“Loved this little spot! They make a matcha latte perfectly!! The barista suggested making it a white chocolate matcha and it was delicious! The empanadas were great, heated up perfectly and not microwaved like some places do when heating a pastry. The sitting area in the back of as adorable and comfortable and the gift shop had a great collection of local art, greeting cards and a whole lot of gift items.“

“One of my favorite Spanish restaurants! Second visit, about 5 years apart. We sampled a wide range of items and nearly all were excellent. Tomato bread, patata bravas, grilled octopus, and so many other dishes were really outstanding. The one issue for me was mainly a personal preference. The Tortilla Espanol was made to order and a mini version that was served hot, with a bunch of stuff on top. It was too loose and wet for my taste. Service was great as were the drinks. Noise is a bit loud, but not unusually so. Parking is easiest if you use the Amtrak lot across the street. The small lot attached to the restaurant offers valet, but is very crampt and a little crazy on the weekends.“

“I can’t say enough good things about our meal here. The quesabirria was INCREDIBLE. One of the most delicious things I’ve eaten all year. My boyfriend got the agaves enchiladas which were also insanely delicious, they are shrimp and fish enchiladas with this mango chipotle sauce on top. It was truly a 10/10. Even their guacamole was amazing. Do not pass on this place“

“Came for brunch in the hipster "funk zone" area, at the fairly well-known restaurant, The Lark, for my first time. Service was friendly and great, although our food came out a bit slower than expected. Still, the hostess, waitress and bussers were all informative, fun and kind. The food was fantastic! My spouse loved the shakshuka, as it was powerfully flavorful with cast iron to have that roasted touch. We could've done without the green olives in it, but more for personal taste. My chicken and waffles were also excellent. The waffles were surprisingly light and crispy, with some heavy honey butter to kick you in the mouth. Fried chicken was good. We enjoyed our mimosa flight- particularly with the sparkling wine/champagne served in a separate chilled container to dole out for the flavors (pomegranate, grapefruit, orange and cranberry, iirc). All the other sides like the oyster and hangover fries were well-suited to curb any remaining appetites. Love the decor too, particularly in the booths. Very charming, and classy, while still chill. Easy to find this restaurant nestled with other shops, pastries and coffee. Definitely would come again!“

“Highly recommend if your palette loves to go on adventures. We did the Chefs pre-fixe menu. The courses felt like they would never stop. Overall, everything was wonderdul but of course there were a few that stood out and became faves. The staff & servers were absolutely amazing. The attentiveness was unmatched. The GM was nice enough to stop at our table and ask about our experience. Personal service is appreciated. If you have a chance prior to dinner go see Paris at the Manor Bar, she was a ray of sunshine.Seriously, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and I have been to many countries & states.Parking: Validation for Valet available“

“An amazing local find that could easily be overlooked if you don’t know it’s there - but man is it worth the visit! The food is great; fresh, delicious, and authentic. Classic bean and cheese burrito and chips & guac were a perfect pairing for me; highly recommended. Our only advice - visit when the weather is nice, as there is no indoor seating.“

“Best breakfast place we had on our California road trip - by far. Their campfire French toast with smoked maple sirup (only on weekends) is next level, their avocado toast with cucumber super tasty and the cinnamon roll the best I ever had! We came back three times to Santa Barbara during our road trip and part of that decision was also the amazing breakfast at Helena's Bakery. You order at the counter and then look for a seat, indoors or outdoors. There is parking in the neighborhood if you need it, but I would recommend to walk over.A must go if you are in SB!“

“I love the Brass Bird Coffee and Kitchen. It checks all of the boxes: great flavorful food and beverages, wonderful fresh baked goods, tasty snacks and sandwiches, and a fabulous location with lots of free parking. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they make wonderful drinks of all kinds served in a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, has great Wi-Fi reception (great place to work) and also has heaters and a nice fountain. It fits in perfectly with Carpinteria's relaxed small beach city charm. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal food items, fresh new bakery selections, and seasonal beverages. There are several gluten free items to chose from and many organic choices as well. It is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, lunch or breakfast and when available brunch. I don't generally drink soft drinks but they make several house made sodas that are absolutely delicious without being too sweet. I particularly like the watermelon lime soda. When visiting Carpinteria make sure and visit this wonderful place. You will not be sorry.“

