“Great experience while visiting Chicago over St Patty's weekend. Went with friends mid afternoon. We had reservations and luckily so because the place was packed. Ambiance is awesome. The food and drinks were top notch. I had a lamb pot pie. It came with a huge portion of bone marrow. The beef tartare was also amazing. Only pic I ended up getting while there. Still thinking about it. I hope to make it there again someday“

“Came here with some mates and had a grand time. Love the English pub aesthetic because it reminds me of me of my time living in the UK. Unbeknownst to us, we happened to stumble in this establishment at happy hour time where we had more than our fill of pints and bar food. I got the currywurst which was delicious. My mate got a pie which looked and tasted delectable as well. This is a good stop for food and drink with friends.“

“All you can eat fish 'n chips days are not to sleep on.The fish is awesome. Batter is thin, golden and incredibly crunchy yet gentle. Very tasty and satisfying! The last time I was there I was quite disappointed by availability of whiskeys. Lots of options were out.Scottish imported beer was there as always and as always great pours with perfect foam head.“

“This was our first time in as we just moved to the neighborhood and we loved it! We had come from dinner but decided we wanted some snacks. We had the fried pickles, pretzels, & ice cream with churros-- I was surprised but oh so happy they had some kind of dessert. The bartender was a super nice guy-- very friendly. He checked on us often and never left us waiting for anything. The interior was really cute and about what you expect for a corner/ neighborhood bar. We will for sure be back-- so glad we gave it a try!“

The on tap choices are very good and the food is delicious. Ample tv screens to accommodate your team of choice. I highly recommend this place.“

“I go here 2-3 times a week to sing, drink and mingle with every customer. Everyone talks to you and the staff is the greatest line up anywhere. They love their customers and they like to have fun, as I have seen them dance to karaoke or just being silly with each other. The front deck is amazing and I can't wait for the fun meals once the kitchen is finished. I used to make this a once a year place, but now it is a must stop everytime if out for drinks. Thank you Eileen, Theresa, Karen, Darla and Tracy for making me feel welcome.“

“O'Shaughnessy's is a fun spot that always seems to have a nice mix of regulars and newbies. We have been treated well there, and our most recent visit included us splitting a burger. I love the ambiance, as even when they are a tad crowded, it is not too loud.“

“Really cool spot, library vibes with ww1 history. Honestly the spot is very nice from the inside. We got the curry fries, pretzel and the sticky toffee pudding. I loved everything besides the sticky toffee dessert - such hope for that but turned out to be a small cake w caramel and nothing more- It needed iced cream not whipped cream. Regardless this place is actually worth visiting for a casual beer and maybe fish n chips/bangers & mash. Cheers!“
“My experience at this bar was in the late 70s and early 80s. My husband, Michael and his partner Micky owned this place when my husband was in medical school. There was one of many brawls here that were just hilarious. One in February when the entire bar cleared into the street and “dibs” chairs were thrown everywhere. The police showed up and everyone was back in the bar like nothing happened. It had a liquor rack over the square bar. There was a neighborhood Elvis impersonator dancing on the bar. All at once the liquor rack crashed onto the bar. My husband proposed to me there. Always something with a cast of characters. I’m sure it’s very different now. Great memories ??“
“This was my first time at Clancy's on 95th. It was clean and comfortable. The ladies behind the counter were delightful and easy going. A friend invited me to join her and a handful of her friends, to watch Billy Gray perform (he was fabulous with his deep voice. I listen to country music every once and awhile, but Billy had me moving my feet and tapping the table top to the music.)and we had a wonderful time. The beers were reasonably priced ($4 or $16 for a bucket of five. They give you wooden tokens to collect a cold beer when you are ready or the bucket if you prefer. My friend ordered a ham and cheese sandwich that was delicious and came with fries or in-house made potato chips. I would definitely go back.“

“The James Joyce is a local treasure. It’s the epitome of an Irish pub; friendly, good service, and a social gathering place. The owners have made it this way, and they will come by to meet you and welcome you. They have events like the upcoming “1/2 way to St Patrick’s Day”, and it’s absolutely worth coming by for a pint. “We are in town from KC & we were told to come here to watch the Chiefs game. We walked into a great place 95% full of Chiefs fans for the game. We had 5 star service (thank you Gloria!) and really amazing food. (Burgers, sweet potato waffle fries & homemade sriracha mayo) Yes bar food menu but REALLY good. Everyone was super friendly & we just felt so welcome. I would come here again in a heartbeat & if I was a local I’d become a regular. Thanks guys!“

