The Nugget Mountain Bar is one of the finest establishments in all the land. The ownership is probably the classiest human beings I know who will bend over backwards to make sure that your experience there is memorable. I LOVE THE APPAREL!!! They have super creative merch & and an eye for authentic apparel. But you don't just get to wet your whistle here, you have access to some of the most GOURMET SLIDERS on the planet. My family and I love getting grub here when we're chillin at the condo at Purg. The Nugget is truly the diamond in the Colorado rough. Go out of your way to stop at this enchanting space. “We saw this place was within walking distance of the home we rented. We read the reviews and had a local tell us this place is good. We walk over, got the last of two tables at 4:30 PM on a Thursday and ordered drinks and queso. I had the special margarita, cucumber and jalapeno. It was good, not too spicey for me and I am a big baby when it comes to things too spicey. Spouse had a house margarita. It was really good with fresh fruit in it. I wish I had ordered one of those. The cheese queso was great; melting hot in some sort of stone bowl. The chips are good too - light and crunchy and not too much salt on them. For our meal we ordered a chicken burrito and carne asada. The two dishes were split by my kid, 13, me and spouse. It was more than enough food. The place has every table full at times so the service was little slow. I noticed only 2 waiters for 12 or so tables. The bar back and bus boy did do a lot to help. The decor is cute and the noise level moderate. I am glad we stopped into a small, local business for dinner. I would go back.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid's menu.“
“Great spot in downtown Durango. We stopped in on a Saturday night on our way through town. Had a short wait for a table, service was great. I had the pulled pork chimichanga, which was out of this world. Hubby had the cod entrée, which he really enjoyed.“
“This tucked-away spot is new to our family of five. It exceeded our expectations!It's mostly a bar with an extensive cocktail menu, and several draft beer, can beer, and wine options.There are three food trucks out back, and we had food from two of them.The bartender was alone and very busy due to a family event for the local college. She was on top of things and kept up excellently!We tried fish and chips and gourmet fries from the Port & Pasture truck. Both were outstanding! So delicious! The batter on the fish was better than I've had since I was in Scotland.We also had curry and momos from Sherpa Momo Ghar. Both were amazing! The curry was so tasty, and the sauce for the momos was perfectly spicy for me. We also had papadums, which were crisp and tasty.We aren't in Durango often, but will return here to see what other hidden gems are in the back!Vegetarian options: All three food trucks had vegetarian options.“
“So I was having a bad night and went to this bar for the first time ever. Sonnie and Kris absolutely saved my night. I felt welcome and safe, 13/10 recommend. I usually don't like bars yet I met a bunch of super cool people and had an amazing time. Sonnie made sure I was enjoying myself each step of the way. Eventually he started gushing about his wife, it was so sweet. This bar ensured I had a good time and got home safe. If you're looking for a second home, you've found it here. From bartender to patron, this place is incredible.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step to the entrance but otherwise this bar is spacious and the bathroom can accommodate a wheelchair.“
“I love me a real bar where they throw out the trash instead of letting sit around. Blown away that alow the kids in to dance after dark, that's just great! “There is a special trait for anyone who works in a hotel restaurant and Jen embodied all of that. After many many hours of driving she was a breath of fresh air in conversation, stories, and listening to us. The food here was very good and the Burger was excellent. The drinks were cold but Jen is the one who needs to be cloned across the world in terms of hospitality“
“Starlight seems to be consistently our favorite local bar for various reasons. It’s cozy yet classy. Great patio during the warmer months. It can be slightly chaotic to order drinks just because it gets a little crowded and a bit loud but, that’s because we all love the place ? They have some great occasional live music. Some DJs are better than others and that’s the same anywhere in Durango. Drag Trivia on Thursdays is fun and Wednesdays we’ve enjoyed taking friends to karaoke there. Tuesdays are open mic which often results with some good music by great local talent. Drinks are generous and decently priced, friendly staff ???“

If you're searching for a fine dining experience that's worth the price tag in Durango, don't bother with Primus or Seasons — this is what you've been searching for. Cocktails are perfection (we recommend the Banana for Scale, Bye Bye American Brine, and Straight to the Core), appetizers are delightful (GET THE BURRATA), and entrees are well balanced and satisfying (we recommend the Hanger Steak and Seared Scallops). If you get Ryan as your server, you win!“
