“First timers and now we will be regulars! The hospitality, atmosphere and fare were outstanding! From the knowledgeable staff, the welcoming management and the hostess that went WAY above and beyond to be sure my disabled husband was accommodated from when we booked our reservation to the end of our dining experience - we couldn’t have been more delighted! See you again soon, Lardon!“
“What a beautiful setting for a restaurant! I'm impressed each time I dine at 3 Arts Club. The service is excellent, from the greeters to the waitresses. The food is also delicious and comes out rather quick! All around, a great experience.“
“So good! We shared the pulled pork wrap with I believe Swiss cheese. Also the yucca fries and some spinach empanada. My aunt had a Cafe Con Leche also. Everything was so delicious service was good bathrooms were spotless environment atmosphere very cute and comfortable. Definitely will be back to try other things exclamation point to be honest I've had Cuban food before and I thought it was kind of bland but everything here was seasoned so well full of flavor!“
“Took my wife for a brunch date. Came to this cutest lil mama papa shop. Amazing Americano! Cardamom Black Tea yum! We shared one injera firfir almost couldn’t finish it. Very Delicious! Will come back with friends. If yall want really authentic Ethiopian food with homie feel. Look no further. This is our new favorite “
“I would probably go 4.5 but I'll round up because we did have great service. We came during restaurant week and got the four course meals. In all we got: Crab croquettes: 4/5 Kale apple salad: 5/5 Burrata: 4/5 Bok choy: 4/5 Steak dish: 5/5 Agnolotti: 4/5 Crème brûlée: 3/5 Chocolate dessert: 4/5 The salad and steak are must orders! Everything else was tasty too! The agnolotti was on the sweet side which was different but still good. The bok choy was a bit too smoky for my taste but still good. The crème brûlée lacked some flavor but the salted caramel ice cream and crispy bits on the chocolate dessert was delicious and I'm not even a chocolate person. For wine, I got the orange wine (mellower one) and the still rose. Both were good! My husband got the Chianti which was also good. We would def come back! They also have a good happy hour specials so we will try to come for that.“
“This place is a total experience! The food is delicious, the decor is artsy and beautiful, and the owners are absolute gems. my family and I went for the first time yesterday and had the BEST time. we came for some quick pierogi but stayed for the ambiance, warm welcome, and fantastic conversation with the owners. This cafe is charming beyond belief and we will definitely be back. This is the perfect place to stop in with some friends or loved ones when you are out and about in the neighborhood. I guarantee you will want to come back again and again.“
“There were so many people that there was a wait of about 40 minutes!I ate on the patio when the weather was nice, the atmosphere was quite nice and the servers were friendly. There are so many pancakes that it's hard to eat them all by yourself! Although there was a lot of food, it was delicious and warm, so I was able to eat a lot without getting tired of it.I ordered a pineapple drink and it was quite short!I am satisfied overall and would like to visit again next time “
“Love how they accommodate both thc and cbd if you do not like the psychoactive effect. Theres even thc infused water!!! They truly have every possible infused dessert you can think of not just your typical infused brownies. Will be back! There was vegan cupcakes for those with dietary restrictionsDietary restrictions: Has vegan cupcakes. Did not see gluten free although someone may need to fact check this“
“Jimmy's used to be kind of a hole in the wall but has now upgraded to their location on Montrose. It serves DELISH true NY style pizza. As a New England native in Chicago, Jimmy's is the only reliable NY slice around. You won't be disappointed. That being said, its better to get a whole pie than a reheated slice for that perfect experience. Garlic knots are so tasty and their fresh marinara is the perfect addition- tell your spouse to beware of your garlic breath! Salads are great also! Wait times for a pie on weekends/nights is a little tricky but worth it! Dining in is great- lots of high tops and booths for all preference. I met Jimmy once and if I remember correctly, he IS from NY... so its definitely original!“
“Always incredible - one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city (I get the pablano/veggie and add sausage ? - which was a staff suggestion). Everyone who works there is friendly and engaging! If they had a yearbook, I would write, "have a cool summer - don't ever change".“
“If you love themed cafe's, this is for you. Full of 80's culture and counter culture decor, with a chatty vibe. Baristas are super cool, music is good too, but the only thing I would change is to give it a more 80's feeling to the music being played ? great cappuccino and place to meet with friends in Wicker Park.“
“My wife and I ordered oat milk lattes and both were made to perfection. Some coffee shops tend to overheat oat milk and end up making it thinner and generally unpleasant to taste but these folks know what they're doing!Parking: Parking on the street nearby is fairly easy to find.“
“Great spot, I came in for a meeting and had a great cappuccino and food - would have loved to do jebena but it would have been too much for one! It smelled delicious, the French bread is incredible, the frittata was wonderfully flavorful, and so was the baklava. I hope this place succeeds! You know a place is the real deal when you’re the only white folks in there XD“