“I had a delightful experience at Saint Bibiana cafe in Santa Barbara today with my husband. After a refreshing walk, we decided to stop for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The cafe exudes a cozy atmosphere, and the pizza with mushrooms and lemon was exceptionally tasty. The staff were friendly and provided prompt service, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. We left feeling satisfied and content, wishing nothing but prosperity for this charming establishment.I highly recommend paying a visit to Saint Bibiana cafe for a memorable dining experience. “
“Ordered the 4 honey wine sampler, but they were out of most wines (it was a Monday morning), so I got 3 beers and 2 wines instead. The wines were ok, but all 3 beers were *delicious*, despite being totally different. Definitely recommend the dark honey beer and the kombucha honey beer. And as a bonus, the guy topped off a couple of the best beers!“

“I’m from Philadelphia so I often seek out local Italian ice (“water ice”) spots to try. This was by far THE BEST I have found!!! I mixed the melon and watermelon. The flavor was amazing and the texture was perfect (soft, smooth, no clumps of ice). We can’t wait to come back to SB to have it again!“

“Food and cocktails were excellent. Service wasn't so great unfortunately. Our server spent a lot of time talking to regulars. Never asked us if we wanted to order more drinks. Another server had to ask us about dessert and get us the check.“
“Amazing place! Really felt at home at Jamie Slone Wines. Lindsey did an amazing job of making us feel welcomed and cared for on a particularly rainy day in Santa Barbara. She gave us some great insights into wine tasting and recommended a really interesting book that she uses to evaluate wine. Really homey vibe and great staff that went the extra mile to make our experience special! Only disappointment was not getting to meet Jamie himself who is apparently working the bar quite frequently.“

“These tacos were suuuuuuperrrr goood! We were cruising around and stopped here to eat and hit the cages. It's in a super lowkey spot & easy to miss as I almost missed it as we were riding by in our bikes. We got the 3 taco deal & they were all super good! I usually don't like anything raw but somehow these tacos changed my mind. Definitely would come back, service was okay as the cash register took a while to take our order since she was talking to people in there but in this case all the good beat the bad“

“I decided to try,one morning, their miso-maple focaccia and since then I am hooked! It won me over instantly! Moist, flavorful without being over the top, just perfect balance. I can never resist marzipan so I had a frosnapper! Once again delighted with it! Let’s just say it didn’t make it home. I also love their pumpkin seeds sourdough bread, moist, full of seeds, excellent! Highly recommend.“

“Very good Neapolitan pizza. The crust is less chewy than most pizzas of this style, and the char is aggressive, so it reminds me of a New Haven style pizza. The restaurant can get very loud and make conversation very difficult. The staff is helpful, but so busy, that it can be difficult to get their attention.“

“The line was crazy long and we weren't sure if we wanted to wait, but they are so well organized! They got a table for our party while we stood in the line, so we had a place to sit once we placed our order. The service was fairly quick and the food was good. Nice atmosphere and we admired the enduring love story of the owners & their precious photos.“
“The place itself has a cool vibe, good beer, and good music. However, I was greeted by a guy giving me a hard time aboit bringing my leftovers from elsewhere because they serve food. I came in with my suitcase so you would think that might be a note that I'm not from around here and wouldn't know that. Not a great first impression but I may just be grumpy from a six hour train ride. ??♀️“

“Best humous I have had in this country! Light and tasty. We had the humous plate with 2 other dips, goats cheese, salad and also the short ribs. We had a delightful conversation with the owner. Everything was fresh and delicious and I can't wait to go again!“
“Very good pizza. The beer was some of the best beer I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is awesome. The only thing they need to do is make condiments available with the pizza. I had to go to the bar and request red peppers from the bartender who was nice enough to get it for me. The red peppers totally changed the taste of the pizza.“

“Great food but keep in mind that the avocado toast (specifically the gf one) is only one small slice and it’s extra $ to add on the good stuff. The yogurt/ gluten free granola parfait and oat milk lavender latte were both DELISH! We were told any bowls would take 20+ minutes to make which seems insane (coming from someone who used to work at a smoothie/breakfast/coffee shop we never had that kind of wait even when equally as busy). Luckily, it didn’t take 20 minutes for the parfait but just a heads up if you’re in need to a quick breakfast. You can tell it’s a beloved restaurant of the vacationers and locals and based on taste you can see why, but is still a bit pricey for what you get.Dietary restrictions: Gf bread and granola available“

