“Campechana is fresh and tasty. Onions, avocados, cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, mixing with shrimps, octopus, and scallops, I can enjoy every bite of different ingredients from each spoonful. Color likes Frida's painting, rich and bright, and brings a desire from your taste buds. Quesa Burris Taco is also a wonderful dish, though oily. Taken a waitress suggestion, ordered the one with cheese. The cheese smoothes the sharpness from short rib seasonings and juiciness. Overall, it is a wonderful experience of Mexicana cuisine.“
“There is a taqueria outside the place. Then you can have a chela, while listening to the debralle. In addition to being able to taste a delicious suadero taco, with golden tripe with delicious nopales and Federal District style onions. The closest thing to Mexico in Califas.“
“Crystal is an amazing bartender, the drinks are absolutely to die for. The creativity she expresses in her cocktails is truly beautiful! I had a pink guava lemon drop (syrup made in house, as all of them are) and it's a wonderful speakeasy to visit with a bigger space than you'd expect. I'd give this place a 15/10.“
“The food at this restaurant was very good, but the service was quite slow (delivery of water, drinks, napkins, take-away box, etc.). It was a bit frustrating to sit and wait while watching the waiter stand around and talk as we waited. Even so, the food was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time, and it was very tasty. The restaurant was unusually cold inside, and the seats are very hard. We had to eat with our jackets on, and we had to take seat cushions from other chairs when they became available. We might return to this restaurant in the future, but would hope for better service.“
“Delightful and much needed in this food wasteland. $$-$$$ but a Charcuterie Board, which is generous, at the bar is adequate to give a you a sense of the place and you want to make a full dinner commitment. Drink menu is creative as is the dinner menu. We sampled bit of every thing and our favorites were the beet salad and the scallops. The band was good but I would preferred sitting a little farther away for talking. Perfect place to break a sparkly dress!“
“Came here for a quick snack and drinks with the girls. Vibes are immaculate and the brussels sprouts were life changing. I promise they're way more appetizing than they look. We also tried the potato appetizer, which I would pass on. Still would recommend coming here though!“
“Very good smash type burger, meat is flavorful and cooked perfectly. Mama Hut is a delightful lady and so friendly. An excellent burger joint with cocktails and great selection of beers. What more can you ask for? In my top ten of hamburger places in San Diego “
“I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience dining at Ponto Lago last week. From our arrival at the valet with Tom who went above and beyond to walk us to the restaurant and give us recommendations at Park Hyatt, to our greeting from the hostess to our service from Saeid and Norma- everything was incredible. We ordered the- Guavarita which was a Tequila Cocktail with Guava Foam (the guava foam was SO good): $20- Seasonal Fruit Smash which was a Berry Mocktail: $14- Burrata Salad: I don’t remember the price but it was delicious- Local Blue Fin Crudo: I’m pregnant so I couldn’t taste this but my husband loved it- Tenderloin Steak with Chimichurri, Sweet Potatoes Side & Churros for DessertThe entire meal was absolutely delicious. The portions appeared small at first but they were so flavorful and with the various courses, it was actually the perfect amount. Each dish had a phenomenal presentation and we talked about the sweet potatoes and churros for days after- they were THAT good! We’re already looking forward to our next visit to the Park Hyatt Aviara and Ponto Lago. Hoping we get the same staff as they really enhanced our experience!Parking: Valet parking only in front of Park Hyatt Resort“
“This is an innovative gourmet taco shop with a lovely atmosphere, and a living-room like area with chairs and a sofas facing the bar. It is the sister restaurant of the Michelin-noted Lola 55 in downtown San Diego. Every taco is assempled with care, with some unusual pairings, and photo-ready. The margaritas are zesty and unique, with black salt (?) on the rim. And I had attentive service, including from the owner. I only wish they had more things on their menu, but have liked everything I have had.“
“We've been there several times now and have enjoyed the food and beverages every visit. The staff are friendly and competent, and it's always a fun (but messy) experience.Parking: Lots of parking. Never more than a two minute walk.“
“Today was the first time I try Torsap Thai kitchen! I went with my husband and my son for dinner. It was an excellent experience !!! We all were very happy with the whole experience. The restaurant is very clean and very nicely decorated !!!The food is amazing. We first shared a soup and a salad ( and yes, both were big enough to share for 3)They even bring you cups to share the soup. Then, we each had our own main dish!! Everything was sooo delicious !!!!The service is very good and fast . Our serverJeff was excellent too, friendly and always smiling !!!The prices are very reasonable !!!They even have lunch specials ( 3 course for 22$)I will definitely try that soon.Jeff even told us they have Tuesday all day happy hour!!!!Thumbs up, Torsap!!!“
