“A really good coincidence to come to Minneapolis for work and have the chance to try a place that was high on my bucket list of North America places to dine at. We will get to the food, that on its own deserves a visit, but takes a place to history and the philosophy of this restaurant, created as a full-service Indigenous restaurants that cooks only with decolonized ingredients - an amazing concept, a delicious experience, but above all a reminder these are occupied lands, with a year of abuse and destruction. As such, incredibly humbling to dine here, and an essential history lesson. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the Mississippi, and the food worth all the hype, and also a lesson on how creative and tasty you can be without wheat flour, cane sugar, or dairy, as examples of staples we constantly use and feel we couldn't live without. Started with the corn chowder, delicious with hints of honey. Then had the elk taco, the highlight of the meal, followed by the very good tartare as well. Finished with the squash custard, prepared with bison fat caramel, and also excellent. Multiple beverage pairings but I highly recommend the different teas.“

“My wife and I went there for our anniversary. It was our first time trying Baldamar. We got seated in Nate aka "Nate-Or" section! Man what a guy! Our experience was amazing! His energetic lifestyle brought so much to our dining experience. All the staff was truly remarkable. We had the prime ribeye, filet, bread of life, lobster mac and cheese, thr mushrooms and asparagus/crab were do die for! Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in MN!“

“I have a ton of food intolerances (nothing anaphylactic) and I rarely eat at restaurants because of it. I was so impressed with their willingness to help me find a meal I could eat! The manager himself stopped by to make sure they had the list of allergies correct before they placed the order. It was one of the best salads I've ever had! I didn't even think to take a picture, but I'll just say it was beautiful. :)Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. I'm grain free, dairy free, nightshade free, legume free, and cant have most oils except for olive oil.“

“What a cute spot! They have amazing bloody Mary's! This place is great if you want to stop in for a quick drink and a small treat or stay for a full meal! I went here a few years ago and found myself there this past weekend again. It was as good as I remembered and the staff were so kind! Everyone at brunch raved about their meal, truly exceptional! Their eggs were all cooked to perfection! Highly recommend if you are in the area. If you are ever in the area highly recommend checking this place out!“

“This is just a fantastic place! It's been one of my top places in Minneapolis for at least a decade and never fails to disappoint. It strikes a nice balance of being classic and fresh. With the bonus of having stellar food and service. Somehow I still think it's underrated with all the restaurant opening up. But if you want a top-tier place that never fails to disappoint, hit up the eatery!PS The butterscotch budino continues to be my favorite dessert.“

“Absolutely phenomenal food and experience. Our server Louis was beyond amazing as he took the time to explain the dishes, cocktails, and so much more. Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated!Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Phenomenal staff coordination and cooperation.“

“From the moment I reserved for a large group (8) here we were taken care of! 10/10 customer service from booking to finishing our meal. Our waitress even split appetizers on the checks and was perfect for providing the best experience possible.Food was ok, just wish there were more offerings. Very greasy cuban but Brussel sprouts were amazing and had a decent amount. The violet drink was pretty good but others at the table didn't think their drinks were strong/tasted like straight up juice.Vibe was great!“

“My new favorite restaurant. Everything we had was amazing! We had shareable plates, so we could try a bit of everything. We couldn't stop eating. Then, the leftover collard greens were great in an omelet the next morning lol. I'll definitely be back.“

“This place is truly the only food spot in Minneapolis I crave regularly. I only took 1 star away because 100% of the time I've sat in, they forget my bakery item and then are sold out and can't offer me anything. However, the sesame croissant is to die for so I always take my chances or at least order at the register.“

“Omg this is a must do!!! They have an Italian Giglio feature right now that is just so awesome. We booked a reservation about a month out which you have to do as it books out quick! You do need to pay in advance which I don't love but also makes sense and makes it easier at the end of the night. We were in the upper part of the restaurant and we just had a blast. Not only was the food fabulous, the service is quick, witty and top notch plus they have events and small moments throughout the evening to make it fun. We did trivia during dinner but they also had music playing and interactive food stations. For this feature the mozzarella and cacio e Pepe from the cheese wheels are to die for. I wanted to eat just that for my entire meal! Highly highly recommend.“

“This is one of our special occasion places! The food and ambience is always so great. If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is the place you want to take to impress them. We like the bar side, but went for a date night recently and ate on the dinner side. We had an impromptu four course meal that was curated by our server. We took out time and didn't feel rushed. Every server and staff seem to be in a good mood and polite, whether they are bringing you food, cleaning your table, or passing you on your way out. I definitely recommend going about an hour before sunset. PS the setting in the former monk's quarters is beautiful.“

