“Nice place, friendly service, very busy on the weekend. If you go be prepared to park away from the sight because the shops around also get busy so parking can be sparse.Parking: There's in front parking and on the side parking but it's all single rowed and sparse. You may have to park down or across the street.“

“Love Kasama! I’ve been back each time I visit the city and the breakfast is banging. I know the sandwich + hash-brown is iconic and a must try but their other food is equally as delicious. Would highly recommend ordering online to skip the line if you don’t plan to eat inside.“

“Couple from Argentina here really pleased about our experience. Great general atmosphere and drinks. Perfect bar if you are looking for some nice background music and really good drinks. Amanda was amazing, learned a lot from her and her passion for mixology. Definitely a must visit if in Chicago and worth it sitting at the bar.“

“my best friend and I just had the BEST experience at the whale! Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. We will definitely return with friends and recommend anyone to try it out! classy, but not snobby, cool decor, warm kind and accommodating staff, and great food and cocktails are just the cherry on top! try the carrot cake after your meal :) Thank you again to taylor and the manager again <3“

“i am so grateful for such a wonderful evening at lula cafe! i went with a friend last night and the service, the food, and the atmosphere truly were all five stars. the staff were just so lovely, it felt as if i'd been coming for years and was a cherished regular. we started with the baked feta and it actually came with more than enough delicious sourdough to enjoy it with. you ever notice how a lot of places will give you something delicious to dip, but you run out of something to eat it with? haha clearly lula cafe wants you to just eat and have fun - they take care of the rest. my main was delicious and the ricotta ice cream with chocolate and cherries? i could have eaten a litre. thanks again!!“

“Update: We were generously welcomed back to Ever for a second go at the experience and it was starkly different and very enjoyable. The food was well executed and the service was incredibly personal. They somehow recognized me and addressed me by first name when entering which was very impressive! Ryan was our sommelier for the evening and his personality and descriptions of the wines were amazing to listen to, and his passion was evident. Paulina's attentiveness and care for our experience was a bright spot as well on the evening. Based on this experience we could definitely recommend Ever, but hopefully you get this the first time around. Thanks Ever team for a great redemption and treating us to a very special evening!Original review for reference:My wife and I dined at Ever for our anniversary this year, and I had contemplated leaving a review but decided to share our experience. We were unfortunately let down. Overall, the food was not what we expected. There were a couple dishes that were very salty, and at least one that just lacked flavor in general. The hamachi was incredible, though, i wish the rest was just as good. The service, although very professional and consice, simply lacked personality and any sense of individualism. It also just felt a bit rushed and that they were on a mission to complete the job. We were asked to supply them with info on special occasions before we arrived, which I did. I expected at least the service staff to be aware of our anniversary but as we walked in the hostess asked us if we were celebrating anything and us telling her was clearly the first time any employee there had heard it. We've dined elsewhere at less rewarded and reputed restaurants where even the valet knew, and we were greeted with a special glass of wine and handwritten note. I don't want to sound pretentious here...but the bill was not light. We spent a significant amount of money at Ever only to leave feeling unfulfilled, and we are not partivularly wealthy. However, we are both in the food industry and looked at this experience as a sort of pilgrimage. Perhaps we should have said something while there but I think we were just a bit shocked. I would not recommend the Ever experience.“

“Oriole is a hidden treasure in the West Loop that offers an intimate and luxurious dining experience. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're at a private dinner party. Chef Noah Sandoval's seasonal tasting menu is a masterpiece, with each course perfectly balanced in flavor and presentation. The wine pairings are expertly selected to enhance the dining experience. The service is exceptional, making you feel welcome and special from the moment you walk in. Oriole is perfect for a special occasion or a sophisticated date night. “First time here and wow, I was impressed! Arrived at 8:40 on a Saturday and the place was busy, but I was able to get a table for two quickly. The atmosphere was wonderful. Tables were abuzz and there was conversation and laughter all around. The servers and host were personable and kind, my daughter commented on how friendly they were.Food portions were large and came out quickly once ordered. Food tasted great and we left full! Will have to bring the rest of my family back for another meal!“

