“This authentic Italian restaurant had been on my list for a while. Chef’s kiss to them showcasing how they make fresh pasta daily, I loved it. My bestie and I came in on a Friday night with no reservation and were promptly seated in the middle of the restaurant. The food, ambience, and service were outstanding. Handsdown one of the best meals of my life. I had the crab tortellini and my friend had the lasagna roll; both items that were on special. The lasagna roll was to die for, it tasted so homey! We also had an incredible apple butter cake with homemade caramel. Just wow! Compliments to the chef/owner and all staff. Everything was just quality! I absolutely cannot wait to come back with my husband to try the short rib agnolotti, the squid ink pasta and others.”

“Second time to Bern’s tonight! Excellent! The steaks are incredible! But what makes the whole experience worth it is the service!!! They really make you feel like family walking in the door, and treat you like absolute royalty. Our waiter, Phillip in the Cameo room tonight was truly PHENOMENAL! I wanted to have the guy pull up a chair and eat dinner with us, he was so friendly and such great company. The food is indescribably delicious! I’m not even sure how describe it. There’s layers of flavor to every single thing you order… steak, salad, soup, drinks… all of it! The dessert room is such a unique experience, as well! Everything is made from scratch. Our favorite dinner place in Florida!”

“I’m in Greece. No, not really. We just found the best Greek restaurant ever. It’s called Psomi. My goodness, so delicious. On February 20, our first time here, we had bread basket/psomi bread, le meunier butter, organic extra virgin olive oil, jam, and Greek scrambled with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, grilled baguette. We liked the restaurant so much we came back the next day. We had chicken souvlaki - Greek yogurt brined organic breast, tzatziki, tomato, red onion, stuffed with cut fries, wrapped in a warm pita. Then we came back again on Sunday February 23 for some Greek style breakfast.”

“My first time at a Brazilian Steakhouse and it was awesome. The ribeye and filet were my favorites of the night, but everything was really good. All you can eat quality cuts of steak, lamb, chicken, shrimp, salmon, and pork for only $62.50..yes please! My wife who is not a big eater had the salad bar, which had a huge selection of many different foods...calling it a salad bar is far far inadequate. As for the meat coming to your table, don't be shy about asking for what you want if you are not seeing it. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. They even indulged my odd request for ketchup. My wife said the lobster bisque was the best she ever had!”

“Isekai is a small, friendly, family-run operation with a creative menu and top-quality ingredients. This was the first place I found in Tampa that offers toro (fatty tuna) and real wasabi. Everything I’ve tried on their menu so far, from sushi and onigiri to tempura, gyoza and chicken karaage, has been top notch. They also serve coffee, tea and boba drinks - my favorite is the Mango Passionfruit Tea with the mango chunks in the bottom. The atmosphere is cute and casual, with anime art and two screens showing anime and live action food or music videos. There are also tables available outside. I highly recommend this place.”

After saying it was our first time in Tampa as well as her son's restaurant, she gave us what she thought we'd love. The food and Flan was AMAZING!! I don’t mind putting on nice clothes, but I hate pretense. I found staff to be welcoming and relaxed. The food was superb every dish was prepared perfectly - I had favorites, but all were excellent. Personally, I don’t care about additional stars since there is more focus on service and extraneous items for additional Michelin stars - if it is food you are interested in, Ebbe is outstanding.”

“This is real authentic Chinese cuisine more specifically it’s northern Chinese cuisine. Very similar to what you would find in Beijing or Shenyong. They had a great selection of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, dishes, and skewers. They also had more exotic fair, such as squid, frogs, chicken feet, pork belly, beef heart, beef tripe, and duck bleed. It’s pretty awesome! The service was great even late at night and we really loved the cucumber salad and the grilled eggplant. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine.”

