“My husband and I have went to this beautiful location where the service is great. The staff is friendly and professional. Oh my, oh my, the food is always wonderful and prepared with old southern traditional love. The price is fair and it is worth the wait, cost, and awesome food experience.“
“Boy you know the food is going to be ON when it's locals speaking Cajun French and chowing down. Had the shrimp poboy and the roast beef. Good stuff. Server even made me a margarita on the rocks. Best (and cheapest) margarita I had in or near the quarter. Geuax here yall. Simple good eating and a good value. See yall next time thru!“
“Traveling with a group. Cook was on floor trying to explain why food not done. Didn't have counts right. Should have focused more on food prepWaitresses were wonderful and worked hard. If in large groups, they struggle to get orders right even when pre-ordered well in advance.“
“Excellent old-school restaurant - heavy linen tablecloths, long wine list and attentive service where you can enjoy fine dining and hold a conversation at your table without having to shout. Perfect for a break from the loud, canteen style restaurants of the French Quarter.“
“10 out of 10! We have been in New Orleans fir a few days, just eating drinking our way through the city. This was my favorite meal, drinks and service. Restaurant itself is beautiful, our server Seth was super attentive, funny and made great recommendations. Best brussels sprouts I’ve had ever eaten!“

“absolutely amazing, I am a Traveling Chefthe oysters were melting your mouth. The beef tartar was perfectly seasoned. The drinks were amazing.I’ve been traveling to the city here now for the past three months and pass this place a few times because it was so busy. I was luckily to come in here, on a Thursday night, and not that many people are sitting at the bar I was invited with professionalism.creativity in the cocktails I will be coming back. Looking forward to seeing you guys next week. Thank you.Cheers“
“This would be five stars if there hadn’t been a couple of slipups as the food and atmosphere were great and the servers were both friendly and knowledgeable about the food. However one side dish never appeared (but didn’t show up on the check) and we were assured that they knew how to prepare an Irish coffee but this was not the case - it wasn’t even close to the real thing. We would also have appreciated seeing a few moderately priced bottles of wine on the list, i.e. in the $35-50 range. But still a very enjoyable meal.“
“It’s was a belated birthday dinner, and it was well worth the wait. Food was scrumptious, our waitress was full of personality. Kitchen was busy, but gave us time to breathe between courses. The white chocolate bread pudding was excellent and large enough for 3 of us to share. Thanks for such a delicious meal … until next time …“
“Ordered the seafood platter and a filet to share. Everything was great. We make a special side trip to eat here and were not disappointed. The only thing lacking was the bread which not great and New Orleans has good bread so it could have been better.Parking: Free valet, just pull up front.“
“We had the most amazing dining experience we've had in awhile. Our server was attentive without hovering. We ordered the gulf fish (Drum) for my son and we did the Chef's choice. Everything came out with perfection. Our drinks were never empty and no courses overlapped. Needless to say we left full and blown away by the whole team at Plates.“
“New Orleans is known for its fantastic food scene, but let me tell you, I stumbled upon a restaurant that truly blew my mind. The dish that stole my heart was the cajun penne pasta - packed with juicy chicken and spicy sausage, smothered in a mouthwatering cajun sauce that left me wanting more even days later. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this culinary experience!“
“We loved this place so much while vacationing in New Orleans that we went 2 nights in a row! The Blue Bacon Fries are seriously addicting! The blackened shrimp Alfredo was so good I ate every bite and it was a large portion. It's a must!“
“A rich experience for your palate. A very cozy restaurant with excellent atmosphere and good parking. A varied menu with competitive prices is a very good option. Their fast and orderly service. We thank Celia for guiding us to a tasty dining experience.“
“I’ve never reviewed my greatest restaurant ever but I will start now. In October my wife and I went to Emeril in New Orleans. Not an easy reservation but worth the time, effort and long trip from our home in Hawaii. Our experience was great. . We knew that there were plans to shut down Emeril for a total redesign from top to bottom. We waited for the exact date to try to get a reservation and luckily secured one. We had absolutely no idea what to expect. The experience we had proved that the “new Emeril “ is the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. I will not describe each dish since it would take up too many words but know that each dish was outstanding. Now I will explain why Emeril is #1 in the eyes of both my wife and myself. Online you will see that there are two Tasting Menus, no a La carte so we were at least prepared for what we were going to eat. We were not prepared for the following total mind bending and culinary experience. When entering Emeril you are greeted with a true Aloha greeting. We sat at the gorgeous bar since we were early and had a Vieux Care our new go to cocktail. The mixologist continued with