“Truly enjoyed the Puttery experience! We came in on a Saturday during St. Patrick’s day weekend. Fortunately, Ryan advised us to come during a time in which we can enjoy the game and the ambiance. The restaurant/bar area on the 2nd floor was great for eating and obtaining our amazing drinks. They have some of the best mixed drinks in West Loop! The BBQ on Saturday Night was my favorite. We took our drinks to the 3rd floor in the lounge/bar to have a nice, cozy conversation before the game. The patio had some great views of West Loop.We took to the holes when we were all warmed up for our mini golf session. Although the 3rd floor course had flatter and more adventurous areas, the 2nd floor course was more intimate and challenging. There can only be up to 4 people in a traveling group though. My date and I ended up having a fun time.I want to thank Ryan, the manager, for helping to make this a memorable experience. We will be back soon with friends.“

“My guest and I had the seasonal tasting experience with a wine pairing. The food and wine were outstanding. What fell short was the presentation of the experience. There were different servers presenting each course, some of whom we could not understand, partly due to heavy accents and partly due to the noise level in the restaurant. We enjoyed the food, despite not knowing quite what we were eating with some of the courses. As for ambiance, the restaurant should try to elevate the dress code. Many patrons were wearing jeans or casual wear. My check with tax and tip was just shy of $700. I'd expect a more formal vibe at a Michelin starred restaurant.“

“My guy and I dined there last night and I can only say that every aspect of this visit was, on a scale from 1 to 5, a 10. Atmosphere, service, cleanliness, promptly being seated AND served with a reservation, courteous waitstaff, and last but not least...every dish we tasted was superbly plated and tasted amazing. We had the restaurant week special with 3 entrees. We chose the pot roast, blackened salmon w/creamed spinach, honey chicken with fried pound cake, short ribs /mashed potatoes, shrimp n grits. Well done! We will be coming back!“

“A not so hidden gem as of late now that reviews are catching up with the imaginative menu and exceptional dining experience Community Tavern has been consistently providing over the past several years. Menu is full of unique dishes… elevated dumpling and noodles are a signature. Beautifully plated and generous- but not overly. Cocktail menu is fun, with zero proof options that are spot on. Save room for baked Alaska. Oh, and ambiance is chic but allows the focus to be where it belongs. On the food. Upscale West Loop experience in modest Portage Park for a lot less and no pretense.“

“The meals were plated so beautifully we were apprehensive to take a knife and fork to the artwork. Glad to have gotten over the notion of destroying art to enjoy the creations of the Michelin star delights. The ginger consommé gave the creamy foie gras a Thai spin that was delicious. Lightly roasted scallops perfectly balanced in green curry custard and finger limes. Lamb loin melted in your mouth complimented with a lamb belly doughnut that delighted us with texture and spice. We are going back“

“Gather is simply my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Every dish is incredible: the ricotta-honey spread and buttery toast, citrus cured salmon with fried egg, carmelized brussels sprouts with aioli...and that's before you even get to the entrees. Truth be told, I've never actually made it to dessert here because I'm already so stuffed from everything else. The decor is classy but comfortable; you'll dine by candlelight with a list of appealing cocktails ready to hand. If you're lucky, you can sit with a direct view of the kitchen where you can watch the magic happen.Incredible spot--if this place ever closes, you can rest assured that I will weep bitter tears for it. Please go eat here so that doesn't happen.“

“Last night, my girlfriend and I celebrated her 30th birthday with an unforgettable dinner at Roister. The evening was nothing short of magical, beginning with the Market Oysters that were delicately smoked and served with a tangy mignonette sauce. The shishito peppers, paired with a savory topping, were a burst of flavor that set the stage for the rest of the meal. Each dish was a masterpiece, not only in taste but also in presentation. The Pork Belly was succulent and perfectly seasoned, melting effortlessly at each bite. The Fried Chicken & Caviar was a surprising blend of down-home comfort and upscale indulgence, creating a delightful contrast. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Hearth Grilled Scallop. The cauliflower purée and fresh melon provided a sweet and creamy backdrop to the perfectly charred scallops. Following this was the Blue Crab with sofrito, which was a testament to the chef’s attention to detail and flavor balance. For dessert, the Butternut Squash Sorbet was a refreshing palate cleanser, and the Banana with pecan ice cream ended our meal on a decadently sweet note. Each plate was not only a treat for the palate but a feast for the eyes, served on beautifully curated dishware that enhanced the overall experience. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to savor each moment of our celebration. Roister has truly set a high bar for culinary excellence and a memorable dining experience. Five stars are not enough to capture the essence of our evening. We will definitely be returning!“