“I can’t believe it’s been over 3 years since Noble Rice opened and this was our very first visit! It absolutely blew us away. The service was impeccable. Hostess Angel greeted us warmly, and our server Allison A. was simply outstanding ~ easily one of the best experiences we’ve had anywhere in Tampa. We started with drinks, and every single one was perfect. The Lychee Martini was smooth and floral, the Espresso Martini had just the right kick, and the Haku ~ their version of a Moscow Mule ~ was phenomenal. My husband is a self-proclaimed Moscow Mule connoisseur, and he gave it high praise. The food? Next-level. The Tuna Carpaccio was the star of the show ~ literally melted in our mouths. We also loved the Classic Poké, Tempura Poké Rolls, and the Tekka Roll ~ all fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with different types of soy causes for each. The only item that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the Hanabi Maki ~ still very fresh, just not our personal favorite. I’m sure many others enjoy it! What really stood out was the service ~ something that has unfortunately been on the decline across Tampa in recent years. But at Noble Rice, everyone went above and beyond. Allison didn’t just take our order, she asked thoughtful questions about our taste preferences, made drink and dessert recommendations (the Panna Cotta dessert was heavenly), and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Our only wish? Larger portions ~ because everything was so good, we didn’t want it to end. An amazing 18th anniversary dinner!! We’ll absolutely be back. “This place was so delicious, we came in twice in one week. So impressed with the quality of food and the ambiance. I have been a fan of Bern's Steak House since 2015, however, we have never eaten at their sister restaurant. Last week was our 1st time visiting Haven. It was our son's birthday and we decided to try this restaurant featuring New American small plates, wine & cocktails as per recommendation of my friend. Tuna Sashimi, Hamachi Sashimi, Shaved Beef Taco, Seared Foie Gras, Cheese platter and Coal Grilled Octopus as appetizers were all 10/10. As for the main course we opted in for Glacier 51 Sea Bass (O.M.G.), Arctic Char, 8oz Filet Mignon (perfectly trimmed) and 10 oz Dry-Aged Strip. Drinks, 'Margarita', 'Lemon Drop' and 'Moscow Mule', were good as well with the exception of the 'Duck Duck Jeep' (it was an odd one). We did not try their desserts (both times) as 1st time visiting we brought a cake for our son's birthday, however, we were never super impressed with Berns' dessert room. I know it may sound weird to many as they are known for their desserts, but truthfully, we have had desserts at other local restaurants that we prefer over Berns'. Service by Madeline K. was on point, however, she accidentally forgot to place the main course item for our birthday boy, so he ended up getting his filet about 15 minutes after everyone else received their meals. It did not spoil our night as she brought out the cake with large candle with sparkles and it was fantastic! Our son was so surprised and I was able to capture some awesome pictures of him with his cake and candles. Overall an excellent experience by everyone: valet guy, bussers, food runners, hostesses and the wait staff. We also appreciated the fact that we were seated at a larger table/couch with brighter lights vs more of a romantic, darker tables. Our second time we requested to sit outside which was nice as it was a pleasant evening. Haven's tacos are my husband's favorite in Tampa and we ordered 16 of them that night. If you are not up to dressing up in your best outfits, but would like a nice quality meal, Haven is your spot!”

“After a year of waiting, I was finally able to try Kosen for the first time. Absolutely worth the wait. The food was meticulously curated, and the service was top notch. Far too often, you are beaten to death with the same classic pairings that you have enjoyed elsewhere. That is not the case here. Many of the dishes included ingredients from the laundry list of items that they fermented in house. What a great way to ensure the experience is uniquely their own. It seemed like each member of their service team had stopped by to introduce themselves and ask if they could do anything to enhance the experience. The courses were paced well, and service was attentive. In a world of cookie cutter omakase and sushi restaurants popping up and offering little to distinguish themselves from eachother, Kosen was refreshingly original. The Michelin recognition is well deserved and I look forward to my next visit. Huge thank you to Dakota, Andrew and the rest of the team for making such a memorable experience.”