“You walk in into a small yet inviting waiting area with a small bar. If you got the pre drink package, you get a small menu of crafted cocktails or you can ask the bartender to make your own. After your introductory drink, they take you to the dining area which is a U shaped are with the kitchen in the center. You get an amazing experience from start to finish with 7 to 11 courses; you won't leave hungry. The wine pairing is carefully selected for a perfect match to each dish. The food is TOP NOTCH. They way the flavors come together in your pallet is really an experience you need to have for yourself.“

“Had a great dinner on a Saturday night. The roasted beet salad was a perfect preparation - beet , citrus, ricotta - one of the best beet salads I have ever had. The parsnip ravioli was also a winner. My dining companion raved about his radiatori nero - had a nice spice!“

“They're busy on weekends after 9 AM, but well staffed and prepared for it. There are lots of options on the menu. They have an attentive waitstaff. I never have to ask for a refill on my coffee or my check. The food is consistent and good. If you ask for crispy hashbrowns, you'll get crispy hashbrowns. And, the last time I was there, we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering.“

“Came to Char Bar for the first time for happy hour on Saturday with Kim T. Char Bar is a speakeasy on the inside of Butcher & Boar (through the glass doors). We arrived around 4:45 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crazy busy, we were one of a handful of tables. The hour menu was pretty good! A good amount of food and drink items ranging between $6-10. I had the Chicken Sammy ($10), Kim had an Arby's style 3 Way Beef & Cheese sando ($17), and we split the Curly Fries ($6). I also ordered two of the non happy hour burgers to go ($8/each). I really liked my sandwich a lot, chicken was perfectly crispy, the slaw was savory and sweet, Polynesian vibes. I would absolutely get it again! Kim liked her sandwich but she said the sauce was too much and soaked the bottom of the bun, the curly fries were fine. I had a dragon tattoo cocktail, serenity pineapple rum cocktail, and a frozen rum & cherry coke slushy. Drinks were boozy but pricey! Loved the menu showing the drinks very cute and visibly pleasing. Update: Butcher Burger ($8) was sensational! It's no Parlour Bar burger but it's sooo good, tasted gourmet and traveled well. Fun fact: the restaurant group over Parlour Bar also owns Char Bar! I liked the pickled onions and the chipotle mayo cheese sauce, good solid burger for a good price!“

“It's a bar with a restaurant. Kitchen seriously needed some ventilation. Very smoky in the restaurant, not burnt smoke, or cigarette smoke, but just good ole fashioned kitchen smoke. Be warned when they're serving their brunch menu in the morning they do not offer their a full menu.“
“My expectations were probably too high walking in. The food was good, not as outstanding or as interesting as I would have thought. The grilled sea salt oyster on the way in was tasty. They brought us well prepared chicken, some sushi small bite, and other things I can't remember a month later that were enjoyable. The cake was dry and not worth the calories (or cost). The dietary restriction I indicated was missed but they were able to adjust in the moment. The atmosphere was lovely upstairs. We ate in the covered outdoor area at a shared table.“

“First time - and will be back! 5 of us ate and sharing is encouraged with the delicious, creative “foodie” options. Service was outstanding and excellent acoustics for conversation but still with an ambient chatter of other diners. Very good experience here.“

“Mariann was the BEST!! This was our 1st time here and she was so nice and patient.Be careful when you bite into the inferno burger!! The cheese went everywhere ? Good burger though.Warm Greens Grain bowl with Mojo pork added. Walleye bites for an appetizer and a peanut butter cup, ice cream and a complimentary brownie from the staff. They even have a photo booth. We had a great time here.“

“Food was good but it was super slow service, there were maybe 5 tables in the whole restaurant at the time we got there. The waiter just did not seem to care about the tables either, just very lackadaisical. There were only 2 tables in his section when we got there, he checked on us once after our order.“

“Great vibes. They serve food directly from Mannys so it's awesome. Great cocktails. Lovely fire and just a nice place to start your night before heading elsewhere or catch a drink. They usually have a dj which is awesome. The waiters are super nice and helpful and do their best to serve you. Overall this place leaves up to its name. Very laid back like you're in your living room getting ready for a pregame. Enjoy!“

“I've had the burger 3 times and it has never been good, always over salted and over cooked. Their fried chicken sandwich however is very well made.Servers have been friendly and prompt every time. The ambience is great, the lights are dim, and it feels cozy.The music however is way too loud. At the bar, it registers on my Apple Watch at around 78-80dB.The cocktails are easily the highlight. I've had a few of the house cocktails and they've all been top tier. They also make the IBA classics extremely well. They're brave enough to offer to put an egg white in the whisky sour and it definitely pays off.“

“Stopped by for an early dinner, there was no wait, which was nice. Had the crab cake as a starter, and that was delicious. Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She had excellent timing - knew when to pop in for refills on drinks and waters and overall had a very positive attitude and vibe. We had the Burgers and fries for dinner, and they were amazing! The French Fries are addictive. The only bummer was the limited menu. Everything we had was great. We would have loved more food offerings. We will be back, we had an excellent experience.Parking: Street parking only, read the street signs so you don't get towed.“