“Very good brunch spot. Small and cozy but they do take reservations, so we were able to get in with a large group with minimal wait. The food, especially the Spanish omelet was spot on. The potatoes that came with the dishes was excellent.“
“My favorite coffee shop around! The owners are super friendly, take the time to get to know you, and they really care about the local community. They also make some of the best dang lattes and drinks (better than Dark Matter, Intelligentsia, etc.). They always have great pastries and snacks on hand as well.“
“I randomly come here before work to pick up a breakfast pastry and always end up leaving with two. Today I picked up a crossaint w glazed sugar and cinnamon and a peanut butter brownie. This crossaint is awesome. So crispy, buttery and delicious. Excellent with a good cup of coffee.“
“I have been walking past this place every day since I moved here (I use the CTA Roosevelt Station), but I finally visited Sweet Bean with some friends from out of town and LOVED it. The coffee was good, nothing spectacular, but the pastries are really the unique part. They are self service, and they have sweet and savory pastries - I have tried a few and they were all amazing. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend a visit if you're in the area“
“Tribu is a great Breakfast spot! We have been there twice now and have enjoyed our meals each time. Today my Eggs Benedict was spot on. I asked for my bacon crispy and that is what I got. Breakfast potatoes are nicely seasoned. My spouse had an omelette and really enjoyed it. Check Tribu out, we want this neighborhood gem to stick around.“
“We just visited the brand new Wicker Park location on Pierce around the corner from the Damen Blue Line stop. The pastries we tried (pistachio croissant and various biscotti) were incredible. The staff and owner Ciro were so welcoming in their new beautiful establishment. So many delicious authentic Italian options to choose from!“
“This restaurant has a very cozy vibe. Keep in mind it's a smaller restaurant that has a good crowd, so finding a place to sit can be hard during rush hour. The workers are all incredibly kind. I would highly recommend getting their breakfast sandwich, it is so so so amazing. And of course nothing says "breakfast" quite like a slice of chocolate cake from The Bear.“
“Great bakery that just opened, definitely check it out.. better than Starbucks! They serve dark matter coffee, pastries & delicious breakfast sandwiches. I'm hooked! && the staff is amazing, it's a mom son & daughter they're just so sweet!“
“Love the handy drive-thru. Also love the wheat free options like chocolate chip cookies, biscuit that can substitute some for bread on sandwiches, and other pastries. Lots of pastries. LOVE the scones. Vegetarian options are tasty. Had the Rubén sandwich yesterday and it was awesome. Also love the mission of the facility. Staffed by residents of Misericordia's homes. Decent prices and great taste with a cause!!“
“My friend and I was talking about where to eat. He said he wanted a sandwich. I told him if he ever had cafe colao? He said no. So I took him. I love the sandwiches and especially the avena. He liked the sandwich. He said he will return again.“
“Fantastic café offering a modern take on Croatian and American classics. You will certainly feel at home in this welcoming, family-owned spot. Craving a veggie lunch that day, I opted for the lentil and barley soup along with half of the kata’s klub sandwich – stacked with veggies, including roasted butternut squash and a refreshing slaw. Everything was flavorful and super satisfying. My brother opted for the traditional cevapi sandwich. The savory sausages were excellent and came served with all the proper toppings – ajvar, clotted cream and onions. I look forward to returning and trying more items on the menu. I would definitely recommend!“
“Regular here. I've been inspired by the message of HFTD ever since they did a presentation at my school. I had wanted to come here for a while, but only got the chance about a year or two ago. Since then, I have stopped by nearly every weekend. The coffee is excellent, the people here are absolutely wonderful and always open to chat, the ambience is impeccable. The staff are some of the kindest, most welcoming and accepting people I know, and I'm so happy to call some of them my legit friends. Major shoutout to the manager, he's a great guy and does a fantastic job running the shop (hey man it's Addy how ya doin') If you do stop by there is a drawing of the cafe that's behind the bar. I drew that as a commission (shameless self promo heehoo) Definitely stop by if you're ever in the area. Coming here was a great decision for me. If you're in the mood for great coffee for a great cause, look no further, and remember that "it's okay not to be okay"!<3 you guys!Addy“
“Honestly can’t say enough good things about Kristoffers. They made my wedding cake and I only get their tres leches for my birthday every year. It’s so so soft and delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness in each bite. I really like the coconut tres leches but my personal favorite is just the regular one. Really enjoy the Chocoflan, regular flan, house salad, and their pastries are always fresh! But if you’re in the area you MUST stop by for a sliceAlso highly highly recommend their lemonade, my mouth is watering just thinking of it right now. The owners are such a kind, sweet couple who make great conversation and always make you feel welcome.Parking: free street parking off to the side if you’re fast enough“
