“As a foodie and a snob for the finer foods I’ve traveled a lot in the name of culinary excellence. Without exaggeration, this is in the top three restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The simple menu has just been perfected. Crab cakes, a dozen raw oysters, roasted chicken (the absolute best), and crème brûlée. This establishment has set the bar for fine dining in St Louis.“
“This has been the most exceptional dining experience in a very long time. Me & my friend came in for a quick bite. We were greeted immediately & told to hang on a sec & it was literally a second. Mike the waiter was very attentive & took care to our almost every need. Chef’s kiss to Yellowbellly!“
“Amazing food, beautiful presentation in a lovely location! If you haven't tried it, it's a must!!! We will be returning and recommending. Our party of 4 had 2 starters, a ceviche and 4 entrees- everything we ordered was beautiful and delicious! The servings are very generous and we all had leftovers to take home to enjoy.“
“This is a VERY nice restaurant in Clayton. I didn't realize it was fine dining and showed up in a hoodie and jeans. At first, I was concerned that I would be turned away or treated differently because of my attire, but that wasn't the case. We ( my son and I) were led to a booth and ordered drinks. My son ordered a burger, which looked delicious. He confirmed that it was. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was to die for!! Velvety smooth and full of chunks of lobster! Honestly, the BEST lobster bisque I've ever had! For dessert, we had cheesecake, and again, it was divine! The atmosphere is beautiful!! You are immediately filled with a sense of calm. Its the kind of place you would take someone for a very special occasion...like a marriage proposal. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of and will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: It is NOT a place for small children.“
“Amazing food, service and staff across the board. Our waiter Maz is in the team picture of best 5 waiters I’ve ever had. Attentive beyond necessity! What waiter pours 3 guys bottled beers into a frosty glass? Maz does! Total understanding of menu, ingredients and recommendations! Highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Maz! Definitely will be back next time i’m in St. Louis!“
“I love the food. However, I just realized they charge 15% gratuity on carry out orders. I just paid $15 to have my food put in a plastic bag. And I always tip for carry out, not knowing until today that I'm tipping on top of the 15% they've already added.“
“This is in contention with the fanciest place that I've ever had dinner. I had the steak and mashed potatoes, both of which were the best that I've ever had. I added a succulent bone marrow butter that I still think about from time to time. The service is top notch as you would expect. If you are driving you have to valet park. Be prepared for that. Also, plan to spend money. It was the most expensive ticket that I've ever had.“
“Another fantastic evening overall at TMH! We snagged the last Fish and Chips special thank goodness bc it's a new favorite you've got to try. The Salmon risotto special was delicious, as was the beet and butternut squash salad topped with salmon. Of course the Denver Wagyu was perfectly prepared. The bourbon smash is a must try. Addison, our server, is always delightful; the service at TMH keeps us coming back just as much as the food! Best place to eat and drink on Main Street!!“
“I love Mexican food, and I've been here previously with a coworker bit wanted my wife to experience the place. This is more than a restaurant, it's a destination! The food and service were excellent my last time here. Although on this visit, the service was very slow, and my wife's Quesadilla was way overcooked.Every place can have an off night, I'll say this was their off night. We will be back. The carne asada was outstanding!!!“
“Just a heads up they do have a sign that says they can search you before entering. We came in a Saturday night and it was busy! They had two customers celebrating their birthday so the bar decorated the entire place! There is a DJ in a booth. There is a stage to dance. Outside there is two covered seating areas, fire pits and tons of room for at least fifty people. The bartenders were very nice. They made us lemon drops which were delicious. The atmosphere is very neat, laid back and fun. They promote for 35 and up for the "grown and sexy." It is a club feel.“
“Cobalt Smoke & Sea is the perfect marriage between surf & turf. They have something for everybody! This is a spot where you can bring a seasoned foodie or a curious food newbie. The ambiance is enchanting illuminated with lit up Ginkgo trees stationed around the restaurant.See below. This is unique.Step 1: Pick a protein. I chose scallops. You could also choose Sea Bass, Salmon, Tiger Shrimp, Rainbow Trout, Beef Tenderloin, Pork Chop, Cornish Hen, Ribeye, & Wagyu.Step 2: Pick your style. I chose Mediterranean which included saffron risotto, olive tapenade, Italian herbs, & basil cream sauce. You could also choose these styles.Traditional - whipped potatoes, haricot verts, crispy onion, and béarnaise sauceHarvest - sweet potato hash, bacon & kale, charred lemon & maple bacon butterCaribbean - dirty rice and andouille sausage, fried okra, & blackening spices remouladeIt creates so much versatility for your dining experience!“
