“The food was good. The tea tasted differently than what I remember. I can honestly say I've stuck with the rice dishes since the food has changed a bit over the years and some things just don't taste the same. When you're used to certain dishes and they don't taste like they used to it makes a difference for me. Been going to Happy Dragon for more than 35 yrs now. It's expected that food may change depending on the cook. Service is still great. Always friendly. Parking is definitely a challenge just watch the parking signs.“
“My best friend and I went to Earth for dinner last Saturday. I hadn’t been there for over a year. It was such a surprise, incredible, unexpected experience, way above our expectations. From a culinary perspective, the menu is super well balanced with dishes that are comforting and innovating. The kitchen executes it to perfection, using outstanding produce and cooking it all in a way that showcases each element on your plate, yet never managing to hide one from the other. One thing I loved was the fact that all protein was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, never needing any sauces to mask its own flavour. We had duck, fish, venison, roasts carrots, ravioli, the tuna sashimi, the scallops and the soup of the day.Portions are perfectly sized. In my opinion, outstanding value for money. The wine list is excellent. Diverse, affordable and complementary to the menu.Deserts were nice as well, especially the Opera Cake and the Pavlova (I could have had a pint of the home made raspberry sorbet that comes as a side to it!).Service was also a star milestone. We had Charlie as a waiter. It makes a huge difference when you have someone that is passionate about what he’s presenting to you, knows the dishes and can honestly tell you about what they are and make genuine recommendations, on top of being good at reading the table, being present without being fake about it, and overall just another highlight of the evening, without being intrusive or over the top (which I find can be the case in some similar restaurants that are training their staff to over sell or use key moments of the evening to interject and justify a tip, or make up for not so perfect aspects of the service).Earth’s environment keeps you relaxed in a very beautiful and elegant room that transports you to a little fairy land of an elegant lodge lost in a wintery forest in Maine. It’s very chic, yet not stuffy. It’s cozy. It has a great vibe for adults, no matter the occasion. But let the Earth’s environment set the mood, I think you should focus on the food, if you’re into it… you can have fun putting together your prix fix menu and have a jolly dinner with someone you like…The only aspect of the night that I think deserves attention from management is that we had a table next to us with a small child, 5 or 6, that was watching Nickelodeon on mum’s phone, without an earphone. My friend could hear Dora the Explora’s every move in her quest to find her backpack… but it was an early winter Saturday evening and the girl was a saint. I would however, empower staff to monitor and curb anyone using their phones on speakers, or FaceTime, while at their table. It was a GREAT dinner! Coming back soon!“
“After having to leave another restaurant in Kennebunkport due to discrimination, we were able to eat at the Boathouse. Everyone was extremely accommodating, and everything on the menu was incredible. I'll be thinking about the shrimp and scallop fried rice for a long long time.“
“My new favorite place! Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in and John, our host, sat us at the perfect swanky booth with the best view! Then our server, Leah, was fabulous with suggestions & service. Wonderful dining experience!“
“We always make it to Joseph's by the Sea without fail yearly during our OOB vacation. Bonus that's it close to the house we rent. Great atmosphere inside and outside, delicious food and drinks, great service, and the best live music. Always a fun time!“
“Our party of 4 was greeted at the door by a very friendly and professional woman. We were seated immediately, please get a reservation.Starters: Cauliflower and Calamari were incredible! Fresh Focaccia bread service was good.We had a Chef's Tasting of the Bolognese which is the crowd pleaser and we agreed ?%!Entrees: Cutler Cove Salmon and Shrimp Scampi which were Divine! The Duck Breast and Lobster Ravioli were delicious.Wine: Italian Pinot Grigio, TiefenbrunnerDessert: Coffee Gelato and AffogatoServer: Emily, such an amazing young person who had several tables and gave every one amazing service and recommendations.Parking: Behind the building, free parking“
“Kris had an enormous caesar salad w/ chicken salad. it was awesomeI had mussels & firecracker shrimp appetizers for my meal- very good & filling.I believe our waitress was Alicia talking about her awesome kitty. She’s a top notch 10* “
“I thought it was by the coast, it's in a small place in between a strip mall.Great parking, lots of it.TINY restaurant!! I think maybe 10 people can fit in there to sit down and eat. They have unique lobster roll combinations, market price on the lobster and plenty of merchandise to purchase.Over all, it was delicious and I was not disappointed in the lobster roll! The pulled pork sandwich... I've had better. If I'm in the area I will definitely get me another lobster roll :)“
“We love the daily specials! The wait staff has always been pleasant and friendly. This is our go-to place for special events. Try the hush puppies! You won't regret it. There are also plenty of choices for those that do not eat seafood.“