“Nice place but they kind of cheat you out of the cold brew; when ordering it black, they will pour less than half a cup, fill it up with ice, and then top it off with water. I like the vibe of this place but there are too many other places in the area to get coffee that WON’T water it down right in front of you.“
“Took my first sip of my latte and instantly noticed the difference between quality of the beans! Small interior since the majority of space is used for roasting their beans. The prices are affordable. I’ll definitely be heading back to try more of their products.“
“Not everything is perfect. There is good service, but the very plastic cachapa dough is nothing like the Venezuelan one, a lot to improve with that. The shredded meat is not the best either. I rescue the roast chicken. Tequenos are not the best either. Maybe I went on a bad day for them, but I am always honest with my reviews. It would be a 7.0 out of 10.“
“I had a latte here and I wish (now looking at the reviews) that I would have ordered some food ?These lattes are so delicious. The vibes of this coffee shop at very pink but also very cute and not too pink. Theres street parking around the coffee shop.I went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t too busy.I can’t wait to go back and try some foodFor more reviews follow me here on google or on Instagram @audrey.pulliam ?“
“Panes is my favorite sandwich place in Chicago! Their sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced, and they bake their own bread fresh that is also available for purchase. Their soup is quite good, and they have a variety of dessert options. I recommend calling about 20 minutes ahead to save time on pickup orders, although I also enjoy walking in to eat there, with natural light and fun art on the walls. I usually order the Super Panes, although the Todo Italiano is also a favorite!“
“What a cool joint with colorful art and incredible empanadas. Had the pinto beans, black beans and vegan curry and each tasted amazing with their distinctly flavorful profiles, but if I were pressed for a favorite the vegan curry was my favorite. Also the horchata latte is a must try. Was so pleasantly surprised by this place and can’t wait to keep returning to try the rest.“
“Cafe 53 in Chicago is an absolute gem and deserves every bit of praise it receives. I can't express how much I love this place! The moment you step inside, you're greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed meal, catching up with friends, or enjoying some quiet time with a book. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Cafe 53 is a delightful mix of flavors and options. I've tried several dishes here, and each one has been a culinary masterpiece. Whether it's their delicious breakfast offerings or their mouthwatering sandwiches and salads for lunch, every bite is a taste sensation. And don't get me started on their coffee - it's the perfect pick-me-up to start your day. What truly sets Cafe 53 apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready with a warm smile. They make you feel like a valued guest with their prompt service and genuine hospitality. I've been a regular at Cafe 53 for quite some time now, and it never disappoints. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a must-visit spot in Chicago for anyone who appreciates delicious food, a welcoming ambiance, and fantastic service. I can't wait for my next visit!“
“This is the CUTEST cafe. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious (I had the garden bagel, and WOW). It was pumping when I was there and the food/coffee still came out really quickly. I think everything was really reasonably priced considering how high-quality the ingredients are. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. I had an opportunity to talk to the owners and they were just as lovely. Can't recommend this place enough - I will be back!Dietary restrictions: I'm vegetarian and the garden bagel was SO good and super filling.“
“Wonderful experience, we had to quickly reserve last minute and the staff took care of us from the minute we called and made the reservation. The amenities are out of the world. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return soon. You made lifetime customers.“
“It is very cozy there!I love the coffee and cinnamon roll.To add that Cozy cafe also hosts performances. I have not been at one yet, but it looks like it will be my next spot for an outing in the neighborhood. And Ricky is very welcoming. Thanks again, and see you soon!“
“Wonderful restaurant. Sorry I didn’t get to say “Hello” to Chef Bolaños. He was talking to some friends. We were dining there on Sunday. A wonderful guitarist playing. Perfect music for dining. Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“
“Great place to get lunch! I like getting the duck confit sandwich, the goat cheese sandwich, and also the green lasagna. The staff are always really nice and helpful. Food usually comes out pretty fast - I often will call for pickup and it is ready within 10-15 minutes. Really great neighborhood spot!“
“I be doing doordash n uber eats, I've been getting orders from there for a while, today I decided to order me some food got me the steak jibarito that comes with arroz con gandules and some sauce on the side n let me sayyy it was delicious, I even got me the chicken empanada n I used the sauce from the jibarito on it n omgggg sooo good. I even got a Pina colada n omg heaven. And the service was awesome everyone so nice and also lots of things to look at while u wait they have a lil boutique. Totally recommend will be coming back“
