“The food was off the hook, good amout for the price. Only reason i didn't give a 5 cause Customer service was bad. Even if your having a bad day, or getting slammed with orders. Atleast great the Customer with aloha or welcome. On the phone rolling his eyes, like i was interupting him. Food can be great, but Customer service can ruin the taste. Also, if ordering on the app it does ask for different amounts of tipping. I'm glad i chose the smallest. If you don't pick, it don't get the online discount....hmmm?“

BENTO & CURRY Japanese Curry •
1000 Kamehameha Hwy #213, Pearl City

“Went to the one located in the Pearl Highlands. Wanted a small dinner so I got the Agedashi Tofu and an order of veggie spring rolls. Food took slightly longer to come out than I expected since it was early and there was no one there, and they weren't filling any take out orders, but that was ok. Food is between three and four stars depending on what you order. Price is ok. Agedashi Tofu was ok. Batter coating the tofu wasn't as crisp as it should have been. I ate it there so while it was covered in an air tight bowl, it shouldn't have gotten soggy so quickly since they give the sauce in a separate container that you pour on. There was plenty of tofu - four large squares. It was piping hot, and soft tofu so it fell apart and was a little difficult to eat because the batter didn't break apart easily. Sauce was ok. A little salty, so if I order this again I'll get a fork and knife to cut it nicely then only dip it the sauce instead of putting the sauce on top. Chopsticks just didn't do the trick. The spring rolls comes two in an order and they were piping hot. Liked the sweet chili sauce instead of the usual Chinese sweet sour sauce. They were just as good as the spring rolls at the Chinese restaurant there, but spicy - lots of black or white pepper so do not order for a child unless that child likes spicy! But it was great for me.“

“Amazing food. Fish is so fresh. The bowls are dynamic and flavorful. After moving to Oahu, I became obsessed with poke and would go out of my way to eat it from different places. I found Aloha Cones one random day as I was looking for the nearest place. Since then I have not found a poke spot that I like more, and I did indeed keep looking. If you ask me, this is the best poke on the island. Two years and counting, Aloha Cones is still at the top of my list.“

We just got in from a 10 hr flight and my kids were VERY cranky, so the ladies brought a couple markers and stickers. Great Thai tea and summer rolls. My husband said the heat (regular hot) on the table pad Thai was great.Dietary restrictions: We don’t eat pork and very pleasantly surprised to find that they don’t add pork to their summer rolls. Shrimp only! So happy about this, and they were very good and fresh.“

Chief's Luau Hawaiian
400 Farrington Hwy, Kapolei - 8.51 miles

“The luau itself was fantastic. The shuttle bus was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and uber it. The bus guy rushes you bigtime, talks constantly, which would be fine if you could understand what hes saying. After, they expect you to run back to the bus, and if God forbid, you have to use the restroom, they call you and ask where the heck you are. Thank God the luau was TOP NOTCH...because the shuttle bus experience was a disaster...and we stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Villiage...they made us walk nearly a mile to the meet spot. They tell you its a green shuttle, then a black one shows up...so its confusing. Then, they drop you in the same spot, so its another mile hike back after. Rant over!“

I ordered the birria melt (comes with consommé) and the salted lemon tea drink. My partner in crime and food ordered the lobster melt and we shared the prime rib fries with added bacon and cheddar.. I know. That's just too much. But we did it anyway muahahaha!! This was really good. I like the ample outdoor seating and the counter ordering setup. The staff was nice and the portions were large. “Woooow amazing restaurant!!! Really fast and kind servers! Their food was exquisite. My friend brought me here for a late Birthday dinner and I am hooked I love this place. They have 18% off pastas during their happy hour. We were looking at the menu and were debating what to get so we ended up getting 3 different pasta dishes to share. The mushroom risotto, bolognese, and the uni pasta. My favorite dish is the bolognese I love that the pasta was not over cooked or mushy. It was a perfect texture Al dente and the meat sauce was not over powering. I'm not a huge fan of uni but my friend was and that was her favorite dish.“

“My wife and I booked a reservation at Vein after viewing the photos and reading several reviews on Yelp. So, on Thursday, 4 April 2024, there we were. First, we want to salute the entire staff. We have never seen such a hard-working group. Our meal started with an Aperol Spritz and a Negroni 13, accompanied by Karaage artichoke hearts and grilled Tako. Both of these starters and the drinks were superb. Next, we ordered lamb and Pistachio pasta. The grilled lamb was the best we've ever had, anywhere on the planet. The bucatini pasta was perfectly al-dente, covered in a house sauce of puree and pistou pistachio nuts, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Prosciutto di Parma. This unusual creation was a first for us, and it was exceptional. Finally, we shared Creme Brulee and their fabulous Bread Pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Whew! This place is welcoming and comfortable. We never felt rushed. The Head Chef, Mr. Jordan Harris, was most gracious, taking the time to chat with us. He even added a special gift to our go bag! We will most definitely return! Five stars!“

“Here's some Mean Noodles... Looking for lunch on a Sunday afternoon though that this would be the perfect opportunity as the traffic isn't as crazy as it's located right on Kalakaua Ave just outside of Waikiki. The building is the typical old school small single story which shares with a few other tenants but does have a couple dedicated parking stall right in front of the restaurant which is nice though makes me nervous when I'm leaving but was so comfortable on this day that was very mellow. Walking in it was a cute cozy place with a few tables, there was a gentleman watching some tv who greeted me and got me situation with a menu and they are known for their Blank Noodles which did piqued my curiosity though not feeling like having a soup dish decided on the Beef Chow Funn. Classic and simple but was a bit too simple for me with the obvious beef and chow funn noodles and onion though it was seared very well and I really loved that. you can absolutely see that they took the time to sear all the goodness and it was very flavorful. Noodles was heated thoroughly and was nice and chewy, beef tender and seasoned nicely. I also got the Hong Kong Style Lemon Tea which came in a giant glass omg but was very nice and refreshing, not too sweet but was a very strong tea. Service here is very nice and though it was just one dish it was very good and will be back as many items on the menu sounds too good to pass. Thank you!“
