“We had a fantastic experience at Monterey. The service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. Our food arrived incredibly fast, and the quality was amazing—everything came out hot and fresh. We also ordered margaritas, and they were perfect. They tasted amazing, had a great strong pour, and looked exactly like the picture advertised. I highly recommend this place if you want great drinks, delicious food, and fast service. We will definitely be back!”

Always the perfect amount of salt. Wish they would expand to our area. Keep it an Iowa only restaurant but bring it up north please!!”

“Great customer service. Our family went this afternoon to get smoothies. The girls working were polite and quick. My daughter dropped her smoothie on the ground and one girl promptly cleaned it up and the other girl made my daughter another one. I definitely didn't expect it but she was happy to. Thanks for the great customer service with smiles. ☺️”

Hawk Haven with the awesome leadership, great staff, and an awesome environment have far surpassed the expectations of anything that’s been there prior. With it being family owned knowing there locals from here I’d highly recommend to anyone.”

“I went here the other day and my gosh their staff is amazing! I had this sweet young girl take my order and you would’ve thought she’d have years of experience in customer service! I asked how long she had worked there and she said a little over a month. However they are training those kids they are doing amazing!”

“Broker listed this address for pickup, but when I got here I was directed to another cold storage warehouse for pickup 5 miles away. I'd call ahead and ask if you're picking up a reefer load about which warehouse to go to. The other warehouse had me in and out within an hour a few hours before my appointment time.”

“Today was me and my fiances 10 year anniversary and let me tell you the staff made it feel like the most unreal experience. They sent us home with fudge and a happy anniversary card signed by all the staff and I'm still not sure if he was the owner or the head manager (I was too hyped from the experience to ask) came up to congratulate us in person and had a nice chat.
The ambiance made me feel like I was in New York from the combination of the look of the inside, to the music, to the food. I felt like I was in a movie I thought I was gonna be stumbling out from being so full but the experience they left me with had me floating out of there I definitely found my new favorite restaurant a huge thank you to everyone involved you made our anniversary something to remember. ❤️”

“I reached out to them about serving food for a company event and they were AMAZING. Very kind people and they did a great job, and their food is delicious! Another food truck bailed on us last minute and Roadside Tacos helped pick up their slack and ended up serving more people than anticipated. No one left hungry. I will definitely keep them in mind for future events!”

“This location is by far the best! Ashanti really helped me out on 04/17/26 at around 2:30 pm. She is the most courteous and helpful employees I have ever had in a long time! Really patient and made sure my order was done correctly. She definitely should be a Manager or trainer for other locations. The Cook, Letzabeth (hope I spelled it correctly), did a perfect job making my pizza. This is definitely a location I will return to in the very near future. thanks Ashanti and Letzabeth! “One of the few places in the Des Moines, IA area where you can get Cinnabons.
It's in a truck stop, so there's nothing to complain about the atmosphere. The service was not very communicative, but we got what we wanted.

“Absolutely an incredible experience from the two guys that were working there on June 26th. First off I was blown away that this place was opened until 2 in the morning. From when I walked in to the time I left I was greeted and treated professionally. I don’t know why this place has such low reviews, but my Asian Zing traditional wings were incredible, probably some of the best I’ve ever had at BWW. I would highly recommend this place especially in the late evening that I went. Don’t know who the two gentlemen that were working, but they took great care of me.”