“It was a very positive experience, great service good recommendations from our server, management stopped by and further enhanced the evening. The branzino was great, lobster pasta was great. Another in party had the halibut and it was very good. The ceviche and mussels as starters were very good. Not sure about the “chips” for the ceviche and needed more bread with the mussels, that sauce with the mussels shouldn't be wasted“
“My son’s took me to this place for my birthday brunch. He reserved a table so I highly recommend you check availability to avoid long wait time. Our waitress Mone’ was Awesome ?? she had our table set and ready upon our arrival. It’s a small location but it’s nice there’s video music ?playing on the big screen ? at a low volume and conversational paintings ?️ on the walls while you wait for your order. I ordered the lamb chops with the glaze sauce on the side it was delicious, my son’s and my mom had the shrimp Alfredo, fried potatoes, stacked pancakes, fried chicken, French toast all was good. It was funny that we all eating saying okay this taste good and my son was like mama let me taste your lamb chops I handed him a bone with a little meat? Try this place out you will not be disappointed“
“We came here to try something new!! Wow! Our server was Ross, and he was amazing! We told him that this was our first time and he brought us samples! They were great! My boyfriend got the catfish and shrimp dinner with red beans and rice and hush puppies!! I ordered the lobster and shrimp pasta! It came with Caesar salad and garlic toast!! Ross did not tell us how big the servings were and we had to take some home! The atmosphere was great like in New Orleans and Mardi gras! They have the Blues Brothers out by the front door so can't beat that!! We will be back!!“
“went for lunch & was sat in sabrina’s section — sabrina was freaking hilarious and had amazing customer service skills , she is an amazing server and deserves all the recognition possible (and maybe a raise) , will def be coming back !!“
“Happy hour! They have a great happy hours Monday- Friday 4-7 and 10-close… Look online for the details but the hurricane, muffaletta, peel and eat shrimp were pretty good. Fun ambiance with nice music. They have life music but we came to early. Totally worth checking for a good deal… we did get some of the house infused rums, got a daiquiri and a mojito… pomegranate and strawberry mint (or similar), both drinks were good. Recommended.“
“Website says dress code was “smart casual”, and in actuality it was far more casual than that. People were in sweats, hoodies, one wore shorts to dinner when it had snowed 6” that day. It made me wonder who didn't care because they were rich versus who didn't know about dress code.“
“After seeing this place for a while driving by, we decided on a small celebratory evening at Bristol. We were not disappointed. Food, service and accommodation did not disappoint. It was our first visit, and I think the next time, we’ll request a different seating area, though. I understand in fine dining establishments, a first visit can place you, as someone unknown, at a somewhat less desirable table location. I did not find our table objectionable in any way, but there were others I would have preferred. This is by no means a complaint, just an observation as I have found this t be something of a normal protocol in fine dining restaurants all across the country that my wife and I have visited. I think my out-of-state phone number labels me as a traveler who is just stopping by and will not be a repeat customer. Again, not a complaint, just an observation.“
“Jordan took care of us and was super friendly. The food was amazing, and I would eat here every week if I lived here. The other kitchen staff and front staff were very helpful and kind our experience doubled due to this! The little robot that came to our table was also adorable!“
“We visited about a hour before closing, first time visit and unfamiliar with the area. Easy street parking. The owner was there working with his staff. Love to see that! We waited a bit for our food but once it came everything was outstanding! Hot, fresh and tasty. Only complaint is how cold the building was but maybe the heat was off because it was close to closing. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!Parking: Street parking, but sure if free. I didn’t pay. ?“
“This was my first time going to dim sum in St. Louis. I was surprised at how spacious the store was with its high ceilings. The staff was passing around putting dim sum in a cart, and it was an authentic style where you could take what you liked. The fried rice had a good taste, but the rice was crushed. I couldn't eat the seafood dim sum that I was looking for, so I would like to get revenge again. Prices are also reasonable.“
