My husband and I had the tikka masala lamb over rice and veggie rice bowl with chicken. Both dishes were full of flavor and excellent. The drinks menu looked great, but we were full. We enjoyed sitting at the little table in the center of the store and the ladies taking the orders and cooking were very sweet. This was a much better option than a fast food chain off the highway. Highly recommend.”

She was welcoming and made sure the juices were bagged properly with a napkin so the glass bottle would not break . Both juices were delicious, and the ginger wasn’t overpowering. “I haven’t been to this diner for a number of years, mainly because the food quality had been lacking. The back parking lot was in bad shape.the diner itself seemed dirty.
Well because my husband and another couple and myself wanted a bite to eat that was close by to the movie theatre . We were pleasantly surprised how clean the parking area was and how it had been paved! We went i in I noticed how clean it looked, and we were lead to a quite long table! It was comfortable and our waitress was very nice and very accommodating. We mostly ordered breakfast foods and my husband got an open face beef sandwich with lots of gravy . My meal came with their homemade corned beef hash, it was delicious! It also came with two sunny side up eggs, perfectly cooked, two slices of rye toast with butter and home fries , thinly sliced. All cooked well and delicious! Our friends also got varied egg dishes, like white egg omelette with vegetables, They too got the hash.We were all so happy with the meal, good quality , delicious, and cooked well!
Afterwards I ordered a chocolate shake, made with chocolate ice cream! No whipped cream, it was yummy. Our friend ordered a rice pudding , he said it was good. The restrooms were very clean, a good indicator that their kitchen also is clean! We walked out very content and got to the movies in no time!
We will repeat in the near future!

Because the shells are good and sticky (not everyone's preference, I know), and the ingredients are of high enough quality, and so well-prepared, that they don't have to over-douse everything in salty sauces to mask the awfulness, the tacos stay together well. They are also reasonably hearty tacos--not thin, not overpacked. In short, this is one of those places that understands that well-wrought simplicity is the best approach for this kind of cuisine--great for a quick, satisfying meal. “First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. Brittany was our server, & she was awesome! I can't recall our busboy's name but he was great with bringing bread to our table, & refilling our water glasses as needed. I had the baby arugula salad special to start, & it was so tasty & the perfect beginning before having an old favorite of mine, linguine with white clam sauce. My hubby really enjoyed the Spiedina Romano which is a kicked up mozzarella appetizer that if he fully polished it off, he wouldn't have ate his Chicken Piccata then tangerine sorbet afterwards! Don't worry, we brought home leftovers to enjoy! Topping off things was a surprise singing of "Happy Birthday" when my tartufo came out! Reservations are strongly recommended especially for dinner, but Ralph 'n' Rich's is a gem that's had staying power in Downtown Bridgeport for many years. Go there & enjoy!”

Quickly we noticed there was one bartender behind the bar - ut oh. Right? Nope. Britt was truly amazing and this place is lucky to have her. We never went without a drink; she was attentive and kind. I did not see any vegetarian or seafood options on the menu, so walked over and asked if they could make an enchilada platter with all veggies no meat. At first, the girls at the counter were not sure because they needed to check with the cook. After a bit of back/and forth they accommodated my request. As I was placing my order, the girl asked if I wanted it with salsa verde or roja, and she let me taste both sauces. I went with the salsa verde, top notch fresh tasting. I was a bit skeptical how the food was going to taste because of the confusion when placing the order, but let me tell you the enchilada with the salsa verde rice and beans was DELICIOUS. Served with a side of lettuce, avocado and lime and she offered sour cream and hot sauce and I got both. Hot sauce was also very good! The enchilada, to my surprise had all the veggies, filled with zucchini, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions and ofc peppers. I was hugely impressed and price point at $20, I would say is average for a dinner platter these days, but for a vegetarian dish with no meat I think was a bit on the pricier end. I would have given 5 stars but because of the confusion in trying to place the order and no vegetarian or seafood options listed on their menu giving it a 4 star. Still, I will definitely be going back and hopefully they will expand their menu to add vegetarian options or at least shrimp tacos to their menu would be great!”

“I still recommend this place even though yesterday I had a bad experience. I placed my order and had to wait more than half an hour... I saw the attendant acting really awkwardly... laughing all the time like she was sort of into "something"... the situation was chaotically embarrassing cos around 8 people were waiting for their orders and she was practically just walking from one side to the other laughing and trying to call attention to herself. I curiously approached the counter and noticed that my order (along with others) were just standing at the counter for a long time and nobody bagged them nor called my number to let me know it was ready... 😳... my chicken was already cold... 😡. That was my only bad experience so far cos all the other times never have I had any problem. The chicken and everything else are really good but sometimes the service sucks.”

“During a search for breakfast in Bridgeport, Ct Don Roque Garage populated so we decided to stop in and I am glad we did! If you are familiar with Trumbull Cafe then you will love this place too! We ordered a few things to the table for breakfast such as a blueberry waffle, french toast, some coffee , tea , sausage, eggs, and two Tijuana bowls. ALL OF IT WAS DELICIOUS ! Service was great as well! Great experience , food was super fresh and delightful. Do well!!! I will be returning when in town.”

“This review is a part of my quest to visit all CT breweries. I had only heard about Foolproof before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

The brewery is located in an industrial zone. It has a decent parking lot across the street. The brewery occupies its own big building. You're immediately greeted with an awesome artwork depicting a jester. Behind the gates is a patio area with its own limited set of taps. The main brewery is located inside on the 2nd floor (an elevator is available). The indoor space is huge. So huge, in fact, that it hosts a car on display. I've only been to one room, but I'm pretty sure that there is at least one more available for parties. The atmosphere in the space is great. There is an on-site kitchen, so you can order food. I got shrimp tacos, and they were tasty.

The beer selection is great. There were 14 taps during my visit. You can order a flight of 4 beers, which allowed me to try almost every beer for this review. I enjoyed almost all the beers. I appreciate the selection of pilsners of multiple substyles. But my most favorite beers for the day were Pickleodeon (gose) and Swirl Pop (fruited sour). I rarely pick these styles as favorites, but I loved how mouthfeel they were.

All in all, I will definitely recommend this brewery to anyone. You can hang out in a cool space, participate in their events, or just drink some good beers.”

“We were craving some jamaican food while in Bridgeport today. So we decided to look for a place on Google. I am so glad we picked this spot.
Customer service was amazing. They have very nice people working there.
We had brown stew chicken and oxtail. The food was really good. Me, my wife and even my picky 3 years old really enjoyed it. And that in house made sorrel drink was very good and refreshing.

“Elis Sweet Bakery did an amazing job on the cake for my daughter’s graduation from the Bridgeport Police Academy! The cake was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious. We also ordered cupcakes, and they were a huge hit with everyone.

We chose red velvet and chocolate, and both flavors were moist, rich, and perfectly balanced. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into their baking.
