My problem came with the 3% credit card surcharge. I don't know how many customers pay cash, but I don't think the 60 cents was worth the loss of a customer.”

The service and food has never disappointed us. If I rated any establishment on only one experience whether bad or good I probably would never eat out because the people who prepare or serve us are only human and think about if someone rated you after only one experience and just so happens that day was an off day…….ponder on that for a while!”

“My family has visited Sushi restaurants in many locations, many cities, even Disney World. Megumi’s is our absolute most favorite one! “Went Halloween decor shopping today at Home Goods and had to stop in next door for a Crème Brûlée tea from UR teas. We walked up to the door and it was locked. The owner came and opened the door and said he was still there brewing so we could come in even though he just closed. He was super friendly and talked tea with us while making our drinks. If you’re ever out by this little gem you gotta stop in and give their Crème Brûlée tea a try. It’s my fav!”

“Really nice trio of young men working in there this evening. Took my picky daughter in and they made her a custom smoothie she enjoyed. They had a few people in line and they rotated us through quickly and efficiently each doing a task and got us in out and fast. They were all super courteous. I asked 2 of them their names, Dominic and Mikey...not sure what the other name was.. he was blending another smoothie as when we were leaving. Just wanted to give a shout out to them all as they were all great. Job well done Smoothie King! We'll be back.”

“Grew up on the Westbank with McKenzies king cakes and bakery goods. Had one I could ride my bike to and loved it Krummels reminds me of it so much! The king cakes are absolutely amazing and are the closest I have found to those classic McKenzies cakes we all loved (and yes, I have tried the “old recipe” versions as Tastee in Metairie.) Walking in causes the memories to come flooding back, the air even feels the same inside. Highly recommended”

They’re a 30 minute drive from our house but I’d drive three times that for one of these poboys! AND they’re open on Saturdays which is not the case with any of the other good poboy places in our area. Quick, friendly service too!! Can’t wait to go back!”

The owners are famous chefs from China. It’s not just Chinese food. It’s Chinese Cajun Creole Seafood and it’s ONE OF A KIND and AMAZING. The building is unique and gorgeous, the staff is extremely friendly.”

“Twin and Tan, the owners, were very friendly! They make sure the food is fresh, and Twin helps you understand the dietary values of the ingredients! We went to several other Sushi places around mid afternoon, finding out that they were closed and wound up at Twin’s place. She also introduced us to a complementary Emory salad that was awesome! We feel so very fortunate that we did end up there! We will absolutely be back!”

“I happen to be passing through town and found this place. From the outside it has a Mexican puebla look and the inside was big and clean. I had the enchiladas with salsa verde and a michelada and my sister ordered the carne asada tacos. The server was very nice and new the menu quite well. I mentioned to her I only like the spicy micheladas with salt and lime so if it was a sweet one then would opt for the margarita instead. She politely said okay but had a look like why would we make it sweet? Some Mexican American places do that but traditionally its salt lime and spices. Anyhow the enchiladas were pretty good. The portion was big and the salsa verde was mildly spicy with a little tang to it. I did love how the corn tortillas were a little toasted eventhough they were drenched in sauce. My sister's plate on the other hand made me and my brother in law jealous. I have no clue what he ordered and forgot about my own plate when the carne asada came out on a skillet with caramelized onions huddled around it. It was perfectly seared and lightly salted and the tortillas was fresh corn tortilla off the hot iron. If you like tacos let me tell you it does not get better then that. All in all it is a good place with genuine Mexican food and if you want to find other more traditional Latin American places ask the servers they know their food.”

“What a neat place in the center of Mandeville. I rode my bike from Fontenbluea State Park. They have bike parking. I had a cuban sandwich with fries on the patio. It was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. My server was fantastic.”

My husband ordered a white chocolate mocha at the Madisonville location and after we were several miles down the road, tasted it and it was NOT a white chocolate mocha but regular coffee and cream. We were already in Mandeville before he realized so we went to the location near Girod. The baristas there made it right and made my husband the drink he should have gotten at the Madisonville location. We love the Mandeville location and will continue to go back because of the excellent customer service. 😊”
