“Came here for a quick stop after being picked up by my boyfriend from the airport!
Good:
- The banchan had a lot of variety
- The portion size was huge for my tkebboki dish!
- Hearty tofu stew and good amount of ingredients inside
- Nice vibe for a casual catchup and overall pretty typical service - nice staff
Bad:
- Casual diner, nothing too fancy!
Overall enjoyed my experience here but might not come again as it didn't blow my mind.”
“Love this place. They take really good care of my deafblind father who also loves their food. It's common to have the same people providing great service on every visit.”
“Fast, friendly service. Good for families with kids. Everything we tried was delicious! The Tandoori Fish was a standout. Moist, charred, spicy… Amazing! All their food is halal. They have vegan options as well. There’s something for everyone. We’ll definitely be back!”

“I’ve been on the hunt for a new go-to sushi spot since my favorite one in Burlingame closed down (RIP). This is currently top of my list for when I’m in town with colleagues. Great service and ample parking. Easy to get to and plenty of delicious items on the menu. Good variety of sake as well.”
“The best sushi place in SF…I am a sushi lover. The fish there are so fresh and the Uni are premium. From the sashimi to the Kobe beef, everything is top. Their pricing is also very reasonable. Eric and Phoebe are very nice and provide excellent service.”

“I have been visiting by the shop for couple years. The owner is very nice and the sugarcane juice is fresh and delicious. You order using a large self service screen. You can have original sugarcane or add flavor. You can order small, large, 1/2 or one gallon I usually add calamansi yesterday I tried pink or sea salt and it was good. It is like plum.”

“first time trying this cute little spot, only ordered tacos and would definitely come back.
- tongue ( tender and soft, not too gamey)
- shrimp ( my favourite, ordered 3)
- al pastor ( also got 3, delicious)
- carnitas
- asada
You would not regret ordering them as “taco especial” (guac, sour cream, and cheese) if you can.
I love their chips & their self serve sauce corner.”
“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!”

“Was in San Bruno on a Thursday evening and we ordered take out but wanted to hang out more so I looked up any bars or dive bars around. I called and asked if we can bring in outside food and I think the Irish Owner answered and he said yeah sure you can bring whatever you like. So we brought out Korean fried chicken close to around 9pm and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves in the beginning. He let us turn the lights on by the table and Christmas tree and we started with beers to go with our Korean fried chicken. And we later ordered shots. It looks like they have usuals that go there. They have a pool table and play pretty good music and it wasn’t so loud. There weren’t any other places open around it and it felt really safe, there was street parking right out front. So the best of both worlds to catch up and grab a drink with friends, plus for being able to bring outside food. The owner worker was so friendly and inviting.”

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out). The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will be back.”

“Who doesn't love pie. Maybe the pied piper
Cream pie ? . Just not in the morning . No sugar in the morning unless Sharis is giving away free pie. Atmosphere is dennys except more pie. If you wanna say sorry after a lie don't go empty handed bring them a pie. If you always tell the truth then buy a pie and shave it in your face cuz your lying”
“Love their service and their sashimi and sushi. Very good and !”

“Good food; hand pulled and knife cut 手扯面 刀削面 noodle are not common and very impressive to have it - they are order to made fresh.
It’s a bit strange that they won’t allow me to eat here even though I arrived way before closing time (I arrive 2:20 and they close 3:00) … one star off from that”
“Family run spot in San Bruno. Located on El Camino Real, it's easy to miss if you drive by.
The restaurant itself isn't too large, but there's seating for groups of all sizes. The menu is pretty extensive and has a good variety. We ended up getting a sashimi combo, one roll, and the lamb appetizer.
The sashimi itself was pretty tasty with no fishy smell. We got a good variety of sashimi, but my favorite was the salmon. The lamb was delicious as well and we're a good size.
Service is good and the staff is nice. We got our drinks refilled often without us asking.”
“Good taco salads here in their San Bruno location. It was $11.29 + $2.49 for the added steak. That crispy flicky taco shell revivals the best of them. Free chips! If you want to mix it up, their mango salsa is a very unique La Salsa thing. They tend to get rid of the mango salsa during the holiday season though. Plenty of seats and service was excellent for a counter ordering restaurant. The cashier is also the chef.
About La Salsa, I used to visit their SF Battery St. location near my office in the 2000's before they closed. Also previously in the 2000's, I used to visit their Mountain View location every other Saturday before going to Fry's Electronics. Their food is healthy if you order the right things.”
“This restaurant has very good food all around. The tadyang was crispy but moist. Their bangus sisig was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t dry. They even serve a little bit of soup to start and whet your appetite. The service was also very attentive. We’ll be back to try more.”
“WOW, this place is a hidden gem! Casual mom-and-pop atmosphere and decor, affordable prices and HUGE portions! The bbq pork vermicelli bowl is phenomenal, they sauté the usual crushed peanut topping in garlic and sprinkle on fried crumbs from their egg rolls, it's delicious! Also, the egg rolls are homemade and twice as big as the standard finger-sized one is you get elsewhere. We are definitely coming back.”
“Best pizza ever! I’ve been eating totos for 50 years! In my opinion it’s THE BEST!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Phil Taylor is a wonderful Host. He cordially welcomes songwriters from all over the globe to perform songs in the round style. It’s a great way to share one’s music and meet other like minded folks. I had a wonderful time 1/7/23. Looking forward to a future opportunity to perform my music. I definitely recommend this group.”
“Very delicious ? mouth watering yummy pizza!! ? we pumped gas and saw this little restaurant across the street and decided to stop by since the reviews were amazing and it was so worth it, the restaurant was clean and the customer service was on point! And the buffalo chicken and bacon pizza was fire ? must try if in the area.”
“Sesame chicken was the best in town and very large portions. What sucks is the parking?
Parking: Parking sucks on the street. You have to pay or you’re get a ticket. There’s no free parking only at Starbucks for 10 minutes but everywhere else you have to pay. It’s a big mess for San Bruno.”
“The young lady that served me was very good. I definitely enjoyed the spinach mushroom omelette. I’m not sure if it’s because this IHOP was on the West Coast in San Mateo, but they definitely did not skimp on the mushrooms, spinach, and hollandaise sauce. Also, the breakfast potatoes were very crispy without being burnt.”
“Spouse and I go every week! The atmosphere is nice. We get excellent service! The food is always delicious and the location is very clean. Nice staff that remembers your order from the previous time so they know what we like 👍”

