Chinatown has some of the best restaurants on the island and Fete is one of them. Everything Ive had at Fete has been extremely fresh and made to perfection. I can't say enough good things about the chef and the friendly attentive staff. Service was excellent - Justin and the entire team made every course of the 5 special. The food was paired with a different cocktail for each course and it was perfect. Each course was a culinary adventure. Even though it's an intimate environment and you are close to the kitchen, the team works quietly and so seamlessly it's like a work of art. “This was my first time here. The service was phenomenal. None of the drinks seemed appealing but all looked tasty. The ahi cigar and the mushroom and cheese tart were a must try. Worth every bite. They're open for breakfast and lunch.They have good quality food prices are moderate $$$I had the best Loco Moco with Wagyu beef burger and crab cake, fried rice and Gravy.What stands out about this Loco Moco is the gravy and the fried rice. It was delicious.My wife had the strawberry salad, it has delicious strawberry vinaigrette dressing and pecans.And her friend Peter had a aji salad it was huge.The portions are large and it is worth the money ?The restaurant is small so you may find yourself waiting in line outside. You can also do takeout orders too. They are getting a great reputation a lot of people know about this place. “We had an absolutely amazing experience! I ordered the vegan 4 course and my friend had the Chef's 10 course. First of all, it's difficult to find a vegan course menu from a fine dinning restaurant, the taste was outstanding! From the, beet salad, curried chow fun noodles, chickpea Madras over rice and finally the mango tapioca..every dish was perfection! My friend enjoyed every dish as well she said everything was absolutely delightful. She especially had high praises for the Samoan crab shumai, duck confit katsu bao, squid luau agnolotti and the condensed, flavorful, out of this world 90 day dry age beef.The strawberry panna cotta was to die for! First unsure if she could finish a 10 course meal but she finished everything happily! We had the most delightful first class dinner, thank you PAI Honolulu. “A good friend of mine and I meet for lunch once a month. I've only been to Merriman's for dinner and had a great experience. Lunch proved to be just as good an experience. I ordered the prime roast beef sandwich and didn't expect it to be exactly like prime rib, so it was a little too raw for me. I asked the server if he could ask the kitchen to make it medium or medium well and within a few short minutes, he brought it back perfectly made. It was really good and the rosemary fries were out of this world! The service was outstanding with continuous refills of iced tea and water, and the atmosphere relaxing and quiet! Would definitely go back! =)“

More annoying was the Mariachi band playing loudly at the taco place across the street (drowned out the pleasant music at Merriman's). We'll eat inside next time. My wife's Makai special (Kauai lobster) was superb. My peppercorn steak frite was almost impossible to cut. Sharper knives are needed! Be sure to have the anchovies with the Ceasar salad--a great experience.“

“The best fish and chips I've ever had! My women's softball team stayed in the cabins and ate here for dinner. They accommodated our huge party in such a short notice. We had a few young waiters that hustled to take our order and bring our food out in a timely manner. Unfortunately, one of our teammates did not receive her food. The Manager was called over to our table, and he was very quick to make things right. We loved the customer service, and apologize for some people in our party was not happy. But the 20% tip is automatically included, so maybe he didn't care.“
