“Much more than your regular gaming machine place, this spot has an updated 50's diner feel on steroids. Everything is immaculately clean and new. It's obvious the owner put a great deal of money into this place and it shows. I've been here twice and ate at the bar. They have a killer fried panzerotti - think a pizza puff the size of a football. Just the right amount of sauce and the dough was light and flaky. I've also tried their Caesar salad they have a dressing I've never had anywhere else. Very good, maybe homemade? Not sure. Give this place a try, whether you gamble or not.“
“This place is truly a hidden gem. We were recommended to check this spot out by a local bartender, and we are so glad we did! The ambiance was really chill and non pretentious. Our mixologist, David, was super personable and well versed in his craft. He’s bringing experience from cocktail programs in the city to the burbs! It was a cute little spot that gave speakeasy vibes. We initially thought we were underdressed, but this place wasn’t booshie at all, and there was no judgement like some places. The cocktails were creative and well balanced. I’m so glad we have a place like this nearby. We will definitely be back soon!Update:We just went back because of our previous experience. I brought a group of 10 (all industry people). We spent over 1k as a group for my friend’s 40th bday. I raved about this place only to feel unwelcome in the end. A young female bartender tells us we were too loud. Honestly, we obviously had a lot to drink, but nobody was being reckless. We were told people were complaining. From a business standpoint you made us feel unwelcome in an establishment where we spent money. Take the $60 2 top who complained over what we spent there tonight? At least pull one of us aside instead of making a grand announcement. Chad you’re a great and talented owner, but train your staff how to talk to people. Just tell us, dont make a scene.“
“Love this new restaurant! We just left this place and needed to add a review. As soon as we walked in we were greeted right away and felt welcomed. Our waiter Rusbin was excellent from start to finish. Very polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We ordered the 3 taco dinner and the burrito dinner with fish, shrimp, and steak. The fish and shrimp were better than any other Mexican restaurant we've been to. Oh and the churros for desert, tasted great! We will definitely be back in the near future because of the excellent service and food! Thank you guys!“
“Very small space, but the wine, food, and service make up for it. Jim was our server and you could tell he was busy, but that did not stop him from taking his time with us and making amazing suggestions on food options. He was so fun and amazing. This will definitely become a regular spot for us.“
“I have been to 151 two times before this time. The service the food is top notch! Perfectly located in the middle of Elmhurst downtown. Even though we have a lot of different restaurants around it. If you want something slightly different this is a place to go.Parking: Parking is sometime difficult. But there is a parking garage a block away behind the movie theater.“
“The Tvs were super loud. Really wanted a relaxing night out, instead had to forcfully tune out the Tvs over the PA system and the guant wall of tvs that seem to be the only thing that lit up the place. The food was good, but with the prices, I would hope i didn't feel like i was in a sports bar.“
“We ordered the Jerk Chicken, Beef Kebabs and Goat Stew. We enjoyed all of them. If I were to rank the enjoyment Goat Stew comes first, then the Jerk Chicken and then the tender beef kebabs. Again, they were all good! I would come back again to try the rest of the menu.“
“Food was fantastic. I had the steak sando, and I was not only leaving the table full, but with a happy palet. The steak is cooked well and the flavors are abundant throughout their sides and sauces. My fiance got a cali burrito and she loved that as well. The churro dessert was also a good call. Warm churros served with caramel and chocolate (team caramel). Will return happily.Small issues with order miscommunication, but nothing they didn't fix and that would keep me from coming back.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are slim, if any.“
“One of the best coffee roasters in the western burbs, and definitely my favorite coffee shop to work from. Their signature and seasonal drinks are great, plus this location also serves cocktails. Highly recommend!Parking: Parking is ample, but can be a bit tricky due to the layout of the building.“
“Quaint place for awesome cocktails. A good and interesting list to choose from. Small and intimate place. The sliders were ok. Small plates menu with about 5 things on it. I would go here for before or after dinner cocktails and eat at Babbocks which is connected to this “
“Atmosphere makes or breaks a bar. Place was fun and tons to do. Between video gambling to board games. Definitely a great place to hangout with friends and have a few well prices great drinks. Service was fast and bartenders very friendly. 10/10 “
“Came here for Samantha’s birthday party November 25th and what more can I say… such a blast. Music and drinks were amazing. Cant say how much the owner Sway takes care of his clients and creates a great atmosphere. Would 100% recommend anyone to come here and have a good time!“
“Presently staying at another hotel, but when I walked into here… now I want to stay here!!! A hotel with a cool restaurant! The food is delicious, like finger licking good. The smash burger is yummmy! Was browsing the hotel rooms while I was waiting for my smash burger… they look really nice and the prices seem reasonable. By the way they do their french fries just like I make them in my own restaurant… I run a paintball park with a restaurant up in Canada.“
“I went to Bella Napoli with some friends. We all loved it! Then, for my husband's birthday, I took him there, and he loved it! It has a nice atmosphere, and the food tastes amazingly authentic Italian! It is a wonderful asset to the neighborhood.“
“As always, Chef Paul’s restaurants are right on point. Katherine and I collectively have been to Vistro (Prime) a few times . . . and the food, craft cocktails, and atmosphere make for an excellent social and culinary experience. It was wonderful to see Patrick doing the Mixology while the other restaurant is in process of opening apparently this spring. This time around, Katherine and I stopped by for a craft cocktail, and we ended up enjoying the happy hour oysters that were very good.I have never offered a single suggested critique of Vie or Vistro. The only request I have is for the manager of Vistro Prime is to check the barstools at the bar.My barstool was wobbly, and it likely/ simply needs to be tightened up. I’m a handy person and have constructed and repaired barstools; so possibly, the hardware for some of your barstools needs to be tightened up and or repaired. They are beautiful barstools!Other than that, I completely recommend Vistro Prime to every and anyone that receives this review and all my friends and family as always!“