“It was cool. Met some friends on St. Paddy's Day for a happy hour drink. My beer was $6, and her ranch water was $9 (not sure what the happy hour special was), but it was a one and done with no issues. It's super dark inside even on a bright day, so if you are a day drinker, this might be your vibe. Not so much for me.“

“The meal here was pretty good and our server, Lucas, was a notch next to perfection. He helped with questions we all had. He made sure our drinks never got low, and all with a great attitude. The foods we're all good for the most part, just salt on fries was way too much. Our friends enjoyed their meals. My burger was a bit short of the mark, as they could not make it how I wanted it done. We might go back for another take of the menu. The desserts were delicious and topped off the meal.Parking: Stay away from the pigs in a blanket, as just smoked sausage wrapped in crust, but greasy sausage.“

“The pretzel was very good! Light and fluffy on the inside. The brisket taccos were pretty good they have a decent kick of spice to them. Beer is good, staff is friendly. A 1 star deduction for getting my fiancé her flight but then forgetting my pint, and no napkins or silverware when the food was brought out. (This is a bit arguable as we were at the bar.)“

“Tony’s pulls no punches when it comes to late night or early morning dining. I’ve never seen such a variety of options from a 24hr restaurant which makes it the clear choice as they have little something for everyone. This is where I’d put a photo of one of my meals…but I ate it too fast to get the chance.“

“Lola’s Restaurant and Bar is easy to find and sits just off Randolph St. in the West Loop (we definitely appreciated avoiding the congestion on Randolph on a Friday night!) The statement-blue “Lola’s” awnings on the front of the building are easy to identify. Surprisingly, there is plenty of inexpensive street parking right on Carpenter St. through the ParkChicago app.Upon entering the restaurant, we peeked through a luxe red velvet curtain and arrived to the artful setting, exposed brick walls, upbeat tempo of atmospheric music, and welcoming face of our hostess. She quickly seated 5 of us at a spacious table whilst my husband fiddled with his parking app. It just so happened that the owners of Lola’s were sitting by the entrance when we arrived, when one of the most amazing displays of hospitality occurred! The credit card associated with my husband’s parking app had expired, so he was quickly trying to update his payment profile when one of the owners came right up to him and said, “I’ll take care of that” and dashed outside to read our license plate and pay for the parking personally on his own app! What a welcoming!Upon being seated, we were offered our choice of beverages. While most in our group ordered from the extensive selection of sparkling and other wines, I was intrigued with the variety of “zero proof” beverages (that can be spiked upon request). I highly recommend the Tropical Turmeric & Ginger Old Fashioned. The fresh ingredients are amazing, including the giant, square orange blossom ice cube that gives the drink a warm orange glow and mild sweetness that balances out the tangy turmeric and ginger flavors. This is actually about the fourth or fifth time I’ve dined at Lola’s, and the main thing that keeps me coming back is the quality and freshness of the food. The menu has something for everyone. Although I’m not a strict vegetarian, I can attest that there are plenty of options for those who don’t eat meat, chicken, or fish. Bar none, my favorite thing on the menu is the Crispy Brussels & Sweet Potatoes, which melt in your mouth! Our table also enjoyed the Greek Chicken Skewers, which were surrounded by scrumptious home-made hummus that we all scooped up with the tasty, crisp, seeded crackers that accompanied this appetizer. The House Meatballs were also a hit—again, surrounded by a delicious marinara and served with large pieces of grilled bread for dipping. For dinner I ordered Lola’s Salad with grilled chicken. It was a decadent portion filled with unexpected surprises like fresh cherry tomatoes, toasted sunflower seeds, garbanzo beans, tidbits of spicy genoa salami, and zingy pickled peppers. I will be coming back for this one, which is a great choice for lunch or dinner. Definitely don’t skip the fresh parmesan on top!Although we were satiated by all the great food, we couldn’t resist the dessert menu. We gleefully shared a giant, warm chocolate chip cookie served in a dinnerplate-sized cast iron pan, topped with a cool scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream. Our server did not disappoint by having individual plates, spoons, and even extra napkins at the ready! All in all, Lola's is a great experience and an excellent value. Some of us brought our extra food home--I'm looking forward to leftovers and adding it to my favorites on Uber Eats!Vegetarian options: Fabulous selection of vegetarian dips, including spinach & artichoke and home-made hummus. DO NOT SKIP the Crispy Brussels & Sweet Potatoes! Also great pasta and salad choices.Parking: I've never had a problem finding parking within 1 block of the restaurant.“