“I took my daughter who's 2 on her first bus ride. It must've been God's Plan. Our scheduled day had changed just as our little adventure had begun. At first, we were just going to go home. Instead, we detoured inside to the KING CHOP SUEY on West Florissant. We had such a wonderful and memorable time! The lady took our order and was so very patient. She made our day so much better. (I wish I had learned her name.) My daughter and I sat in and ate. Well, I sat, the baby sat every once in a while. (terrible 2's ?) No one complained, made faces, or gave any attitude. The food was SO GOOD, even the Crab Rangoon! It was hot, fresh and made just as asked. She called out my order as a number but I didn't have one. (it's on the receipt btw). I told her she hadn't given me a number. She didn't argue that she did or give me any flack. She just asked what I ordered. I found it later in my pocket later with my change. (Sorry Ma'am ?) I also asked for something so my daughter could eat on her own. She gave me a cute little baby sized box. It was perfect. The place was very clean, AND I felt safe, which is really something to say in St. Louis City. So, as we're walking through the door later that night, when we FINALLY got home, the first thing my daughter said was RICE!! So we ate the leftovers. That was probably the clearest thing I've heard this girl say besides No, Mama, and Juice. Thank You Guys So Much!!! If ever I get another chance, I'll be back. I definitely recommend this location to others. A much better than their competitors. (Place Unspoken)Kid-friendliness: My daughter and I sat in and ate. “I frequent the restaurant for brunch and happy hour and this was my first time coming for dinner. Although my party had a reservation, we still had to wait 30 min for another party to get up. The party was rude even though they were told several times to leave. To accommodate us, the manager provided free apps and dessert. The wait was disappointing, but the server Jackie made up for it with her warm hospitality.“
“I had been looking for another good black, owned fish, restaurant, other than mothers. Even though I like mothers fish, there aren’t many around…. When I found the Fishhouse, I realize I had found a home.. it’s a family owned business, and their fish is fresh and fried well. They even have good sides, and I don’t usually eat everyone’s side dishes.“
“Great Place to dine ? The Cajun boil bag is DELICIOUS! It came with ? corn, ?potatoes, sausage ? and shrimp ? Awwwe Man the broth n sauce in the bag was soo tasteful and full of garlic ? and it came with a side of garlic bread ?Definitely will be eating here again?? and recommending to my friends ?“
“Stopped by randomly when we saw a barbecue smoker out back. Glad we did! Ribs were awesome - don’t forget to order the Mac and cheese, it was so yummy! Wish I’d taken a pic but we ate everything so fast. Also can’t beat the people, nicest owner and staff. Definitely going again.“
“Would have never even known this place existed, but we got a "seize the deal". Started with the chicken wing special. We are both very picky, and these wings were cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. We got the cod dish to split. We could have split the half. Such garlicky goodness. We live in Portsmout and will go again. The picture I posted is half.“
“Well, I've only been once to get oysters for a NYE soiree. The industrial park joint was none too fancy and, of course, smelled about like you'd expect a seafood wholesaler's to, but super friendly service, solid selection, great price and quality, so five stars for my needs.“
“Pretty solid. Was our first time having Indian, so this was a new experience. We got the dinner for 2, the soup was super good! The chicken tikka masala and the lamb curry was nice, though my lamb had a super crunchy bit that I couldn’t tell what it was. Not as spicy as I was hoping for but I was happy. The rice pudding they gave wasn’t very good, had a muted taste. The bread was excellent. Service was okay, the servers weren’t very chatty and we had like 4 different people checking in. Kind of an awkward experience. Would definitely get carry out or go again!“
“Quaint little restaurant with authentic Mexican cuisine. The staff is nice and attentive and the food is delicious! They have gluten sensitive options as well.Vegetarian options: You can get just about every dish without meat and it will still be delicious.Dietary restrictions: Great place for gluten sensitive customers because you can substitute wheat for cornParking: Ample free parkingKid-friendliness: Plenty of choices on the kid menu.“
“Had my phone delivered to me. The food was really good, been avoiding take out places/restaurants for a while bc I’m very particular but seriously the best take out I’ve had in a while. Never in my life ever been a tart sauce person but OMG best tartar sauce I’ve ever had. The shrimp was outstanding (again not something I eat Ever!) it’s a bit of drive for but I’ll definitely be back“
