“This is one of the best indian restaurants in all of Los Angeles. I am a huge foodie and have eaten at almost EVERY indian restaurant in LA. I am also Indian and eat indian food almost daily. So when i say this place is incredible, i have a LOT to compare it to. This food is so authentically delicious while not being over loaded with cream, butter and ghee. It isn’t heavy like all the other indian restaurants can be. You leave feeling satiated but not disgustingly full or gross. It’s the perfect balance of tasty without gluttonous. Every dish was phenomenal - vegetarian and the meat! All exceptional! 10/10 and will be back MANY more times!!!! My only regret was I found out about this place just now!!!“
“Simply incredible. This is one place I try to make detours to visit when I can, so I guess that's worth two Michelin Stars. Incredibly diverse menu, top tier ingredients, cooked perfectly; and it's not greasy so you can enjoy much more delicious pizza!“
“Amazing Central Asian fare! I’m from Russia and I’ve been craving some lagman for a while (which is commonly available in Russia), and luckily this truck opened up. The food was so good! I tried lagman and fatir shurpa - both were excellent. Can’t wait to come back to try the rest of their stuff. I saw some hesitant Americans wanting to try it. Just try it! Bonus - they serve the food in nice bowls and there are tables next to the truck.“
“Forget the other Brazilian place with the funny name. This place is clean, it has really good service, and they have really good selections of meat. They don't come out and bring you a bunch of drumsticks and sausages. They bring you prime cuts of meat, and the salad bar is awesome as well. I will be returning!!!“
“The best Moroccan restaurant. The chef and server (probably the owner too) are so nice. The mint tea was amazing, the pastilla is amazing, the lamb honey OMG.. the chocolate cake, probably the best chocolate mousse I’ve ever had.Fantastic restaurant, really amazing place. Bring your family or friend, imo this is one of the best place to celebrate everything.“
“We were looking for an authentic desi food, and loved it. The place or ambience is a fast food place one, more for a carry out orders. . We ordered Goat Paya curry, Goat biryani, Chicken biryani, naan, mango lassi( really tasty), and Mixed grill. The proportion size is great. Courtesy of the owner, Karim bhai was superb, served us complimentary Ras malai. Their chai is good too. They have fresh samosas too.Tomas at the front cashier counter is also a kind lady. Overall, great experience.Pricing is reasonable too.“
“I can't believe I haven't done a review of this place yet. They do a rotating menu that features different cuisines on a monthly basis. I think the first time I went, they had Fiijian food and the second time they had Haitian. Their classic menu includes Somalian, Egyptian, Kenyan. They hire immigrant chefs that highlight their cultures which I thought was pretty dang cool.I got their pita chips with Baba ghanoush. They deep fry their pita bread but also give unfried pita bread if you prefer. But their pita chips are SO GOOD. it's like... crunchy but also chewy. kind of the best of both worlds. I got a lamb stew one time. or was it goat... It came with rice and a giant lamb shank or something. Bone was still on... kinda cut open and the marrow was still inside! Hell yeah. It was full of flavor. Lots of spice to it but not spice-y. I'm thinking maybe it was the Egyptian smothered lamb shank now that I think about it. I remember also trying some of the sambusas. Deep fried triangles filled with spiced, amazing, piping hot goodness. I love that they allow you to mix and match whatever filling you want... unlike other restaurants that make you order them in batches of 3 or whatever.Service was great. We had THE Christian Davis serving us, bringing us all the plates, describing what everything was and how it was made. An extremely pleasant experience... all for a great cause.“
“Bomb shwarma spot! Highly recommended. The wraps are filled with meat and delicious veggies. The sauces are very tasty as well. The size of the wraps are big and could probably feed two people. They also have dumplings that looked really good which I will probably try next time I'm there. Add jalapeños, it gives the perfect spice to the wrap.“
“One of the best hot chicken joints in LA and iv tried them all, the chicken is so fresh, tender n juicy you just want more n more. Staff is very friendly, it's a family owned and operated business and you can tell they really care about the food and the service. If your lucky you'll run into the cutest little girl taking orders, literally made my night. Will be back soon!“
“I went to finally try this spot on a Thursday for $2 tenders. Ordered 2 cool (less than mild), 2 glow (mild), and 2 spark (medium). They all came out looking the same and once I tried it all, there wasn't much of a difference in spice level. I could've tried the next tier after Spark --- I think .The batter was great - loved the crunch and crispyness of it.I thought they would've been stingy about the $2 tenders but the size of the tenders were a good size.Staff was nice and efficient for a busy Thursday lunchtime. There's outdoor seating if you can't find a spot inside.“
“Incredible fried chicken spot that also served Korean popcorn chicken which is one of my favorite dishes for Korean fast food. Their chicken sandwiches are loaded and the seasoning is spot on. It is a no nonsense location and has free parking in the heart of ktown!“
