround and business etc. Not your typical Irish pub is also situated to a certain four-stars seafood restaurant if you are hungry before or after! My UberEats super store for dim sum is also nearby. Plenty of street parking outside. I saw two both times I stopped by this afternoon. I recommend giving them a try if you like mellow, parkside vibe, neighbors friendly pub. Betty knows how to entertain and uplifts the crowd too if you need some positivity!“
“My partner and friends been coming here since they opened. Claudio, Patrick and the whole staff are super friendly and welcoming. We always have a great time here, the alcohol selection is amazing. We also tried the food a handful of time and it's super yummy. They have the games on TV on game days, pool table in the back. This is just what this neighborhood needs.“
“All the bartenders are chill here. Drinks are a good value they make them good also. Music is always good and if it's not download the app to the jukebox and you can play your own music. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Definitely friendly local neighborhood bar. Check them out. Mellow vibe most of the time“
“Great old school food & service that's yummy & dog friendly. I'm a SF native that lives on the Peninsula. Always a special treat to stop here for a true SF experience. Fun bar adds to the cool vibe with fun & friendly bartenders!“
“Have hosted several events here and it never disappoints. Love coming here late night for black light bowling and dance music. The bar inside the bowling alley has great non-alcoholic options and the parking lot usually has a spot or two open.“
“Tadka is a great place for dine in though ur not looking at ambience like the Amber Cafe but certainly its better than Shalimar. 1. I ordered Kadhai Paneer Spicy and it was very tasty and spicy 2. The garlic naan was huge and lot of butter and distinct taste of garlic 3. Mango Lassi was great too 4. They also gave me onion lemon and chillies when I requested the same 5. Would have loved complimentary papad and pickle 6. Would also have loved if they kept fennel seeds for after food at the counter 7. If you are cricket fan, IPL highlights was on when I went“
“So, the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that their hours tend to fluctuate based on whenever they want to open. Since I tend to walk around the neighborhood if I get there and your closed one day and we're open that time the day before, you should be open again. Other than that, great place for a drink in the neighborhood. Good food nearby, and it doesnt seem like they mind if you bring it in, dont hold.me.to that though.“
“Loved this food! First visit, just happened to see it after leaving the airport. The food was delicious and plentiful, served on a large platter. I ordered a combo with tamale, tostada, and enchilada. It came with beans and rice too. My husband got steak and chili relleno. Every bite was good, even the leftovers the next day. I will make this a stop when in the city.“
