“Best Lumpia in town! Must Try! Spencer does an amazing job merging a family staple with new & tasty creations. The Lola's lumpia, Calamansi wings, pancit and peach cobbler lumpia (Wow!) were all 5 stars. Can't wait to come back for dinner.“
“Great atmosphere, very close to balboa park! This place offers free cold brew if you purchase some of their bags of coffee beans or grounds which is very nice! They also have cold brew growlers to go. The main downside is sometimes parking can be hard to find nearby but definitely available within a block or two and then the noise from the planes going overhead. There’s also a quaint courtyard to enjoy your coffee outside that I don’t have photos of, we’ll definitely be stopping here more frequently in the future on our way home from the park!“
“Need some authentic Filipino food in your life?!? This is the place to be. It's your hole in the wall, filipino Kuya cooking in the back with your Titas serving the front. Come on in! It's friendly service with DELICIOUS food. You know the worst kinda Filipino food customer? ME! I'm a Filipino food snob. Don't get me wrong I AM 100% Filipino however, I can cook my own food. So for me to leave you a review 1) food better be on point 2) that price better be somewhere I can send my Lola, Tita, or Nanay to. Just saying. My tongue ain't broken and my wallet is cheap lol. So here it is your local food stop if you're at UCSD and you missing food from home. Or you're into Filipino food but you're on a budget; seriously you're gonna thank me! Sisig was the perfect amount of spice and sourness, Caldereta slices were tender and full of flavor not that hard beef cheap places try, AND the pancit...FLAVORFUL, not dry or missing any seasonings! I even looked for my mom in the back cause it tastes just like hers They also cater, so you got parties but don't have all night to cook for your party through the night into the next day like we used to old school?!? Well give this place a call, have them make you lumpia, pancit, sisig or whatever you need. As if this review didn't make you hungry already. Here's what I had today. Sisig, pancit, and Caldereta. Come by, trust me you, your wallet, and your Titas are gonna thank me!“
“Fredcel's is bomb. Takeout only and cash just heads up. Parking can be terrible but the food is worth it. The lumpia is amazing and I've never had anything I didn't like. They used to have blood soup which was sooo good but it's never around anymore. Super friendly people and you're in and out real quick.“
“The food is absolutely amazing here. Of course, when you don't have an idea of what to eat, you can think of Oi Asian Fusion. It has a lick of filipino essence to it, much suited to taste of everyone's palate. The bowl I got for takeout was the Adobo Bowl. It is BOMB! The gravy is oh so mouth watering, and the pork belly just melts in your mouth. The rice was fluffy and slathered with the sauce so every single bite was super flavorful. And the soft boiled eggs just seals the meal. The service is super efficient and fast so getting the food was a breeze. Highly recommend getting the Adobo bowl if it's your first time.“
“Very good Asian inspired bowls. The pork belly bowl with rice was good and the umami gravy on top was delicious. I got delivery and the bowl was still fresh and hot. I'll definitely be ordering from here again.Update: the chicken karaage bowl wasn't that good after sitting for a while but I bet it's good when it's fresh and crisp at the restaurant“
“I just love Nanays BBQ. The name and ownership has changed throughout the years but their food has stayed the same. They were the first one to introduce me to Filipino barbecue and now I'm hooked. I come here once every 2 weeks to get my Filipino barbecue cravings. The food here is always fresh and delicious. My favorites would be the lechon, longanisa, and all the Filipino barbecue. Whether it's a combo or meet by the pound they always give you generous portions here. The staff here is very nice and love to tell you about the food. I hope to one day try everything on the menu but for now I'm slowly checking everything off the list. This is a takeout spot so either you can take it home or there are tables in the food court. Parking is plentiful but can get busy at times.“
“Cute little coffee shop with a solid outdoor vibe. We typically stop here at the end of the farmer's market. Folks are friendly but a little standoff-ish at first. Probably due to the wandering crazy folks that wander around the 'hood. But it's a cute little joint on the corner of the building.“
“great food & great service! prices are great & reasonable...food is fresh & very tasty! these guys always take care of me at every visit! this place is my go to when i get the filipino food crave! alot of parking...alot of seating! love love this place!“
“I'm so happy I was able to try this place out. I ordered before sitting at the bar, and I was so excited to finally try someone else's sinigang wings. (I've tried to make it three times now.) The wings definitely didn't disappoint. I ordered garlic rice with it and pandesal, and it was a beautiful combination. I also loved that I was able to get calamansi juice. So delicious.“
“We called ahead of time to make certain they would still be open at 7:30. They said yes so we came to try it out.We had the grilled daing bangus . It is a grilled milkfish with a mango salsa. It was wonderful! We also tried some sushi. They are not a sushi restaurant.“
“The negative reviews for this place are totally not justified. They have fantastic pork rice bowls, from their pork adobo to the lechon. No matter what dish, the pork is juicy and fatty, and delicious when mixed into accompanying sauces, rice and egg. This is easily one of the best restaurants in this morena area, so do not sleep on this if you like Filipino food. If you like drippingly fatty pork meat, get the sisilog or lechon. If you like less fat, get the adobo! I think there were some issues on the soft opening mentioned in other reviews (lumpia issues? Wait times?) that have since resolved. We've had no issues with service, speed and accuracy of our orders in the four or five times we've stopped by for lunch. Please give them a try!“
“It's a hidden gem. It's a mom and pop shop, it's absolutely delicious! My friend was telling me about this location and I decided to go before they close. I got some of the noodles, sausages, bread and beef as well as two canned sodas (I don't know the exact name of some of the dishes because I kind of just took whatever they had left) such great portions and I will 100% be back so I can see what else they have. I spent less than $40“
“This is my favorite place to go when I miss my childhood. The food is yummy. Tastes just like home.My favorite thing to order is the karekare with rice. The portion is large, this can easily be shared or split into two meals. The silog is also good. I always get longsilog, because it reminds me of childhood.Every time I go I also get cantaloupe juice!I've had their pan de sal and desserts as well. Best pan de sal in the area in my opinion. The flan is also very good and flavorful!“
“10/10 would recommend!! It was my first time to this part of Liberty Station and as soon as I saw this Filipino restaurant, I knew this was the one!!Great selection to pick from, I went with the pork adobo bowl. Good portion sizing, not too much and not too little. The pork was cooked perfectly and was super easy to bite into.Never doubt the flavor here ever!“
“Very Pinoy and very close to Pinoy flavor. They are worth the long walk I did from the hotel I am staying at (close to San Ysidro) to here.If only they are open all the time (my job is rather erratic which is why there are times when I am here but they are closed)“