“Came here for the marshmallows but fell in love with the hot chocolate. They have hot chocolate flight!! And you can order it iced. I took home the seasonal flavors of lavender and the hazelnut stout. Wow! It was amazing. I can taste the herbal note of lavender. The hz stout was equally nutty and flavorful. The creaminess is astounding even for a cold drink. I had some leftovers in the fridge overnight and it didn't even separate. It was like cream, almost like drinking ice cream but better. It's not too sweet, just a heaven blend of flavors. I read more info and learned they used Kilgis cream. As to the marshmallows, I got a couple of bags with different flavors to try: Earl grey (5/5), cinnamon - not too cinnamon-y which is good but I'm not a fan of cinnamon in general, spicy chocolate (The spice is like a twinkle, 4/5) and salted caramel (5/5 except this was kind of melty), Biscoff (5/5), Ambrosia - feel too much going on. Mocha (uneventful), Mocha (flavor is undefined). And of course opted for vanilla marshmallow for my hot chocolate drinks. I find the marshmallows a tad bit on the sweet side. The barista was super! They had some event going on at the back room when I visited. I'm so proud to have this establishment in the neighborhood. Will come back for sure.“
“This is a great neighborhood pub! We've come here for all the different meals and have not been disappointed. As they have expanded their menu it has only gotten better. Highlights are the pies, gin drinks, and the matcha latte. It's an unexpected fun spot for breakfast on weekdays too. If we lived even closer we would be here all the time. The ambiance is a traditional British pub which we love!“
“I adore this little spot! I’ve been coming here since I moved to the area and drag along anyone who will listen lol the food is unreal at decent prices for the quality and quantity! Their coffee is always delicious as well. The service is truly what keeps me coming back though! They are so sweet and always remember me when I stop in for some breakfast. They really make the entire experience for me personally. I am forever a fan of caribella!Vegetarian options: They are always willing to modify“
“Ive been to every sip and savor in the city but this is my favorite so far. I got the caramel royale and loved it as usual. I also got the turkey sausage, egg, and cheese croissant with jelly and licked the croissant crumbs off my fingers cause BABYYYY it's that good ??? I'm also ready to taste every drink at the new brewery section because I support y'all so much. Will be back ?“
“I’ve been wanting to try it for so long and I’m glad I was finally able to. I ordered a custom sandwich with jerk chicken, pepper Jack, spinach, and cucumbers. Super flavorful! Next time I think I’ll try the salmon panini. It’s nice to have a jerk spot in the neighborhood.“
“This place carries a huge variety of magazines, including in foreign languages. That said, my favorite area to browse is the wall of books on Chicago; the various neighborhoods, unique bits of history, architecture and on & on. The cafe area excels in its own right with coffee & pastries - even vegan options. Enjoy a great cup of coffee and live music on weekends. Just a wonderful place.“
“The plating at Sweet Moon is so exquisite that I imagine a chef using a pair of tweezers to meticulously place each item to be displayed on the dish. My mother and I talk for at least two minutes about the layout and design of the plated food before diving in and being even more amazed by the flavor combinations. My favorite menu item is the Merengue Roulette, a gluten-free merengue with mascarpone pistachio cream, raspberry jam, baked almond, and whole pistachios. For such well-crafted and well-balanced dishes, the wait time is not long, usually not exceeding 10 minutes. Although the place is typically always filled with people all customers are respectful of the noise level and it is quiet and serene. Great place to work or catch up with a friend!“
“I’ve been to a ton of Chicago north side cafes, and there are two things I always crave / like to get:1. An egg and cheese bagel sandwich2. A Boston cream donutBoth of which knocked my socks off, the bagel sandwich was presented neatly in a basket, the bagel was flavorful and delicious, the bacon crisp and meaty cheese on egg all were flawless. The Boston cream had the right dough, was filled perfectly and had a delicious glaze, something I can’t say so much about my experience with Stan’s somewhat nearby.I also ordered an iced americano that came in a perfectly chilled metal tumbler.I don’t live nearby but I am now seeking out Spoken Cafe. So good.“
“Bia's is my go to place when nothing less than comforting will do! Nothing like a DELICIOUS well seasoned, cheesy, steak sandwich on any day will do people! And...a cafe con leche and pastelillo de guayaba will make your day. Service there is great. Happy faces and pride in their work is evident with each bite. Thanks Bia's!!!“
“This place has the most incredible crepes, both sweet and savory. The only bad part is choosing what to get. We always go way overboard and get a couple different ones to eat as a family, but you can't help it. It's all delicious.“
“Today, we hosted a couples shower at Stay and Play Cafe! It was beyond amazing! The owners, Yesenia and Jose were so easy and delightful to work with, the staff was attentive, recommending and teaching games to our guests of all ages, the food was delicious(cheesy eggs and quesitos were scrumptious), and the atmosphere was just perfect! I can't recommend this cafe enough. I look forward to having other functions here and/or coming with a group of friends. I can't wait to start spreading the word to family and friends. Thank you Jose and Yesenia for making our day so special! Anita G.“
