“Omg, the bowls were amazing. This place is literally a hole in the wall (there’s an order window, and that’s it) and the food is incredible! Best place I’ve been to in Kauai! Well worth stopping by, particularly if you’re looking for vegan options.“

“This little food truck is a gem. It moves around, but you can follow their social media or call to see where it will be. We tracked them down one night at the Hanapepe Friday Night Festival & Art Night, but they were already out of Kalbi. We decided to wait and try them on another day. We found the truck in Wailua and ordered the Kalbi, pork belly with white rice and fried saimin and the Kalua pork with Korean BBQ chicken, white rice and fried saimin. The man working alone in the truck is the owner and he was very friendly. We called in our order ahead of time so we didn't have to wait very long for our order. It was hot and the portions were huge. But most importantly, it was excellent! The price was very good too for the amount of food we got. We sure had delicious leftovers! If you enjoy a good, hearty meal, give the HOKU food truck a try. You won't be sorry. There was only one picnic table to sit at (which was occupied) so we ate in our car at the peaceful Pa'ula'ula Historic Site free parking lot down the street. We will surely seek Hoku's out again in the future.“

“As always, everything was perfect. We went for Mothers Day Brunch and the food was great! Omelet station, chocolate fondue station and a BYO Waffle station, along with all the buffet options. Fish and prime rib were perfect! The waffles were in a warming dish and I was concerned they'd be soggy. They were not. Somehow they managed to have a little crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Lots of yummy toppings made for a perfect desert for us. Service was warm and friendly. All made for a very special day.“

“We ate here four times for breakfast while staying at a nearby resort- it’s that good! We pretty much had everything in the menu and it’s all delicious (the French toast was a stand out). Food is prepared very quickly with fresh, high quality ingredients. Portions are generous.“

“Wow this was the best poke bowl in Kauai. They had several different flavors, toppings, sides and a huge portion for the price. No wonder there was a line wrapped around the building. I highly recommend picking up and eating at the pool/beach.“

“I had the mahi-mahi with asparagus and mashed potato potatoes I think. The fish was good, but it needed the sauce that the mahi came in, which was fantastic. Asparagus cooked perfection. I had a side salad which was actually surprisingly big but it’s just iceberg lettuce carrots nothing special. I’m not a big beer fan so I didn’t buy any beer so I can’t help you there.“

“I love supporting the culinary student program at Mark's Place but we go there because the food is really good ! The Ahi Tofu burger wrapped in lettuce is my favorite! Try the Fish or Teri Chicken if you're really hungry ! Plates are huge with rice Mac salad and green tossed salad too . You can ask for tossed green salad only and they are happy to accommodate the substitution. I love all of their sauces and the salad dressing is perfect !“

Went there right before closing time (around 2:30pm) post Waimea canyon trip. There was still a few people ahead of us ordering. Seating was a bit tight. Highly recommend this place if you are near the Waimea area.“

“I have never left a review for any restaurant but our incredible experience made me feel the need to dive into these foreign waters - even went to the extent of creating a Google account to do so:My wife and I had the most spectacular experience at La Spezia tonight during our honeymoon.The atmosphere, staff and food were all absolutely incredible (highly recommend the lasagna and special barrel buffalo trace (if available)). The owner was the friendliest guy we have ever encountered at a restaurant - he did everything in his capacity to make our experience special and did the same for those around us.11/10 would recommend and hope to have the luxury of coming back again one day!“

They have the coolest pre-show activities, the best photographer, and some of the tastiest luau food we've ever had.I highly recommend splurging for the VIP tickets. You'll get the best seats, a special appetizer, and first crack at the buffet.The show is fantastic and quite enthralling. And the location is amazing. “So good and such a great deal especially compared to some of the other touristy places on the island.. Quick and easy as well, and tastes very authentic and delicious. Chicken adobo was to die for, I loved the noodles as well. I’m not even sure what the other thing I got was but it was so good, you can’t go wrong with anything.“

“Filipino food is delicious..the lumpia, is delicious. Just like if we made it ourselves. I come from a big Filipino family. This food is definitely delicious…the pancit, chicken, pork adobo, the fried chicken and barbecue chopped pork was delicious. We ate here twice during our 7 day visit. If we were closer, probably more. They have the the nicest people who work there too. My husband accidentally left his bag there with cash, credit card, driver’s license and wallet inside. My husband did not know he left it until later in the day. He had his cell phone on him. We retraced our step from the beginning, Aaron’s restaurant was the first stop we made that day. When we got back to out hotel in Lihue, we called them and they had it. Luckily, it was the people at Aaron’s restaurant that found it and kept it safe until we called. Our trip, would have been a disaster . Again thank you for the delicious Filipino food and for keeping my husband valuables safe. Honest, hardworking, friendly and nice people.“

“Visited with a party of 8 for breakfast, a were seated in about a half hour. I personally had the Loco Mocco for the first time, it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Others in the group had the Banana and Macadamia nut pancakes and would also say that they are one of the best things they have had in a long time.“

I only marked a 4 star rating because the flies are pretty out of hand. Enjoy it but be prepared to defend your plate. “The breakfast buffet was incredible. Everything I had was delicious. I started with eggs benedict, pork hash, frittata and bacon. All were incredible fresh, warm and beyond delicious. The bacon was some of the best I’ve ever had. I fished with two plates of pancakes and French toast topped with whipped butter, toasted coconut, chopped macadamias and warm coconut syrup. It was to die for. They have a small bar with various concentrated juice shots. I had the carrot/cantaloupe/ginger and the green apple/celery/kale. They were both like shots of energy and very, very good. Our server, Jean was so friendly and helpful not only with food suggestions but places to visit on the island, a truly great server. It is well worth the price and we might go back tomorrow because it was so good. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry. I highly recommend it.“

“What a special place. It is all outdoor seating but it’s all covered as well. There was live Hawai’i music which was lovely. The service was fantastic. Perfectly timed. The drinks looked amazing. I had the island flower cocktail and it was perfectly delicious. I had the filet with a lobster tail. It was hands down the best lobster I’ve ever had. The cocktail nut shrimp were large and perfectly coated with batter.“

I always like the taro and potato chips, but forgot how good the ulu was. I've had ulu chips elsewhere and we make them and it's always oily...but not at Taro Ko. Whatever they do is great. Glad I bought 2 bags ulu this trip (8 total to give as omiyage)...“

“I always enjoy Verde. I normally have 1.5 hours to kill while waiting for my kids practice to end. Always get the bfast burrito or the adovado burrito with red and green sauce with a side of habanero hot sauce. Some times that sauce is either hot or not. Margarita game is on point recommend getting it with a lihing rim job. ? The stacked enchilada is a must. Also the new ube churros with ube sugar and ube butter sauce are amazing but the churro is more like a malasadas dough than a churros batter“
