The chicken tikka masala and the lamb curry was nice, though my lamb had a super crunchy bit that I couldn’t tell what it was. Not as spicy as I was hoping for but I was happy. The rice pudding they gave wasn’t very good, had a muted taste. The bread was excellent. Service was okay, the servers weren’t very chatty and we had like 4 different people checking in. Kind of an awkward experience. Would definitely get carry out or go again!“
“Visited just following lunch at around 1:30 ish PM. Very few people dining in (two). I ordered an edamame appetizer and the menu item SASHIMI WITH A KICK (special “kick” spicy sauce). All items suited me. My only drawback to the experience was that the sashimi (two pieces) were really well refrigerated and affected my sensitive teeth. “We have been trying to get in for months, maybe even years. Yesterday my friend got a notice (from being on the waitlist) there was a table and she was able to get one. And we were thrilled. We got there early, and since we have never been the 4 only bar seats actually aren’t for a bar. So we were turned away to just have a drink. But this was completely on us, and it fully say bar is first come first serve and they we’re very nice about it. We just didn’t know how strict that was. So we went next door for a drink and came back promptly for our reservation.Well let me say this place is worth the wait. Easily one of the best restaurant in St Louis. Our server Mike was amazing. He gave great drink recs and sold every dish with his descriptions. Everything was more than perfect. The food, the staff, the ambience. It all makes perfect sense why this place is jammed. I only hope we can get on the list sooner than later, but we will be trying. 10 out of 10!! They have their set menu and they have mastered every single dish! From the arroz con pollo seasoned to perfection, to the seafood ceviche your tastebuds will be dancing with delight! My son ordered a burger, which looked delicious. He confirmed that it was. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was to die for!! Velvety smooth and full of chunks of lobster! “Hidden gem! Despite being hidden in a rather boring strip mall Cowbron truly stands out as a great Mexican restaurant. It's a relatively new spot, and as I mentioned it's pretty unknown, so don't expect to wait long for a table. I personally have eaten here about 5-6 times and have yet to wait for a table on a Thursday or Friday night. Don't be fooled, they are amazing but quite off the map in terms of nearby restaurants, which is how I account for their low wait times. The food is great! The fajitas are large portions, enough for two to split after a couple baskets of chips and queso, and they have THE BEST CARNITAS I have ever had in my entire life. As a former chef I can definitely speak to this as carnitas are a dish that take time and thoughtfulness to be done great, both of which are evident once you've tried the tender meat on offer here. As a regular to Mariachis II and La Catrina I can tell you that this place has earned a spot in my top 3 favorite Mexican joints in the city. Go to Cowbron!“

Especially for those cuts. That was disappointing, but we stopped 'complaining' about overcooked steaks a long time ago; too many horror stories.But, the flavor was outstanding, seasoned flawlessly, my only nitpick on the tomahawk (besides being overcooked) was the rosemary garnish, it should have been left off the dish unless you love to eat those needles. We will be ordering different dishes and are hoping we have found our neighborhood place.“
