“This was my first time dining at this Restaurant, and I was promptly seated and met my server Whitney. She offered recommendations, answered any questions I had, and was quite personable as well. I ordered the breaded Mozzarella appetizer, which was delicious, and the spinach dip as well. I wasn’t a fan of the bread that came with the dip, and this was promptly taken off the bill, and I ended up getting Whitney’s recommended chicken and broccoli Alfredo pasta. I very much enjoyed the pasta, and the service really highlighted the staff’s absolute dedication to the satisfaction of their customers. That is a fact that will keep me coming back for more!“
“La Fia always delivers. The menu is season and each dish is always an amazing combination of flavors and texture. Get any of their pasta dishes, for years they are packed with such inventive flavors and the pasta is expertly cooked al dente. The duck confit has been on the menu for years and we never tire of it. Same for the octopus. La Fia has been our favorite restaurant for years.“
“It's been a minute since we've been here. It has changed a lot. For the better. Seated promotly, they do try to push the bar tab. It's kinda expected and up to the customer to say yes or no. I had one. It was delicious! I ordered the veal tenders. I ordered without mushrooms and there was no oroblem. OMG! So nice and tasty. I brought some home for next days lunch. He had the veal chop. He enjoyed it. Lots if food but we wanted some salad. One salad and two plates. Who knew? It worked out great. The service was excellent. This used to be a quiet place to have dinner. They've added tables and it's much more lively. Everyone seemed happy and upbeat. We will be back. Yummy!“
“Scalessa’s is exactly as it sounds. Old school Italian Sunday dinner style meals & sandwiches. The Chicken Marsala is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Try it with a side of gnocchi (delicious) or even their spaghetti. The chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe sandwich is delicious. The staff is always friendly. The chefs are beyond skilled. Don’t forget to grab a butter cake before you leave.“
“The food is absolutely amazing. The four of us shared several dishes and deserts, and each was more delicious than the last. Incredible!Service was spot-on, and the atmosphere was inviting and romantic. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place.“
“The restaurant is near a corporate center and has a large parking lot. The main room where we sat was very noisy. The server was excellent and the food was delicious. My husband had the lasagna and I had the acorn agnolotti. Amazing Italian bread too. And they have a little market onsite filled with items to purchase. I would definitely recommend and return.“
“Seating was right on time with our reservation. The staff were warm and welcoming. Menu was well rounded and the food was delicious. Pricing was a bit high, but not enough to bypass next time. * complimentary valet parking was fine, but unexpected *“
“The buffet on Thursday night is absolutely the best food I have ever seen on a buffet, anywhere! The fresh salads, huge sweet crab legs, and I think my favorite is the homemade ravioli. Can't wait to come back. The servers are the best! Kudos to Elvis.“
“The long and short of this review: “Go to THE QUOIN RESTAURANT and you will love everything.”From the courteous reception at the valet stand, to the prompt and friendly service at the Rooftop Lounge, to the extremely welcoming Maître d', to our extraordinary server, to the absolutely fabulous cuisine, everything was not only on point, but consistently exceeded expectations. We started the evening off at the Rooftop Lounge with cocktails. The Rooftop Lounge is a sweet spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drink as well as the afternoon sunshine. Our Rooftop server thoughtfully and efficiently ensured that we enjoyed our cocktails, but also that we were timely on our way downstairs to make our reservation for dinner. For dinner downstairs, we were promptly seated and though originally given a table outside at our own request, when it became a bit chilly, we were happily and quickly seated inside. After cocktails, our delightful server recommended several menu items to be shared. Her spot–on recommendations did not disappoint. We shared and enjoyed the Burratta Piadina and Endive Salad to start things off. Each dish was superb. We then were treated to the Crispy Octopus and the Fettuccine. Again, each dish was simply wonderful. Flavorful. Expertly prepared, beautifully plated. We ended our meal with the Wood Fired Salmon, which was, once again, fantastic. After enjoying an espresso and a cappuccino, respectively, we lingered at our table to soak in and enjoy the atmosphere: the open kitchen, the sleek bar, the friendly bustle of the entire staff working tirelessly and showing their obvious talents. And, as we departed, the affable and cultivated Maître d' personally thanked us by name for dining at the restaurant. Perfect parting words for a perfect dining experience.I highly recommend THE QUOIN RESTAURANT. It’s absolutely outstanding in every conceivably ratable category for dining experiences. Go and enjoy!“