“Doner Turco in North Hollywood is a hidden gem and offers a delightful ethnic food experience. I had the chicken wrap and it was an exceptional quality experience. The wrap combined perfectly cooked chicken gyro with fresh vegetables and savory sauces. The friendly and attentive staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a convenient and accessible choice for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant's cleanliness is noticeable, creating a new options for the locals and visitors. Highly recommended!“
“We have just discovered this place, it is really appreciable that it is halal and offers great flavors from Chinese and Thai cuisines. Especially try the Mongolian, Chow Mein, and Tom Yum Soup. The staff is friendly and the service is very fast“
“A casual no fuss place with great food, I stop here every few weeks to get my fix of authentic Burmese dishes. I usually get the tofu thoke and asone thoke plus a falooda or another dessert from their to-go shelves, everything tastes fresh and flavors are consistent each time. The portions are generous and reasonable prices too.“
“THE BEST PERSIAN FOOD in the convenience of Koreatown. I grew up having so much Persian food around me, especially in Westwood and Glendale, but so happy to have found this right in this neighborhood and its even better than what Ive had in those areas! The Koobideh was beyond juicy, tender and flavorful. The Kashk bademjan (eggplant dip), to die for. Plus the service was impeccable. Thank you!!“
“We love this place! Our family has been eating at, and enjoying, Moun of Tunis for many years. Ben, an amiable Tunisian, is still the owner and Paul, a very friendly and accommodating fellow, is still the principal server. The food quality is consistently excellent and the quantity of food served is mind-blowing, but the prices are still quite reasonable. It's a mystery to me how they do that. And the belly dancers are quite entertaining. Highly recommended!“
“We ordered chicken plate showerma.it was so delicious and I been looking for this for a while and my friend told about this place and I got the exact taste what u want and its gave me lots of memories while eating and I only got this taste when I ate the showerma in saudi..Thank you chef for the delicious showerma and very good service.i will highly recommend this place for the showerma lovers.“
“We arrived with a large group, the service was fast and very tasty! very friendly guys, thank you very much for these emotions! Feels like home <3We arrived with a large group, the service was fast and very tasty! very friendly guys, thank you very much for these emotions! Feels like home <3“
“Casual atmosphere, but the food in this place is as good as the best food available in Northern India. It's a hidden treasure created by a talented, caring, and creative Punjabi chef.We ordered bhindi masala, chicken korma, shrimp tandoori, yellow dal, plain basmati rice, garlic naan, and plain naan. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. You don't need to (and you won't want to) add anything to any dish (spicy peppers, pickles, salt, sauce), because the chef has thought of everything, and done everything exactly right. The bhindi (okra) is simply seasoned and has an earthy, smoky flavor, accompanied by other carefully chosen vegetables that enhance and don't overpower the bhindi. The chicken korma is tender and very tasty. The perfectly succulent shrimp tandoori is accompanied by delicious broccoli also cooked in the tandoor, and the dish arrives at your table still steaming. The yellow dal is especially delicious, as are the breads.Overall, a great and unexpected eating experience. Highly recommended.Parking: You can park in the parking spots reserved for the strip mall.“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Abiruchi Indian Restaurant is a culinary adventure that'll leave you feeling happier and fuller than Peter Griffin after a Thanksgiving feast! The lunch buffet from 11:30 AM to 2:45 PM for just $24.99, tip included, is an absolute steal.I practically waddled out of there after devouring four plates of their mouthwatering offerings. Those doughy, puffy tangerine-sized delights with the gravy-like dipping sauce are pure heaven for your taste buds.As if the food weren't entertaining enough, the content on the TVs had me researching if I should pack my bags and head to India to become an extra in a Bollywood movie. Abiruchi Indian Restaurant isn't just a place to eat—it's an experience you won't soon forget!Parking: Parking lot in the back of the building!“
“Al’s has been my favorite restaurant in LA since the day they opened!! I lived around the corner for years. I still come back regularly and consider the staff family. Sedra, Reabal and Pops ?? Best hot chicken sandwich in LA. Hands down. Prove me wrong… ??♂️? I put so many of my homies onto this place. Don’t forget your honey sauce. Fr“
“So, they forgot the hummus in my to-go order, but they still get 5 stars because everything was still delicious. I got the #3, chicken and steak combo. I'm use to steak kabobs being really tough to chew, but this meat was tender, juicy, and had great flavor. Salad and rice tasted fresh. There was a small complimentary container of lentil soup that was so good I may need to return and get a large bowl. Lastly, as a proud lemonade fan and addict, the cucumber lemonade was very good.“
“If you've been disappointed in the quality of underwhelming hot chicken places that have proliferated in recent years, this place is worthy of your patronage. Freshness, flavor, texture, juiciness--they check all the boxes. Anyone who considers themselves a connoisseur of hot chicken is doing themselves a disservice if they don't check this place out.“