“Came to try this place after noticing it while ordering Korean Fried Chicken next door. It's in the strip mall next to 280 on San Bruno Ave. Place is huge, a little dark, and I haven't seen it being crowded ever. Do note that they are closed on Sunday which is really weird for most Asian restaurant.
The food is decent but nothing special. Don't think the soup is from actual bone soup but with the price I don't expect them to. They however gives you a lot of meat for the price. I feel like I got a decent deal. Service is also good. You do have to pay at the counter.”
“Recommended by a friend and I tried this place just now, and IT’S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: the foods’ freshness/portion-wise worth it/prices are reasonable!!! Authentic Chinese Cuisine.
(Take note the name of the place outside will say: Ichi Ramen [former restaurant’s name])
Try this place.”
“The food here is delicious. Maybe the best around! The shrimp tostadas are my favorite. The pupusas are probably the best I’ve ever had. I love that they make all of the tortillas fresh, and by hand, right in-front of you. All of their meals are very filling and flavorful. The servers are really friendly also. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something very tasty.”
“Great Sunset neighborhood Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Friendly service. Accommodates my spice shy palate. Recently introduced thali lunch boxes perfect for single diners. Reasonable prices.”
“Pros: Fresh and good food. friendly staff, very affordable Cons: Hard to find a place to park in that part of town.”

“Excellent food served by volunteers who are part of this wonderful monastery. This is a nonprofit organization. You can also go in and meditate. The food is delicious. The volunteers are kind and helpful. They accept Venmo or cash donations for the food. Outdoor seating available. Extensive menu. Pork and Thai coffee was delicious!!!”
“Only got their popcorn chicken for a mid-afternoon snack. Nicely fried and good flavor. It comes without any chili powder so you can adjust yourself. The store space itself is kind of sad - very barebones and a little iffy on cleanliness. Would come back for more fried chicken if the craving hit.”
“Honey milk tea w/ mini boba & mango popping boba (left), Rose milk tea w/ mini boba (right) and sweet potato fries. Loved both drinks! This has been my go to place for boba drinks but for the fried snack options, I wish they were less greasy.Highly recommend the additional topping of mango popping boba for a fun little kick to the drink. They also have the option for a strawberry popping boba.”
“Ricopan impresses with more than its delectable pastries; it stands out for its remarkable community engagement. Each visit feels like a warm embrace, highlighting Rico’s role not just as a bakery but as a community pillar. Their commitment to giving back is evident, making every bite of their exquisite desserts feel even sweeter. Ricopan is truly a beacon of both culinary mastery and community spirit.”
“Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for the affordable price! Ordered the shrimp bento with an additional topping of teritaki chicken. The meal was. So tasty, I didn't need to add any additional condiments to elevate the flavor.
Indeed, the teriyaki chicken was very well prepared. Shrimps were tiny but very tasty. And the accompanying dragon roll and fried gyoza was worth every bite!”
“Only had the pizza, wings, beef lamb wrap and fries so far the few times I was at Tanforan. Fries were decent, wings were good (not dry), pizza was great (love thin crust), and the meat in the wrap was good, not dry and the wrap was very filling and wrapped tight. Overall I’ll give 5/5, and the staff was very nice as well. Will come back again if I gotta pick up another game or watch movie”
“Staff was attentive and helpful and the items we ordered were all delicious”
“The charcoal grills are a new experience for me. It was awesome! Food was delicious! Service was great! My only complaint would be for the ventilation to be better/stronger. I know to expect to smell like KBBQ after, but I think ventilation can be improved.”
“Wasn't sure what to expect but those were some really good seafood garlic noodles.
edit 2/12: I went again because I was craving the seafood garlic noodles so much. the side veg dishes smothered in garlic butter are also really good.”
“Please open a location in Southern California!
Filipino is my comfort food and this was comfort to the max. I dined here with family and we enjoyed the food and venue. Our servers were very attentive and refilled our water and rice without our asking. I ordered the kari kari with crispy pork belly and it was an experience nearly identical to that of the moment the Ratatouille food critic had when he bit into the bite of Remy's ratatouille dish.
The only bit of constructive feedback I had was that I wish the tables had lazy susans. My family and I ordered several different dishes and it was a workout passing serving dishes around and/or reaching across the table. Other than that, everything was a delight.
I'm excited to come back next time I'm in the bay area!”
“We’ve both dined in and done takeout couple times, and every time the food has been absolutely delicious! Super flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. It’s family-owned and you can really feel the care in both the food and service. It’s one of our favorite places now !”
