“Great bbq stand, right next to Love’s. I ordered a two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket. I got coleslaw and baked beans for my included sides. I paid $20 for the food.Meat was great. Tender, succulent, delicious. Both were lean with just the right amount of fat for my taste and preferences. Not a lot of seasoning either, so very meaty.Sides were okay. The coleslaw had too much mayonnaise for my taste; very creamy. I prefer a balanced mix of mayonnaise and vinegar. The baked beans were good. Flavorful and a little spicy, had some peppers in it. The bread roll was bad. I think it was one of those frozen types. I’d recommend just giving out cheap white bread.BBQ sauce tasted store-bought; if it’s homemade, I can’t tell. Traditional sweet style, like Sweet Baby Ray’s. Honestly, they should pair the meat with a vinegar-based sauce, like Carolina-style, to help balance the richness of the meat. That would be insanely good.Service was great, ladies were very nice. I didn’t stay and eat but the seating and environment was good. They didn’t have all the sides and drinks on the menu available; no big deal to me though.I will be back for more. I would probably just go for the meat by the pound and skip the sides next time.”
“I was told that the buffalo wings were second to none so my expectations were very high when I walked through the door. I must say that I was not disappointed. Excellent experience.”
“A fun place but if you don’t hit it at the right time, you will not get in or or have to stand in a very long line. The options are up on the wall and they ran out of them as we were waiting in line. They did add additional items as things ran out. The fried chicken was very tender and the sides were very yummy. The fried pork chop was pretty good, and Miss Pearl came around and greeted the customers and she was such a character.”
“This is one of the best places to eat in Laurel. The servers are always friendly, and they have the most delicious food. The food is cooked to perfection. They have a clean and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.”
“We did the tourist thing in Laurel this past week. Ate dinner at The Loft both Tuesday, with Abby as our server, and Thursday, with Emma as our server. I'll start with how fabulous these 2 young ladies were. Very attentive, took excellent care of us, and we just found them very nice and we had lovely conversations with them. The food both nights were excellent as well as the cocktails. On Tuesday, I had the special of fried oysters and hubby had the fried shrimp. We also had the appetizer of steak bites. On Thursday, I had the 9 oz filet tenderloin wrapped in bacon (pricey) and hubby had the Alfredo pasta with steak strips. My hubby is not a steak person, but loved the tenderness/flavor of the steak bites and steak strips. He also said the Alfredo sauce was the best he's ever had. Our compliments to the chef and bartender as well. Very enjoyable meals.”
“This is the actual best restaurant in Laurel. Definitely get the garlic knots. Also, our server Gustavo was so nice and helpful. It was the only meal we had that was truly flavorful and absolutely delicious. We also went across the street to Mimmo’s Gelato and it was delicious too.Parking: There’s a free parking lot behind the restaurant.”
“Visited via the drive-thru on Monday March 11 while in Laurel, MS. Staff was wonderful! Neither of us could hear each other clearly over the "squawk -box" so she asked me to pull up to the window. She (didn't get this beautiful Sistah's name) was wonderful at guiding me through the menu, suggesting items, and explaining the different sauces. Food is great! Well-seasoned meats and vegetables. My friend and I had one of our best meals in Laurel at Dickey's BBQ Pit!”
