“Went here for my 25th birthday celebration! My first Omakase experience which also happens to be a Michelin Star restaurant. It is $$$ experience ofc. Valet only and in the heart of midtown.
The restaurant itself is small but beautiful. Simple and elegant design. A very authentic experience. The service was immaculate. There is staff on the floor throughout the experience to answer any questions and to clean up. They were so nice that I asked for a Coke (yes I know) and they got it from next door.
The dishes were well curated and we had a wonderful chef who served us each piece of nigiri by hand. Each with a different flavor profile. The dessert was chef’s kiss. Why I deducted a point is because it wasn’t the best food I have ever had. It was unique yes, but the food was very mediocre. I would not pay that price again for the food I got.
I highly recommend for a unique experience!“

“We loved this. I hope it becomes an Atlanta institution where we're still going here 20 years from now. This restaurant is a bit of a splurge or special occasion type place but totally worth it.
Our server Andrew was great. Everything we ate was delicious and the drinks were fabulous. It scored top points in all categories. My only complaint was that even though the restaurant wasn't full it is very loud in the space. As a coursed meal the pace was great and on the faster side, which I loved.
We both did the 8 course Omesake. My husband's favorite course was the final steak prepped with the cavier and garlic chip. I liked the steak with the egg yolk, ginger, chive the best. The Slider was perfection and a really fun way to end a meal. The only disappointment was the Lobster rice. It was a delicious dish with potential but a little dry and rubbery. I think this one needs work. The sashimi was so fresh and the accompinmets were awesome. Loved the starter trio, I could eat a million of the tacos. So many stars across this meal!
Based on all the bad/mediocre restaurants in Atlanta this is a standout and should go on your list.“

“Omakase? More like Omaorgasm because that’s what it sounded like every time 8 adults was given the next course or dish. Every time we took a bite of whatever Yun gave us we closed our eyes and sat back in our chairs and started moaning. Hell I don’t think I’ve heard my wife moan that much before but then again I don’t think I’ve moan that much either. Needless to say we can’t wait to come back and try it again and again and again...Mmmmmmm oooooooooo mmmmmmm lol“

“My fellow traveler and I stopped by on our way home to Virginia. It was a long day of travel, delayed flights, we just wanted to sit down and chill. We didn’t expect much out of an airport restaurant… But we were both blown away. Our server, Tarvis, was charming, professional, knowledgeable, and exceptional. The BLT with bacon jam, and the rice pudding with cinnamon and peaches was superb. (I could’ve eaten a whole jar of the bacon jam.) Tarvis, thank you for making two weary travelers leave your restaurant with pep in their step Keep on shining your light. And to any traveler who is leery of a place that serves a hamburger and a sushi roll… Fear not. This place is great.“

“My daughter absouletly loves Japanese cuisine. We took her to TOMO to celebrate her 21st BDay. I must say all the reviews online did not come close to capturing the undeniable reality, TOMO is simply the best Japanese resturant in Atlanta if not the entire US. If you are debating between TOMO and anywhere else, stop wasting your time and book a reservation. You will thank me for it“

“Classic Japanese restaurant. The fish quality is on par with the very expensive restaurants in town. This is just a no frills really solid sushi spot.
We typically order the fried octopus appetizer and 21 pieces of Sashimi. We get out the door for around $100.
I'd be willing to bet they have the same fish suppliers as Umai and Eight.
Service is generally quick and the service is good.“

“So, you’re looking for the best sushi in the city. Well, good news, this is it.
Umi has amazing cocktails and incredible food.
The ingredients they use are top notch, and the chef uses them to craft unforgettable dishes.
My recommendation: surrender and go with the omakase. Let the chef take you on a culinary adventure of fine Japanese cuisine. You may encounter some dishes that may not appeal to your palate, but you’ll also eat some of the best sushi you’ll ever have.
And if you’ve got room for dessert, do yourself a favor and get the donut. Don’t worry, it’s small enough that you can get by without sharing it, which you won’t want to do, because it’s so tasty!“