“We had heard of this place and decided to have our anniversary dinner here. It did not disappoint. My husband had the crab cakes and I had the lobster ravioli special. The food was excellent and was matched by the service. The calamari appetizer and the melon- prosciutto appetizers were superb and the desserts were a great finish. The wait staff is helpful. Pleasant and attentive. We will be back.“
“Great for a midweek date. Food is very good. I enjoyed my appetizer (the burrata --delicious and with eye appeal) more than dinner (Chicken Florentino --good but could have used some imagination). The mussels appetizer was excellent and the veal parmesan is always to perfection. Service was friendly and familiar; our server knows how to "read" her guests. The atmosphere is plain, no frills, not the type of place you want for a romantic night out; but definitely worth popping in with family and friends, or for a treat midweek.“
“Italian Kitchen where can I say so far you are the only one I gave every last star to simply because the food is good the atmosphere is good you guys are good you care about your customers you're polite you know you just go beyond you know so for that I thank you every chance I get a run coming down your way I holler oh my God the Italian Kitchen I'm heading over there sometimes you'll see me more than two or three times before my shift is over you are totally worth stopping in for and once again I thank you guys for being you Italian kitchen must stop in inParking: If anybody is any area of the Italian Kitchen I would strongly suggest stop ATM machine and pop in there will be happy you walked in the door they will take care of youWheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible“
“No one makes a better hoagie or cheesesteak. Anywhere. If they served crinkle cut fries it would be better than the ones they have. But it's a sandwich shop, so can't really go wrong grabbing chips instead. The sandwiches are the absolute best I've ever had.“
“If you’re looking for an amazing spot to grab some Italian food, make sure you check out this establishment. I’m usually a picky eater but EVERYTHING was amazing. From the drinks, the food, and the service, I will definitely be back. My favorite thing was the table side salads. Thank you so much!“
“Wilmington's Trolley Square has long been a haven for delicious discoveries, but Gaudiello's Italian Hoagies takes the crown for their porchetta sub. This isn't just a sandwich; it's a symphony of textures and flavors, a testament to the art of Italian charcuterie. The star, of course, is the porchetta. The impossibly crisp skin yields to layers of juicy, herb-infused pork. Each bite is a concerto of savory richness, the perfect harmony of fat and lean. Gaudiello's doesn't drown this masterpiece in unnecessary embellishments. A touch of garlicky broccoli rabe adds a delightful bitterness, while sharp provolone cheese cuts through the richness. A hint of peppery seasoning pulls everything together, leaving you wanting more. The bread, a perfect balance of crusty and yielding, deserves its own applause. It cradles the fillings without crumbling, providing the ideal platform for each mouthful. Every element sings in perfect pitch, resulting in a chorus of pure satisfaction.Gaudiello's porchetta sub isn't just lunch; it's an experience. It's a love letter to slow roasting, a celebration of artisanal ingredients. In a world of over-stuffed monstrosities, this sub is a masterclass in balance and restraint. If you find yourself in Wilmington, don't miss this operatic masterpiece. Just be prepared to stand in ovation – this porchetta will have you applauding with every delicious bite.“
“Absolutely some of the best tasting and closest to homemade Italian food I’ve had yet. Absolutely perfect to dine in or order out, my old Italian Nonna loves to order from here when she doesn’t feel like cooking. Love this place so much, the interior and atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. I always get the ravioli and it’s delicious every time. Parking isn’t ideal, then again that is not the restaurant’s fault. Wish I could go here more often, definitely a favorite spot.“
“I was impressed with this restaurant before even trying it out! When I looked this place up, just the pictures alone blew me away! So, when I actually went to see if it met up to my expectations, it surpassed them ? I now love this restaurant!“