“Best deep dish pizza we've ever had in the west coast. It was so delicious my partner got up to virally thank the chef and staff. The drinks were silicosis and strong. Seating was comfortable, clean, and the place is beautiful. I'm so glad we came in and truly cannot wait to return.“
“The food is great, ambiance is nice and service is excellent. It is very consistent. It's perfect for date night or family time on the patio. My husband and I really enjoy coming here and are never disappointed. We look forward to returning.“
“We've been eating at Uncle Tony's for many years and love it. During the "pandemic", aside from the great food, Uncle Tony's restaurant was an island of clarity surrounded by an ocean of insanity. The atmosphere is great and the background music is perfect. I'd say the lobster ravioli are amazing but then everything else on the menu is also. Family owned and operated, so you'll find Tony talking with customers from behind the bar or around a table.“
“We had dinner at Cocina De Barrio. The ambience is very lively and loud but one would expect that from most restaurants. What was not expected was the cuisine. I use the word cuisine because the food is amazing. The presentation and preparation remind me of some Michelin star restaurants I've been to in San Diego. The staff is very knowledgeable regarding all the menu items and the many bar offerings. The staff was also very attentive without being overbearing. I'm still thinking about the guacamole dip made at our table. I highly recommend eating here. I know we will be back soon.“
“This is such a fun place to try all kinds of deliciously flavored whiskeys! Everyone you will sample is out of this world! I can't wait to go back with my family! I purchased every flavor for my home bar so we can make some of their creative drinks at home too!“
“A beautiful bar area located inside the Park Hyatt Aviara. We stopped by here on two occasions during our stay, once for Japanese take-out, which was awesome, and once for an after-dinner coffee, tea, and a date at the Top Golf simulator. You have to check in at Pacific Point for the Top Golf experience fyi.In any event, this is a great, sophisticated spot to grab a drink or dinner at the bar. Pacific Point even had live music playing on a Tuesday night, which was very cool!“
“I go to Casero taqueria with my girlfriends every time we go to Carlsbad, the food is so fresh and so are the margaritas, they also have a variety of items in their menu, I highly recommend. I don’t know where the people who rated this place with 1 Star came from.“
“Sat outside. Dog friendly. Nice turf for my pooch to lay on. Wine list is limited but the red blend was decent for the price. Bouncers did good job on carding, some people in another group had to leave bc they didn't bring their ID. Cool hip vibe near the campground. Easy walk and nice place to hang outside with heaters. Service outside was prompt as soon as I sat down.“
“This place is SO good my friend and I are here for the fourth time in the past two weeks ha! Seriously, the drinks are delicious and perfectly strong, the food is 10/10. I recommend the carnitas taco it is SO DAMN GOOD! They add crumbled chicharrón that takes it over the top. When in Encinitas give DBT a try you won't regret. Bonus - staff is awesome!!!“
“There's plenty of free parking and the restaurant interior reminds me of some type of tex mex restaurant that's slightly dated.I've been here a few times and it's pretty solid. We always get the fried pickle chips. The chipotle aioli dip what elevates this appetizer.I was hesitant about getting the mole because I've been spoiled when I went to Oaxaca. Since then, I've had a tough time finding a restaurant that had great mole. I asked the server if I could have a sample of their mole and they were super kind to oblige. It wasn't at the Oaxaca level but it was one of the better mole I've had (I've had quite a few and some were so bad I couldn't even finish it). The chicken mole enchiladas were great and it came with a side of beans and rice, which made the meal feel complete. It was very filling and I took half of it home to go.I'm not going to lie but the leftovers after they were reheated tasted even better. I don't know if it's because the food had time to marinate in the flavors but I was so happy.I recommend going during their happy hour, they have amazing deals!“
“I really enjoyed the whole experience of this place. There are terrific vibes that make this place well worth the visit. While some of the reviews claim that this place is a dive bar, I would have to disagree. There is a pool table on one side of the bar and more seating on the other side. The beer was relatively cheap and though there wasn't food served at this bar, there was an employee that made some clam chowder in a crock pot. He gave me a bowl to try and I put some hot sause on it as that is what he recommended. From talking to a regular, he also cooks chili periodically.Overall, I really liked this bar and would visit again if ever in the neighborhood.“