“It's been a while since my last visit to Ray J's, and I've always enjoyed their amazing wings. Last night, I opted for their Monday special – a $7 burger with fries – and it truly surpassed my expectations! The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, while the fries were hot, crispy, and accompanied by California toppings that made it an outstanding deal. I'm looking forward to returning soon and bringing some friends along!“

“We have dined at Bricks several times and this most recent time we had them cater a large networking event with 35+ other businesses. Briana and her team were excellent to work with. They helped suggest food choices, prepared perfectly to serve about 60 in attendance. Food was excellent, delivery was included along with some set up help. I highly recommend Bricks Kitchen and Pub to anyone looked for a great in person dining experience or a catered event!“
“The U of M Campus Club is a really unique and special place on campus - full of history and hospitality. It's a great place to meet with U of M community, clients, family, friends. We've participated in family events (Mother's Day Brunch, Easter Brunch, etc.), department events, seminars, Wine and Scotch tastings, countless lunches and enjoyable happy hours. The food is outstanding and the environment elegant and inviting - the views of campus and downtown are beautiful. Highly recommended!“

“I enjoyed a small salad with a garlic dressing. It was a good size and colorful. That's all I had cause I was on my way to a Yelp event. Basil got their version of fish and chips called sunnies. Small lake fish. Two more and you'll feel like you got your money's worth. There were more bluegills served for an appetizer at Acqua recently. Fries were kind of soggy. The tarter was good. About 3PM was a good time, not busy and our server was very attentive. I'm looking forward to burgers and other meat in a couple of weeks.“

“Food was good and plentiful. I wish I would have taken a picture. My plate was overflowing with loaded waffle fries, my fried chicken sandwich barely fit. Our server was great. The place has a cool atmosphere with several TV's to watch with different sporting events on them. Pull tabs are available if that's your thing.“

“My first visit here. It was busy, and a little slow in service/kitchen timing, but in their defense, we showed up an hour before Bingo night. Mackenzie P. was our waitress and she was hustling! Great attitude and super friendly, always checking in. Overall great experience, great Cuban sandwich and looking forward to coming back when the patio is open.“

“2 Dope Chicks has a seemingly endless amount of food options to satisfy all tastes and dietary restrictions. I ordered the Philly omelette with a side of hash. The omelette was phenomenal! Fresh Philly steak, cheese, peppers, onions, eggs, and creamy hash was a fantastic combination. I also ordered a sausage and bacon quesadilla with French toast, also delicious. I had to try the buffalo chicken Mac as well. Overall, pleased with my first time trying food here. Everything is made fresh to order so I recommend placing your order online ahead of time. 2 Dope Chicks is a fantastic food option in the Government Plaza section of downtown Minneapolis! There is a lot more on the menu that I want to check out (pizza, catfish, tacos, burgers).“

“Dive bar feel. Chips and salsa were delicious with the cantina style chips and not too hot/spicy salsa as well as delicious cheese/queso dip too. Service was quick and friendly. Bathrooms were clean and accessible. Lots of drink and food options for a quick stop.“

We came without a reservation and it felt like we needed an act of Congress to get a table even though the restaurant is only half full. Still a good night out but could have been better,“

“This was my first time a TopGolf. It was a lot of fun and I am no golfer. There are games for less experienced folks and I would recommend them to newbies to start with. The only complaint is to park literally in the front of the building as anything near the actual ranged is a target. As we left, we saw a woman leaving with a cracked windshield from a ball going thru the net and hitting her car.Parking: DO NOT PARK NEAR THE NETS“

“We were a group of four here on a Saturday night around 8:30. I tried the brussels sprouts and the Tagliatelle. The brussels sprouts were incredible and the tagliatelle was so tasty, packed with tons of lobster meat and delicious little lemons. I can't imagine anything on the menu here isn't absolutely delicious. The ambiance is perfect in here - upscale, elegant but still casual. It's on the pricier side, especially given the smaller portion sizes but the smaller portion sizes are still packed with tons of flavor.“

“Great place with good food and service. Went early on a Friday night and when we left it was full. My wife had the juicy Lucy and I had the grilled chicken on a ciabatta bun. Both were delicious along with the mozzarella sticks that we ordered for appetizer. Definitely will be back.“

“Got the Mac attack burger. Sandwich Size was smaller than expected but it was pretty good. High rating because it's a unique Sandwich. Needed salt though. Fries were a mixed bag. Love the crunch and texture. But the taste of onions on them was overwhelming. I presume they fry a lot of onions in the oil. It's not bad, just not what I expected when i eat fries. Overall I recommend the place. Especially if you like onions and their flavor.“