“Their food is great but they don't accept ENT benefits and it's not fair to Americans on public assistance who don't extra money for food especially homeless people on Snap who only have these places to eat at they need to catch up with the rest of the country !“
“Our server Zoe was great, she was friendly and patient while we decided, because everything on the menu sounded good and we couldn't choose! The food was excellent, highly recommend trying the zucchini fries for a starter. We did not have to wait for a table and were seated and attended to quickly despite it starting to get busier. We will be back.“
“I am writing this review in hopes of receiving a response. My husband and I call in regularly to collect our favorite dishes, which is the beef lasagna and the lobster mac and cheese. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere pleasant. We think it is important to support the local economy and Toscana's has served the local community successfully for many years. There is one point of constructive feedback that we would like to offer. As a take-out item, the gelato I believe is not served authentically. Toscana's appears to be serving gelato as if it is the same as ice cream. An ice cream scooper is being used instead of a specific gelato utensil. This impacts the serving amount and the way it is presented.“
“This is my go to place for Italian and Americsn food. Nice atmosphere, clean ,well lit store with pleasant staff. My chicken salad on a kaiser roll was 4 stars. You can also call ahead and order. Their frozen section has a wide variety of foods and desserts to choose from at decent prices.☆☆☆☆☆“
“A nice little pizza shop, I’m happy to have found today at work. They serve a crisp thin crust pizza that isn’t too heavy on the sauce or cheese, and therefore not overly greasy as well. (I know pizza is subjective but that’s exactly how I like it). I thought it was delicious and will likely try a sandwich next time. I’d love to see a chicken ceasar wrap on the menu someday, but there’s plenty of options there now. Very friendly people, and fair prices too. It appears to be take-out only, but there’s a few outdoor tables for nice weather. Ample parking, order from the kiosk inside, credit accepted/cash appreciated. Highly recommended.“
“We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 30!!! Spectacular coordination with Tim. Good servers were efficient and attentive. The delicious food from bruschetta, Caesar salad, pasta entrees and cannolis had our guests raving. Thank you so much!!! You helped us kickoff the wedding weekend for Thomas and Julia with a smile, a beaming heart and Full belly!! Molly and Joseph Oresik Reeders, PA“
“Stopped in after a lot of people recommended it. Very friendly staff at the bar and the food came out fast. Was a pretty busy place for 4p on a Sunday. Hardly a seat left in the place. Onion rings were delicious and pizza was just ok. Cool spot to grab a slice or order off the menu. I honestly thought the slice pies looked better, and thinner. Not sure why that would be.“
“Had dinner here last night for the first time. It was busy and festive with a bustling energy. The addition of a very good piano player was also very nice! There were 9 of us and our server Martin was great and attentive and helpful with ordering! We all liked our meals very much! The roasted artichokes app and the Brussels were phenomenal! I had the salmon piccata which was cooked perfectly. I also tasted the shrimp and beans- so good!!!Highly recommend this place. It’s a little loud for an intimate conversation meal. But if that’s not an issue for you this place is perfect. Will definitely go back!!Dietary restrictions: One person in our party is gluten free. They had many dishes that were able to accommodate her.“
“Good calamari. Lunch combo is great for the money!! Our only comment is the Brio Pasta was, well, bland. Needed garlic or something. There were plenty of mushrooms, peppers, chicken. Added salt and still... Meh. Probably would be great after a day. Haha. Lasagna was very tasty! Perfect portion sizes since salad or soup came with it! Will return and try the Flatbread.“
“The rigatoni and sausage is great, as is the salmon. Both locations are very dog friendly, unlike Capers and Lemons (owned by the same folks. I make it a point to visit both Taverna locations, but will avoid Capers and Lemons, even though it is closer to my home. Highly recommend Taverna. Dog lovers? Stay away from Capers and Lemons.“
“First time going there tonight. Food was amazing. I had the chicken parm and my wife had shrimp linguini. Both meals were very good. Chicken parm was recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint. Huge portion and great taste. Shrimp linguini was great also. Their Limoncello Martini is my new favorite drink. Everything is made from scratch. Service was also great. Recommended meals based on taste and not price which was appreciated. Waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. we will definitely be going back we are already planning our next visit. I recommend anyone looking for good Italian food to try this place“