“Ambiance = none I stopped in for plain white steamed rice to go. The smells are AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL so upon entering I was disappointed to see a large too With really no decor only tables and chairs. I did not go on a tour, nor peruse the online photos so I'm guessing that the back rooms are sexy intimate dining rooms. But that's for you to check out! Enjoy“
“Passing through the area at lunch time, hungry for local fish, I found Podner's and got their catfish nuggets and fries. Yum!! The ladies who served me were very kind. The place isn't fancy, but sometimes the best food is served in a humble atmosphere. Thank you, ladies, so much!“
“I visited here for my daughter birthday it was really fun I liked that we can dine in it was very nice & cozy, I think the crew thatbI was with wrote their names like over the place in different parts of the store, I had a good experience here ...But I know after that someone found a bug in their food they which I knew them. & I haven't been back every since..Do anyone know if they still have bugs bc they were good when I visit?Comment if u know“
“The customer service was AWESOME from the time I walked in. I ordered a Turkey Melt Sandwich with the sauce on the side. There was a picture of the sandwich on the menu board beside the description of the sandwich. I ended up with a turkey burger. I went. Back in to ask about my order and was told by the Chef it was not what the picture shows and that it reads a Turkey Burger. The Wonderful Lady at the counter confirmed what the menu board shows. It read Turkey Melt !! All I got was a Sorry about that from the. Chef.. I definitely didn’t expect that. I knew then that I would not return..Parking: Parking was great“
“..tried to order a fish combo,.... Jack and tilapia,.. over the phone,.... bad communication and understanding,.... placed order at counter,....12 minutes late,... after dodging water catchers along the entrance,.. I was giving this mess I found out at home ? later...... EVERYTHING IS DRIED OUT!!!!.... and they say it's not their fault,....... check your food,.... before they put it in the bag...and usher you away“
“Listen, I totally forgot about this place until I was looking for a shrimp po' boy and I am so upset that I have missed about a year of their food. Stop and get something even if the line happens to be long. It is WORTH THE WAIT! Even my kids like their fish, which is highly unusual.“
“Yum yum yum. I called ahead since there were 10 of us coming in & they had the table ready with no questions! It's a smaller area so if you do have a larger group I would definitely call ahead. Tried almost everything on the menu & it was all amazing. I don't think you can go wrong! Parking is all street parking so don't try to drive directly to the restaurant!“
“I've visited AAA twice and so far they are 2 for 2! Both visits, my food as been delicious. You can taste the love that the was cooked in the food. The wait is never long, even though it can get busy. The cashiers do an awesome job of handling their in person customers while also tending to the many call in orders. I enjoy AAA and they have yet to disappoint.“
“The shrimp Alfredo taste hellla good?? but only came with 3 shrimp ??? I even called the guy and said I’ll pay for extra shrimp so he said I could cashapp him $5 for extra shrimp. So I do it thinking he was gone look out for me and I get it and it’s 3 shrimp in the whole thing ??“
“I love this place. Food is always good. Large portions. Decent prices. A lot to choose from. Super friendly service. I have also ordered from Doordash delivery several times and its always perfect. Diner style delish! My fav breakfast is the steak tip skillet and the Buffalo tenders are super good too. I loveee the homemade potato chips dipped in ranch. YUM!“
“I have dined at the Preston before and found it to be a great experience. The food is still very good but the space is looking tired. The paint on our table was very chipped and the decor for Christmas was disappointing. The server was friendly but not very efficient.“
“I enjoyed the Superman Loaded Baked Potato with sour cream, and it was delicious. Now, it is a really cozy place, and by cozy, I mean that there are 3 very small round tables.Other than that, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They took their time to explain everything to me, and I never felt rushed or that they were annoyed by my questions about their menu and food preparation. In all, a solid 4.9“
“I was leary about trying Kay's out because it was almost lunch time. I took a chance and I'm so happy I did! I got the Lobster fried rice and garlic parm wings and fries. It was delicious! The rice was moist (the Lobster was a lil over cooked) but it was still good. The wings and fries were yummy! There was no wait when I arrived. Customer service was great, I waited maybe 25 minutes. It was worth the wait really happy I stopped by!“
“Did an online order and went to pick up. First time there, and I wasn’t sure where to pick up. Went to walk up window and food wasn’t ready yet. However staff said go ahead and wait and we will bring it out. There was 2 mins on my catfish. It was another 5 or so minutes but all of my food was hot, fresh, crispy, and good. They provided plenty of sauce and we really enjoyed our meal.“