the Aloha Spirit and made an exceptional Vieux. The bar area was awesome. In a very short time we were greeted by a hostess who escorted us to the brand new dining room. It totally blew our minds. Twenty or less tables with a huge space between them. You almost feel that you are the only guests there. The table we sat at had a large banquette that just added a new dimension to comfort. Large gorgeous pillows supported our backs. Almost directly in front of us was a huge glass enclosed kitchen. This was pure culinary theatre. Almost immediately a chef came to our table and asked us if we would like to see the inside of the kitchen. We didn’t bat an eye and followed him into the most gorgeous well thought out kitchen we’ve ever seen. The chef gave us a brief description of the kitchen, introduced us to the staff and the entire team offered up a special hello. We both felt like the greatest VIP’s. He then showed us to a small table next to us that had two champagne flutes with what he said was a rhubarb juice. Also on a plate was a cube of some unbelievable jellied concoction to showcase the ingredients. Back to our table and the party began. The two tasting menus were explained, one Classic and the other Seasonal. Then the Amuse Bouches started arriving. We expected only one or two. Nope, two sets, one group of cold, the the other warm. Each one was as great as the seven small main dishes. The beauty of the entire experience was that we both left feeling sated, never full. The service was impeccable. Never hovering but always there and totally knowledgeable about every dish and that includes ingredients. The sommelier was the antithesis of what many sommelier’s are. Being Wine Educators and Consultants we really appreciated his knowledge and communication skills as well as his passion towards wine. We had a dedicated service team who I would love to take with us to other great but not perfect restaurants. Jason Burse, the Assistant General Manager made the whole experience into a perfect culinary tour de force. This is why we both feel that Emeril is the Best Restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. Although expensive, it did not break the bank. Can’t wait to return next October.“
“I thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Cooter Brown's Tavern. During my recent visit – not my first – I indulged in their delicious fried oysters, which were simply outstanding. Additionally, their fried fish and cheese fries surpassed my expectations. The service was prompt and welcoming, contributing to the establishment's laid-back atmosphere. Undoubtedly, Cooter Brown's Tavern ranks among my favorite spots in New Orleans.“
“The host/manager was a bit off and made us stand in the doorway for several minutes before seating us in a near empty restaurant but once we were seated our server was great and the food was exceptional. Amazing gumbo and the crawfish mac and cheese was a winner. Solid drinks too. Check this place out.“
“Great food! My wife and I recently visited New Orleans and rode the trolley cars around. When we got hungry we got off and walked here. It has a cool local feel and is much quieter than downtown NOLA. The shrimp remoulade was an awesome appetizer! We also enjoyed the Creole shrimp and the fried softshell crab. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. We had a great time! Definitely recommend!“
“Lot's of decisions and they are all pretty good! You walk in place your order boil bags from shrimp to pig feet boil. (And everything else) And the other line they have is for fried platters. Both lines stay fairly busy. Which means...., The food must be pretty good or people wouldn't wait in line for that long to get an order. And it is that good. I got the softshell crab platter with fried rice, which was rather delicious. It was more than I could eat. and my husband had the shrimp po' boy sandwich He thought was pretty good. If you looking for cheaper and taste as good as the French Quarter then you should check it out.The ambience is so so it's really nothing to brag about because you just go pick up your food. Sit and eat it if you like and if you don't you keep it moving.“
“A neighborhood gem. We loved it so much we went there twice in our three day stay. We ordered an oyster and a shrimp po'boy with fries. It was all spectacular and the vibes were on point. This restaurant is a great example of a local institution keeping things simple and classic. Go and thank me later.“
“I was by myself, on a Saturday evening, and walked in without a reservation. They were able to sit me almost immediately, and super close to the live jazz band.Oh it was awesome!! I didn't want to ever leave!I had the gumbo and the fried oysters. They were absolutely delicious!! The service was spectacular. I felt taken care of and had such a great time. I atmosphere was perfect! You've got to try this place!!“
“A bit of mixed feelings about it. Let’s start from the end. The bread pudding tasted good but not like a bread pudding. It tasted more like a ‘cake pudding’. The scallops, all 4 of them were very salty, thanks god that all else was potatoes to clean the palate :). We expected more considering the prices and ambience.“
“We ordered lunch today from Suzie’s for our office staff of about 12 people. Everybody was very happy with the quality of the food. Not a single compliant from anyone and they provided great customer service. We will definitely order again“
