I took one bite, was unsure so took a second. That was all it took to decide I did not care for the gravy. They removed them from my bill but left me with a unsatisfied craving for real biscuits and gravy. Everything else was great.“

It might seem extreme to give three stars for food based primarily on the chicken alone, but I do feel that chicken is such a foundational/cornerstone dish for a restaurant, the chef should feel compelled to put out the best possible version they can. It was dry, the skin wasn't crisp enough, and it was accompanied by a crouton, chicory, and fennel salad that was very tart and one dimensional, totally missing balance (I think it needed some currants or golden raisins--SOME spec of sweetness to offset the VERY bitter chicories and the lemon vinaigrette). All five of us who ordered the chicken left half the food on our plate--and we're hearty guys who love to eat. Please, take a critical look at this dish. When we went, there was only one person working so be prepared to wait but I promise that it's worth it. I will say next time I'll probably go with a regular scoop because I feel like I got less ice cream than my girlfriend who didn't get the bun. The bun however, was very flavorful and wasn't too thick, which I appreciated. Also if you get a bun, it does melt and get messy which is to be expected so be prepared for that. I do wish they had a slightly larger selection. I love stouts and was disappointed to see they did not have any stouts on their menu. Seems like they do rotate their beers often so will be back! The vegetable Momos and kale chaat were particularly outstanding, with their flavors and textures blending perfectly. They were definitely the highlights of the meal. I also tried the vegetable tofu chowmein, which was decent but didn't quite match the excellence of the Momos and kale chaat. However, the restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, which is impressive. We were just visiting the area after returning from a cruise and decided to try it. We enjoyed wine and appetizers of bruschetta, meatballs, Caesar salad, and beef carpaccio. Our main courses were Pappardelle with vodka sauce and Clams linguine with red sauce. We topped the evening off with a cannoli and limoncello and mascarpone cake with creamy lattes. Luisa was there watching that we got the best possible service. You owe to yourself to try this place at least once, but you'll probably return again and again.“

Pesto and fonduta were rich, the chanterelles adds needed textural and flavor contrast. Pizza with fungi was solid but I'd recommend the margherita next time for more contrast with the acid of the tomatoes. The crust is really good here, nice chew, solid base with a little droop. The fungi pizza was just a little one note with the richness from the cheese and a little savoriness from the mushrooms, missing some acid for freshness for balance.Market price on the 1lbs roasted snapper (other option was sea bream) was $42. Nice firm flesh and they remove the central bone in advance. The preserved Meyer lemon on the side was only ok, the parsley sauce was better, the grilled scallions quite good. We picked the cabbage with bagna cauda for our side - great execution/char on the cabbage, the sauce was savory without tasting fishy at all with some crouton/crispy breadcrumbs for contrast. Highly recommend the cabbage.Buttermilk panna cotta nailed the texture but my table mates commented that it just felt like Greek yogurt given the tang and that's fair. It's hard to get the passion fruit on the spoon so it's a bit of a waste. For the brown butter gelato and blood orange sorbet to, the gelato was better imo, more depth of flavor, quite dense, but it overall tasted more milky like a fior di latte with just a touch of nutty brown butter at the end. I wonder if they add more milk solids to the butter to bump that up. Blood orange could have been more orange-y, get some oil extraction of the peels or something.“

There is a public parking lot just a couple hundred feet to the left of the restaurant. Parking is only free on Sundays. We went on a Sunday night for dinner and the place was almost full. I tried their mushroom soup which was thick and had a strong mushroom flavor that was really flavorful, creamy and not salty. Their cup is really a bowl. Very generous serving. I ordered their mushroom ravioli with truffle sauce. The ravioli was all dente and the mushroom truffle sauce was very good. We also ordered their bruschetta which had several different variations. Probably the best bruschetta that I have tried. With so many people in the restaurant, it was quite loud. And having a conversation with your party you will need to raise you voice to be heard.Most entrees were in the $20-$27 range. This is definitely a family friendly place.