“If you're going to Goose Rocks Beach and looking for a spot to get dinner and drinks with family and friends, this is a perfect spot. It's open to people not staying at the hotel and located right across from the beach. We ate outside and had beautiful views of the beach. The inside has a nice trendy, coastal vibe. I had the noodle bowl and a spicy margarita. Our group also shared the wings -- the drink was great, and all the food was good. I've only been for lunch, but I generally prefer the food at the Boathouse in Dock Square (owned by the same group). During peak season, I can imagine this place is difficult to get into or find parking for. If you're not staying at the inn, you have to find parking along the beach, which fills quickly in the summer months (and I believe if you're not a town resident you have to pay to park).“
“I had the fried clam dinner. It was loaded with so many clams, I couldn't eat them all. I couldn't decide between the puffy batter or the crumb batter, so they did it 1/2 and 1/2. I was grateful now I know I prefer their crumb battered clams. The woman taking my order was helpful and friendly. I'll definitely recommend them and will be going back.“
“First time dining tonight, and it was phenomenal. Plenty of chips on the table, server was excellent and fast, food came out in minutes from ordering! The atmosphere was clean and the staff was so kind. The chimichangas we ordered were perfectly crispy and they accommodated change of sides! They even make guacamole in front of you. I am so impressed and will be back.“
“We happened upon them only an hour before they were closing for the season. Great people, great service, and great comfort food. My husband had the clam chowder and haddock platter and loved it. I had the shrimp sandwich with fries and ate pretty much every bit. Tasty!“
“Every time I come up to Old Orchard Beach, my family and I stop here! It's no frills, but a solid, straightforward meal. Everything is reasonably priced with portions that will leave you full. Once you walk in, you feel like you've been transported back in time. Old school decor, your classic American restaurant. On the menu, they have an option for a 3-course meal. They have various options to choose from for a fixed price! It's great . My only complaint about it is that they used to have steamers as an option for an appetizer in the fixed 3 course meal, and it is no longer included. I decided on clam chowder, Caesar salad, and stuffed shrimp. I enjoyed the salad, and the stuffing for the shrimp was buttery and rich, but the clam chowder was terrible. No flavor at all and extremely watery broth. Would never get that again. Overall, enjoyable sit down, family restaurant, and will be back next year!“
“Salsa - amazing! Great texture and flavor. Not 1/2 water. LolMain meal - ordered server recommendation from Honduran menu. AMAZING! Massive portion (probably would feed 4-6). Beautiful presentation. All the meat had incredible flavors, unique to the meat. Hard to pick my favorite. Plantains were the best Ive had.Highly recommend“
“We went there for lunch and had awesome meals. I ordered a lobster roll and must say I never had one with this much lobster meat before! It was loaded! Loved it! The sweet potato fries were cooked just right too! Just crispy enough! My husband ordered a lobster club sandwich which is a double decker with one layer of lobster meat and the other with bacon lettuce and tomatoes! He couldn't finish it! So good and very filling! You definitely get your money's worth. Great atmosphere eating out on the deck too!“
“Last night I asked a few friends from our TA class of 75 to come have a happy hour drink with a classmate who was battling cancer. I expected maybe 5 or so but word spread and we had about 34 in total. The staff and management accommodated us as we grew, moved us into a more private room, and the service was impeccable. The waitstaff was so attentive to multiple requests from all and never batted an eye. I can not say enough about this place and how well we were treated. Had some equally delicious food too!!“
“Awesome spot for lobster rolls. Little expensive but they are everywhere. Not sure I'd get the quinoa bowl again but also not sure the person making mine really understand what a quinoa bowl is haha so we'll give that a pass. Spoon fulls of quinoa on lettuce isn't it. Otherwise was very good. Would absolutely go back.“
“Such a fun spot for a cocktail. You get to witness the unique tide change, sit on the bow in the sun or underneath at the bar.I didn’t learn anything about the schooner, but it would be cool to have the story set up somewhere (maybe it is). It’s not as busy as some of the others spots, it feels a little exclusive. I think people don’t know how to get out to it.There’s a food truck set up outside, that you can bring onboard as well.“
“Smaller than I thought for dine in, only a few booths. You order from the counter and sit until they bring you your order. The food came out fast and was delicious. Portions were good. Several people in and out getting takeout from this place just after 5 pm. I'm pretty sure we were the only dine in while we were there.Parking: There were spots on both sides of the building (multiple businesses). I actually parked in the back, not realizing the entrance was on the other side.“
“Delicious! Vegetarian friendly, tempeh sandwich and best fish and chips around. But my favorite part was the curved baskets, they made it really easy to cut the fish. Don't forget desert, sea salt vanilla swirled with roasted pineapple was better then most ice cream shops.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved waving through the window at everyone walking by.“