“We went toBellay's Restaurant on Prime Rib Monday! Prime rib and all the trimmings was excellent. We had the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and they were outstanding. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate torte and was to die for!“
“Got the old town hot dog and it was by far one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. Super tasty with the right amount of spice. The beer was good. Great atmosphere. Service was okay. We had to go inside to grab utensils and napkins after our food was taken out. Overall tho, the food was worth it and we will definitely be coming again.“
“Appetizer Thai Fresh rolls with shrimp. The rice paper wrap was beautifully sticky just how it should be. Salad was fresh, cold & crisp. Unmistakable Thai basil flavor with crisp assorted veggies.Sauces were sweet thick, peanut heaven. Not too thick though. Just right. As an entree I had Panang Curry Chicken. Now let's talk about spice level. They offer 0-10 scale for spice level. I ordered my usual 3x so that would be 30. Yes THIRTY. After a certain level the great does not increase, but the flavour of the peppers shines through. The Panang sauce was a nice medium brown and the peppers add a tinge of floating red oil once the peppers release their goodness into the sauce. Green beans & bell peppers were crisp and delectible. I was so pleased I forgot to snap a picture of my entree. Sorry folks.Wait staff is pleasant, efficient and friendly. Decor is a little lacking in that Thai touch of elephant statues & paintings, gold accents, and pictures of the Homeland. But decor is near, clean, and effective for a smallish space.Overall a very enjoyable experience!!“
“Stopped by tower last Wednesday for lunch and was greeted by julia the nicest bartender ever. She let me sample a couple of the house beers before I decided on the tower ipa which for a house beer was very impressive. The place has a ton of tvs as well as a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was enjoyable and I definitely will return. Hope julia is working next time I pop in!“
“Parking can be a little challenging but with patience you’ll find a spot.Food was great! Service as well.It was a double date. We shared a large pizza and a the Apple walnut salad among the 4 of us. Salad not pictured we do outed it before I could take a picture. My husband also got the chicken Parmesan, with spaghetti. The bread they offer was dangerously good.“
“Another great night at the office ! The pool tables are the highlight along with immediate friendly welcome when I walked in. I love the decor of old sports memorabilia and the gorgeous painting of classic Encinitas surf spot Cardiff By the Sea !“
“I have a blast everytime I go there its a classic neighborhood dive bar, they have 3 nice pool tables, darts, and pinball. seems like most of the bartenders are really cool and they open at 6:00 a.m. which is always nice on the weekends when you need some of that hair of the dog that bit you !!“
“My husband and I had dinner on Valentine's Day there and we were surprised that It was a quiet night for this place - maybe people don't choose a sports bar for Valentine's Day but it was great choice for us. My husband had the ahi tuna and I had a half sandwich and delicious tomato soup. The margarita was excellent and so was the brownie dessert. We had wonderful service - no doubt because the place was practically empty. It was a lovely evening.“
“Hands down the best California burrito I have ever had. The meat is so tender and flavorful. You can tell it's super high-quality. The tater tots are a fun substitute for french fries and I actually like them better. My biggest complaint is the size of the burrito... I wish I had more!!! It is delicious. It's on the pricey side at $17 and with tax it's almost $20 for a burrito which seems/is outrageous but it is literally the best Cali burrito I've ever had.The salsa work, but the burrito is heavenly. Do yourself a favor and try one. It's definitely a special treat.“
“I came here for the first time by myself. When I walked in there was a few people waiting to be seated. The worker said 9 people ahead. They take a cell number and text you when a table is ready. They tried to seat me outside. They said 45 minutes wait inside or 30 minutes outside (“we have heaters on the patio”).So, I said I’ll wait to sit inside. They text me within 5-10 minutes. Table inside is ready.I get great service once I’m seated. The food was average. Average-Higher prices. I had a cheese enchilada which was bland. I had a chile relleno that was okay. The bean burrito was the best part. Even the nachos with cheese were better looking than tasting. The Ice cream scoop will satisfy a moderate sweet tooth craving.I’ve been blessed with authentic Mexican cuisine, and I would not say you will find that here. I’m just being honest. Average food. Great service. Good for a group / birthday party/ get together.“
“We were out and about and decided eating lunch OUT was appropriate. Hadn't done much of that since covid AND haven't been to Fish House Vera Cruz since before covid so made sense. We were not disappointed. Each Fish dish we chose was great, love choosing my sides. Was busy but not overcrowded. Will be back. Miss the store that was once near the front door.“