“Went here for a late night dinner after a delayed flight, and absolutely loved the pizza. Since it has a build your own option, jain options are possible. We did Build our own pizza, and it was great. The dough texture, cheese, amount of toppings, sauce flavor, everything was great. The quantity was also really good. Recommend ?“
“This marks my third order from Anwar's within a single month. The freshness and flavors are beyond description. Were it possible to rate with more hands, I'd award additional stars without hesitation. Concluding my review, dining here feels akin to receiving a warm invitation into someone's home, where the meal is served with genuine love.“
“First time trying from this local restaurant and ordering for a party. It did not disappoint from the flavor to the service they provided. Ordering was easy over the phone and the staff was so friendly they helped bring the food to the car. I would definitely order again for all my party needs. All my guests loved the food so much from Mexicans to Filipinos ????“
“This place is affordable for LA and the portion size was decent. It definitely filled me up and I was satisfied. The employee that took my order ended up bringing the food to my table, which is more than I can say for Dog Haus even though they gave my table a number so the busser knew where to bring it. Definitely go here instead of there if you’re in the area.“
“This place has really good and really authentic Indian dishes. The service was great. The restraunt atmosphere was fine but not anything to write home about. This place was in walking distance from our airbnb we rented. We walked over on a Tuesday night around 6 and it wasn't too crowded. The items are sharable and you have to order everything separately so make sure you order some naan or rice for the soupier dishes.“
“I think I probably ate chicken tender fries. The female employee who was studying Korean responded with a refreshing attitude, so the taste was only ‘delicious’, but I think I was more satisfied.Since I didn't experience special foods like truffle burgers and only ate side dishes, I can't give a detailed evaluation of the taste ? Anyway, I was satisfied and there were only a few tables! ?“
“Best Indian restaurant we have tried since long. Amazing food and friendly staff. Everything is so delicious vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. Highly recommended place if you are nearby and want to have authentic indian cuisine.Vegetarian options: Good amount of options for vegetarian“
“I recently dined at Nayeb Kabob, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience! The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel like royalty. The food was an absolute delight – the flavors, spices, and presentation were all top-notch. I couldn't get enough of their mouthwatering kebabs and aromatic rice dishes. The ambiance was perfect, with traditional Iranian decor and soft music that transported us to a different world. I can't wait to return and savor more of their delicious cuisine!“
“I just went to have dinner at this restaurant because of the reviews I've read. It's true, it's a cozy place with delicious food and kind service. I had the chicken Tikka Masala and my wife the Mango coconut Lamb, with butter naan and Mango Lassi. I had never had Indian plates before and I strongly recommend this restaurant if you like good food.“
“JoJo's Lebanese take on shawarma is flavorful and delicious, with soft and lightly seasoned meat atop tasty warm rice. The chili and garlic sauces that accompany the food are fresh made too and really add zing to the meal as I alternate what to dip the various meats into. It all came with a solid hummus, warm pita bread points, and a side salad, perfectly and lightly dressed in a lemony dressing w a hint of sumac that felt healthy...While the ambiance is not much here, JoJo's is really all about the food, and the owner's care and his very warm and accommodating staff are to be commended for the fine meals, generous portions, and all around top notch service they all provide as a team.Excellent food!Food 10/10Service 10/10“
“I recently decided to explore this Indonesian gem near my home the day after Chinese New Year (2024). From the moment I stepped in, the service from Yeamin was impeccable!! Their hospitality was exceptional, and Yeamin went above and beyond in explaining each dish in detail. I opted for the Roti Canai, which was delightfully light and flaky, paired perfectly with a creamy, buttery taste and served alongside a delectable yellow curry. The Chicken Sate Ayam was another highlight of the meal, and I capped off this culinary journey with their divine pecan peanut butter cake--a pure delight! Each bite was an indulgence, and I left feeling thoroughly satisfied:)“
“Just so you know that I mean it, I'll write this part in all caps for you...I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The food is amazing/delicious and I guarantee you will find something you will like. There are many great vegetarian options on the side to accompany the wide plethora of meals, for example the Paneer Burrito (which is what I usually get). Amazing and kind staff/people here as well!“
“I had a delightful Iranian breakfast at Cafe de Alley in Los Angeles. The owner is a very friendly gentleman who made my experience truly special. The food was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my visit. I highly recommend this cafe and will definitely be returning!“
“Great service, and experience at this halal Korean spot! The hot dogs were flavorful and grilled to perfection, while the Korean burgers offered a tasty twist on a classic. Definitely recommend trying out their unique fusion dishes. Everything is halal here, including the BACON too. Everything except the chili sauce but which is easily avoidable.“
