“James, our server, made it a fun evening. The food as always, was perfect. We had the caprese with lobster salad to start. Light and tasty. Then we had the 12oz Australian Wagyu, cooked to perfection and just about as good as Japanese Wagyu for a lot less. Served sliced and placed in the middle. We love Wagyu and this is a special dish. We were thrilled they had it tonight. We also had the pasta special, spinach tagliatelle with shrimp and scallops and a cheesy delicious sauce with bacon, almost like a carbonara. Not ultra creamy but super good. Big shrimp and scallops. Finally we had the Truffle Mac and Cheese which is addicting and awesome. We brought some home for our grand daughter. Napoli 2 is a great restaurant.“

“Wow! This place was soo cool. I found it via Google search for a good Cuban sandwich. I realized that I came here as a child when it was just a bar. The atmosphere is soo cool inside. The food is the best part though. The Cuban honestly did not impress me visually, but when I took a bite... oh my! The pork butt was soo good. My mom had the famous Picadilly fish. She wanted to try the Mayfair salad, but didn't want the whole salad so they made her a side salad with Mayfair dressing. They make this dressing in house and its amazing. I had a cup of Gumbo with my sandwich and it was soo good. I forgot to get a picture of it, but I have to believe it was homemade. I will definitely come back. You should come try it too.“

“We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! We tried the Brussel sprouts, an heirloom salad with delicious bread. Our entrees were the butcher steak and the burger. The steak was wood fired and super tender! The burger was delicious. The fries and shishito peppers were very good. We highly recommend this hidden gem and thank Autumn and Julie for making our stay in St. Louis so memorable! Oh, try the Secret Door specialty drink, a next level Old Fashioned“

Fun, quirky, cozy place with great service and ample room to spread out and have fun. As others have said, great dive bar, hidden gem, etc. In the case of this place, it's both the journey (to get there) AND the destination (a place you want to be) all in one. From the super cool 100+yr old one lane bridge on the road in, to the money stapled to the ceiling, this place would be equally at home in places like New Orleans or Chicago. “Had a great experience around 6:30pm on Friday night. It was pretty busy with a line to the door, however, the only reason the wait seemed long was because I was hungry and the menu looked so good! When we got to the front counter we were greeted by a nice, very hard working female. Food came quick after we ordered! My husband and I shared the Locoz fries with asada. This was my personal favorite. The fries were nice and crispy (not soggy at all). I loved the pico on the fries as well as their special sauce! Great ratio of steak, cheese, sauce, pico, etc. we also shared three gringo tacos (tinga, pastor, Camaron). My favorite was the pastor and my husband's favorite was the camaron which is shrimp. Beware, these tacos are messy ! Grab lots of napkins. The last thing we ordered was a side of esquites. It wasn't my favorite version of esquites but it was pretty tasty. I think next time I would have topped my tacos with it or tried a different side Next time I want to try either a quesadilla or burrito. They looks AMAZING!! Both big and cheesy!! They also have bottled drinks. I'm not a big beverage fan but this always excites my husband. He got a grapefruit Jarrito (picture of the beverage menu are listed with a picture of the cooler) Parking was hard on a Friday night. We parked across the street in the schnucks parking lot but there is also street parking“

“It was the first time having St Louis style ribs. They were fried and burnt to the consistency of charcoal. If that's the way there supposed to be then fine and not for me. The staff was very accommodating and let me switch them out for some dry rubbed smoked ribs and they were good. I also had the brisket and it was very good. I would go back again. Just need to know about the St Louis ribs. Not willing to give up.I was in town again and decided to give this place another try. The Mac- n -cheese, fries, popover, and this time the ribs were excellent. However the brisket was dry and tough. It really should not of been served. All the standards are on the menu, plus some very nice real Mexican options. The place is not fancy, but it is laid out well, except there is no real waiting area when it is busy. It was very busy both times we went. Service was great with a friendly staff. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. We have had Mexican all over the U.S. and have lived in New Mexico and Texas and have traveled all over Mexico. So we have a broad base for comparison. Frequent visits and you'll be remembered - that's a great part of going here. My one complaint: It is loud. Very loud. It was pretty good, but.......best ever? I knocked the atmosphere for this place down a star because the interior lighting was way too dark for my taste, but that's just me. Coming in out of bright sunlight makes it a safety issue in my opinion. I will mention that this was one of the few places I've been that really knows how to do french fries right - crunchy outside with a soft interior. “Murph has put together a bar that has a great sense of community. Every time I've been here I feel like everyone knows each other but they've also welcomed me into the group. The clientele seems to be pretty diverse and people are just looking to chill out and have a good time. The drinks are reasonably priced and they allow you to bring in food from outside. The fact there is a Dominos next door makes this outside food policy even better.Be sure to look the bar up on Facebook because they often have special events going on. For example tonight they had a pinball tournament going on in the back of the bar and a wrestling trivia night going on in the front. If you're a smoker they have two smoking areas outside, one in the front and one in the back.If you like pinball they have a wonderful collection of machines and they are all .75. These machines are all in excellent condition and you can tell that Murph is a fan of pinball.Parking: Lots of spots. It's a strip mall shared parking lot. I've never had a hard time parking here.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed until 730 (or something like that)Wheelchair accessibility: A few tables might need to be pushed over a bit but there should be no major issues getting a wheelchair into the building.“

“Fun, affordable and tons to do. The Old skool shuffleboard game alone is worth stopping by if ya haven't played in a while. Jukebox pumping an array of music as eclectic as the regulars open to close. Home for persecuted smokers and In my opinion best burger in town. Did I mention TJs Pizzas?Vegetarian options: Giant fresh salads. Try the chef. It's my fav. Takes me 2 days to eat and doesn't get soggy. Substitute the meat n eggs for extra veggies and croutons w/ Italian dressing. It's the shizzle?Wheelchair accessibility: Parking available upfront street level no steps 2 bathrooms available for anyone with a hitch in their giddy up.“

“Food was very delicious and flavorful. I really enjoy authentic Mexican food, and hit the nail on this one. The corn they give you on the side was delicious and sweet and very moist. The drinks were deli's as well. The service was amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. The inside was very clean, spacious and dim lit. Can't wait to go again and try more food.“

“Went to the Ritz last night for their New Years Celebration. My shoe strap broke when walking in and I didn’t know what to do. But the staff there saved the day. I’ve never experienced such amazing hospitality. They saw me struggling and came to my rescue. Shoutout to Kenna for helping me. She not only offered a solution, but she sat on the floor and took 10 minutes to fix my shoe herself. All of the staff are so amazing and kind. My shoe stayed on all night and I was able to fully enjoy their amazing party. Thank you guys again ❤️“

“We had our mid-winter Model T Ford lunch here. Probably 25-30 folks showed up. They have an area that was able to accommodate us all, and we had great service, even though we were a larger party. The serviced was spot on, drinks came out quickly and the food orders followed close behind. So many different dishes were served and it seemed as though everyone enjoyed the food. They did not seem to mind we sat around for a couple of hours swapping our stories. Another nice thing was they let us have separate checks, which makes for a much easier time for our group. There is more than one location in the area, and we plan on trying a different one next time.“

“This is definitely my favorite Chili's location. The staff is super friendly and my food is always correct. They make a pretty good Arnold Palmer. Last time I was there, my crispers were not as hot as they should have been. They were just kind of warm. I love how much honey chipotle sauce they put on them though. It seems like the other local Chili's kind of skimp a little bit.“