“Really nice atmosphere inside and outside. Was able to make some dishes vegan I had the Primavera Rosa, no cream, subbed the fettuccine (has egg) for spaghetti, they said didn’t have egg. The dish was super saucy had a lot of vegetables delicious.Husband had the fettuccine Alfredo, and it was really creamy and flavorful .The owner came to chat with us and was nice. Said they’re going to later include on their menu what is clearly vegan or vegetarian. We’ll come back again to try another dish. Might try the vegan pizza next time. They had cocktails as well.Vegetarian options: Ask for options, likely has vegetarian options.Spaghetti doesn’t have egg“

“What a gem this place is! My wife and I rented out the greenhouse room for our wedding rehearsal dinner and everything was absolutely above and beyond our expectations. The ambiance is truly stunning, the abundance of natural light highlights all of the well balanced colors and tasteful decor. Our guest count was the maximum they allowed, which they set very aptly as we filled the room but at no point felt overly crammed. The hors d'oeuvres were spectacular and they never stopped coming throughout cocktail hour. The menu selections during the planning process were plentiful, and all sounded so delicious, and we were incredibly happy with our choices. The sea bass was delicate and delicious, while the NY strip steak was juicy, and cooked to perfection. The staff was genuine and friendly throughout the night, and the bartenders made excellent cocktails. This place was already special to us before, as it is where I took my wife to brunch before proposing on a beach walk afterwards, but it now holds a place in our hearts forever. We will continue coming here for many special occasions, or even for just a nice lunch or dinner. Thank you to everyone at Stella Mares who made our weekend amazing!“

“The kind of coffee shop I'd frequent regularly if I lived in the area. I appreciate how early they're open since I am an early riser and need coffee right away when I get up. The staff were friendly, the selection of pastries is excellent, the coffee tastes fantastic and the interior is cool. It's also large which makes me think even when it's busy, there should be seating for everyone. Though it wasn't crowded when I was in to order takeaway coffee.“

“I went to this place for a weekend vacation with my daughter, but it was a complete frustration . They take forever to give us the room it was more than 4 hours' wait. I think it was a misunderstanding since the beginning. When finally we got the room, I found out the duvet cover had a stain, and we didn't know if the change was the betting or they were rushing to fix the room . We tried to be understanding, but it was too much for 1 day. Because of all these issues, they offered us a late checkout , which was a 3pm, but the luck our room at 1 pm . I was completely upset. To finish our day, we had the cherry of the cake when the valet brought us a different car. For us, it was enough .These trip it was mother and daughter weekend vacations.( While our stay at this hotel, we try to enjoy as much we can and forget all these issues ). Don't take me wrong, the hotel is beautiful ( but we didn't expect this kind of adventure )The stuff was very nice and respectful to please us after all these mistakes .Rooms: The rooms are great and niceNearby activities: Downtown Montecito shops wonderfulSafety: We are safe doing this tripFood & drinks: Food is delicious but a bit expensive“

“We are such big fans of Institution Ale Co., and they're location (and Beer Garden!) in Santa Barbara are the best! We've been many times and always enjoy the amazing beers (Day Dreamin' is my favorite!) and food. Recently, we worked with Institution Ale Co. to host our Wedding Party / Rehearsal Dinner in the beer garden. It was absolutely perfect; the food and drinks were wonderful, and the service was amazing. We will absolutely be back, and we highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for great beers, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere on State Street!“
“Even though I would've driven right place this place nestled in a semi-industrial feel location. Overall, this is exactly what I would expect of a wine tasting. Tasted 5 different wines from the reds and roses. Our server seemed very knowledgable about the different wines. I know nothing about wine and appreciated her suggestions and insight. While I was hopeful I'd be wrong, I knew the chardonnay was going to be my least favorite since I have yet to find one that I like... from any where. It was a super chill patio experience. Apparently this is a popular place for dog owners to hang out with thier pups. Inside was live music but everyone still hung out on the patio because of either the dogs or the weather. The cheese board was a nice compliment to the wine, the nuts and crackers were helpful after my 2nd wine. It would've been nice to have some additional options for those who can't do cheese or have nut allergies. Ended up purchasing some of my fav, the Sauvignon Blanc (2022) and can't wait to share it with friends!“

“We came here on a Sunday around 9:30am, found parking in front of the restaurant, and were seated right away. Excellent service - our servers were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant in itself is really cute and if you have time you should check out all their photos and information about Summerland - very interesting! Their portions are very generous, we took some leftovers home. I ordered a Croissant Omelette and it was okay, the bread was a little soggy. The fruit was fresh and the potatoes were tasty. My husband got the omelet with Brie and spinach and I think I liked that better, very tasty!“
