“The food is the same great quality Bears BBQ just in a smaller take out style restaurant. There are a couple of picnic tables outside if you're looking to eat there. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for excellent BBQ in the area.“

“I went to this place a few weeks back, and I'm only getting to post about it now. I can't recommend this place enough! I ordered the one meat combo with brisket, cornbread, and baked BBQ means. It was all fantastic! The brisket was so tender that sometimes forking it alone would have it come apart. One bite filled my mouth with heavenly smokey meaty flavor. This place does BBQ brisket the right way, and it's a higher quality brisket than other well known BBQ spots nearby. The cornbread was crumbly and delicious. Exactly what you'd want out of cornbread, nothing more to say here! The beans were savory and satisfying and cooked just right. They paired very nicely with my brisket. I made sure to dump all the tiny tender leftover pieces of brisket into the beans. What a delicious combo that was! If you want to impress your friends with a great takeout BBQ place, this is the spot. It's worth the ride. For a takeout place it really has the right vibe. Soulful music playing, open kitchen setup so you know what you're getting, friendly customer service! The only thing I'd love to see from this place is some additional sauces. Although the quality of meat is so great, no sauce is required, but it's always nice to have on the side. Something spicy would pair really well with this savory tender smokey brisket. The BBQ sauce that they do have is delicious though.“

“Jerk chicken was moist, tender, and bursting with flavor and heat. Perfect amount of spice and generous portion size. Platter included rice with some curry drizzled atop and stewed veggies, all delicious. The owner came by to ask me how I liked it, if the spice level was ok, etc attentive but in a genuine way.No frills counter serve but has everything you need i.e great food.“

“Much better than other restaurants nearby with higher Yelp ratings. Walking distance from the hotel we were staying at was also a plus. Chain restaurant, but variety on the menu. Happy with apps and meal. Only thing I would change is the fillets needed more seasoning. We could add salt at the table, but the menu pitched a signature grill seasoning, which may have been missed entirely for everyone in our party.“

“Their ability to cater an event is by far the best experience I’ve ever had. They catered my wedding two weeks ago and everyone absolutely loved the food. They came on time, the food was hot and fresh, and their service and professionalism was top notch. I’m going to use them two more times next year for events I’m doing.“

You will stand and wait while they serve every other customer. “My friends took me here for my birthday as a surprise late brunch. The service and food were excellent. We got there after 2 pm, so it was pretty quiet(which I liked). Our server(I'm so sorry I forgot his name-young, curly hair young adult). He was absolutely so nice and funny. He kept checking on us and was just an all-around nice person. The food(steak) was cooked exactly how we liked it, and it was seasoned. I don't like steak that tastes bland, so this was a treat that it had some flavor to it. The mashed(whipped) potatoes were soooo good. The bartender did a good job with my virgin fruity drink. I appreciate the service.“

“My husband and I just had the most amazingly delicious dinner at The Rocking Horse in Vernon,Ct. the plates were presented so nicely we didn’t want to touch them you got full just looking at them.The owner was so personable and very accommodating which made the whole experience even nicer.After dinner there was a band which was nice to listen to while having some cocktails.If you were wondering what we had I would just say try the NY Strip with the Mac and Cheese or the Fresno chicken sandwich.Five stars and will be returning again. “