“Very delicious, the food is very fresh, which is something that is always expected in a Japanese restaurant. It has a varied menu but still it is not too much, great options to eat elevated cuisine.
Excellent to go with friends or a partner.“

“This is one of my favorite places. I've been coming here for years. However, the rolls have gotten so small and wish they go back to the old calamari it was the best it was chopped into single tentacles. Now it's not, and the batter doesn't crisp right it's soggy. One visit, they asked me if i had it before cause people said its fishy. I hope that's not the reason they changed because it was so good. Calamariri is my favorite food. The service is always top-tier, and food is delicious.“

The food at Gekko, from.my experience, was phenomenal. The chicken hibachi was perfect. Large portions. Fresh and flavorful without the greasy aftertaste. Highly recommend.“

“Himitsu is hands down one of Atlanta’s best-kept secrets, and for good reason—it’s the perfect blend of sophistication, creativity, and atmosphere. The vibe is upscale yet unpretentious, making it the perfect spot for an intimate night out or a refined prelude to an evening in Buckhead.
Alex, one of the mixologists, is truly a master of his craft. Every cocktail feels like a work of art, balancing innovative techniques with a respect for classic flavors. Shoutout to Roderick and Brendan, whose hospitality and cool energy make every visit unforgettable. And let’s talk about the playlist—every track hits, setting the tone for a laid-back yet elevated experience.
Himitsu is one of those spots you almost don’t want to share—it’s that good. But it’s definitely worth the hype for those lucky enough to make it in. Just don’t forget: this is a place to bring your best vibes and your best company. Cheers to keeping the magic alive!“

“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“
“Intimate omakase-style cocktail experience aboard a 40 ft refurbished vintage tour bus with a Karate Kid theme?! Sign. Me. Up!
Tiger Sun was a RIOT! It was kitschy-fun with (enough) tasty sips & bites (to make it worth checking out). The music was poppin’, the service was great, & the VIBES were on point.
#KimTips: Go with someone you don’t mind sharing food & drinks with so you can sample both “Wax On” & “Wax Off” Menus.
Tiger Sun is located behind Muchacho which is its own vibe at night (thank you, Mr DJ). Pop in before your 8:30pm reservation for those corn ribs!“

“Japanese with a Korean flair. Great prices + great quality + _extremely_ great service. Surprisingly, they’ve been a “near-kept secret” in Atlanta for nearly 50 years. (Since 1970?)We’ve been eating here & picking up more-and-more regularly for only the past 3 years.“

“Wow! The new management/owners of Wasabi have made great changes. The food (especially the sushi) is delicious - everything was fresh and presented in a lovely way. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The staff is efficient and the service is fast. We stopped in for a quick dinner and it was delicious and fast. It's still a great place for a relaxed dining experience, but the new team is really firing on all cylinders. Our server, Alex, was great. Highly recommend for a relaxed dining experience or a quick delicious dinner.“

“The food is usually delicious except for the last time I went. The hibachi grill was too hot and all of the food had a burnt taste to it. I probably won't be back for a while. I'm very disappointed because this was one of my favorite spots for hibachi and sushi.“

“Super friendly nice lady.
We were able to try all the dishes because we didn't know what we wanted to eat at first.
Everything was freshly prepared and tasted great too.
The prices are very fair.
We would definitely come again.
Thank you very much.“
“They have catered for 2 of my events and have always been super professional and very reasonably priced. If we are talking about the food, their food is by far some of the best hibachi I’ve had in Atlanta. Their sauces especially the Diablo sauce are amazing !!!! Put Diablo sauce on your shrimp and chicken and thank me later!“

“Love Ru Sans! Whether it's this location or other location, I know I'll find something to eat. They have a variety of food from raw sushi to cook ones, to ramen, udon, rolls, yakitori etc!!! Their calamari is one of my fave dishes. And I get their dollar sushi like spicy chicken, salmon etc...the spicy yakiudon is probably my new fave... That's what's in the pic, which is customizable!
Dietary restrictions: I told them i had shrimp allergy and they were quick to make sure it was known.
Parking: It's in a plaza so there are parking but parking closed to the restaurant can be limited as it's in a corner and the spots close to the entrance might be all occupied“
