“Walking Santee Alleys makes you hungry and Mex Peru Gipsy is EXCELLENT, 5 star for food and service. My family ordered a little bit of everything - the gotta has a chipotle sauce which brings together the flavors perfectly. The menudo was authentic and they bring out all the condiments. The lomo saltado and tallarín was perfect. The serve is fast and friendly as if you're eating with family. Everyone here takes great pride in what they serve. Worth driving to even if you're not shopping the alleys.“

“This place used to be the biz. I cannot deny that their food is jammin' but their service and overall attitude have a lot be desired. This was the spot after the world reopened and the outdoor seating made everyone feel a little more COVID safe. I think they started feeling themselves a little too much. After my wife and I had our first couple visits there, it was great. However, subsequent visits went from awful to the absolute worst. They failed to recognize our reservations a couple of times and when they got it wrong, they made us rush to order. I would get their food again but suggest getting it delivered to spare their nonsensical restaurant/business practices. If you want the pulpo, get it there and not for delivery. And for some reason, when you get the saltado delivered, you don't get the egg. I'm assuming it's due to possible foodbourne illness issues. Five stars for food, one star for service/attitude.“

“Quick service window in Venice. You are sitting outside so be prepared for the wind and gray weather! The fish tacos were 10/10! So light! So fluffy! The yellow sauce took it to another level! Shrimp Saltados 8/10 had great flavor! Kinda messy for a beach day. The rice was hard, but overall delightful!“

“Yummy food! Happy to have been able to walk in on a Saturday as a group of 4 and be accommodated right away. Definitely worth trying but..Be aware of their verbiage when dining, they might try to upsell ya on water, etc.Also the check felt like a trap.. They added a service charge that ended up being 20% when doing the math. But still had a dedicated line showing suggested tip amounts. So you might end up tipping twice which isn’t the end of the world but still felt pretty deceitful.“

“Giving it a four as the food quality was not the same my second time as the first. Got lomo saltado and leche de Tigre ceviche the first time. The lomo saltado was tasty and the Leche De Tigre had INSANE flavor...lime that will punch you in the face yet make you happy as well as a perfect compliment with their warm bread. Second time there I got the leche de Tigre again and this time for tallarin verde de carne. The pesto topped spaghetti lacked any real depth of flavor and this time the leche de Tigre was OVERLY salty. It was still edible, but barely to both me and my date. They bring out your food on a cute/funny robotic panda that has trays built into it which is kinda a neat touch... it's a humble establishment, but good vibes and I will return to try it out again.“

“My go to spot for delivery , I've only ate once inside but usually I order for delivery and they never miss ! I always get the chicken with fries and the amount of fries they give you is wonderful ! The taste of the chicken is very Smokey but it isn't overpowering the ají sauce I always order extra the spice level is great I'm use to spicy salsas , foods I enjoy the level of this ají sauce .“

“Visited for the 1st time on a Saturday , place was almost full . Clean , service was fast and friendly . Order Started with papa a la huancaina and tamal de pollo as starters , both 10 out of 10 - super delicious We also ordered a lomo saltado , one apanado a lo pobre and antucuchos with pancita The lomo saltado 10 of 10 ( presentation and flavor ) The anticucho with pancita ( mixto) was also delicious, the combination with the sauces and the left over papa a la huancaina sauce was perfect The apanado a lo pobre came late ( everybody else was done either way their meals ) but ate it anyway it was great Stop by worth the visit“

“Foooood is sooooo gooooood. The one I went to was a taco stand, but honestly the service was nice and the server very understanding. It is outside, so you might be cold so it's probably better to have it for togo and eat it at home! Tacos are bomb and the quesadillas is not bad!“

“Many good places are sometimes in weird locations that are often overseen and unnoticed. El Chocherita is one them, food has so much flavor, portion is awesome and their service is on point. I had a "Leche de Tigre" which often times is hard to come across a restaurants that prepares it well. I also had an "Arroz Chaufa de pollo y Carne, with no onions" which delivered a very tasteful bite as I finished it off with some Chicha! My co worker had a Lomo Saltado and was smiling from ear to ear as he ate his meal! Overall very satisfied with their food and service, definitely a place to try. Inside the Valley Indoor Swap Meet, on the second floor, up the escalator to the right!“

“Pretty low key spot. Simple tables , kinda sparse design but clean and comfortable. Good service, but low key. Food was solid. Had the mixed Ceviche and it was solid. I'm a ceviche connoisseur, but this was comparable to what I'd generally get in Lima. On a really tough scale as someone who has tried some of the best ceviche recipes you come across in multiple countries, I give it a 7.5-8 out of 10. Really, good, deserving of a 9 out of 10 on an l LA Peruvian ceviche scale. It was served the very traditional way I don't often see outside of Peru. Good spot if you like Peruvian food. “Rikas Peruvian restaurant is like the 5th or 6th Peruvian restaurant I've been to in LA. It's interesting because it's located in Koreatown. But this little Peruvian restaurant packs a bunch. I enjoyed it a lot. It's like classic Peruvian comfort food. If you guys haven't tried their ceviche mixto, it is a must try. It's probably the best Peruvian ceviche I'd had in LA. Nice fresh raw fish, and the sourness to the juice was just about right. Their chaufa pollo, or chicken fried rice, was also another knockout. It's safe to say that this is the best fried rice I've had outside of any Asian restaurant. Haha. Their lomo saltado was also pretty solid. Great sauce, fries, and steak. In all, I would highly recommend Rikas if you are in town. It is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. You'll feel so great after eating the food here.
