I had the Banana Hammock and, of course, the Rum Runner, which was outstanding, but this Dockside Lemonade was cool and refreshing and welcomed. A little sweet as a heads up, but really a nice summer drink!

At the end of the day, this was a great way to finish my challenge and had a pleasant experience! For the record, if you are interested in the challenge. Go South Beach, Rockaway, Saltwater (for the views and true on-the-beach dining). End with a grouper sandwich (the best I had) at the Original and then cash in your passport at the next block at Off the Hook!“

“The Opal sol is beautiful and clean. It is a pleasure to stay here. The rooms are gorgeous and the view from your room cannot be beat. We just got back from 5 nights here and we were sad to leave. The employees were kind and helpful. I also highly recommend room service breakfast. It comes very fast and it’s perfectly hot and delicious.“

“Had a great experience at Frenchy’s! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was exactly what you’d want from a beach restaurant, and the service really made the visit stand out.

A special shoutout to JT and Kelsey behind the bar. They were friendly, attentive, and kept things running smoothly even when it was busy. They made everyone feel welcome, had great recommendations, and always seemed to have a smile on their faces. “I don’t go places twice on vacation, but after having a less than ideal experience at a nearby competitor, I decided to come back for the drinks and the Grouper sandwich! Courtney was my waitress, and even when slammed, she never forgot me. She was professional and did an outstanding job both times I ate with her.

As for the food, it was the best I had in Clearwater. I prefer Diner and Dive local eats compared to overpriced and pretentious restaurants. I had the seafood platter and the Grouper sandwich, and both were outstanding and grilled to perfection. I enjoyed my seafood scallops and grouper with green beans on the platter, but I LOVED my sandwich and fries!

“What a walk down memory lane this is!!! We haven’t been to Bobby’s Bistro, or its more upscale sister restaurant the Beachcomber in years. Twenty years ago, these two restaurants were the absolute “It” place, the best in Tampa. Amazingly, the decor is exactly the same as 20 years ago but somehow doesn’t look dated at all. The food was fantastic. We met George, our server, who is a bit of a celebrity, and he was super nice and gave me a supersized shot! Glad to give this notable establishment a great review!“

“The managers both Carlie and Justin were both very accommodating when I called to make a reservation for 20 to celebrate a birthday at the restaurant. Our server Devon did an outstanding job and was absolutely fine regarding our request for multiple checks. The food was simply delicious and the prices were reasonable. “Im a frequent visitor of the "left coast" beaches. This trip brought me to Clearwater for an afternoon Phils game at BayCare Ball Park....Stopped in Philly Joes before the game. Had a great initial feeling when we walked in when some local firefighters were enjoying their lunch. Always a good sign...Split a cheese steak fried onions and order Fries with the wifey. Had the steak with Joes homemade velvety smooth cheese sauce which was delicious. Also was provided with couple side cups filled with the cheese sauce to dip our fries. Steak was delicious and roll was OK. I'm spoiled living here in the Philly area as far as rolls go. Food was prepared and served by Joe himself who was behind the line. Place was incredibly clean which Joe took an incredible amount of pride in when we spoke to him for a few mins on our way out. Joe is a true NE Philly guy that's putting out a great product in the Clearwater area.“

“I've recently gone back to China 1 for Chinese take-out. There was a change in ownership and the food is MUCH better. The pork rolls are good. I love the chicken or beef curry. The hot & spicy soup is great! We ask for it hot & spicy (Chinese spicy) and they make it that way. We ask for the homemade hot mustard. Wow! If you went away because it wasn't so good in the past, you should try it again. You won't be disappointed.“

We had dinner there on a Thursday night - everything me and my girls had was delish. Then to top it off - they had karaoke there!!