“We came for Valentines to try the food and beer. The menu is simple and to the point. We both had smash burgers. Let me tell you, the burger was delicious. I went with the double and it was huge. I'll get the single smash burger next time. The cheese curd basket with ranch was really good. The atmosphere is chill, the food is yummy and reasonably priced. Oh and the beer on tap was nice and cold. Definitely coming again to try the pizza ? ?“

“I like to visit this place during the week because it is relatively chill on nights that are not fridays and saturdays. Their food is fantastic and they have a wonderful assortment of great drafts to choose from.pool table in the back and enough Miller highlife to supply an army of beer drinkers. They have an eclectic array of spirits! This joint is a must visit for those looking for a place to relax and feel classy while they do it.“
“we still had a great time at our show, very cute place, but the staff was a little bit rude to be honest :-/ not in just a direct/blunt way, but just flat-out rude in sort of a pretentious way is the only way i can put it. people have off days so i’m not discrediting the venue at all!“

“Another great find. Adding Tuman's Tap to my Favorites list. Great bourbon selection and reasonable prices per pour. Pappy 10,12 &23. And many other good whiskeys. The food is also great. Fun staff! Recommend it ?Parking: Pay parking on main St. Other free parking near side streets.“
“What a great place. Arranged a small goodbye party this past weekend at BP. Virgil helped me to reserve tables in the back and was extremely easy to work with. The service throughout the day was quick and kind, despite a larger group than anticipated. The back patio is always a nice vibe, and prices are fair. One of my favorite spots in Chicago and definitely in Bucktown/Wicker.“

“I went to The Arrogant Frog last night for the first time and Ryan (the owner and bartender) was so welcoming, friendly, kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. I went on a first date (that was a huge success btw) and this was the perfect location. It was quiet, lots of room to sit and had great atmosphere/aesthetic, great drinks, great service, and great location! I will be coming back many times. Future Arrogant Frog regular right here!!“

“This is one of those really cool, hip yet chill neighborhood bars. There's very little drama and it's just very fun. Matthew, the bartender, is a big part of it being a wonderful place. He's a terrific bartender and it's evident by watching him that he just cares so much about the patrons and Goldie's doing well. Plus, he's a great mixologist, so it's a lot of fun to watch him do his thing. Overall, it's a place I am so happy that I discovered. Dog friendly, too!“

“This is, by far, the BEST German restaurant in Chicago! Hands down!Erin, the owner, has created a spectacularly genuine restaurant that is warm, cozy and welcoming. It harkens back to those gloriously rich, cultured German dining spots of old while celebrating classic rustic fare that needs no introduction. The appetizer selection is grand and elegant and includes perfectly prepared hackepeter, a robust jumbo Bavarian pretzel, delectable potato pancakes and expertly breaded fried smelt. The lunch menu will satisfy ever taste with terrific savory sandwiches such as the Laschet's Reuben, chicken schnitzel, smoked pork butt and bratwurst. Mouthwatering roasted potatoes, spaetzel, sauerkraut and warm German potato salad are majestic accompaniments to choose from.Their dinners are all "Must Try!" and feature incomparable sauerbraten, Wiener schnitzel, rouladen, goulash and many, many other dinner highlights that truly stand out as superb.Much love, care and attention go into every meal that it's virtually impossible to pick an absolute favorite. They are all spectacular.Outstanding desserts include decadent German chocolate cake, delicious apple strudel and a "too-good-to-be-true!" apple crisp that really sets the bar really, really high.Of course, we can't forget beer! A full, traditionally beautiful bar showcases the finest, freshest selections of German and Austrian beers available to balance and compliment everything on the menu. The staff is just ideal! Friendly, professional, warm and attentive, the staff always goes above and beyond to make ones dining experience memorable. Bravo to them!!!After a great meal and a beer, it's easy to just sit back and feel relaxed, content and throughly happy. Perhaps sit at the bar when done in the comfortable dining room. You're amongst friends. Family. That's how this place make one feel.True, there are quite a few German restaurants in Chicago, but Laschet's Inn far exceeds the usual fare by building the flavor components to an eye-opening level and turns dining into thoroughly enjoyable moments not to be missed.Laschet's Inn is Chicago's iconic German restaurant, and it truly provides a 5-Star dining occasion to be relished.By all means, do become a regular!!!“