“My family and I visited Olive Tree By Chef Yousef restaurant for the first time yesterday, and we were BLOWN away by the food- so much so that I felt it was definitely worth mentioning in this group! It's a bit of a drive as it's located in Tampa, but definitely worth the drive if you LOVE Middle Eastern food! 🇯🇴♥️🇯🇴 Absolutely everything we ordered was PERFECTION! The quality for food and the juiciness of the meats were unmatched. My favorite being the Mansaf, the national dish of Jordan was phenomenal - the lamb was so tender, it falls off the bone! The hot yogurt sauce that comes with it was so rich in flavor and creamy, it was AHHHHmazing! So rich with flavors I've never experienced before but quickly fell in love with! We also tried the Olive Tree feast which comes with a little bit of everything- it came with salad, hummus, baba ghanoush, garlic sauce as well as a mix of meats. We're talking filet mignon, kufta shish kebab, chicken kebab!!! Absolutely EVERY SINGLE THING we tried was SOOO delicious! We will definitely be eating there again soon! You don’t have to go to the depths of the sea to find a Pearl that genuinely highlights the flavors, beauty, and aroma of the sea, satisfying your palate with every bite. -- As a seasoned traveler who has explored 68 countries and 36 states, I approach restaurant reviews with four primary criteria: taste, presentation, ambiance, and service. My goal is to provide an impartial perspective, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects of dining at the establishment. -- 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 — The restaurant offers a cozy and sophisticated ambiance both indoors and outdoors, creating a vibrant vibe and a memorable experience for all occasions. Well-defined spaces throughout the restaurant and an artistic outdoor design offer opportunities for intimate dinners, social gatherings, and enjoyable spaces to share with friends, family, business professionals, and loved ones. -- 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 —We were greeted by the smiling hostess, who led us to a table by the window. Our server was quick to introduce herself, attentive, and a wealth of information to help us navigate the menu and find the best dining choices for our expectations and preferred food choices. -- 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 – We dined there during lunch, which provides a large variety of snacks, starters, shellfish, sandwiches, and entrees. We started with the Smoked Whitefish Spread and Garlic Shrimp before moving to our entrees, which included Scallops and Atlantic Salmon. -- 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬 – Unfortunately, this is where there was a slight misstep. When ordering the garlic shrimp, the initial thought is that you would be presented with shrimp with an infusion and obvious flavoring of garlic. To our surprise, the dishes were disguised with an intense red pepper flavor, which created a discerning spice that was welcome. The heart of the dish was lost as all you could truly taste was the spiciness of the red pepper – failing to elevate the flavors of the shrimp and the garlic. What was an additional disappointment was that it was very difficult to enjoy the Whitefish Spread with the lingering taste of the spiciness of the red peppers. After guzzling down some water (and whiskey), I was able to enjoy the true elegance of the Whitefish Spread, which highlighted an amazing balance of smokiness, savory flavors, and creamy/smooth texture. The dish was even more elevated with onions, sweet peppers, capers, and sesame seeds. -- 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 – Only one word could truly describe the entrees – PERFECT. The chef was able to truly highlight the freshness, favors, and tenderness of the salmon and the scallops while pairing the seafood with the perfect blend of deep, complex flavors with purees that provide smooth textures, sweet flavors, and subtle buttery notes that complement the seafood rather than overpowering the dish. From the visual execution to the perfected flavor combinations, it offers sophistication and memorable taste with every bite! -- Simply put – just slightly short of perfection. While the dining experience had a minor imperfection, the entrees truly allowed us to walk away with an unforgettable experience that has us yearning to come back for more.”

I would compare the passion that Chef Eric and his team bring to the culinary space to that of Steve Irwin and the way his eyes would light up while talking about wildlife conservation. The minute you walk into the guest dining area, you are wrapped in the warmth of welcoming intimacy as the team greats you by name and gently guides you to your carefully selected seat. Through basic observation, you can tell the Chef purposely designed the space to make the guests the focus of the evening. This is clearly shown in how the illumination in the room is focus on the guest seats in comparison to the rest of the space. The contrast of the natural wood counters against the shadowy background provides an understated grace and refined simplicity without the pretentious nature occasionally found in fine dining. The music is modern, melodic, and upbeat. It aptly fills the room without being overbearing so that conversation can be had at soft levels. The cleanliness of the restaurant is crisp from front entry to rear restroom. With that being said, the food is the star of the show. Simply put, it is an eye opening and daring journey. Chef Eric takes you through his mind as he lays his very thoughts on the plate in front of you. Each course is assembled with intent and purpose. The dishes expose the guests to gastronomical revelations that will leave you wanting more and forcing you to ask questions like; "What kind of madman created this and how/where do I get more of it?" Chef Eric has a story to tell, and each dish is an enthralling chapter of a book you never want to end. There is a sense of tradition and innovation that accentuates the culinary bravery that is Chef Eric and his team of exceptionally talented and personable chefs. My single, solitary negative is that I can never eat enough.”

“Lilac was a treat and a great opening to our first night in Tampa. Excellent and knowledgeable service. The ambience was intimate and pleasant to the eye. The food was exquisite, and well balanced.

I highly recommend the pork and octopus dish as the appetizer, as well as the duck in the main course menu. The peppercorn on the duck, mixed with the other components of the dish was a fun journey to the tongue. As for the dessert, we chose the chocolate soufflé as to share, and it was not a regret. The pistachio ice cream (amazing!) and the soufflé paired well perfectly as it melted in my mouth. It was not too sweet nor too heavy surprisingly. Such a delight!