“Although the potions have been significantly reduced over the years, the flavors remain intact. It is still a recommendable place even if there are long lines at the door. Prices have also increased significantly, but in my opinion they still serve the best barbecue shrimp on the planet.“
“These Po' Boys are THE best! We ate here 10 years ago and I did a little research to locate it so we could go again. Husband got the roast beef Po' boy and I got the fried oyster. OMG delish. Worth the Uber and the price of the food. Highly recommend. Met the owner and told him and he was so thankful and humble.“

“Located in the heart of Lakeview, Russell’s Marina Diner stands as a cherished beacon of New Orleans’ rich culinary tradition.Since its inception in 1985, this diner has carved out a niche for itself as the go-to destination for exceptional breakfasts, weaving itself into the fabric of the city’s dining scene. With a menu that spans the gamut from indulgent fried chicken and waffles to a diverse array of egg specialties, Russell’s caters to a broad spectrum of tastes. Not forgetting the health-conscious, the diner also offers lighter fare such as eggwhite omelets and sweet potato pancakes, ensuring that every patron leaves satisfied. The dining experience is further enhanced by the option to enjoy your meal either inside the diner’s cozy interior, at the counter where the local vibe thrives, in their inviting dining room, or outside on the pet-friendly patio, making it perfect for every occasion.During my visit, I decided to try the legendary Egg Saints #33—a daring concoction that perfectly embodies New Orleans’ flair for culinary innovation. This dish features a grilled biscuit topped with alligator sausage, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs, and smothered in homemade country gravy. Each component of the dish harmonizes to create a breakfast experience that is both unique and profoundly satisfying. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with the diner’s unmistakable local charm, enhanced by the friendly service that made me feel right at home. The ambiance, a blend of the cozy and the communal, set the perfect stage for what was to be an unforgettable meal. The Premier League playing softly in the background added a touch of camaraderie, reminiscent of a neighborhood café where everyone is welcome. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the food. The Egg Saints #33 was a revelation, transforming the classic eggs Benedict into a dish that captivated my palate and left me pondering the culinary prowess behind it.Every bite was a testament to Russell’s commitment to quality and innovation, making it clear why this diner holds a special place in the hearts of New Orleans’ residents and visitors alike. In a city lauded for its vibrant food scene, claiming the title of "best breakfast" is no small feat.Yet, as I left Russell’s Marina Diner, I was already yearning to return and dive deeper into their menu. This hidden gem is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience the soul of New Orleans through its food, served with a side of unmatched hospitality.“
“A wonderful experience in the place of experience’s. If your coming to Bourbon Street, make this a must do on your list. My Sazerac was spot on, and the food was authentic and very flavorful. Full on the food or not, you will be amiss if you don’t try the bread pudding. I also Don’t want to forget to mention the great service and the very friendly staff as well, they really made our first time visit to New Orleans a great one. Just wow!!“
“Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired. Our waitress barely stopped by to check on us. The food was fantastic. The charbroiled oysters were plump and meaty. The gumbo and coleslaw were both very flavorful. And the fried fish dinner was also fantastic. Is the service was anywhere near the quality of the food I would recommend 100%.“
“Recommendation from TikTok , location specifically & im so glad we came here. First spot and I’m amazed . I got the stuffed catfish & husband got red ponchatrain fish blackened . AMAZING both of ours equally. We scraped our plates ! We loooved our date oh yeah we got the voodoo egg rolls has crawfish —- THAT WAS SOOOO GOOD ! I’m sorry — just come and try yourself !“
“This place was amazing. Go here! Food is fire, customer service is 10 stars... PoBoy was to die for especially the spicy version. Gumbo was tasty! My husband loved the Catfish. I only wish i went back for another time while on our trip. Cool Vibes here very welcoming, they offer many hot sauces & the best part is the Have the red strawberry crème soda! This is what i liked and more. The portions were big & overall a great place to eat & go to.“
“I had a good little time here ?? the staff is so funny. Such a good time. We went for oyster happy hour and it did not disappoint. I think i had at least 2 dozen on my own and a hurricane or two. My friend had the gator bite and let me tell you it was BITING. Whewww I don’t think any of them finished it. Radioactive ☢️ the shrimp were pretty good too. I’d go back for sure.“
“Where to begin. Food. I would say the best filet in town! Sides were amazing and plenty to share. I am a French onion soup snob,(had it seven times in Paris), and it was divine! From the beginning, our party of five fell in love with Terrance and Thomas! And the gentleman with him, it was Double T double D! From napkin in the lap to folded if you left the table(it's the little things that are few and far between). They watched to see if refills were needed and were beyond attentive! The entree presentation was awesome! I cannot say enough good things! Fixing to enjoy a chocolate martini before leaving! It's a must if you are visiting Nola!“