“Best Indian food I've ever had. Everytime I've ordered elsewhere since ordering from here I've been disappointed. My GO TO Indian spot & it will never be rivaled! I always get the veggie coconut curry, basmati rice, veggie samosas, raita, mint sauce & mango chutney, and the cheese naan. And a mango lassi & gulab for dessert of course. Consistent and delicious. Love yall!“
“Had chicken shawarma with falafel. 4/5Also had their chai, which tasted like dipped tea with milk. 3/5Overall an ok experience. We got lucky with the street parking as we got the spot right in front of the restaurant ,otherwise might have to look for other parking spots in busier time.“
“My go-to for takeout, but there is an inviting dine-in area with enough space for a few tables. The customer service is consistently swift; my phone orders are ready upon my arrival. The pricing is appropriate, offering generous portions. My usual half-and-half combo (chicken and beef) includes rice, hummus, pita bread, and a refreshing salad. Although I tend to forget to swap the salad for fries, another diner had them on their plate and they looked so yummy. Every element is expertly seasoned, resulting in consistency.“
“This review is definitely way over due!!!The consistency in the food is just stellar!Every time I come (4th time ) The food is fresh and super tasty .The boneless chicken is so fresh and cooked to perfectionNot overly dry but just the perfect juicy tenderness!!The rice is so yummy too.. But my fav is the hummus by far!!Also the staff is always super friendly and nice!!“
“I got the inferno chicken sandwich and the shrimp, and let me say I tapped out on the second shrimp, but I finished my chicken sandwich. If you love spicy foods, this is a great place to get them. I dont suggest you try the inferno unless you eat really spicy stuff. My lips are purple, and I was about to cry. That's how spicy it is, but it's good. Really recommend this place. Plus the staff is friendly.“
“I love this place. I've been coming here for years and the food is so delicious. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner on my last visit and when I tell you he's a gem of a human being.... super kind and generous. It was a quiet evening and I was visiting with a friend from back east and he was so incredibly kind to us. Full of wisdom and a deep passion for people. The food is authentically prepared with so much TLC. Can't wait to go back! It's also BYOB.The terrace is warm and cozy. The traditional Persian music is wonderful as well.“
“I'm glad this tasty, family-run restaurant is in my Los Feliz neighborhood. Happy that they've expanded their menu because the Persian Armenian food is delicious. Never had a bad meal, and never had anything but friendly service. Solid, un-pretentious, and relaxed. I dig it.“
“Had one of their combo meals via delivery. Goat curry, saag paneer and a mixed veg dish with rice, naan and raita. Everything was delicious, certainly some of the best Indian food I've had close to mid city. Very much appreciate that they serve goat and have dishes on the menu that are outside the standard Indian menu you see at most places in the area. Looking forward to going in person and trying their balti dishes as well as the paya. "Very very spicy" here seems to mean mildly spicy, so if you're a chili head like me best to let them know you mean business. The cilantro mint chutney was probably the best I've ever had-so fresh. All around great food.“
“This place sure is great. I got the OG plate and everything is so jam packed with flavor there is no need for the salsa although still very tasty. The birria is so tender it almost melts in your mouth. Also the churros are probably the best I’ve ever had with a crunchy fried golden brown exterior and tender almost gooey interior. My only issue is that everything is so small but I guess that’s just California Mexican cuisine.“
“My favorite Togo Asian spot is on the west side. I LOVE THIS SPOT. I’ve been here 10+ times and have never been a disappointment. I usually get the chicken sate, garlic seafood noodles, and their traditional curry. The staff is so nice and the place is always clean too. I love it!!!“
“India's Tandoori Hollywood is the most popular spot for Halal Indian cuisine in Hollywood. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including tandoori chicken, curries, biryanis, and more. They also have a lunch buffet and for Ramadan they have an Iftaar buffet, Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think so there is a place in all of the Hollywood which is offering Iftaar buffetOverall, India's Tandoori seems like a great option for a delicious Halal authentic Indian dining experience in Hollywood.“
“ust dined at Shekarchi in downtown LA, and it’s safe to say it’s the best Persian restaurant in Southern California. The cuisine is of unmatched quality and deliciousness, blending authentic Persian flavors seamlessly. The Koobideh and Shishlik come highly recommended for those looking to indulge in the true essence of Persian culinary excellence. The atmosphere of Shekarchi sets it apart, offering a romantic vibe with an American twist, making it the perfect introduction for non-Persians keen on experiencing Middle Eastern food for the first time in an inviting, familiar environment. Shekarchi is undeniably a must-visit for a memorable culinary journey.“
“Took a take out after reading their reviews and a long day at universal studios. The portion was a lot but the chicken was dry not soft and juicy unlike other Mediterranean joints.Their chicken wraps were good though. We were visiting the studios so stopped here on last day for dinner take out.“