“I will definitely be using this establishment again! The staff was fantastic from the booking process to the service at the party. I never had to ask twice if we needed something, there were no attitudes and lots of smiles (As the host I was able to actually totally enjoy the party stress free! It was nice!). Everyone was very pleased with the food (the beef was amazing) and for me it was a huge plus because I have a wheat allergy so I have to eat gluten free if I want to breathe! When booking it was discussed they adjusted a few things and I was able to eat 90% of what was served.“

“Awesome neighborhood bar in Roscoe! My wife and daughter wanted to visit a bookstore, so my son and I visited here just two doors down. It was pretty busy for 3 pm, but we got a hi top table and placed our orders right away. We had a couple of Old Styles, and I tried the Krombacher pilsner. It was the beer of the month and very good. My wife and daughter joined us about an hour later and had a couple of drinks. This seemed to be a less expensive bar than most we visited in Chicago. That's always a good thing! Service was outstanding! I can't get over these beautiful Chicago bars. Long and narrow. Awesome architecture. Perfect setup here at Village Tap! Will definitely try and make it back here on our next visit to Chicago.“

“Admittedly was a skeptic of all the roaring reviews, but they are merited. Our server Alyssa was great - and convinced my wife to get the 1lb burger which she raved about, along with the warm, soft bread. I ordered the chili (temp hot and spicy hot) and the chicken piccata, and both were great. Healthy old fashions in a “your grandma’s basement” kind of vibe. Excited to go back.“
“The place is nice been going into the place here and there and everytime did not disappoint. The bartenders are very nice and cool, eager to play pool and vibe to make the time well spent. Supporting a female owned bar it's awesome to support.“

“This is one of my go to neighborhood bars with my fiancé! They have a special on the menu each weekday and it's always slightly different so you never get bored with the menu. Definitely recommend as a chill go to neighborhood bar to grab a bite to eat and hangout with friends“
“If your into dive bars, this place is a must!!! As soon as I walked in, the first thing that I noticed was the patrons. Everyone was in the their 'fave' seats, I was very particular about where I chose to sit. I sat down, none of the patrons barked or grumbled at me, I guess I'm in a 'safe' seat. I was very intentional about speaking to the bartender John and trying to 'squeeze' into one of the convos that involved the patrons. After a few drinks, I felt like the vibe in the room was loosening up. I asked John if I could take pics with my 35. He said, "There's no one in here with a 'side piece', take as many pics as you want". I made an announcement to the bar. I said that I would be taking pics of the bar only and these pics are exclusively for me. Everyone was Kool about it. But one guy insisted that I take a selfie with him. I was honored!“
“Really cool bar. The best that Western has to offer. Inside is nice. They expanded and now have two party rooms. The real draw is the beer garden outside. It’s huge and has lush vegetation surrounding a ton of tables. The bartenders could work a little faster. The manager looks like the guy from The Hills Have Eyes but he’s really nice. I love coming here.“

“This is a great place to watch a game and play darts. The bartenders were really cool. I asked one of them to make me a sweet drink and they made me a cool drink that looked like cotton candy and it tasted really good. So they can make drinks that aren't the typical bar drinks as well! They were also quick to get us new drinks. You didn't have to wait at the bar for 20 min.“
“This is the perfect neighborhood bar. Cash only! Bartenders are friendly and properly trained to make drinks. No food, but you can order door dash or whatever. Good beer list at reasonable prices. Pool Tables are free. Love that this is in walking distance from our house.“

“Went here twice during our week-long holiday in Chicago, both on a weeknight for a relaxed drink while listening to a DJ play some great chilled tunes, and on a Saturday night when it was busy but we found seats and had a fun time. Both were good experiences, with nice staff and good drinks. We really like neighbourhood bars so this was perfect, and in a lovely area too. It was the nicest bar we visited on our trip, and we will hopefully be back one day!“

“I love Taylor street tap. It is a great bar, with a neighborhood atmosphere that people frequent because they love coming back. Especially to see the owner, who’s there almost ever night; as well as the bartenders, Brian, Paul and Gray, with guest appearances from Olivia and Liam, among others.