“I love the swanky decor and the food and service was amazing. I had the short rib risotto and it was delish. My date had the giant pork chop! The craft cocktails were great, too. Be sure to save room for the limoncello tiramisu! Light, airy and refreshing. It’s also great that Stage 119 is connected to the restaurant - dinner and entertainment all in one. Highly recommend this place! I’ll be back for sure.“
“I didn't eat, so I can't comment on that. The drinks, service, and atmosphere were welcoming. Nice, old-school vibe, and they are serious about the spirits. I asked for Don Q, which most places don't have or know what I'm talking about. At first, the bartender looked at me in wonderment when I asked. I ordered an alternative rum and went to the washroom. Upon my return, he held off on making my drink because he found Don Q Limón and wanted to give me the choice. Hell yeah, Homestyle! I appreciate the effort, search and find. That was my rum for the night. Overall, I had a great experience and I will return.“
“Baja tacos were very delicious! Mahi mahi tasted very fresh and just perfect! Beans and rice were really good! Chips from chips and salsa are homemade and delicious! Steak tacos steak was pretty good. Place a little small and maybe not very decorated, but the bar is amazing and has an amazing variety of drinks. Bathrooms are pretty clean. Our waitress was very nice. Food did take awhile to come out. Prices make sense and portions are perfect. The A/C does make it cold inside“
“We enjoyed our first dinner at the restaurant and plan to return. We tried the two salmon dinners on the menu and the Julie salad. I found the salmon oreganata a bit too salty for my taste; the rest of the food was all great. We wished there was better lighting and temperature control in the dining area (I was cold). Overall I would recommend it for high quality food at reasonable prices.“
“This has been my second time here. Everything from the ambience to the food and service is incredible. I have tried almost everything on the menu and the item that I am least impressed with are the fires. Everything else on the menu has so much flavor and the presentation is on point. They offer a nice selection of wines. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.“
“Local resident, and I have sampled lots of downtown spots. This was one of THE BEST meals I’ve ever had. Everything we had was sooooo good. All the different flavors and combos. I wanted to order the whole menu after we ate what we ordered. (I ordered some tacos to go they were that good!). It was so good we went back for another date night two weeks later!! Cocktails are great. The food is amazing. Don’t think twice and come here!!!“
“Love coming here on my lunch break the burgers are so juicy ? knock back a couple cold one, they always got a couple games on. Very cozy place ! The staff is great! Always coming with a huge smile and cheerful welcome! Ed is a Rockstar there ! The owner's are Great always accommodating to us best way possible. Definitely recommend it for guys night! My wife always goes there on wine ?? Wednesdays ?“
“Absolutely loved this place! The service was great, and the inviting atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a fun night out with friends. Our bartender was very attentive and friendly ensuring that we were happy with our food and drinks. Already can’t wait to go back! Highly recommended!“
“Great concept; an unexpected cozy speakeasy serving interesting drinks and snacks. I love that this place is kind of down an alley of downtown DG. An unassuming hidden gem, almost a bit of a throwback to a mini spaghetti western saloon. However, it is attached to a big Irish (American) bar, but this can be avoided entirely by using the side entrance. The beer tap list while great does not seem to rotate frequently enough. Visits two weeks apart were insufficient to see any noticeable change. Food menu while good is rather limited to meat oriented appetizers. It would be nice to see more diverse and robust options available. Aside from those minor grievances, it's really a terrific alternative venue for those of us that wish to be comfortable in a cozy, welcoming space and I'd definitely recommend trying it out. Lastly, the ever present bar man is excellent, professional and efficient.“
“A large group went to La Tequileria for dinner and a tequila tasting. The tequila that was served was unbelievable. The selection, the presentation and the service were all top notch. The food (especially the ceviche tostada and the tacos) was unbelievable. The atmosphere was fantastic .... and there's live music as well.Overall a perfect night. Thanks to our server, Lexi, and the host, David, for a great evening. A great find in the Western suburbs of Chicago!!“
“As a frequent shopper at the mall, I saw this restaurant all the time and wondered if it was any good.Tried it on a whim and I can confirm it is excellent. Fresh food that is just to die for. Everything tasted like it had just been harvested that day. So fresh. Atmosphere was very nice, especially at nightHighly recommended.Parking: It is in the oakbrook Mall, so parking is plentiful, just a little bit of a walk depending on where you park.“
“If you haven't been here what are you waiting for? This place has such a creative menu with unique but approachable food and drinks, excellent service and a really cool vibe. The prices are very reasonable especially for what the menu has to offer. They have a great brunch on weekends. Happy hour and half off wine Wednesdays are also a great time to go. They also have a private event space in their deli shop which is adjacent to the restaurant. Be sure to check out the subs and salads in the deli shop and also consider hosting a private event in the event space which holds up to 40 people.“
“Today I wanted to pamper myself, I went to eat at Sabor de mi Tierra and this is what I found: warm welcome, delicious sauce with a soup to whet your appetite, delicious quesabirrias and an incredible prepared mineral water. Super attentive with the service, the place was full, but everything flowed very efficiently. Congratulations and see you soon there! I threaten to return .“
