“I don’t care for the regular cookies, but I like their thin cookies. I also really like their cakes, pies, dessert cups, and brownies. The only thing that I really dislike is that when you pre-order it’s not always available. What is the point of pre-ordering if your items are not available when you pick it up?! They should hold your order on the side to make sure you get what you paid for. This happened to me three times already.”

Our server, Kyle, was energetic, passionate, and truly went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We also loved that Noe was so welcoming and kid-friendly for our sweet girls, ages 3 and 5. We had such a wonderful time, and this was by far the best meal we've had during our stay in Ko Olina. “If you do any luau here… do this one at Aulani. When aulani first opened they had a luau of sorts on the lawn on some nights with music and hula and it was great. They then started the Ka Wa’a a luau and really made it better. The first time on Oahu in 2011 we did the Paradise Cove luau which was very touristy to say the meat and the food was alright. The Aulani luau feels more authentic and the food is hands down better quality- think 4 star restaurant Hawaiian food! The show can’t be beat and the pre show activities are perfect. Spring for the premium tickets for better seating, earlier access and the free foto.
This is always our must do the last 3x we have visited Aulani now.

There is a Disney twist to this luau but they story telling is beautiful and makes you feel like a part of the Hawaiian culture!

Update 5/24/26: still a great luau on this trip! Bonus if you get a room overlooking that area of Aulani you can watch from your balcony. Shout out to Rod- the best bartender!”

“In the stress of moving off island and living in a hotel room with my two animals this restaurant is the highlight of my day. Everyone is extremely friendly, the drinks are amazing, and the food is delicious. Thank you for being my haven!”

“Beachfront dining with excellent service, unbeatable lagoon views, and decent food. Overall, the food was very nice plated and great flavors, but in my opinion every dish was slightly salty, not a deal breaker but certainly could be a little less heavy handed. I would definitely come back again but hope everything would be a little bit more dialed in to make it 5/5 stars.

Kambucha squash with miso caramel: great flavor and great texture but sauce was again very seasoned. 8/10

NY strip steak: perfectly cooked medium rare with nice crunchy bits on top and very tender. It was served with a few sauces that while indeed salty again, in this case it worked and the salt let the beef flavor shine. 9/10 would definitely come back again for this.

KFC cauliflower: korean fried iteration of cauliflower it was spicy, sticky, crunchy, sweet and definitely was one of the table favorites. 9/10

Sunset roll: standard sushi roll with crab and fish on top. It was good and fresh. 8.5/10

Beef, pork, mushroom skewers: the pork belly was great and the sauce was tasty and not overly salty, my favorite of the three. The beef was decent but did not really compare to the steak we had so having them side by side made it kind of underwhelming. The mushrooms were good but kind of small for the price compared to the others. 7.5/10

Shoyu eggplant: eggplant was plump and tasty with a definite soy sauce taste. Kind of verged on the salty side but considering shoyu was in the name it definitely delivered on that front. 8/10

Shrimp toast: fried Japanese milk bread with shrimp and a tangy sauce and salad on top. Great crunch and flavorful shrimp but again the sauce was verging on overly salty. That said, we all did enjoy this dish and would order it again. 8.5/10

Fresh caught fish with crispy skin over rice with consumme: this dish was the only dish that was not overly salty and I thought was delicious, well balanced and had nice delicate flavors. My one nitpick was the skin did not come out crispy as advertised. 8/10

Scallops: Three scallops served over a cream sauce with rice cakes and salmon eggs. The scallops and sauce were the star and very tasty on its own, however, when eaten with the ikura, again it followed the trend of overly salty so I kind of avoided it. The rice cakes were kind of just there and was surprisingly bland considering the aforementioned saltiness. Overall, while the scallops and sauce were nice, the dish was a little underwhelming for the high price and small amounts of scallops ($16 per scallop). 7/10

In summary, most dishes had high and lows, but with the great service and views this place still offers a lot of value, I just think it has some kinks to work out.”

“Tiny but mighty for sure!! You know it's amazing when the menu covers the wall!! Local specialties like the Loco Moco and Mac nut waffle are a must try!! The portions are huge! Definitely shareable. Upgrade your dish with their fried rice!! The malasada pancakes were quite popular, but i chose the waffle instead. There is a line and place is a hole in the wall type of restaurant, but it does go fast. The girls are excellent waitresses and they are constantly keeping the place clean which is a huge plus for me! They have nice music too. Parking is a bit hit and miss since there are other businesses in the same center, but you'll find something. They do not have a restroom. There is a shared one in the building though.”

“I try to eat a bowl of ramen in every city I travel to and there is absolutely nothing I have tried in my American ramen journey that compares to the absolutely insane flavors Tanaka delivers. The most rich, full bodied and flavorful broth. Perfect texture of noods. The black garlic addition is just… ridiculously perfect. One of my favorite parts about coming back to Ko’Olina is literally Tanaka Ramen. I would face plant into a bowl of this every.day.of.my.life if I could.

“Rather you're visiting from a neighboring hotel, local or staying at the Four Seasons like myself, this is a great place to hang. You get poolside vibes with a view of the beach. Over the course of 5 days, the staff was fun and competitive. Shout out to Brandy, Daniel, Trent, Heidi, Ryan, Chad, Christian in particular for their deliciously tasting drinks. Shout out to Corina for excellent service at the cabana one of those days! The food is also good. I've had the Fish & Chips, Kalua nachos (nachos w/Kalua pork on the side), double burger to name a few. Fish & Chips are the go-to.”

“This was a recommendation from our hotel and we came back two more times. It is a pleasant quiet neighborhood. We ate inside twice and outside once which I we preferred. My wife enjoyed the “Westside Burger” which she enjoyed. On other nights she had the excellent fish and chips and a very good pasta dish. I had some rather disappointing fish tacos but the next two nights I really enjoyed the “Bouillabaisse “! Our servers were excellent. The only disappointment was our passing up the great Bakery items on display.”

“Found this place just driving through the mall the other week. You can take out bento plates or sit on their 3 tables that they have. You just choose your plate and go so really fast. What's great is that if you get their large bento plate you get a free water! Whenever we're in the area we go here for a quick grab & go, especially when going to the beach. Friendly staff and parking is just the shopping area lot so lots of stalls. They also offer stamp card rewards so remember to get one & bring it every time!”

Also while we were there we saw they had some newer menu items since the last time we visited. We are planning another trip back soon to try some of the newer items. Not fully understanding all of the menu options, the owner, was so friendly, offered information about the types of fresh food he had and even offered us samples of the Ahi poke. Once a nay sayin skeptic, I’m now a true believer in raw fish as an amazing meal. I can’t say enough about how tasty this food was. We also had the Shrimp Tempura, Ahi Katsu and Limo Oi’o. All were absolutely some of the best food we had in over a week in Hawaii.”