“Not gonna lie: this one one of the low key, best bars and bar food in New Orleans. Im from chciago area and found this place on random walking in the area and the food is 10/10. Plenty of seating, diverse crowd. They have live music at times. I’ve come back a second time this weekend and it’s still a great spot. I will tell anyone to come here if they are visiting N.O.“
“Sometimes you wonder about these viral places, and I can confirm they’ve earned every bit of those glowing reviews. The fried pickles appetizer, so were the PoBoys. Can’t remember the last time I’ve had shrimp that good. And the fried pickles were bursting with flavor. Service is awesome, people are friendly.“
“I’m not really a big fan of Mediterranean cuisines, but this place is so authentic that I keep wanting to come back. I love how they provide huge portions of complimentary bread before your meal and pair it with pickled veggies. I ordered the fried kibby, lamb chops, chicken tikka, and beef shawarma. The portions are ginormous and definitely worth the price!!! You can tell everything is homemade, and my favorite is the hummus! It’s soooo good!!!! What made my dining experience even better was the service. Our waiter was phenomenal. Very attentive and accommodating to our requests!“
“Went there today 3/30/24, Nicole B #3012 was our waitress..... Nicole was very customer oriented, polite and accommodating. Nicole B is a top notch waitress and a great ? asset ? to Zydeco's restaurant.Ashley was super nice and friendly. Had all you can eat crawfish for $39.99 each. Crawfish was seasoned but not too spicy ? but not bland either. I ate 3 trays and the crawfish were hot each time.“
“Crawfish traditional cajun hot (2 lb. min. $6.99/lb. ) with 2 corns ($3.50). They give you gloves and a bib to protect your hands and clothes. My first time eating crawfish! Like little tasty lobster. "Hot" was plenty spicy?️ Cool art on the wall! Fast and good service.“
“We stumbled upon this establishment on our way to tour while on vacation. What a happy accident! We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“
“We had salty oysters, oysters on the half shell, Gator bites, and crawfish meatballs. Everything was delightful, but we were surprised that they can't count to 12. We were shorted one oyster, and at the price they charge, that's a big deal. When we called it to their attention, they graciously brought us the one we were missing plus one extra. All in all we had a great experience. Our waiter was top notch, thr atmosphere great, and Bryon was a delight to visit with.“
“I was in the mood for some gumbo & stopped here after reading reviews. The reviews don't lie - their gumbo was Sooooo good! The best I've had with perfectly cooked sausage, shrimp, & chicken and just the right amount of kick. I loved that the combo came with grilled cheese & potato salad; it was the perfect balance. We also ordered the lobster mash and it was delicious! I only got a few bites before my husband devoured it. We'll definitely visit next time we're in NOLA.“
“Cute and clean place with great atmosphere! We ordered pupusas, plato paisa, dessert and drinks. We left only empty plates there. Everything was delicious. Pupusas with the warm sauce-amazing! Grilled meats and shrimp-perfect, thick and tasty flan, refreshing rice water! Thank you for all.P.S. This place has All day menu and pictures of the food in the menu - this is very helpful.“
“It was my first time there, and I must say absolutely pleased. My reservations were accomdated fully. Our server was AMAZING, I wish I knew his name to give kudos. Steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Cocktails were priced well and were wonderful. Overall, it was a really great experience.“
“Peychaud's is a beautiful space with a fantastic, competent, and capable event team. Lisa did an AMAZING job helping us throw a welcome party, and she gave us recommendations that saved the day when we had terrible weather. I can't say enough great things about our experience. Thank you all again!“
“Great little spot for breakfast in the quarter. The ladies serving are all very nice and it’s relatively affordable for the location. Don’t forget to add the Cajun Tasso to your grits!Wheelchair accessibility: It’s the French quarter, so getting there may be a challenge, but I found them to be very accommodating to wheelchair-bound customers.“
“The food and atmosphere is incompatible!!! I love my gumbo and the Bayou burger (the meat patty is flavorful!) The ice cream cake (Mile high pie) is a bit pricy but I really love having sweets while enjoying the music (My friend doesn't like the mint flavor in the strawberry ice cream but I like it) relaxing atmosphere, The best combination of tasty food, and jazz music!“
“Fried chicken, fried gizzards, fried livers biscuits and dirty rice you can't go wrong!! Sometimes they'll overcook the gizzards, but pretty much everything I get from here is delicious and perfect every time. Fast food done right!“
“The food is so delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Friendly people and clean. Prices are very reasonable. We definitely are repeat customers. You have to try them and you will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy!!Parking: Plenty of parking spacesKid-friendliness: Kids get hungry too!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out“