“We did not make a reservation as it was a last minute decision. It was a Saturday nite so that was our fault. We had a half hour wait. There is a small bar when you walk in and the bartender welcomes you to sit down. I only had a diet Coke and he did not charge for that in a plastic cup. Our waitress was great! Very personable. I ordered the Italian wedding soup. I have never had one with so many little meatballs! It was filling. I ordered cheese raviolis with a garlic and olive oil sauce and she asked if I wanted 6 or 8. I went for the 6 and after the soup, I saved the rest and had for lunch the next day. They are big and very good. The only issue was the time between our soup and entree was a little long. It appears to be a very popular place. Many people were celebrating birthdays etc while we were there. Most people had reservations and the longest I think I saw a party wait with reservations was maybe 10 mins. My son said it's his favorite Italian restaurant in the Wilmington area. I would definitely go again and make reservations!“
“We have both dined in and taken out.During dine in the food has always been great. We like the pizza, chopped salad and calamari the most.During our recent take out experience, huge disappointment. The pizza was cold, like not even attempted to keep warm during the time it was made to picked up and the calamari was a bit soggy and also cold. Not likely to get take out again.Parking: Street parking on busy street or busy neighborhood side streetsWheelchair accessibility: Tight indoor space. May be hard to navigate. Can’t speak for bathroom space.“
“Food was absolutely delicious at this little hole in the wall restaurant (take out mostly) in the heart of one of Pennsylvania’s many armpit towns (Marcus Hook, with Breezewood being another). The chicken catchitorie was absolutely a delight. I will return in the future. Oh, and there is a large free parking lot across the street from the restaurant to park in, so you don’t have to worry about the local yokels hassling you on the metered spaces on the main street. We dined in and that is why only 3 stars on atmosphere. It was clean but very spartan, no artwork or any thing, no fancy lighting, but again I feel this caters mostly to the takeout crowd.Parking: about 30 spots all unmarked, just park!“
“It's great having a BYOB so close to home and I've been impressed with the food the few times I've been here. Service has been good and the prices are very fair for the quality of food served. As others have mentioned, the owner is less than friendly but it hasn't detracted from the experience. Just a warning - it's typically quite loud since there aren't many soft surfaces to absorb sound.“
“Always solid pizza with some unique toppings. Ricotta, sausage and long hots is my personal favorite. Tried the wings and they were very good. Also had a great superbowl deal. Fair pricing. Have been about 7 times now and have always been happy with my meal! Usually do takeout but always clean and relaxing setting inside.“
“Special Christmas drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Garibaldi’s is next to Maxi's and they have a connecting inside door. You can take your cheesesteak to Maxi’s or you can take your beer to Garibaldi’s. It’s a big cheesesteak but in the picture you can see that it is dry. Maxi’s has beer but they allow smoking. The bartender was awesome. The young woman at Garibaldi’s was amazing. She made our cheesesteak on a garlic bread roll.“
“Our experience at Olive Garden celebrating my aunt's birthday was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration memorable. As we sang "Happy Birthday," the entire team surprised us by coming out with a beautifully decorated cake for my aunt. Their genuine enthusiasm and smiles made her feel incredibly special. A special shout out to Kristin on how she managed our difficult crowd. The service throughout the lunch was outstanding; the waitstaff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring our glasses were always filled and that we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes that satisfied everyone's taste buds. The ambiance was perfect for a family celebration, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere. The staff was also very accomodating for our vegetarian diets. What truly set this Olive Garden experience apart was the extra effort the staff put into making my aunt's birthday unforgettable. Their attention to detail and heartfelt gestures made us feel like valued guests. We left with full hearts and satisfied appetites, grateful for the wonderful memories created at Olive Garden. We'll undoubtedly cherish this celebration for years to come. Thank you to the entire Olive Garden team for making our family gathering so extraordinary!“
